I despise the dentist as Im sure the majority of people do, however after finding this office, I am a bit more at ease. No more xanex needed to go to see the dentist. The office staff are great and I get in and out fairly quickly compared to other dentists Ive seen in the past. I highly recommend Dr. Guerschon de Laurent and his staff.

I went here once a few years ago and was not thrilled with my experience. It had been a few years since I had been able to see a dentist due to lack of dental insurance and the tech cleaning my teeth was so rude to me about it. I was essentially lectured on how I needed to get my teeth cleaned more often. I was also told that I needed a few crowns and onlays (not sure how that is spelled). I could not afford that at the time and was heading back to college so I didnt have any of the procedures done. I then saw a different dentist and was told there were just a few cavities. Nothing beyond a simple filling. I also have crooked teeth, nothing super crazy, just a few gaps and I felt like they were pressuring me into getting invisilign braces. If you have any insecurities regarding your teeth, dont go here. Maybe theyve changed since I saw them. Probably not.

Jennifer did a cleaning on myself and my toddler today, she was outstanding! This office is so accommodating to moms and families. Jennifer, Corey and the rest of the staff, did everything to make me and my daughter feel comfortable and get our cleaning checkups done with care. Jennifer is is so good with children. The dentist is also very good and Ive been coming her for many years for dental care. I have also been helped by Sofia in the past, and she is great very knowledgeable and understanding. Highly recommended!

My mom and I have been coming here for over 10 years and now I bring my husband and two boys. Corey, Sofia, Jennifer and Dr. de Laurent are so nice and pleasant to be around. They take the time to get to know you and your family. I love getting my teeth cleaned and always enjoy my visits! We’ve had a few instances where the staff has gone above and beyond for us. My oldest son, 9, had to get a few cavities filled which of course made him anxious to come back but Sofia was amazing! She talked with him and even went out of her way to get him a donut from next door. My 3 year old now comes and they are very accommodating for him too. Today was our 6 month cleaning and my sons bday is next week. The staff got him a little treat and sang happy birthday to him. This was the icing on the cake! Thank you everyone for making us feel so valued!

Great experience before my first appointment even began. The office staff was friendly and helpful in setting up my appointment and follow up. During my appointment, the dental hygienist, Jennifer, was wonderful. I had not been to a dentist for over 10 years because of fear, and Jennifer made me feel comfortable. Dr. de Laurent has a great personality and genuinely cares. I no longer fear going to the dentist and will get myself back on track with routine checkups and cleanings with this office.

The best dentist I’ve ever been to! I’ve been a patient here for over a year. Dr does amazing work and the whole staff has been friendly every time I’ve been there. They all greet me by name and are willing to squeeze me in on short notice if needed. Dr is great at explaining treatments and is patient and gentle. He’s well worth the drive for anyone in the Kansas City area!

!!!STAY AWAY FROM THIS DENTIST!!!Went to this dentist a few years back just for regular dental cleaning and was told that I have a few cavities which needs to be fixed. There was no pain at that point and I had no idea I had any cavities. Being naive, I agreed - I should have gotten a second opinion now that I think of it. Guerschon messed up the procedure and put me on Hydrocodone painkillers. I was in extreme pain for almost a month and was on Hydrocodone but I am glad I never got addicted to these opioid/painkillers. When I went back and complained, he made up some BS excuse. I ended up going to a specialist and getting a root canal on that tooth - All because I agreed to get my so called cavities filled up at this hack of a dentist.

Went to the office for the first time last week. I was first offered a movie or TV show to watch during my teeth cleaning. Then I was offered a complementary hand waxing therapy session. It was very enjoyable to and an added benefit while getting my teeth cleaned. When getting my teeth cleaned I was offer a chair massage. The over all experience GREAT. The hygienist and the dentist were both very gentle and kind. I would highly recommend this office. especially if you have a fear of going to the dentist.

