Was there for 4yrs, the nurse i had at first was great but when she quit. The other nurses kept asking me isnt there a clinic closer to you. They was determined to kick me out. I got covid and was at the doctors due to my symptoms getting worse which led me to be admitted to the hospital. Before I went was admitted, I called to explain and they had dismissed me. Pretty sure that is illegal...

Really disappointed in their Covid precautions. Front office receptionist not masked and the nurse told us we didnt have to wear our masks. When asked why masks werent enforced the nurse responded well if someone has a medical condition like claustrophobia we cant make them wear one. What an absolute joke. My mom is extremely immunocompromised and this lackadaisical approach to health and safety is putting her life as risk. Shame on Active Pain Treatment. We will be seeking another practice that takes things seriously.

When Pandemic first started I noticed that hardly no one wore a mask. I thought I had a very good relationship with them. There incompetence, their level of care was quite evident in the past year. You would think being a doctor’s office they would know they need the a signature before sending a script to a pharmacy right? Or sending a script back with PA signature not Doctor. Waiting a week or more to get back with me when I left voice message. Everything seemed harder and complicated.I used to love coming here & is such a shame how much this office changed this past year. I have been going here for 4 yrs and thought I had great relationship with them. They were always personable, very caring, chatted with me longer than 5-10 min, were on top of things, took great care of me and were very good at what they did. I even gave them excellent review 4 yrs ago. So I’m not just basing this bad review on 1 visit. It’s based on many visits and many things. Provider even said to me that I was one of her favorite patients. In the past my appointments usually lasted less than 1/2 hour & I was never late in 4 yrs and very rarely had to leave a voice message. Which they would return that day or the next day. Because I got caught in traffic jam, and (I had to go back home to get my mask bc I brought another purse & forgot it), I was 6 min late. I have never been late before. When I went out of my room to see what was going on I happened to have seen my provider go to another room & & I know that patient came way after me Ignored me and said I can make you wait 3 or 4 hours or as long as I feel like it! Im one person & your not the only patient here. You might be thinking this is stupid for me to react this way. But making me wait 2 hours bc I was 6 min late? It was based more on principle & thought I established personal relationship with them. It really bothered me. Now I have waited plenty of times when I went to doctor even 3 or 4 hours in fact. But never have I waited this long on purpose. And Im in my 50s. So this wasn’t the only doctor I’ve been to and i know how things go by now.Teresa

This is not a pill mill. If your looking for one dint waste your time. I was with Active for 5 yrs and left due to personal reasons. I was with a different pain clinic for 2 yrs. I regretted leaving. I had no clue what my physical condition had in store for me.These guys are top notch. They care. The 2 physicians I have are excellent. Highly recommended pain clinic.

I have been going to Active Pain Treatment or about seven months and have had excellent care. Today I have my first injection appointment. Unfortunately, Dr. Fox does not provide injections at The Active Pain Treatment Center. He provides them at Fort Sanders West. When given the appointment I was told to go to Fort Sanders, 2nd Floor. I should have asked for the street address. Instead I assumed their was only one Fort Sanders in Knoxville. After searching the facility for over an hour I finally figured out that I was at the wrong location! Please do not make the same mistake that I have. The correct location for injections with Dr. Fox is 280 Fort Sanders West Blvd. Knoxville, TN.
