My whole family had been seeing Dr. Buzz for years. We stuck with him even after he got in trouble with the board. This morning I got a text about my son’s appointment next week, and they advised me that they aren’t in network with BCBS anymore because Dr Geo left to go back to Florida earlier this year. It would of been nice of them to let us know this earlier this year, because now I have to find a new dentist for my whole family, and my son’s 6 month cleaning is supposed to be in a week. Not very professional in my opinion.

Our family has been seeing Dr. Nabers for over 20 years. By far the best dentist we’ve ever had. Always available and always amazing work. His assistant, Tammy, always goes above and beyond also.

My visit was fantastic! It started with a tour of the office. My hygienist Jessica explained each procedure and allowed plenty of opportunity for questions. She showed me my dental x-rays and photos and made me feel comfortable and well informed during my cleaning. Dr. Buzz was gentle and thorough and gave me his undivided attention during my exam.

Who have I become?? Im literally counting the days until I get to go back for my 6-month follow-up! As someone who has always dreaded the dentist, I have had my attitude completely turned around by a singular experience at Buzz Nabers! From the 90s music in the office to my hygienist Carmens kindness (and seriously good x-raying skills - literally it was the best!), this was hands down the best dentist experience Ive ever had - great enough to be my first Google reviews. Huge thanks to the staff and special s/o to my dentist Gio who isnt the namesake, but will probably be one day!

From the moment I walk into the door, I am greeted by name and with a smile by Sacha and Barbara. My Hygienist, Alexis, is super gentle and explains things in a way I can understand. Dr. Gio also talks to me as if Im an actual patient and not a number they are pushing through the door. I love being a patient here.

Dr. Aldama and Nabers are excellent clinicians and have always take the best care of me during my visits. From the office personnel to the hygienist, everyone is engaging and very friendly. Office offers a vast spectrum of services but isn’t pushy about them as I’ve experienced in other offices. Thank you!

So, I absolutely hate going to the dentist, but I LOVE going to Buzz Nabers. Everyone is so nice, especially Sacha at the front desk! They really work to make you comfortable. Before the pandemic, you even got a hand wax at each appointment. Gio is an amazing dentist and they work really hard to make sure that any issues you have with your mouth are fixed long term. I cant recommend them enough!

I cant speak for the new dentist they brought on, but I started going to Dr. Nabers less than a year ago. In July he was cited by the TN department that governs dentists for violations. You can read about them on the TN official website. I really wanted to like this guy. I have a poor history with honest dentists and am sad to add this guy (Dr. Nabers) to the list. Dentists dont like my mouth. A previous issue restricts me from fully opening. I am often bruised. In removing a temporary crown, I was bruised on my check and he split my lip open. It was on there good and he struggled to get it off, but it hurt and took a week to heal. My previous dentist was the only good one Ive found and is in another state. She was gentle as anything and I didnt have these issues with her. I like the hygienists, always nice and caring. However, after my issue and the disciplinary action, I will be looking for another dentist. I never did get my letter and feel they have not had open, honest communication with their patients about whats going on. If they were up front and apologetic I might feel a little differently, but theyve been hiding and sent a random email about how to get various testing done with no note about why they sent it. Its just shady business. I prefer to go to honest dentists.

Dr. Nabers is the absolute best dentist to see in Knoxville! I used to live in Knoxville and even though Ive moved, I still drive in from Atlanta to see Buzz for teeth cleaning and whitening. This is by far the cleanest dental office Ive been to and the people are super nice. The dentist and dental hygienists in Dr. Nabers practice demonstrate the skills, knowledge, and professional values that define a competent practice of dentistry.

Dr. Buzz and his staff are amazing and I would highly recommend him! With being in the military, we have certain paperwork to turn in. His staff is always understanding and prepared with extra paperwork in case we forgot it. Dr. Buzz is amazing when it comes to working in emergencies too. I was a patient at your downtown office. Given recent events I will no longer be one. It is extremely unethically to put patients health at risk due to willful negligence. I hope that no one contracted anything life threatening and I hope this costs you your practice.

Is there a doctor in the house? Ive been going here for about 2 years, and have visited both locations. Always on time, a pleasant experience, and they go the extra mile with thoughtful amenities. My only concern is that never in two years have I seen, heard from, or spoken with the dentist. It may just be a factor of my early morning appointments, and it certainly wouldnt deter me from continuing to go back, it just seems like you should cross paths with your dentist every now and then when going to the dentist. Still, the hygienists are great, and I highly recommend this office!

As a long time patient of Dr. Nabers, have always been pleased with his expertise and manners, the same with his staff and the exemplary condition of his office.

