Allyson did a fantastic job on my facial. She is very knowledgeable and professional. She was also very courteous and polite. She let me know everything that she was going to do before she did it so I could learn about everything.

My friend took me here for my birthday, and it was my first spa experience ever. It was absolutely incredible. I didnt feel awkward at all, and the staff were super friendly. I even got a handwritten note in the mail a few days later inviting me back. Will definitely return.

For my birthday my boyfriend got us an hour long couples relaxing massage. I had Brittney and it was amazing, she did a wonderful job making me feel relaxed and refreshed! From the beginning, everything has been very easy and everyone has been super nice. When we arrived for our appointment they walked us through everything and asked our preferences. Since this was both of our first massages we were unsure of what we would enjoy. My wife received a relaxing massage with Leslie and she said it was absolutely the best she could’ve received. She enjoyed every second of it and thought it was extremely relaxing. I enjoyed a deep tissue massage with Kaitlin and she was great! Ive had lots of massages and Lakeesha at The Retreat has been THE ABSOLUTE BEST. The treatment i got was called The Retreat and it was everything I have been dying for this past year. My massage therapist was Lakeesha and I will be using her and only her for the rest of my life. I went to the Bearden location. I already got another gift card for my birthday and will be back there asap for a facial and massage this time!! If you get a chance to go here DONT pass it up and dont let prices deter you, its worth every bit.

My first experience with The Retreat was probably the best massage I have had in a few years. Laura is amazing and I will definitely request her the next time I go to The Retreat. The staff is very nice and professional and the location is convenient and space is extremely welcoming.

Best massage in Knoxville, hands down! Every time I come into The Retreat Im greeted with such positive and inviting energy from everyone there. For both of my visits, Ive booked massages with Allyson and they have been absolutely amazing! I leave feeling so much better than I did beforehand. I wouldnt consider going anywhere else in Knoxville!!

This was supposed to be an Anniversary present and it ended up being not such a great experience..From the get go there was a mix up in times and instead of calling or texting they charged our card $89, once we arrived they said they could do half the time but charged us most of the initial cost for the whole hour. They tried to up sale with hot stones and various other items, while treating us kind of like we had the plague even though we had taken a shower prior to arrival, we had paid for the full body Margarita message but none of the oils smelled like margarita and some of them caused a breakout on my arm the next day. Their message specialist do a very hard pressure at the base of the skull bone in the back of the head which hurts, it does not feel great, this is done a few times throughout the couples message. Not sure if they are unable to pay their message therapists enough because afterwards they make you feel obligated to leave a tip. I don’t know maybe Covid has affected this business in a negative way but they seemed struggling with everything, from bad holiday candy to awkward interactions with their clients. This place does not give a welcoming vibe, there are plenty spa places in Knoxville to choose from, I would choose somewhere else.

Britney was fantastic. I did the 90 min headache massage. The hot and cold stone treatment with the shoulder head and neck focus was fantastic. Id been staving off a migraine for a couple of days with Excedrin and this massage was exactly what I needed to get the tension out and be able to relax. She was attentive to what pressure level I preferred and worked her magic. I left feeling so relaxed and best of all, with no headache. Will definitely be back.

All the staff there are SO professional, thorough in explaining the different products and services, always make me feel very comfortable and relaxed even when I’m stressed out of my mind from work. I’ve received the ‘relaxing massage’ and the ‘peace of mind’ massage. I’ve had Allyson since day one so I’ve stuck with her since we have built a level of understanding, friendship, trust and she is excellent at what she does as I’m sure all the other women are as well. Every appointment, I leave feeling renewed in not only body, but also mind and ready to continue taking on the world with my muscles no longer tense. I’ve had many facials over the years and a few massages, but nowhere has compared to The Retreat. I have very sensitive skin, and almost every facial I’ve ever had anywhere else has made my experience highly uncomfortable, somewhat painful, leaving my skin red and more irritated than when I came in. The facials I’ve had at The Retreat have been soothing and improved my skin exponentially (I’ve struggled with acne for almost 10 years now). I get so many compliments on how good my skin looks and people think I’m wearing makeup when I’m bare-faced, asking me what my skin regimen is. I’ve incorporated the products Allyson recommended for me into my daily skincare routine and my skin has never looked and felt better.

It was meditation with pressure.Got a deep tissue because it was needed. Not for everyone. Feel great in every way shape or form.