I would highly recommend Dr. De Laurent! He has a beautiful office, very knowledgeable and friendly staff, and a Dr. D is very skillful and trustworthy. They did my braces. I live two hours away and work a full time job where I cant take time off. They were VERY flexible with my visits making it easy for me to be seen and taken care of. It is always great when a office can work with you like that!

Dr. DeLaurent has been my dentist for the past four years!!! Great friendly service, even in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. My daughter and I have been going to Dr. De Laurent’s dental office for years. I confess that I initially chose this dental office because of convenience as it is under a mile from my home. However, I have never felt more welcomed by a group of dental office staff and professionals as I have at Dr. De Laurent’s office. I seldom, if ever, write reviews so consider the level of satisfaction I have to do so. 😀

It was a real surprise when I went to the dentist and was offered a hand wax. Very relaxing. I also appreciate that they tell you what is reasonable to expect insurance to pay and your part before anything is done. It allows you to plan a budget and not rack up debt. They are very friendly. Dr de Laurent respects the experience of his staff.

This is the best dentist I have ever been to. As a new KC resident I wasnt sure where to go for my dentist needs, and chose Dr. Guerschon De Laurent due to a convenient location. Now after visiting, I would drive and hour to continue coming to this practice as it was an amazing all around experience. You are greeted and immediately offered complimentary water and are able to wait in a quiet and relaxing environment. Once greeted by the hygienist, I was given a complimentary paraffin hand wax, and was offered to chose a movie for my visit. They were very thorough with my visit and made me feel very comfortable with the option for a massaging dental chair. I will definitely be returning to their office and I am actually looking forward to my next check up.

The location is also great, close to both I-35 and 435.I chose to do Invisalign through them and have had a great experience so far. I went to this dentist a few years back, the staff was always pleasant and the office was nice however I chose not to ever go back after I was told I had 5 cavities in my mouth and that they all needed to be filled. Not having the money to do so I waited about a year before I had my next exam. I chose to go with someone different to have my teeth cleaned and examined. Come to find out I never had 5 cavities n the first place...Im not sure how someone could make that kind of mistake but just be careful. I feel unnecessary dental work is offered just to make more money perhaps. Dont know why else anyone would tell me i have 5 cavities and in all actuality I have none.

I cant say enough good things about this dentist office! Everyone from the front desk staff, office manager, dental hygienists, etc. to Dr. De Laurent himself are super nice! I feel so spoiled when I go in. Its like a spa day because you get to pick a movie to watch, get a paraffin wax hand treatment (if you want it), and relax in the comfy massaging chairs. I actually look forward to going to the dentist! Ive been going here for over five years now and appreciate how friendly everyone is in the office. I seen Dr. Laurent for a deep cleaning filling a d tooth extraction he did a awesome job didnt really even notice the extraction the next day no swelling other than the gum is a little tender but him and his staff are so nice all and all a pleasant experience for someone who had to see the dentist.. Great work on the filling...

Decided to take advantage of a Groupon, and get my teeth cleaned. It was a very kept office with a good decor. The hygienists and the doctor were very nice and got me in and out in no time. The massage chair was nice. Overall had a wonderful experience, and would recommend to anyone.

Would not recommend. Of the five or six times I went here (gave several chances), I actually saw Dr. DeLaurent maybe twice? The rest of the times he gave full privileges to his assistant who never even consulted him. One time I came in with a crown that was a little loose. Without even consulting him, she yanked it out (I had paid $900 for it only a year earlier) and told me I needed to go to an orthodontic surgeon and have a bridge put in. Didnt even consider trying to save it. Another time she started working on me doing something that definitely should have required anesthesia and was very painful and when I requested it, she said she was too far into the procedure, she would just have to finish. Never told me what she was going to do first. Never went back. I have never seen an assistant have so much privilege as at this place. Be careful.

I generally dont like the dentist, but I LOVE this office. I dont mind getting my teeth cleaned, or any other procedures now that Ive found this team. The staff is wonderful to work with, they provide great service and amenities. I would totally recommend it.

Dr. De Laurent and his staff make the experience of a dental visit enjoyable. Especially appreciated being able to pick a movie to watch on the flatscreen above the chair during my deep cleaning. Definitely would recommend.

