I have always loved First Eye Care, but they just seem to continue getting better! From the moment you enter the building to leaving everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. They have always been accommodating in letting me schedule our whole family in one trip as well and making sure we get the best possible deal with our insurance. Love the new location as well- more convenient and beautifully done!

Extremely friendly and efficient. Our appointment was at 3 but we showed up early to do paperwork. They definitely didn’t keep us waiting. After a full, very kid friendly and thorough exam we were out the door by 3:05. The facility is so much better than you would expect. It’s new, clean, very well organized and stylish. 100% satisfied with our visit here today.

The eye exam I received here was, without a doubt, the most thorough, professional exam I’ve ever experienced. Doctor Reyes clearly has a passion for what he does. He took his time with my exam, taking care to explain everything he was doing and why. I felt like I was in extremely good hands, and will absolutely be returning here for all my future eye care needs.

We got to the office and after filling out all the papers we were immediately called. The technician (Virginia) was very friendly and professional. She made sure of adding my daughter’s diagnosis in her record so she could receive the adequate care. The doctor was great and explained things to my daughter with age appropriate terms/instructions. Taking in consideration my daughter’s diabetic history, he carefully examined my daughter’s eyes. I am really grateful and will definitely visit again.

This was the first time I used this eye care professional. I have an infection in my upper eyelid and needed help. I called them as soon as they opened and they got me in same day before lunch. The office staff was friendly and professional. There are 4 forms to fill out for first time customers. The eye doctor seemed very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He answered all my questions and did a complete inspection of my eye. He wrote me a prescription and I was done. The price was reasonable and the facility was clean. I can highly recommend First Eye Care of Killeen and will use them again in the future.

I had a very pleasant experience at this office. I decided to go here after my husband received excellent care after an eye accident. I went in for my annual exam. The office is very clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The doctor was friendly and much more thorough than other eye doctors I’ve seen. He explained everything he was doing and even did tests that hadn’t been done to my eyes before. Although he worked very quickly (benefits of being young) he gave me all of the time I needed and answered all of my questions. I will most definitely be returning for my next eye exam.

This was our first visit to “First eye Care” and I was surprised at how beautiful this place was and super clean. The staff were very nice and helpful. The Dr apologized for being a little behind but it was barely 5 mins. My ten year old was diagnosed this day with astigmatism and he was very thorough explaining things to us as no-one else in our family had worn glasses before. The assistant was very kind and helpful while showing us some glasses we could purchase which I agreed to so our little one could get them sooner than later. Im glad we have a team we can trust with our little one’ eye care from now on! Everyone should visit here for their’ vision problems.

We had five appointments here in the last week. They all went well. Two was with my 3 year old twin granddaughters. I thought it would be very difficult. It was not my girls left very happy. My teenage daughter also saw the doctor. She was happy. Then finally my husband and I saw the Dr. First Eye Care is good for the entire family.

Went to get an eye exam and was a little nervous. I hadn’t had an eye exam in over 4 years. All of the staff was very nice and explained everything in detail. It was a quick visit but didn’t feel rushed. They operate very smoothly. Once the eye exam was done I was nervous about picking out glasses. Normally my husband goes with me to pick out glasses but he was at work. The girl there that helped me figured out my insurance benefits in detail and also helped me find glasses that looked good with my face shape. I normally don’t ask for help, which I think she could tell. So she stepped in and gave me a variety of choices and was truthful about pros and cons of the glasses. I was very impressed. Ive been going to First Eye Care for over 20 years and I cant imagine going anywhere else for my eye needs. I miss Dr Lucas but I love love Dr. Kocian who took over my care. The staff is always courteous and professional as well.

Michael Reyes is the best he will explain everything in detail and answer any questions in a way you can understand. This is my first time seeing a really complete eye exam, they go far and beyond.Now in the case of the technician for the glasses, my insurance didnt cover the glasses, so he just dismissed me with a paper after I asked him if he can take my daughters bridge distance, saying they will do it at the optics mention in the paper, disappointed, almost a perfect visit.

