After issues getting scheduled I took the entire day off to go, arrived to find a note on the door that they were closed and that they called as many people as they could. I have no missed call or email - yet they had time to post on their social media about teeth whitening.

I recently moved to Kansas City for work and was in search for a dentist. The search ended here! I have been going to the same dentist for 23 years and picking a new one was definitely a little bit of a process for me. Dr. Goodman does a great job and his staff is always helpful! They even work around my work schedule at times and schedule me past 5 which is wonderful! If you are new to the area or looking for a better dentist the buck stops here!

My first time experience here was incredible. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Dr. Goodman is so kind and sociable. His chairside manner is excellent. He was honest with me about my case and gave me a referral to an orthodontist in the area. I would definitely come back and refer friends/family to him.UPDATE: So I went back on 4/11/16 to have what I thought was just one filling replaced. After obtaining a film it turned out I needed some work done on another tooth as well. Although one tooth had a bracket on it (I have braces), Dr. Goodman went ahead and fixed them both. He was even courteous enough to ask if I had the time to have both done instead of assuming. I cant tell you how nice it is not feeling that sensitivity on the right side of my mouth! I appreciate him and his staff. The customer service is indeed top notch!

I have been going to this office for approx 2 years now and absolutely love it. I had been going to the same dentist for roughly 20 years and decided maybe it was time to leave the pediatric office I was still using (I’m almost 30)! So I was nervous. But from the receptionists to the hygienists to Dr Goodman everyone has been so kind and friendly. They are also very flexible and easy to get ahold of. A few years ago I had to switch my dentist due to relocation. I had a decent amount of nervousness, as I had had the same dentist my entire life to that point. My first visit with Dr Goodman and his staff was everything I had hoped for - very friendly, energetic staff, lots of smiles, and I got the feeling that I wasnt just a patient...but a person and they wanted to get to know me and make me feel comfortable and to help me make the best decisions for my oral health. Add to that the email communications and text appointment reminders indicate theyre connected with their patients & are interested in connecting more than just twice a year. I truly couldnt ask for anything more in a dentist!

Dr. Goodman and his staff are wonderful. They go above and beyond to help the patients. They are gentle and work with me and my crazy allergies to make sure I dont have any reactions due to medication they may use or give. My family and I have been going to his office since I can remember and he is the only dentist I will go to if i have a choice. By far the most friendly dentist office I have ever been to. They dont bug you or harp on you if you smoke or have unhealthy habits they understand everyone has vices and they just try to do the best they can at cleanings and other procedures.

John Goodman has been my dentist for years and I have seen his practice evolve and become much larger, but Dr. Goodman has remained extremely personable, warm, and concerned about each and every patient. His staff, although it has grown tremendously, has obviously been picked with great care - and as we ALL know, you are ONLY as good as your support. They are equally caring, professional, and warm. You never feel like a number even though the practice operates like a well oiled machine. And did I mention they work one Saturday a month?

Everyone was very friendly and professional. They did a great job with my cleaning. Dr. Goldman took the time to get to know me a bit before checking out my teeth. They were great with establishing trust and comfort. I felt very relaxed. They also have water and coffee for visitors.

Moved to KC a couple of years ago and found Dr. Goodman conveniently located in the professional building next to the North KC Hospital! Hes only minutes from our house, and he has the best staff! They are all so friendly and personable! They remember your name, they treat you like a real person, and they dont try to sell you on a bunch of other stuff you dont need like some other dentists Ive been to. Not to mention Dr. Goodman treats you well too! He is real and gives it to you straight. As long as I live in the KC area, Dr. Goodman will be my dentist.

Dr. Goodman and his staff are very capable and friendly. They are also very good with children...my daughter who is now 16 has been going to his office since before she started grade school. They seem to really care about their patients...they do little things to make our visits a little more pleasant. I had a filling fall out some time ago and while I was visiting friends and family in Kansas City, Dr. Goodman was able to get me in for a visit in a timely manner. He had to numb me to use the drill to clean out the rest of the filling before he refilled the tooth. Usually I have to be numbed 3 or 4 times before I cannot feel anything. He got the job done the first time.Dr. Goodman did an excellent job answering any of my questions and educating me on certain concerns/topics. Unlike past dentists I have been to, JPG never seemed like he was in a hurry or rushed. He uses his time wisely and efficiently. The staff is friendly, well-educated, and up-beat. The office is clean and organized. I felt comfortable the whole time.

Dr. Goodman has been my regular dentist for a number of years now. The staff is professional, dedicated, knowledgeable and super friendly. From my personal experience, theyve been able to get me in right away and when I show up for an appointment, they immediately take me back to my chair. I went in on St. Patricks day for a teeth cleaning and a referral to have wisdom teeth removed. Everyone seemed to be genuinely very nice. $85 consultation was a joke! The dentist performed a 2 minute cursory review of my sons teeth and explained 2 types of dentures. No cost analysis was provided and no x-rays were taken! We were told we would need to see their oral surgeon, located at another dental office, to determine the type of dental work needed before the costs could be determined! In addition, the oral surgeon would charge another fee for time and x-rays!

