The dental staff have worked to make sure I got my appointments in before I leave town for work. They have informed me of my dental health and did a great cleaning. Super nice and great job

I highly recommend Dental works. They were very friendly and accommodating. I’m fortunate enough to have dental insurance so my bill was actually affordable. I know of others who’ve went to other dentist in the area and they paid way more than I did even with insurance. They have a whole plan set up for me to get my entire mouth straightened out over time so that I can afford it. They really are incredible. The workers are all friendly and the dentist was awesome. He made sure I did not feel any pain, only pressure. There is absolutely zero judgment here they really are just here to help.

If you need a dentist, I highly recommend Dr McFarlane of Dental Works Associates. Probably one of my favorite doctors Ive ever had. Nice, easy going, knows what hes talking about, easy on the mouth, and one of the only good experiences Ive had with a dentist.

Ive been to a lot of dentists over the years and lets face it, most people dont like to go to the dentist. But this dentist and his staff are great! They take the time to explain what needs to be done, youre not hurried through. The office has a calm vibe to it. I highly recommend DentalWorks .

They are unwilling to be flexible or solution-oriented with patient care during this pandemic. I called today to simply ask about at-home care and prescription mouthwash options, but the receptionist was extremely rude and actually hung up on me after I told her I wasnt calling to set up an appointment. It seems their priority is to get you in the dentist chair with their hands in your pockets, rather than patient health and safety. Theyve lost my business because of this.

I took a chance on going to DentalWorks after a badly broken molar was starting to give me issues, pain, and a complicated extraction was imminent. I had a regular dentist, but hadnt seen him in at least a year and knew that my issue/extraction of a broken tooth would be beyond his scope of treatment, as had been the case in the past. I saw that this DentalWorks practice offered every service from general dentistry, to root canals & oral surgery, to implants and dentures. This fact they could do all of this in one place was the big determining factor for me. After my first visit, I knew Id made the right choice. Dr McFarlane and his staff are friendly, caring, and provide top-notch service. Im very thankful for the relief Ive received and satisfied with my plan of care thats been put in motion.

I was having an issue with a tooth and with everything closed due to the virus I didnt know what to do. ER sounded like a scary idea. My insurance company got hold of Dental works and they said they would see me since they were open for emergency treatment. They were wonderful. I felt like I was in very good hands. Everything was clean and they were all following the protocol required. Thank you so much for taking care of me!

This is one of the best dentists in Knoxville. I had to have work on crowns, and they have me a very pretty smile with the partials they put on. I am very grateful. Quick and virtually painless

I had a great experience. PPE precautions are extensive. They have Covid test patients go around the back so normal customers can still sit in waiting room. I only waited 15 mins despite them being low on staff. Fast service, good people, and very professional.

Everything went great, I had to get fillings and the procedure was quick and painless. Everyone was very professional. They cared about my comfort and listened to my concerns regarding a new upper denture and a lower partial.

These folks had messed up previously on my procedure and when they found out how disgruntled I was they contacted me PROMPTLY and offered a solution at NO CHARGE. I was impressed by that. I went in the very next day and the dentist took care of the issue. I was pleased with the sense of urgency of my pain and the getting me in so quickly. Kudos for making something so wrong a bit right.

Great bunch of people. Havent been to the dentist in quite some time... Dr. McFarland made me feel comfortable and welcome. He and his group of employees make one heck of a team. I felt so comfortable at my appointment with Dr McFarland and his professionalism and skilled hygienists, technicians, and receptionists, that I immediately set a follow-up appointment for 3 weeks later to go to a full work-up.At my second appointment it was more of the same! Great customer service. fast service. Thorough service. Dr. McFarland and his hygienist Keisha both took their time to explain their advised course of action. I trust there professional opinions. If Dr McFarland ever leaves here I want to know where he goes cuz Im going there!And once again I sat my third appointment for 3 weeks later. Its good to unexpectedly find a great dentist through Google nearby search. Now I have somebody to recommend whenever somebody asks me!

Came in for abscessed tooth, the staff was friendly & professional. I self pay, the charge was reasonable.

I went in for an extraction. It was a little bit of a wait but everything was great. The staff are quick and efficient as well. The doc did good work and worked quick. Their prices are reasonable as well.

The staff, including the dentist, Dr. McFarland, go above and beyond to make sure the person is happy with their cosmetic dental appliances, in my case, dentures. They took careful measurements, encouraged me to bring photos of the desired results, and allowed me to consult with the dental lab to ensure satisfaction with the appearance during the wax try-in. Everyone with whom I came in contact was friendly, personable, helpful and willing to answer any questions I had. I would recommend them and will return in Jan. to complete the full dentures.

It’s been years since I’ve been to the dentist. At Dental Works I was able to get an appointment the next day. They also gave me options , prices and answered all my questions even if I didn’t go with the best choice cause money was tight but we together were able to come up with a solution were down the road I can get the best for my teeth.

Having a set a dentures made, sometime is not as easy as it sounds. But Dr. McFarland and his wonderful staff were both friendly and efficient. They were great about working with me around my appointments . but what really won me over was this. As with any kind of service or product things happen. So when I got my dentures back I wasnt happy with the way they looked. It was nothing they did wrong, we discussed them before they made the denture but I did not like the way I looked with them . Again tho there was no fault of their own they were more than happy to make another upper plate to ensure my satisfaction. Now I love my new dentures they look great, more importantly they fit perfect and feel great. I would recommend Dental Works on Clinton Hwy to anyone, anytime .

