This is six braids of hair. (Too much hair) I had to take my hair down because it was too heavy. I didn’t really noticed until I came home. I was so ready to leave because it was extremely loud from the yelling at kids and the TV. I tried to deal with it but my head was not having it. Never again…

Had an appointment this morning at 07:30 and arrived 15 minutes prior. Door locked. No ones there. I verified my appointment with Joy and she assured me that she mentally connected with the information I’d given to her for my appointment this morning at 07:30, that I arranged my schedule for , just to show up disappointed.. The female with the white suv was very stale with her personality, that couldn’t be cut with a knife, even though she did give me Joys personal number and I did call but no answer and I left a text message, no response. Now, unless she had an Emergency, Shame on both of them for wasting my time. Maybe that was a sign.. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Service was good, but don’t let them have different people do your head. I got knotless and had three people that touched my head, in the front of my head it’s a whole section different from my head and I went to get it fixed and they act as if they was too booked and didn’t want to fix it. I was told to write my name down to get a call back but no call back and my hair not fixed. Very frustrating, because this the front of my head.

I had an appointment thisorning at 7am and no one showed up. My daughter and I waited for half and even called and no one returned our call. Never again.

Awesome group of ladies, they made me feel like family.

I called to make an appointment and I was scheduled for the next day. Upon arrival I noticed there were 6 customers and 4 braiders...long story short they had me waiting an hour and a half with only two unfinished braids to show for my time! I asked them to take the two braids down and I left! They were not rude and they tried to talk me into staying however I declined. The styles I seen on the other customers were neat quality work so I’m not speaking against their ability to do good braiding styles. My advice is to call ahead of time and ensure they have available braiders because they will overbook themselves. I gave them one star because of the ridiculously long waiting time I endured and I was not serviced.

I really love how my hair turned out! I did a walk in & asked for Senegalese & they were done perfect. I didn’t give 5 star rating because I went to peacefully get my hair done. Meanwhile I left my kids at home & felt as if I brought them with me because all of the workers kids were running around or crying about things the entire time. I did not like that at all. Other than that they were so nice & they did my hair pretty fast.

I’m always hesitant about getting my hair done for the first time in a new place but from the moment I called and made my appointment I felt a good vibe! The ladies where friendly and my hair looks great. My braids are very neat! Definitely will be returning

I called before I went, one of the ladies said come. I get there, they said come back tomorrow and she scheduled me an appointment. I went back the next day at my appointment time, one lady tell me, one moment, I need to eat something, I said no problem. In come another customer, she tells her to sit down in the chair and she gets up to start on it.well another braider walks in, THEN she tells me to go to the chair. I showed the lady the picture of how i wanted my hair and she couldnt do it. Well she left my head to tend to the lady head with the first lady who was supposed to do my hair.This is very rude and unprofessional. Needless to say, I walked out and I will never go back again. I could spend my hard earned money else where.

I got medium box braids for $180. I got the braids done a few weeks ago and they still look good. The braiders were really friendly. The best part was, I got out in 4 hours!! Ive NEVER had my hair braided so quickly before. I will definitely be back.

My first time there. They were nice and professional. I got in in time for my appointment. The shop was clean and neat. Very friendly staff. The style I wanted want exactly duplicated, but it was still very nice work.

The ladies at Joy are miracle workers. I have had my hair braided at Joy a time or two and my children had their hair braided there today. I am so pleased with the braiding these ladies have done. We will be long standing customers.

We will never go back here again. My husband went for a simple style and gave free reign to the stylist. The only thing he requested was that the braids DID NOT go straight back.. nevertheless thats what he got.

I love my kinky twist and they were finished in 3 hours. The staff was very nice and courteous and was able to suggest a better hairstyle that wouldnt damage my hair then what I asked for. I definitely will be a loyal customer

The staff wasnt very friendly. I received 5 jumbo braids for 80 dollars and the didnt last 3 days. Never again will give them my time or money.

I tend to be picky and finally found a shop that would listen. The lady was very friendly . While working on my hair she would take the time to stop and ask me if its what I wanted and would have me look in the mirror to make sure.(I wanted my hair and colors done a specific way) . The braids were consistent, very beautiful and clean. Im definitely a permanent customer!

NEVER AGAIN!!!! Hair has been done 2 weeks and 5 days and I am already taking them down due to looseness and unraveling. Already had to go in not even a week to get some of my twists fixed. In 2 visits I paid $160 for not even a whole head of twists due to my sides and back being shaved. My loss but NEVER THE HELL AGAIN because I work too damn hard to waste my money.

Got EXACTLY what I️ asked for!! I️ got my hair crocheted with a different braid pattern than what they’re used to and was pleased that my hair came out perfectly. I️ would definitely recommend this place and will be going back!!

The ladies were nice and welcoming. When I asked for cornrows straight back the one that did my hair asked if I meant to go under a wig. I actually am planning to do crochet locs myself but unfortunately I dnt know how to cornrow. Anyway I expected 6 to 8 braids but she actually did 12. The braid s were small and neat so if I did want to do a wig, it wouldnt be bulky and she charged less than I thought.And they were open at 8am. Which was lucky for me because I had just come from discount african braiding at 501 west stan schlueter and was disappointed when they said theyll be open at 8am and at 830they still werent open even though the sign was blinking open. I love them Joy sister is Boyle my sister and my only stylist I love my hair. They was fast professional, friendly l, loving and caring. I felt like family I can go on and on I recommend them to everyone I really enjoyed them and I really love my hair taking my daughter next week and it was extremely clean.

My experience with Joys braiding salon was awesome, my micro braids are beautiful and my edges were carefully attended to with egde control. The ladies at this shop were professional, humble, neat, and quick...one in particular mama her touch kept putting me to sleep...lol..i will visit again! Thanks ladies!

Went in to get jumbo box braids, left with microsShowed a picture of what i wanted and thought everything would be good.Thought they would show me my braids but they never did. 5 braids in i felt bad and just let the continue.Braids looked decent, but they pulled my edges out. I got red bumps in my hairline the next day. Had to remove the braids, waste of money.

Love the work the young ladies put on for the community and the unique products servicing those with thicker roots and sensitive scalps to chemicals. Very revolutionary.

They are absolutely kind and amazing. My hair looks exactly like the picture I showed them and they make sure that the braids arent too tight consistently.

Love going to this shop. Everyone is so friendly and they do excellent work.

I just moved from Alabama I called first they were very friendly once I got there very nice environment nice and clean I will be coming here everytime and they do a great job hands down....

Beware of this place if you have dreads/locs or need a retwist. They are going to mess up your hair, and they are very rough when it comes to handling your hair. I asked her several times to make the twist looser but continued to make it tighter. On top of that the lady doesn’t even attempt to wash your hair. It was the worst place ever.

My experience was different made a appointment and it was my first time, I showed her a picture of what I wanted and still the results was disappointing I wasted money and time there. Will not be returning. The one star I gave should be zero.

Beyond unprofessional!!! I called Thursday and made a appointment and the first time the lady did not pick up... She returned my called about 30 minutes later and I set up a appointment for Saturday @ 8:00.. Saturday came and I still didnt not receive a comfromation call about my appointment so I called the lady... She didnt answer again.. I just think its really rude to own a business and not have the decency to call and confirm w a PAYING customer a day before the appointment is ment to take place! For the simple fact its the day of my appointment and 9/10 I wont be getting my hair done bc the lady does not answer her phone..also she was really rude when I asked her the price over the phone which is also unexceptable! Bad customer service = bad business someone shut them down 👌🏾
