I am currently on the road traveling and it was amazing to be able to conduct a telemedicine appointment with Dr. Overholt. This seemed particularly effective with dermatology. We were able to diagnose my issue over FaceTime and I was then able to make an appointment for surgery. This was extremely convenient, helped to ease my concerns and the entire process was beyond simple. Thanks Skin Wellness Center and Dr. Overholt!

Janet NP has taken care of me for several years. Also on time, explains what she is doing and why. She gives detailed instructions and always says call if you need me. I would recommend her especially and the entire group to anyone. Also my husband goes to this group.

Extremely professional and thorough! I was in for a full body scan. I not only felt like she took her time to check everything, but she also educated me on what she was seeing, and what I need to watch for.

I am an established patient with the Skin Wellness Center since at least 2015, probably longer than that. I contacted their office this morning because I was experiencing a severe skin reaction to a medication (itching sensation all over body, severe rash on scalp, and less severe rash patches on my chest and extremities).I called their office right at 8 am when it opened and asked if there were any cancellations or if I could be worked into the schedule. I communicated in detail the nature of my medical situation. I was particularly concerned about hair loss due to the severity of the rash on my scalp. The receptionist with whom I spoke was borderline rude and certainly indifferent to what I believe was a situation that warranted concern.She would not offer me an appointment until at least 30 days in the future because I had not been to the Skin Wellness Center recently and was therefore considered a “new patient” again.I am disappointed and honestly appalled by a policy that would turn away an established patient experiencing a severe dermatological response. I went to the emergency department instead and required treatment with a steroid shot, prescription antihistamine, Prednisone to be taken over the next 5 days, and an ointment to be applied to my scalp for the next 10 days.I will be transferring my care to a new dermatologist. I do not recommend the Skin Wellness Center and suggest you look elsewhere for a dermatologist’s office where patient well-being and compassion is a priority.

I came in for my very first lip filler appointment. I have multiple large scars on and around my lip. This has always been an insecurity of mine. Janet did not disappoint in the slightest! She did an incredible job! I cant even see the scars with lipstick. Everything is so smooth. I cannot thank her enough! Will be going back! Probably more than I should😂 thank you Janet and staff!

When I first made this post I was in a hurry before going to work so I gave 5 stars and I forgot to write more. ~~Now that I can write more I want to say that Skin Wellness Center is the greatest!~Especially, Dr. Janet Breeding! She has helped to get my severe eczema under control and Im so thankful! If I have more flare-ups with the eczema she gets it under control again! Im so thankful! The whole staff is great there and everyone is very nice, and they all care! They are very professional and they know what they are doing. They can help you with any skin problem! Please see Dr. Janet Breeding or any of the other staff and they will help you!

I have had a few basal cell carcinomas over the year and I feel very satisfied being under Dr. Overholts care. She is very thorough and knowledgeable. She also has a great bedside manner and takes a lot of time explaining everything. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I have had to wait for a while to be called back.

My experience has always been very good. Dr. Over holt has always been very thorough in checking me for melanoma.

This was my first time to the Skin Wellness Center seeing Janet, and I am very happy I did. I have been getting Botox and filler for 13+ years. I have been injected my RN’s, PA’s, Plastic Surgeons and Janet by far impressed me the most. She talked me into doing an injection under my eyes for hollowness and dark circles. I decided to just trust her and let her do it, and I am so glad I did. I can’t believe the difference. She also done botox for my forehead and crows feet and Juvaderm for my lips and Nasalabial creases. I’m glad I trusted her and will continue to go to her.Thank you Janet. 😘

Extremely disappointed with my “care” at the center. I called and checked ahead to see if my insurance would cover a visit, and was told that it would. Made an appointment for acne and received a prescription, and when picking up the prescription was told it was $1000 but that they would contact the center to see if they could get the price down, and that I would be receiving a call when they did. Never heard anything back, received a bill in the mail for $230 even though I was told my insurance covered the visit. Called at least five times since then to see if I could at least receive a prescription with a reasonable price or SOMETHING if I have to pay over $200 for care that I never received, and cannot get in contact or a call back from the center. I leave my name, birthday, phone number, all the information they ask for everytime I call. I did speak with someone in billing one time when I first received the bill and explained that I was told it was going to be covered by my insurance and she was extremely rude and irritable with me and provided no help other than telling me I had to pay it either way. $230 down the drain for a 10 minute talk and no care provided.