I went there for the first time to get a 90 min herbal healing therapy (shout out to my hubby who set all of this up for me). It was the most relaxing experience ever! I am the type of person that doesn’t like to sleep during massages because I want to enjoy the experience, but this time, I was so relaxed that I drifted off. My husband and I got a 60 minute couples massage for Valentines day and it was wonderful! The massage tables are very nice and the building has a very calming atmosphere. Leslie and Laura did an excellent job and I would love to see them again. My job leaves my shoulders and lower back in knots and Leslie made me feel like a whole new person. Wow!! Just visited the retreat for the 1st time yesterday with my boyfriend for a couples massage. We had recently visited Longevity, just a warning, it is hard not to compare the two...so I am going to anyway. The Retreat was a small, personal location. Laura and Brittany showed us into our room where we changed together and laid in the massage beds. Longevity had a very large location with a lot of customers. They separated us immediately into male and female waiting areas. My waiting room was lined with chairs with women in robes waiting for their appointment. I sat and waited and waited for my appointment and was not able to be with my boyfriend where we can enjoy the experience together which was the whole point. Longevity finally took us into a room where we had requested a relaxing massage. Although it was nice, we had both agreed that we probably should have done deep tissue since it was a light massage. My boyfriend commented that I give better massages. We chose deep tissue this time and boy did the ladies really get in there. They did cupping on areas that needed some extra attention for knots and stress. The music selection was perfect. The temperature in the room and the beds was perfect. When we finished our 60 min massage we immediately wished it had been 90 min. It felt amazing. My neck knots and shoulders werent stiff. My boyfriend was amazed his lower back was feeling great. Longevity had shower rooms to shower off the massage oil which was pretty cool. But at The Retreat their products didnt leave us with an oily film that needed to be showered off. They used hot towels and left us with hot towels just in case we needed a little extra wipes off. We dressed together and were on our way. They showed us out, invited us back and we absolutely know that is where we will return. Wow wow ladies. Thank you so much for an amazing deep tissue and personal attention that we appreciated so much. Cant wait to return.

This was hands down the BEST deep tissue massage I ever had, I cant exactly remember her name but my masseuse had red hair. She was very attentive to detail and worked all of the knots and pain out of my neck, traps, and back! The cupping technique that was applied was awesome, she was very thorough on every part of my body and I felt absolutely relieved after the massage. I added the hot stones for $10 which I definitely recommend! The beds were warm the massage oil was warm, she was very professional and it is too bad I live in Columbia otherwise I would go here once a month every month! Some therapists seem to not know about the body and where the muscles are but it is like she knew EXACTLY where the knots and kinks were and worked them out I was very impressed and would 100% recommend. We did a couples massage my husband and I and he agrees with me on the excellent service. They also took advantage and fully worked through the entire 90 minutes of the massage not cutting anything short.

This was my first visit to The Retreat (Bearden Location) as I received a gift certificate from my fiance for Christmas. I had some time open up last minute and called to see if they could get me in the next day and they got me right in no problem. I scheduled an hour massage with Kaitlin. Also I wanted to see about getting my first facial and it so happened that Katilin was also an esthetician and could do my facial immediately following my massage.I opted to add the hot stones to my massage and that was the best decision ever! If you have never tried it then it is a must! Also, the facial was wonderful. My face has never felt so amazing. She took her time to explain everything that she was doing since I had never had a facial before so I would know what to expect.My entire visit was great and I will definitely be back. The entire office staff is very friendly and knowledgeable as well. I am actually planning on buying a gift certificate for my Mother for her birthday as well.

Absolutely loved Nikki at the retreat. She made me feel at home and she made me feel so comfortable. She worked lot on my face and chest area. Farm work ain’t easy and it’s a lot of sun exposure. She did derma planing, mask, steam, extractions, put hydration and glow back into my face and massage and got off all the top layer of dead skin cells and dirt. I highly recommend her and this place. In my opinion the small places have the best customer service and they are very nice people and also good friends. Thank you again for taking care of my problem areas!

Skilled therapists and an escape from reality! What an amazing experience! My husband and I have had spa services from coast to coast. The services we had at The Retreat by far surpassed anything weve had including the spa at the Mandarin Oriential. The relaxing experience begins as soon as you enter the front door. Everything from the music to the decor to the lighting set the stage for an intensely relaxing experience. If you have the chance to add the Sol foot treatment, do it! My only regret is that we didnt schedule for facials but theres always next time!

Was really excited to visit after all the reviews but came away a bit disappointed from the experience. My massagist seemed a bit newer and lacking some experience, though she was very kind, communicative, and listened to my concerns. There was some confusion about my timing, which they handled very professionally after they realized they had cut my time short by 15 mins, but I still left feeling I overpaid for an experience not quite relaxing as I was hoping for.

Allyson is amazing at the Retreat! I hold A LOT of stress in the shoulders and neck, after going to several different places I never really got the relief I needed....Until Allyson.
