Talk about local mission field!! Love all that Reach Ministry is doing in our community and for those in desperate need of food, a personable conversation and the opportunity to hear about Jesus. This group of volunteers come out every single Saturday and Wednesday - even during that HUGE snow storm, they were out there shoveling out tents for this community. I have seen kiddos there serving as young as about 8 too! They all meet up at 112 Occidental, pray and then walk up to Pioneer Square park where they have different areas you could volunteer at (totally up to you and where you are comfortable with).1) they have the tables where you pass out the food.2) they have a prayer team where you can ask start a conversation with someone in this camp, and ask if they would like prayer for anything. (if you are regular, you will start remembering their names - its so cool).3) if you know how to sing or play guitar - they are always looking for people to play worship music there.4) street team - group of two teams that hit the streets (some unhoused dont like leaving their tents for fear of having things go missing when theyre gone). These teams bring the sack lunches to them, along with hygiene products and ask if they would like prayer for anything.Reach Ministry is in the process of creating the first EVER church in Pioneer Square that will be for the unhoused community. More to come!Volunteering here has changed my life - I have grown while serving others and have seen so many testimonies of deliverance and restoration!! Come out and serve or volunteer!! They would love to have you and your friends and family!!Whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. Matthew 25:40

Reach has done amazing acts to our Western Washington Community. Rich Simms and his team have been serving the less fortunate for years and as a Washingtonian I couldnt be more thankful and proud of his outreach efforts. Please help them with any donations you can so they can continue helping the less fortunate in Washington. Not many are going the extra mile like Reach Ministry is. They provide hot beverages, hot meals, to go meals, prayers for all, and more than anything he is providing HOPE to those who have none. Please help with anything you can. Even a dollar goes along way.Prayers up to him, his family and his team. You all are doing Gods work without being asked.Thank you for helping our community.Beau

If you are looking to volunteer and serve the homeless in the Seattle area, this is an amazing organization and group of volunteers to do it with. The group is really welcoming and have made real connections with the homeless who we serve. Going to the Saturday volunteering sessions at Pioneer Square have completely changed my perspective on the homeless in Seattle and it feels incredible to give to those in need and help them in any way I can. I can converse with them and learn more about their life and truly treat them as an equal. The group is religious (Christian) but they welcome all backgrounds and religions to volunteer! If you are Christian, you are able to pray with the homeless and share the word with them.

Reach has been around for just over 2 years. I was blessed to go out and serve with the man Rich, who is the founder of Reach, and his 2 children when they first started... He received a Word from God to go out and feed the poor and has been very passionate and at it every since... Every Saturday rain/ snow or shine he is up bright and early with his children ready to give not just food, water, and clothes but feeding the spirits of these broken, hurt, beautiful beings created by God, by sharing the Word of Jesus and praying for all who want to receive the blessings... Now Reach has grown with so many wonderful volunteers... Rich was Blessed with a beautiful wife who is very supportive and has helped him expand his outreach....Unfortunately I do not live in their area but Reach is expanding to other cities.... If you are looking for a place to serve which is very Spirit filled you will not just meet amazing people who love Jesus Christ, YOU will also grow in your own walk with the Lord... Please contact Rich... This experience will change your life and the people around you... Always be the light in darkness where ever the path may take you...