I see Lindsay Frazier and she’s been the only dermatologist in over 15 years that I’ve been comfortable enough with to try accutane. Every interaction with every person in their office over the last 3 years has been positive and I’ve never left there feeling bad about myself, only hopeful and good about my skin.

Waited 30 minutes past appt time.. saw PA for 2 minutes. Excellent service, nice , courteous support staff. Wait seems long for a 2 minute visit.

Alexis has been really great in looking after my skin. I have red spots on my face due to internal blood vessels breaking out underneath the shin. I’ve been to several places and nobody was able to help except when I met Alexis she had tried her laser treatment on me and told me give it several tries and it’ll work. After several tries I’ve noticed a big difference in my skin and it’s looking a lot better now. If it wasn’t for Alexis I’d still be hunting down for an experts to help me with my skin. But I now have found the perfect person for all of my treatments. Thank you Alexis

I am currently a patient of Dr. Fraizer and have been a patient of Dr. Grande in the past. The doctors are wonderful - I am especially thankful for Dr. Fraizer and her understanding of my conditions and sense of urgency to help me heal.My one star is due to Dr. Frazier’s nurse, attempting to reach her on the nurse line, and her customer service. I work in hospitality so I am no stranger to customer service and try to be understanding when I am on the end of being the customer. I am currently seriously considering changing dermatologists, which is not a minor consideration for me because my condition heavily relies on medication and I am risking putting myself in a situation where I may not receive my medication in time and that risks my condition to flare and possibly put me out of work until I can get back on my prescription. The process of getting my prescription is long and arduous, so this is a really big and stressful risk for myself.I have made close to 10 voicemail attempts to reach the nurse regarding my medication, starting before I took my last dose which lasts for a two week period.My phone does not save calls made beyond two weeks ago, but the attempts I have documented that I have made to contact Dr. Frazier’s nurse have been on:- 4/28 (no call back)- 5/3 (they called me back but I missed the call because I was at work and no voicemail was left)- 5/4 (I gave them my schedule on my voicemail this day in order to prevent missing their call, no call back within 24 hrs)- 5/6 (they called me back on 5/6, after my shift at work already started, and left a voicemail with no information regarding my medication, and only to passive aggressively say that she attempted to reach me on the 3rd and that is all)- 5/8 (this is a Saturday which they aren’t open, but I was hoping they would call me back on Monday and they didn’t)- 5/10, I made two attempts today. One at 1:30pm, and again at 4pm. Their hours state they are open until 5pm, but they apparently already left the office and made no attempt to call me back.As I mentioned, I had made previous attempts before 4/28 but I do not have those dates documented because of my phone.I am incredibly stressed, my next dose is due this coming Friday and I have absolutely no idea what is going on on their end I’m getting my prescription refilled. I know there is a prior authorization process going on right now, and there was a name change going on with my insurance card. I fixed my name change issue over a week and a half ago- plenty of time to continue the process of my prior authorization. I have made 3 attempts to figure out if there’s a way to expedite the process with my pharmacy - their hands are tied. I cannot contact my insurance about the prior authorization because they will only speak to the nurse or doctor prescribing the medication.I find Dr. Frazier’s nurse’s lack of communication or even attempt to fill me in on what is going on to be completely negligent and inconsiderate. I do not ever like to leave reviews like this but I spend my two days off of work stressing about this medication that I need in order to be able to function normally and work. I know they are probably dealing with a lot on their end- but regardless, it is their job to communicate and prescribe medications, this is completely irresponsible and unacceptable service.If they fix this issue and make a better system for being able to contact the nurse, I will return and update my review. But I cannot in good faith recommend this office simply due to the lack of communication from the nurse’s end which is extremely unfortunate because I do love the doctors at this office. I had to post this experience because I would hate for someone else, who is reliant on medication, to experience something similar. The unnecessary stress of this process is simply not worth it.Update 5/11: a full update of my experience is posted in a Facebook review due to character limits. Essentially, we are at a complete stand still due to the nurse’s neglectful bedside manners.