I used a Groupon for my first teeth cleaning at Dr. de Laurents office. I hadnt been to a dentist in about 7 years and had been looking for a good dentist to try. I was nervous, but the experience was great! They offer movies to watch and massage chairs during your visit. I wasnt patronized or ridiculed when I explained how long its been since my last teeth cleaning. I went back for a filling and it was quick and painless. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful in making appointments, explaining the procedures, and discussing your financial options. I dont have dental insurance (a major factor in keeping me away from the dentist), but I learned there are payment plans and programs to help. Im so glad I tried Dr. de Laurents office to get my teeth back into great shape! I realize now that regular teeth cleanings are so important for good health. I highly recommend Dr. de Laurent for anyone who has been scared away from dental work.

Experienced, talented, and Dentist; expedient, efficient; the latest and most advanced technology, and truly delightful staff.I had major, rather complicated work done by Dr. de Laurent in 2007, and now would not trust my teeth to anyone else. I have had his work complimented on numerous occasions by other top dentists whilst I was living abroad. He is super thorough, will actually find and fix problems before they become advanced or painful— in other words, he will tell you what you NEED to hear, versus just what you want, and show the images and evidence why. (i.e. the reviewer complaining about needing a “deep cleaning”— it was probably true…)As an uninsured patient, it is not the cheapest in town like the chain operations, but competitive with other private practice dentists in town that have the highest reviews. And, Like all things in life, you get what you pay for! Teeth are important, so it is worth the investment.Lastly, amazingly painless, by using a multi-step technique that numbs it just enough to be effective, but doesn’t numb you in places you don’t need it, or for too long afterwards.The private TV with DVD selection, paraffin hand treatment, and gratuitous use of laughing gas helps too.

I have never liked going to the dentist from the time my adult teeth came in and my baby teeth didnt fall out until I started seeing Dr. Guerschon DeLaurent. I have very bad teeth from years of horrible acid reflux and other health issues which also hurt my teeth. I couldnt convince my last dentist that I was allergic to the metal fillings and Id rather just pay for crowns. So I left and did a lot of research before coming here. Everyone was awesome, they were able to work around my crazy work schedule and help me with payments to get major cosmetic work done Id been in drastic need of for my entire adult life. They also dont send out a ton of mailers or beg you for business like a lot of the local dentists. They send you reminders for cleanings and make sure you get all the work done you need scheduled. Very professional and everyone was really knowledgeable and wanted to make sure I was comfortable.

Very Poor service!! I went to get a cleaning and was in the chair 10 minutes & charged $200. I missed my 6ms cleaning & went here because if convenience...bad decision. I felt really taken advantage of but decided to just not go back. I went to get a cleaning at another dental office and they could not even tell I had my teeth cleaned a week prior. Im in the process of emailing pics to my dental provider and contact the board. I found out I was being worked on by a dental assistant not a registered dental hygienist to add icing on the cake.

I found this place on groupon and decide to check it out. Very very impressed. The place is very updated and clean. Staff is very knowledgeable and professional. Deffinetly a keeper.

I would not recommend. I work at Cerner so I chose this place based off location. Went for a routine cleaning and he said i needed a deep cleaning. Once it was done, I went to the front desk and they gave me a speal on how this is what my insurance max allows them to charge me and etc. Long story short, I had to pay $200. Ive never had to pay before for a dentist cleaning since my insurance usually covers it. Ive been to a different dentist down the road 3 times now and have not had to pay out of pocket. I felt like this place nickel and dimed me.

I love the experience here. They let you choose a DVD and watch a movie while you are receiving dental work... Thought this was cool. More importantly though, I thought that the quality of service was excellent. Dr. Guerschon de Laurent and staff use high-tech technology and offer excellent results. I got five fillings done here. The staff is very friendly. I fully recommend making an appointment. You can buy a groupon for a cleaning to try it for the first time! Even though north kansas city was a little far more me, it was worth it for the superior experience.