Honestly all of the staff other than the doctor was rude. I took my two-year-old in and he was great with her. The lady at the front was extremely rude and it was not just with me I saw her get snippy with two other customers. The lady who did the evaluation when we first went to the room was also very rude to me as well. As far as the doctor I think that he is a wonderful person and doctor but they need new staff.

Hands DOWN the BEST Eye Care place in Killeen. Within the last three weeks Ive visited twice, once for my 4 year old daughters appt who has down syndrome and the other for my appt. The first time, I had a few billing questions regarding the copay and a refraction charge. The issue was quickly and professionally resolved by Veronica and Frank! Both physicians that we saw were great. They were personable, took the time to explain everything and didnt make me feel rushed. The lady ( I will get her name next time☺️) at the front desk greeted us so warmly and welcoming when we walked in and even took the time to play with my daughter while we wait. Rachael, the optician OMG! Shes so kind, thoughtful and patient. She interacted with my daughter in a way that really warmed my heart and even responded to her with sign language.❤️ She is really the reason Im writing this review. Customer services goes a long way and for Rachael to contact me shortly after I left their office to follow up with me regarding a question I had, speaks volumes! The office environment is very clean, sanitized well and all preventative methods are in place to prevent the spread of germs, COVID etc. First Eye Care staff, you exemplify true leadership, care and are indeed phenomenal at what you do and my family will forever be patients for as long as youre here in the Central Texas area! Godspeed!

From reading some of the reviews and being told they were booked out so many weeks when scheduling my appointment, I actually thought I would walk into this place and there would be plenty of people waiting, but when my appointment date came I was amazed to go in and find it quiet, clean, and so professional. From the front desk receptionists to the Doctors to the eyewear buying process, they were all professional, friendly, and nice to work with. I almost canceled my appointment with this place because it was almost a months wait to get in, but Im glad I waited. My frames were a bit expensive, but thats because I got luxury frames by Luxottica (the dominant eyewear giant)! I was surprised I got one pair of my glasses back in 3 days! First Eye Care has become my new Optometrist!🤓

The service from the assistants were exquisite. They were patient and kind. They answered all of my questions. I didn’t care for the doctor that took care of the actual exam. He was very passive and was trying to convince me that I didn’t need any glasses. I was previously prescribed a pair a few years back and I lost them. That was the main reason I came there was because I have slight issues seeing at night while I’m driving. Other than that, I loved the overall visit.

I had a routine appointment today, but had to call last minute to see if my son could also be seen due to a foreign body in his eye we couldn’t get out. First Eye Care was able to work him in, and Dr. Reyes was able to remove the tiny object that had embedded into his eyelid. My son commented on how scary it was, but Dr. Reyes soothing voice and calm demeanor put him at ease. My appointment was great, but as a mom, making my 17 year old son feel better was the icing on the cake!

Excellent service!!! When I arrived had to fill out paperwork and as soon as I finished they took me back for the eye exam. No waiting around.. All of the technicians were friendly and proficient. They took scans and pictures of my eyes then took me into a exam room. As soon as I sat in the chair the Doctor came in. He was very friendly and answered all my questions.. I have been through many eye exams in my life and I can tell you that this one was the most extensive and complete eye exam I have ever received. The doctor explained everything step by step. This eye doctor was by far the best I have ever seen!! I know when I get my new glasses and contacts that it will correct my vision perfectly.. From the time I walked into the doctors office I seen every employee working on and insuring that they followed the CDC COVID-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of everyone in the building! I actually seen employees wiping down counters, writing pens, clipboards and eyeglasses that people have touched or tried on.. The whole Staff was excellent.. My 13 year old daughter is autistic with extremely high anxiety. While she was excited about new glasses, she tends to see an eye exam as a test that she might fail. Within 5 minutes of the start of the exam, she started to get overwhelmed. I had a feeling the exam might not go any further but Dr. Reyes immediately recognized the situation and changed the exam. The rest flew by without a hitch and no tears at all. My daughter and I are both so thankful for dr reyes quick thinking and willingness.
