Extremely rude and outdated dentist. I called to get information about my 72 year old mother’s dental treatment. The girl that answered had no idea how to speak to customers. She had to go back and forth with the doctor and place me on hold several times. Then the doctor came on the phone and said my mom needed to sign a consent to speak to me, which I understand since I’ve been in the dental field for over 20 years.The only reason my mom went to a dentist that I didn’t refer her to was because she wanted to go somewhere in network with her insurance.I asked him if he could email the hipaa compliance to my mom. He said no, that she needed to go in person. It’s 2020 what the ? I told him that’s weird usually a lot of transactions can be done via email. He said she had to period. I find it rude that you want my 72 year old mother to go back and forth exposing herself to COVID to satisfy your egotistical urge to confront my elderly mother in person.He kept speaking over me, yelling at times. So I hung up. Then when I was calm I called back, he answered “weird right” considering he should have perfectly capable staff to handle his front office issues for him. I asked him how much was a copy of X-rays and he said free if the patient signs the release, perfect, no problem! He then asked who I was and I said I was the daughter who he just spoke to and he said “oh you hung up on me”, and I said yes because you were screaming and being very rude. I told him he was extremely unprofessional and he said “you can’t talk to me like that I’m a dentist”. No lie !! I can’t believe someone would say that.I have three degrees, and know my way around a dental office better than you sir. You obviously need a lot of help managing your practice. All I wanted to know was the plan for my mother’s treatment today as she’s heavily fearful of the dentist.