They have some of the rudest employees. They owe me a refund check where they over charged me. They say they delivered it but I have yet to receive it. Each time I call they make up excuses. They are of no help in locating the check. They say they will charge me the fee to void the check and send a new one. Do not go to this dentist.

My experience with the West office of Buzz Nabers was outstanding! The dental hygienist was professional, great at communicating what was happening, and incredibly helpful with future dental plans. I recommend anyone and everyone to make this company their go-to dentistry. Also, the hot neck pillow was a nice add-on to the visit.

Unethical and unprofessional! Avoid this dentist like the plague. How is it you still have a license to practice denistry? The least you could do is pay for your former patients lab expenses. I guess there is always the small claims court route. Its the principal of the matter.

I was previously a long time patient of this practice, but due to the recent actions of Dr Nabers and his questionable practices, he has destroyed that relationship. We have been instructed to get testing for infectious diseases and we have definitely found a new dentist. I can only hope others will read this review and avoid this practice altogether and the heartache and anxiety that we have endured up to this point.

Today I went Dr. Nabers office to get my 6 month cleaning. It was as easy as it has ever been. No unnecessary paperwork when you walk in the door. I was taken back for my appointment on time and the dental hygienist was fantastic. I was taken care of right from the start. Beginning with text messages to confirm and remind me of my appointment to the very end when I walked out the door. I was offered a hand treatment as well as a heated neck cushion. (all of which were free) Who knew you could get all of that at the dentist? I was very pleased with every aspect of my appointment and I would highly recommend this office to anyone who is looking.

I needed to get in for a quick checkup on my number 11 bicuspid as it was acting up on me. I called and the amazing office staff was able to fit me in same day so I could get checked out quickly by Dr. Nabers. The team fixed me up in no time and I was back to normal activity by early afternoon. Thanks for such great service and for accommodating last minute appointment requests!

This dentist just sent out a letter telling patients they may have been exposed to HIV, Hepatitis B or Hepatitis C as a result of visiting their dental offices. Just google Buzz Nabers and you will never go. I had multiple visits where I never saw a dentist but was told “the dentist will review my file later”. I should’ve paid attention to those warning signs. What a crook, don’t ever use this place. Put them out of business and put Nabers in jail.

This was my first visit to Dr. Nabers. It was a very good experience. Tammy greeted me and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was given a warm neck wrap as well as dipped my hands in paraffin! That was more than I expected. Dr. Nabers was so kind and worked with my unique situation. I did my research on all dentist in Knoxville, after my husbands insurance changed and my current dentist was no longer on the in plan list. I had chose the top three dentist based on my internet research and word of mouth references. Dr. Nabers won hands down after my first consultation meeting with him and his staff. I’ve had a LOT of bad dental experiences in my lifetime. The “dentist” who extracted my four impacted wisdom teeth told me that “only drug addicts get put under for this” procedure. So I was wide awake, which was a bad call.A friend referred me to Buzz several years ago when I was enduring unbearable tooth pain.Buzz Nabers is the kindest, gentlest and most sincere medical practitioner who has ever provided me care. His genuine concern, his attention to detail, and his sterling professionalism have changed the way I feel about going to the dentist.And after multiple dental implants, filled cavities, a custom-fit mouth guard to help me sleep, and 19 gorgeous, personally designed veneers, I can say without reservation, that Buzz Nabers, Tammy, and the rest of Buzz’s staff will be taking care of my teeth and my family’s teeth forever. 14/10 strongly recommend.

Im new to the area and went to Dr. Nabers downtown clinic at the recommendation of a doctor friend. Today I went for my first routine cleaning and had a wonderful experience. The staff was so friendly and the Dental Hygenist, Kelly, was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I was comforted by how she talked me through the cleaning and any findings. They had beautiful facilities and state of the art equipment. The complimentary hot wax hand treatment and neck warming therapy during the cleaning was just the cherry on top!

It’s a shame how you cannot even go to the dentist anymore without worrying whether you will leave with Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C or HIV! My family has been going to this dentist for several years now, but after hearing about the unlawful and unethical business practices of Buzz Nabers and his team, we will not be back and will urge everyone we know to take their business elsewhere. Perhaps Dr. Nabers should pay for the tests of each and every single individual whose health he put in danger.

Amazing! This place is awesome! They have a great homie new age Pinterest-esc ambience. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable. The sign in desk secretaries are super friendly. They constantly address you by your first name. (And we all know how much we love the sound of our name!) Alison, in particular, was amazing! She coached you through every step of the way and made you feel good by telling you what a great job you did! Haha AND they made you feel relaxed by giving you an option to do a cool spa like hand moisturizing wax treatment just because. Definitely recommend!