Dr. Goodman and his staff are the best! When I get my teeth cleaned, I keep expecting to be in pain, but Stacy cleans my teeth absolutely painlessly. In addition to doing excellent work, everyone in the office is friendly, helpful, and kind. They make it a pleasure to go to the dentist!

There arent many dental offices or doctors offices where you can walk into and the dentist automatically asks you how your family/kids are doing by name. I have been a patient of Dr. G (Goodman) since 2000 and am a million percent satisfied. My visits are always filled with laughs, courteous treatment, and the best dental treatment that you will find in Kansas City!! Dr. Goodman knows how serious I take my dental care for two separate reasons. I have Multiple Sclerosis and I strive to keep all facets of my health running as smoothly as possible and Dr. Goodman is part of a skilled medical team who ensures that my dental health is in peak performance. Dr. Goodman realizes the importance of maintaining my oral hygiene in order to keep all other aspects of my life functioning and the team at Dr. Goodmans office is like NO OTHER!! I also have a heart murmur and must pre-medicate prior to appointments and his staff will ensure that my medication is called into the pharmacy prior to my appointments so that I can come into the office prepared. I, like everyone else, get sidetracked with work and kids and on occasion have forgot to pre-medicate and Dr. Goodman will have the medication on hand for me to take and allow proper time prior to my appointment for the medication to become effective. Dr. Goodman and his team are simply AWESOME!!! They are thorough, professional, respectful, mindful of your issues, courteous, hilarious, good people, and will bend over backwards to make sure you feel comfortable and that your needs are met. Dr. Goodman is not only my dental provider, my family and childrens dental provider, but also has become a friend over the last 14 years...Where else can you find a dentist that provides amazing dental service from the heart?! I certainly know for almost everyone, going to visit a dentist is like pulling teeth. Please believe me when I tell you that this will never be the case at Dr.Goodmans office, even when youre, well.......pulling teeth. His staff is top notch....always friendly and courteous(even on the most difficult patients. Ive seen it myself). They all do a great job! Dr. Goodman is a class act also. He never tries to push anyone thru the process and explains everything that has been done and/or needs to be done. His hygienists are very capable and thorough.....and for you weenies out there.....painless. Nothing worse than leaving the dentist after a regular checkup and your mouth feels like someone was one was in there with a jackhammer. I must mention the one thing that impresses me the most about his practice. Everyone there knows that your/my time is very valuable to each of us. Spending countless minutes or hours waiting on an appointment is very frustrating. Be there early, because when your appointment time gets there, they are ready for you. I have always felt that they hurry but never rush on a patient and to me there is a huge difference. You will not be disappointed. The staff was wonderful. Dr. Goodman was super polite and friendly. Everybody made you feel very comfortable and at home. It was one of my best experiences at the dentist office.

I had a couple of nightmare dental experiences so I, um, (true confession) didnt go back to the dentist for 15 years. Meanwhile my mouth was in horrible shape and I had holes all over the place and lost a tooth. I just wished I could go someplace, be knocked out, and have my mouth fixed in one day--I was terrified! Finally I knew I had to do something. I visited a chain dental office and it was super trendy but I didnt feel comfortable. I consulted with a recommended dentist who hung me upside down, looked at the xrays from the chain office instead of actually looking at my teeth, wouldnt stop talking, and tried to bully me into procedures I wasnt ready for (like just pulling out teeth I didnt want pulled out). Then a friend recommended Dr. Goodman. Wow! The people in his office are SO nice. They dont lecture you for being an idiot and neglecting your teeth--guilt-free dental work. Theyre so gentle, fast, and kind--and they listen. Theyre the perfect balance of reactive and proactive. They work with me on insurance issues so I dont have to wrestle with that. Best of all, Dr. Goodman and his associates are so amazingly skilled! Hes so skilled and quick that shots and drills are hardly noticeable. Going to the dentist is not traumatic for me any more. And Im thrilled to finally get my teeth taken care of. Im so thankful my friend recommended Dr. Goodman.

I just recently went to Dr. Goodman for the first time after having several unpleasant experiences with previous dentists. The entire staff is very friendly and will bend over backwards to make your experience a great one. Dr. Goodman checked an area I had concerns about after a sketchy filling from a previous dentist. The cleaning by the hygienist was virtually painless. I will definitely go back without a doubt.

I have always been quite uncomfortable with my smile. I went to meet with many cosmetic dentists but I could not find the right one for me until I met Dr. Goodman. He uses the latest technology and offered me to do the treatment at a low cost. He is not only professional and friendly but also a great comedian. I laughed and enjoyed a lot of jokes from Dr. Goodman. Besides, the staffs are also very affectionate and caring.