Leslie is amazing. She is very knowledgeable about procedures and options. I was hesitant in having the hybrid lazer treatment for sun damage, however she made me comfortable and explained everything. I have been a part of the skin wellness family for many years. I hate the drive but love the experience.

As a medical student, I was very disappointed by the lack of bedside manners and the general disrespect that I received today during my ResurFX acne scar consultation with Leslie Cardwell. The entire appointment only lasted a total of 4 minutes and felt incredibly rushed. I was told “let’s get you scheduled for the procedure” many times, even though she had only spoken to me for 1 min, asked 1 question (my skincare routine), and still hadn’t addressed critical information such as: ResurFX’s mechanism of action, procedure time, healing time, and possible side effects. Instead, it felt like I was a burden whenever I did ask a question— as evidenced by her standing up from the chair to open the door and usher me out. Despite the promising results of ResurFX technology, the dismissive and rushed nature of today’s exchange has dissuaded me from using Skin Wellness Center’s services because I cannot trust this place with my skin if this is how the staff will treat me.

Dr. Overholt is a pleasure to work with and she takes great time and care to understand meet her patients needs and concerns. I highly recommend her services!

I went for my annual body scan and everything about the visit was perfect. It was the middle of the afternoon and they were still on schedule! Danielle Warren was excellent and thorough as usual. Her assistant was great. Check out procedure was fast and the person who assisted me was quick and professional. I will recommend.

They are always on time get you in and out quickly. Dr Ware listens and then treats as needed. They will take as much time as needed and answer your questions. I have 3 kids that go here and always been treated great. Staff/Nurses are also very helpful.

The receptionist who sat in the middle of the other two ladies behind the desk spoke in a rude harsh tone if you are here to see a doctor, sign-in( no please, no smile, no may I help you). The tone was so grating I almost left. Unfortunately those were the very first words I heard in this office and it really put me off.Fortunately everyone else was very nice and helpful. I hope this was an isolated instance.I am upgrading from a 3 star review to a 5 star because of my second visit. The Receptionist and all the staff were very pleasant. I felt they really tried to make me comfortable. I had a lot of questions that were answered patiently. I came away with the sense that I had found the help I needed. Relived to find this gem.

Came here to get a mole removed off of my nose. The full thing was not removed so I ended up calling the office back and spoke with Sarah, and was told I would still be charged another copay period when I said that doesnt seem very fair her response was Well life isnt fair unfortunately. Extremely unprofessional and very disappointed within this company. I wont be coming back or recommending this place to anyone.

My original appointment was for April 2020 and I asked to be put on a cancellation list due to an issue with a skin problem on my shoulder. Within 2 weeks I received a notice of a cancellation. They have been absolutely amazing. I had a huge bunch of skin that I was worried that might be skin cancer. I had to have shots (which I am terrified of even as an adult) to numb the skin so they could remove it and the nurses held my hands while it happened. No one made fun of me or jokes or anything. They were kind and talked me through the entire process of what was happening. They are and will always continue to be my dermatologist. This was my first time visiting The Skin Wellness Center and it was a good experience. I was greeted with a crowded waiting room, however a very friendly reception staff. My wait to be call back was short. I had to wait a little bit in the exam room for the doctor but considering the crowded waiting room the wait was not too awfully long, maybe 10-15 minutes. My appointment was scheduled for 2:40 and I was seen by the doctor at 3:15. The doctor was absolutely wonderful, she had a fantastic personality, did a thorough examination and clearly explained my concerns and options. I will definitely use The Wellness Center and this wonderful doctor in the future if needed.