I am one of those people that is terrified of the dentist office, based on experiences from my younger days (the smell, the sounds of the drill, etc.) Thankfully, I found Dr. Nabers office!!!! His staff is so nice, so professional, and best of all--both offices are absolutely beautiful and dont even look like a dental office. No scary sounds, no hospital-like smells, just plenty of smiles and kind employees. I received x-rays and a cleaning from Ashton, who explained every detail of the process. I loved the heated neck cushion too. Ashton made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. She also informed me about their numerous other services and even gave me cost estimates. I have been going to Dr. Nabers for years. The recent news of his horrendous misconduct, pressing staff to do procedures they are not licensed to perform, not properly sanitizing his instruments, and forging documents horrifies me. I am currently on my way to get tested for HIV, hep B and hep C due to this practices poor sanitary techniques. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

So because he reused dental tools, I got to get tested for HIV and Hepatitis B/C.Hes also not paying for his patients to get tested. He told patients that they are paying at the health department, but that isnt true.

In 2004, I had a terrible toothache. Growing up, I didn’t go to the dentist much and lived off of a steady diet of Mountain Dew and Skittles. This terrible diet combined with no precedent of going to a dentist created a terrible situation inside my mouth. We’re talking lots of cavities, missing molars and a chipped tooth.One day, I was bartending a lunch shift at Kingston Alley and I asked a customer if they could recommend a good dentist. This was the first time I had heard of Buzz Nabers. His office was on Northshore Drive next to the Weigels. It was the same drive I used to make during high school to visit my girlfriend who lived off a side street that same direction. Perhaps that memory trigger was serendipitous because it was during high school that I became uncomfortable showing my teeth when I smiled. Every now and then I’d get a good photo with my teeth and that always made me feel better about myself. That was the exception to the rule. Most of the time, I hated pictures that showed my chipped and discolored tooth.When I visited Buzz’s office for the first time, I was nervous about how the techs and dentist would feel about my teeth. In my mind, I had the worst teeth they would ever see. I didn’t know what to expect because I had no memory of going to the dentist as a child. We always just put on numbing cream and pulled the tooth when it was time. Bring on the tooth fairy!I still vividly remember that first visit. Dr. Nabers, who went by Buzz, was soft-spoken and gentle. He wore a big smile and had kind eyes. The technicians, Stephanie and Tammy, treated me like old friends and asked me about my life. After going through what was bothering me (the toothache), we started making a plan to repair the problems. They told me they thought I had a lucky mouth with lots of areas that look great. I remember leaving the office feeling so much better about myself and proud that I took action to take care of something that had always bothered me.We started by pulling the tooth that hurt and getting a root canal. Next, we took steps to fix my smile. We started by covering up the discoloration and fixing the chipped tooth. I could finally smile with my teeth! Tackling missing molars was much more complicated because when you have big gaps in your gums for years the other teeth naturally move towards that gap, which causes misalignment in your bite. Buzz helped me find the answer and we put permanent implants in. By 2013, for the first time since childhood, I finally had ALL my teeth.Simply put, the care I received from Buzz Nabers gave me the confidence to take care of my health across the board.If you have ever felt about your teeth, the way I felt about mine, give Buzz and his team a chance to show you that there’s a better way.

I took my 10 year old in to have some teeth filled and he had to be numbed for the procedure. He is terrified of needles and they treated him so great. He said he didnt even feel the shot. They kept him laughing and did a fantastic job. I think Dr Nabers has a patient for life now in my little guy.

Buzz Nabers was cited for not following sterilization procedures so patients between Sep 2016-2019, like me, now have to get tested for HIV, Hep B and C. Additionally, Buzz Nabers allowed dental assistants to practice outside their scope by administering fillings, placing permanent crowns and inserting dental bridges. He also was cited for forging certification documents.

I have the phobia of phobias when it comes to dentists. After my wife basically made me go after 4 years of not going, I decided to try Buzz. Let’s just say I would go back monthly if I had to. Perfect, friendly staff. The extra treatments to make you feel pampered and calm (in my situation) was above and beyond. Don’t go anywhere else. I promise you won’t regret your decision. I left the office feeling great and will be back for my 6 month checkup for sure.

I was very pleased with my first appointment at Dr. Naberss downtown location. The dental hygienist I saw was skilled and pleasant, and the office was clean and comfortable. I only briefly met Dr. Nabers, but he seems knowledgeable and experienced. I would recommend Dr. Nabers to fellow Knoxvillians in need of a dentist.

As a child, I was very afraid of going to the dentist! If only Dr. Nabors and his staff had been around then!! I appreciate the excellent care but even more, I love the way Dr. Nabors and his staff make me feel...that I am valued and important to them!