Staff was friendly and services were completed quickly. I was able to get into the office for a cleaning and a filling in the same day. Dr. McFarlane listed to me, first dentist to ever listen to me about my teeth. I had 2 teeth pulled. I did not have any complications. I have had several teeth removed and always had problems. He will be my new Dentist.

These guys are great. I work nights and had overslept missing my appointment. They were very understanding and got me in the next day. They made me feel very comfortable and explained step by step what they were doing. If you need a dentist do not hesitate to call them.

The dentists are good and caring. But the staff they do not friendly and caring. I was standing there for 15 minutes and no one helped me with the process of checking in.

Just an FYI there are front desk staff not wearing masks, and they’re not requiring masks for when you are in the waiting room. And they’re charging each patient an extra $10 for the PPE used by the staff.

The hygienists and Dr. MacFarland are wonderful. The office manager at times needs an attitude adjustment. Make sure to know which insurance you gave before going. New office personnel makes the insurance a disaster if you dont call ahead of time. The scheduling is easy and rescheduling is easy when following the rules of the clinic.

The dentist was professional and friendly. He explained everything very well. The only complaint I have is that i thought i was going in for a cleaning. Apparently this company works differently than an independent dentist. My appointment was lengthy and was just to establish a plan of care. Thats fine. I just wish that i had been told that when scheduling my appointment.

I usually go to the dental works in Alcoa..but there was no dentist available there this week..so I went to the one on Clinton hwy. I liked the dentist much better. The other dentist is very ruff when shes in my mouth and never numbs me enough. The dentist I had at Clinton hwy didnt get me at all. He gave me enough novacaine and he wasnt ruff while he was fixing my tooth. For that Im greatfull and will be going there from now on. The only thing I didnt like was I had to pretty much wait 1.5 hours before they fixed my tooth. Thats all I have bad to say about my visit..overall very satisfied..good job thank you.

I have been using this office for about 7-10 years.Everyone is always so friendly in this office. There is a closer office to my house but I drive out of my way because of the friendliness in this office.

I literally just walked out of the Clinton highway office in Knoxville Tennessee without making an appointment. I went in explained that I would like a cleaning but I have to teeth that need attention. When she started to make the appointment she asked for a particular day I gave the day and time and when I said ok you have nothing else sooner, she said yes for a cleaning and I said well I did say I have 2 teeth that need attention. I broke two teeth over the weekend. She became snippy and have a horrible attitude. Thats the reason I did not make an appointment I just left. Now off to find a dentist. Goldie Harrill

Courteous little slow don’t come to early if there busy have wait for appt.got new teeth on 6 mo or 4 gave me temps teeth bottoms they put liner in bottom teeth still moved all over place they said there held in with suction no suction to hold them in place bottoms Sucks but the Dentist and assistant where great

Simply, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. The ONLY positive thing I can present is that their front desk folks have always been stellar. However, the rest is a gimmick. The place is grimy and run down. The dentist is rude and does shoddy work. I had the same filling needing to be replaced because of poor work twice, then it fell out a third time. On top of that, I was presented a ridiculous laundry list of work I needed done, including a crown that was not necessary. After visiting my current dentist, I literally needed one of those extra procedures. ONE! Im so glad Ive put DentalWorks behind me. Do yourself a favor an dont even step foot into the Clinton Highway location. Remember to shop local, not corporate, kids! Wish I had remembered this before going here in the first place.

The only redeeming quality about this place was the doctor, he was kind and took the time to explain the whole process, the front desk ladies were very hen house and kept pushing a 140 dollar toothbrush on me, the location was quite run down the equipment seemed like it needed some updating.. i feel bad for the doctor because he was a wonderful doctor, but the surroundings were a disappointment

Worst experience ever! Notice how some of these positive google comments on here read like advertisements and notice how a lot of the feedback are left by the same people over and over? Wonder if this office is trying to stay ahead of their negative feedbacks by entering their own positive feedback? It looks like they are loosing the battle. Their score is dismal! I will not be back ever!

This was my first dental appointment in a long time. The staff was very friendly and efficient. After the exam, they scheduled me for a cleaning for the next day, and then offered to do the couple of fillings I needed right then and there. The hygienist worked at ninja speed to do the gingival exam. The sweet dental assistant/nurse Jen (I think thats her name; she had glasses) and the dentist were both fantastic. The dentist had to do local blocks for the fillings, which isnt a big deal to any normal person. However, between my extreme anxiety and uncomfortable-ness of being poked with needles, I had tears pouring out of my eyes while he did the blocks. They were both great in dealing with it though. They made light of the situation by making me laugh with jokes, were quick to finish, and did their best to make sure I was okay. (I know, quite pathetic for a person in their late 20s to cry at the doctors office over needles...). Its only been one visit, but I would recommend this office to anyone.

They deserve a ZERO! I had an appointment for my granddaughters for a month for 11/22 at 1pm. Put it in my Outlook calendar. I received a call from them the day beforethe appointmemt about getting my insurance information and their birth date where the lady confirmed the 1pm appointment. I showed up at 1250pm and the lady said there appointment was for 11 and 1130. She tried to show me but magically their name was not at that time. What a joke. Now they will have to miss school for a teeth cleaning. She said she would rescheduled and quickly let her know we would not be using their services ever. If she tries to charge my insurance they will file a claim of fraud. I knew she messed up appointments because she couldnt even get the insurance numbers correct. What a joke of a place.

Dr. McFarlane is an excellent dentist. He has done several procedures on me, all with excellent results. He and the staff are friendly and caring.