Im very happy with Skin Wellness center. They always get me in very quickly and I love linsey the NP. Shes always upbeat , kind and very informative. Doctor is great, very knowledgeable, but their late arrival policy is ridiculous, not accommodating at all. The front office staff is rude and not understanding. They should definitely have to go through some training on how to talk to people, without throwing their late arrival policy at our faces, figuratively speaking, but dealing with people with a bit more respect, that would certainly be helpful.

Promptly taken in for appointment, not more than 5min wait, that was excellent. Everyone very pleasant and cordial. My only negative would be that this was a one year check visit and all of it felt very rushed so next time I will have my list prepared. I did not get a notice for scheduling the one year and when I called it took 4 months to get it in and then rushed thru the appointment.

Skin Wellness provides prompt, professional care with a personal caring touch. You are greeted immediately by friendly, courteous people and have little or no wait time. The doctors and nurse practitioners provide care and concern beyond the norm and have genuine concern for your issues. I would not go anywhere else and I recommend them daily to my friends and co-workers.

I have been looking a long time for a good female dermatologist and I think I have found her. I saw Dr. Kimberly Grande today and really liked her. She was very nice and took plenty of time with me to explain things. I even liked the office staff. This is definitely the dermatologist I will be seeing in the future.

My experience with The Skin Wellness Center has been in one word, amazing. I am 45-years-old and have had severe eczema since I was a baby that over the years had gotten worse instead of better. Over the years, I have gone to just about every dermatologist in Knoxville who only wanted to put me on steroids or give me shots. A friend of mine, told me to give The Skin Wellness Center a try that they had helped her with her psoriasis and that she thought that they could help me, so at the end of my rope with the eczema and all that it entails, the itching, burning, embarrassment, depression, lack of sleep, I made an appointment. That day, I went in crying as I was so miserable and saw Dani. She was so sweet and compassionate. She gave me something different to try, something old-fashioned, and something that had never been tried on me or thought of in the past by the other doctors I had visited. After a couple of days, my eczema was completely cleared up. It has been two years now and I have had just minimal flares that are simply manageable with cream and not even having to go to a doctor visit except for yearly management. So I have to say that The Skin Wellness Center has truly been a cure for me and such a blessing!!! I will never go to another dermatologist ever... they are simply the best!!!!Melanie Bench

Provides both dermatology and cosmetic care. Im on an annual review for previous melanoma. Treatment is professional, thorough and without pressure. Costs seem reasonable. I trust this center for competent skin care and have no problem recommending.

Their front office people are incompetent on how they applied my payments and now I am being harassed by a collection agency a year later saying that I still owe money! The accounting department won’t do any research with who processed my payment up front assuming their error was on my part! After paying the thousands of dollars I am being harassed over a $50 charge that they misapplied somehow. I am business person myself and have an excellent credit rating and always always pay my bills! Not to mention during my procedures they miscalculated my balance and ask me for more money due to their error and I paid it! Always get receipts!!!! Very unprofessional staff!

I cannot imagine anyone having a bad experience at this practice. Ive been a melanoma patient of Dr. Overholts for over 10 years and have never had a worry or concern over the way my treatment has been handled. Ive also had numerous treatments on the cosmetics side of the practice and found them to be highly skilled professionals as well. Best dermatology group in Knoxville.

I was impressed with my nurse Jessica Cheverton and PA-C Warren. They were both very professional and I received great treatment. I feel they are both up on the latest technology in skin treatments and I feel very comfortable taking their advise. I am very satisfied with this part of Skin wellness. Where I wasn’t too impressed was with the check in process. I did not see much friendliness on the receptionist’s part and felt that they were not appreciative of my business. That phase of Skin Wellness needs improvement. Overall, I liked my medical evaluation and treatment and will continue choosing Skin Wellness Center as my Dermatolgy needs provider.
