Im a health care professional and scientist for a living. So I do my research on doctors before I choose to see them for the first time. Dr Taubers credentials are first rate. Hes coauthored research and is an expert on the eye condition I was concerned about. I found Dr Tauber and his staff to be every bit of what I expected. After initial testing and taking a proper history, he took the time to really engage and explain what was going on, he conducted further testing, and developed a solid treatment plan. Im very satisfied with his expertise and personal approach to care. His staff if excellent, and friendly as well. I appreciate the time taken by the staff to educate me on the issues and provide effective training for self care.

Here is the short version of my story: I waited 40 minutes before I got to see Dr Tauber, he was rude and seemed very rushed, he kept bouncing back and forth between me and another patient (I could hear everything happening in the other patients room). He didnt wash his hands when he returned into the room and touched my eyelid. He acted like I was lying about having seasonal allergies and have a diagnosis from an ENT. Hes very condesending and rude. Take my advise and go elsewhere if you suffer from dry eye because he didnt do anything for me except charge my insurance $500.

Took my husband here the day after going to the ER for a corneal abrasion to get a second opinion and hopefully better medicine for his discomfort. All staff here were absolutely amazing in addition to being comforting and humorous. They took his situations seriously with the upmost caution and direction toward preventative healing. I was so glad we ended up coming here when he was still having so much discomfort after the ER visit.

6 months post cornea transplant by Dr. Tauber after a failed cataract surgery performed by a different opthamologist in KC and I couldnt be happier and the results keep improving. Dr. Tauber, Dr. Remington, and team are the best. Thank you so much!

I had a horrible experance here. I went in to get a eye exam and get new contacts. I have insurance they didnt use, there was no eye exam. I was told to contact my old doctor to get my perscription. Then nothing I was never called back and got a bill for 239.00 dollars. The funny thing is they didnt run or use my insurance, also the bill was for someone that is not me and I dont know who it is. Would not go back or refer anyone.

Total joke had eye exam done and was then told I need to contact my old eye doc to get my prescription. I had a full exam done so why do I need the other doctors persription? When I called to ask if my contacts were in was told they were never ordered because I didnt call my old eye doctor to get the prescription he wrote me 2 yrs ago. I would recommend staying away from this place, unless you want to pay them to have you do their job and then still not get your eye wear.

Wow wow wow!! I was very impressed at the care at this facility. My sister sees Dr. Tauber for dry eye and I have been looking for a new dermatologist since I can no longer go to my specialist at Childrens Mercy. I tried Discover Vision multiple times and really wasnt impressed. Since I have gotten older I realized how scary it can be if you dont know if you have a problem or not! In Discover Vision they didnt listen to my concerns and ignored my problems. I liked my old opthamologist because I knew she cared enough to see if there was any problems (which makes you feel good because sight is important!) I couldnt make an appointment with Dr. Tauber, but was able to get one with Dr. Remmington. WOW! Best eye doctor EVER! I thought my last eye doctor was thorough... Goodness! I was there for about TWO HOURS and not because they were slow!!! They wanted to make sure they knew everything they could to help me and they answered every question I asked. Dr. Remmington is the kind of doctor everyone wants, she is kind, empathetic, a good listener, great explainer and KNOWLEDGABLE! She doesnt papoo anything you say, GREAT eye doctor!!Thanks again!

Ive suffered from dry eye for many years. I went to several doctors over the years with limited success. But finally my eyes were suffering so much that they were tearing up constantly. Another doctor suggested I needed surgery to open my drainage ducts. I didnt buy it. After lots of internet research and trolling dry eye bulletin boards, I suspected I suffered from meibomian gland dysfunction. I found Dr Tauber because his web site actually had information about dry eyes. He confirmed that I indeed have meibomian gland dysfunction and after several treatments of him popping open the meibomian glands along my eyelids, I finally stopped the constant crying. My eyelids look normal again rather than super thick and irritated. Ill be dealing with this issue for life, but with regular treatment at home and from Dr Tauber, my eyes feel good again.
