I’m not a fan of dental work but I love to come see Dr Butani! She and her staff always take the best care of me. My teeth are well cared for and they are very kind to suggest things I can do to take better care of my teeth without making me feel ashamed that I am not doing enough. They have a warmer on their water which is amazing. My hygienist is the best! She is very friendly and always remembers info about me and my family even though I only see her every 6 months. I most of all love that I can support strong women doing amazing work. They are doing all sorts of things very right at this business! If you need a dentist, you should consider Dr Butani.

I can’t say enough nice things about Dr. Butani and everyone that works at Totem Lake Family Dentistry from the front office staff, to the dental assistants and hygienists. I avoided going to the dentist for years due to fear and anxiety leaving many issues with my teeth untreated. After recommendations and research I decided that Dr. Butani was just the dentist for me. She has been kind, compassionate, and patient. She always treated me with dignity and respect and never let me feeling vulnerable. She took the time to explain everything that needed to be done and ensure my comfort; even offered me a weighted blanket and an iPad with headphones so I could watch Netflix and relax a bit. To put it simply, Dr. Butani made me not afraid of the dentist anymore. Totem Lake created an affordable yet extensive treatment plan for me and years of shame, Dr. Butani gave me back my smile. My teeth look beautiful!!

From the minute you walk in the place has a very calming environment. I was there for two hours and because of how friendly the hygienist was time went by fast. Dr Mona Butani is amazing!! I loved how detail oriented she was, there are few few issues that needed to be taken care of with my teeth but she put first things first and set out a plan to tackle each problems one at a time. I was so nervous to have two fillings and two crowns done. I had even cancelled once before. But the kindness and focus of the staff on my well-being put me at ease immediately. I had a gone in for a regular teeth cleaning and as a new patient Dr Butani asked about my recent crown from another office. I said I was a little sensitive but nothing serious. She wanted to check my bite in case I needed an adjustment. She was very thorough and her instructions to get me to bite down on the tape in various motions helped her see that I needed an adjustment. She did the adjustment and made the sensitivity much better. I felt very well taken care of and wasnt expecting the bite adjustment on a routine teeth cleaning.

Dr. Butani was very knowledgable, insightful and helpful in better understanding my dental health. Cara, the dental hygienist I was seen by, was also very welcoming and great at making my dentist appointment an enjoyable experience. Very thankful for the opportunity and happy I have a preferred dentist now. A+

Totem Lake Family Dentistry was able to see me immediately and then referred me to an Endodontic Clinic they trusted. My root canal was completed the next day and I am recovering perfectly!! They fixed my smile!!! I hated the gaps in my teeth since I was a child. I had braces two times and then invisalign as an adult, nothing fixed it. Totem lake dentistry suggested composite veneers and I LOVE THEM. I have the beautiful smile I have always wanted and I am so happy. It was totally affordable and a quick process and I love the results. If your teeth are small or gapped or chipped check out veneers. Also the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is warm and comfortable. They have safe covid procedures and I felt so taken care of going here. Six stars.

My husband went here for the first time the other day and he came home telling me everything they’ve done!!! Dr. Butani and Kara were so detailed in their work, they took their time explaining everything to him. He sad you could tell that they really enjoy what they do. Highly recommend them!

Dr. Butani is both conscientious and talented. My experiences with both her and her staff have always been stellar, could not ask for better service or care. If you’re looking for a dentist local to the Eastside, look no further! I couldn’t recommend Dr. Butani or her dental work enough.

I have had 2 visits to Dr. McGrath, once for a full checkup and cleaning and once having a cavity filled. Both times, I had excellent service from both him and his entire staff. The receptionist even greeted me by name when I checked in. The hygienist was friendly and made me feel very comfortable during the whole procedure. She was also non-judgemental about my long absence from the dental chair and not flossing as much as recommended. Both Dr. McGrath and his staff explain what they are doing and why, which was very helpful to me in getting over my general anxiety about the dentist. On the way out, dealing with the billing and insurance was how it should be: effortless. I scheduled my next appointment and left feeling satisfied and much more in control of my dental health.

I first visited Totem Lake Dentistry and Dr. McGrath when I was passing through the area for work and thought I was in an emergency. Dr. McGrath was very accommodating to my schedule and made the procedure and process extremely easy going. After visiting Dr. McGrath I realized my previous dentist wasnt honest and have since switched to Totem Lake. I still dont live in the area but this entire staff makes it easy and actually enjoyable.

Totem Lake Family Dentistry was just what I needed. Unfortunately through my 20s I didnt prioritize my oral health care at the level I should have, this led me to: Cavities, plaque build up and the anxiety of excessive medical bills to get back into good health. I called Dr. McGrath and explained my situation and the embarrassment I felt in reference to my teeth, he was very comforting assuring me that neither him nor his staff would judge me for the current state my oral heath was in. The first time I met with Dr. McGrath we did x-rays, an extensive cleaning and made a game plan to get my teeth back to where I wanted them to be. We prioritized my future visits based on urgency of needs and after a couple of visits I am back to full health and smiling with confidence!. Dr. McGraths office worked directly with my primary insurance to maximize the coverage I am allotted on a yearly basis and minimize my out of pocket expense. I am very thankful for Dr. McGrath and his staff.

Stay away!!!!! Unethical business practices. I was a patient with Totem Lake Family Dentistry for many years under Doctor Kevin Ritola and Doctor Wong. They were both excellent dentists and was very happy with the service. Previous to the change in ownership, I had scheduled a routine dental cleaning covered 100 % by dental insurance. I never received a letter or notice that the dental practice had been sold and it was still called Totem Lake Family Dentistry. They sat me down in a chair and performed the cleaning. A few weeks later I received a bill for the cleaning. I thought this was odd because I had never been charged for a cleaning before. Insurance always covered it 100% because its considered preventative. I got a call from Carol the office manager. I asked Carol why the cleaning wasnt covered by my dental insurance. She lied to me and told me my benefits had been used up. I called my insurance advocate to investigate. The advocate told me that the reason the insurance didnt cover the full costs of the cleaning was because the new young Dentist, Dr McGrath had not been approved under my insurance , United Health Care. I called to share my experience with Dr. McGrath and he said he would look in to it and said he didnt disagree that I should have been informed in advance of the cleaning that it would not be covered by insurance. A few days later I got a nasty message from the business manager that if I didnt pay my bill of of $144.00 that they would send me to collections. She also threatened to inflate the bill to a higher amount if I didt pay the $144.00. Stay away from this unethical business. Very disappointed that this new young dentist didnt man up and do what was right!!. I loved my previous Dentists and office manager Debbie at Totem Lake Family Dentistry and am sorry I have to find a new dentist.
