Jillian exceeded all my expectations! After moving to KC over a year ago I can finally say I’ve found the perfect hairdresser for me. The salon itself is clean, has a great vibe and sells some really cute items. All around awesome ❤️

Every time Roots & Branches Salon does my hair I say that it looks the best it ever has... it just keeps getting better! She is seriously the only person I trust for all of my hair needs. She is such a talented stylist and I would recommend her to my closest friends.

I have literally never left a review for anything in my life but I had to for this place! Roots & Branches Salon was an absolute doll and put so much thought and effort into making sure my hair came out as light as I wanted. She took extra time to tone it as well and Im obsessed with how it looks. Ive never been so happy walking out of a salon before!

Riane Watkins is the best, most focused hair stylist Ive ever had. I trusted her to cut off 11 inches of my hair! Shes good with all hair textures and lengths, and her colorist skills are sharp. Chic salon right off the KC Streetcar in River Market. Adult beverages and soda provided for customers.

Molly is AMAZING at what she does! I love to give her artistic liberty and see what she comes up with.

I had Trilby who did my hair coloring two weeks ago, and all I can say is WOW! She did the most outstanding job and I’m still in shock how amazing my hair looks! She took her time and I am so thankful I found her. My blonde hair has never looked better and after a year and a half of searching for the right stylist I finally found someone! Look no further Trilby does amazing work!

Having never done any sort of coloring to my hair before, last year I decided I wanted to try out baylage. The staff took the time to understand what I was looking for with the baylage and did a great job of easing my nerves. I have been going back ever since then and have loved the experience/people!

Wonderful place and wonderful people. I love the little shop inside. My hairstylist Trilby is amazing. She colored and cut my hair and she did such a great job that she left me speechless. Trilby is very talented.

Trilby booked me last minute and was super flexible! When I came in the salon was beautiful and I enjoyed some complimentary wine while she worked on me, which was a plus. I felt like Trilby really listened to me, too. I got a dry cut and could not be happier with the results!! Honestly the best hair cut Ive had in years! Im a curly girl and had been doing Deva cuts the past few years but now I wont go back. Thanks Trilby!

Abby is fantastic. I’m so picky with my hair and most people fail at delivering what I ask for, but not Abby! I love the atmosphere of the salon itself. There are complimentary drinks and snacks for you while you’re getting your hair done. The salon is beautiful and in such a cool location, down in the river market. I’m not even from the area and I’m willing to drive 40 minutes just so Abby can be the one who does my hair. She makes you feel at ease the entire time. She is so incredibly talented, and she truly cares about making her clients happy. She wants you to love the outcome and goes out of her way to make sure she achieves that. I can not recommend her enough to people. It took me 5 years from moving here to find someone I trust, and I will not be going to anyone else. Highly recommend Abby!

Janice is awesome!!Recently moved to KC and have been trying to grow out my pixie cut. Last few haircuts elsewhere have been less than great, so I have been nervous to try another person. I came in with several pictures and was very picky, but Janice listened to me and delivered! I got exactly what I was wanting and I look forward to my next cut and style with her. I am confident she will get me exactly where I am going, without hating my “awkward stage” of growing out a short style.

Abby was phenomenal! My current hair situation was not good and with confidence she told me that what I wanted to do with my hair would be doable. And she delivered! Finally found my hairstylist!! Salon is also very cute and welcoming, in a great location.

Lacy was wonderful! Hair cuts are always awkward for me because I dont know anything about hair and have no direction to give. Lacy made me feel comfortable, did the thing and I am so happy with the outcome and the whole experience. Roots & Branches is very comfortable and beautiful. I love that they use cruelty free products. They have a cute shop inside as well. I went in the morning so parking was a breeze but do allow plenty of time to park if you are going during busy hours (lunch, dinner or weekends).

Couldnt ask for more. Great location / atmosphere/ staff. I have never had anyone take the time on my hair that Janice Pancake did today ! Completely transformed my look and took her time blending and adding texture to my hair, also mixed up the perfect color. If youre reading reviews trying to find the right place for you, give this one a try. Im sure you wouldnt regret it!

Janice is amazing. She takes wonderful care of me. As for the location, sometimes finding parking is problematic depending upon the time of day. Lunch time and weekends are difficult. The salon is tastefully decorated and I am able to relax when I get there.

This boutique salon is truly a unique gem! You walk in and feel right at home, every stylist greets you and everyone is extremely friendly and accommodating! Molly, the owner, who is an expert hairstylist and very personable. She listens to what you want and also guides you in a direction to continually keep your hair healthy and in the best shape (which is extremely important for myself). I appreciate that the salon is always impeccably clean and is designed in a way to relax you! I would recommend this salon to anyone whom is looking for a great hair stylist (all of the stylists are great). You can consider me a permanent client at Roots and Branches Salon because I believe that trusting your stylist and hair salon is really the most valuable thing you can do.

Wow! This salon is a breath of fresh air. Inviting, stylish, and new! Molly is always attentive and considerate of what I want, but usually knows best! You can tell these stylists are well educated, on trend and happy to be at work! Wouldnt go anywhere else, or trust my hair to someone less worthy!

Well most importantly Ive never had a better cut and color in the 20+ years of having my hair done and I am a blonde to which can easily be butchered. I felt at home the second I walked in. Drinks served, candles lit as if I was in a spa, everything from the color of the walls to the cleanliness of the salon made me feel at ease with my visit. A womens hair defines her and I wouldnt trust anyone but Roots and Branches with my hair again. Family owned small business that gives back to the community daily and does above quality work at affordable prices ... sold sold and sold. Thank you Roots and Branches!!

I go to Abby because I know she will listen to me and spend time getting my cut and color right. The salon itself is eclectic. It sells hair products, candles, jewelry and other assorted items. Definitely recommend it.

Possibly the nicest salon in KC: Fresh, stylish, clean and welcoming (that last one is a rare treat). The stylists are all friendly and warm and seem to really enjoy being there. Experiences like this make me look forward to needing a haircut!
