Dr Sanchez is a warm caring person. She listens to all your needs and makes a very professional assessment of what would be in your best interest. This is my first time here and I couldnt be more happier with the help that Dr. Sanchez is giving to me. Thank you and God bless

Nexstep Coastal Spin and Pain Center is a wonderful practice of caring nurses, physicians and other healthcare professionals. I was introduced to them by a friend, and have been so pleased with my experiences there that I had to write a quick review. I have been seeing them for months now, and every appointment has been a pleasure. They are always on time and take their practice very seriously. They treat you as a patient, not a number and you can feel how much they truly do care. I know its difficult to find a good medical practice, but you can be assured this is truly one of the genuinely good ones. They are not a pill mill, so if that is what you are looking for, look elsewhere. That is not to say they dont prescribe medication if you need it, but they never overprescribe and they check and count your pills at every appointment. This may seem like an intrusion, but it is in their and your best interest that they keep track of how you are doing with following the dosage instructions. If you need a dose increase, call and ask...dont just take more. Also, if you are there for their buprenorphine/Suboxone treatment, you will be urine tested every time, so please dont go there if you are not willing to play by the rules. They are only there to help you, not enable you to make bad decisions. If you do make a mistake, be honest with them and most likely they will give you another chance because they know no one is perfect, especially when it comes to addiction. If you are looking for a high quality healthcare practice, this may be just the one for you...I know it is for me and many of my friends whom I recommended them to in the past. Regards, Greg

Let me share right off the bat, this is not the place to go if you’re looking for opioid treatment solely. If you come in telling them what you want, it will go south. They are doctors, good ones too, but you have to hear them out first. They do make you sign a contract, for your own safety, which includes bringing your medication bottles and making sure YOU refill your medication on time. They have signs all over the office stating refill requests will not be authorized over the phone, it is your job at the appointment to tell the Doc you need a refill. They won’t “let you go into withdrawal”, they know withdrawal will happen if you are negligent on your medication, but they want you to have responsibility. It’s only pain and suffering if you allow it to end up that way. If you abuse your medication, they will know, and consequences will follow. This is not a pill mill, come here for pain treatment, and realize it may not look like what you were hoping for, but if you have real pain, it should be easy to come in and start the path to relief. The doctors here will take care of you.I’ve been going here for years, and originally had Dr.Muenz. He is an intelligent guy, but as the other reviews have said, he is tough in a non compassionate sense. The first 1.5 years I saw him every month, but one day it changed and he had a hurtful opposite opinion of something I was suffering with. To be argued with over real physical suffering from a med he prescribed was hard. This caused me to seek treatment by another doctor on the team. Mind you, he’s cool and definitely has great relationships with some patients, our personalities no longer meshed towards the end. He certainly doesn’t like to be questioned, and on this field, patients need to be able to advocate for themselves. He’s old school in many ways. When I met Todd Wurtz NP, he was kind, exciting, and honest. He has fought for me, contacted other medical professionals, scheduled procedures and lab work, all to better figure out my many chronic illnesses and comorbidities. If I’m not feeling right, Todd will work tirelessly to figure it out. The best part, is he has a holistic side to him, and has recommended yoga, meditation, transcendental meditation and more. He will prescribe medication if needed, but that’s just a band aid. His holistic suggestions are wonderful and work if you apply yourself. I am in pain 24/7, especially now after I was hit and totaled by a semi truck. I carry more pain than ever, but Todd always asks what he can do for me, and has equal respect for me as I have for him. He’s different, and if you request him, you’ll soon find out what I mean. This place will help you, if you are open to different kinds of treatment. They will work hard for you, and provide as many options as they have available that may ease or treat your pain. I suggest coming in the morning, as the afternoon has a completely full waiting area after lunch. Be prepared to wait, as this is not an in and out type of place. If you’re looking for relief, give them a try. If you follow their guidelines, you can’t go wrong. Special Thanks to the staff at NexStep, you are all rockstars!

I could never recommend a better pain management office. First thing the doctor (who I must admit is one of my favorite and highly true and extremely thorough. ) he ran a very thorough blood panel on me and was the first person to recheck me for Epstein Barr since 15 years ago. Hes a rhuematologist also which greatly helps me since I have auto immune disorders and loads of arthritis at only 39. Hes saved me from going under the knife as my last ditch effort to stop my pain. We are doing non permanent and very effective treatments called ablation of the spinal nerves where the pain comes from. He and his staff will fight for you to get the insurance to cover procedures. Im so grateful for the whole staff!

The one place where compassion and understanding are vital is in the presence of a person in pain. To their absolutely stellar staff and prodigious medical professionals I am eternally grateful. Chronic conditions are faced down with myriad faceted treatment strategies that hunt down the untenable and make recovery attainable. If apathetic corral experiences have been in your past as well...prepare yourself for a renewal of hope in humanity

I have great respect for Dr. Patrick Burns from Coastal Spine and Pain Center, however the doctors that work at this Bartram Park office are awful. They do not care about the well being of the patient, their answering service is rude and hangs up on people. They prescribe medication, you become addicted to it and they tell you it is your fault, they give you another medication then let you run out and go through with drawls and again it is your fault. My fiancee has gone through with drawls almost every 6 months for the last 3 years he has been receiving care in this office. He keeps trying to return to the Riverside Office but is told he cannot because he is a problem patient. DO NOT GO THERE!

Please do not go to this doctor. He is obsessed with control and needs to seek psychiatry treatment himself. I wont go into detail what he did to me and my husband, but I just want to put it out there to avoid him and his practice at all costs. He will ruin you if you are a chronic pain patient.

No compassion, he is a very rude person, he spoke to my caregiver who is also my sister like she was scum, she tried to speak once and he shook his finger at her and told her to shut her mouth or hes gonna make her leave. I will not ever go back to this place. He told me that since I did all I could to make the last of what I had stretch (didnt wanna be sick cuz they sent me here and it took over 2 months to get in) that I wasnt in pain, however I recently had brain surgery and have a sac of csf herniating out of my skull where they did a bone ectomy to decompress my chari malformation. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND FOR THIS DOCTOR TO RETIRE WHETHER HE LIKED IT OR NOT!!! He treated me like Im a drug addict and the scowl on his face that was there before he walked in & was even worse as he walked in and it was my first time there. If your seriously in pain annd have major issues this doc aint for you, and even if you were sent to next step & not this particular doctor I would say, fire them and look elsewhere hell treat you like hes better than you.

Dr Muenz seems like a nice guy at first, but, despite a 22 year history of pain and never having asked about opioids (and, when he mentioned not prescribing them, I responded that I didnt care about being prescribed opiates), he decided to solely diagnose me with opioid use disorder.I brought in physical medical records of my pain going back to age 12 and he refused to even glance at them. He then required me to return every two weeks and questioned me when I asked why I was being treated like an addict rather than a chronic pain patient. He dismissed my concerns about long-term steroids and my assertion that the short course he gave me at my first appointment did not make an improvement. What a joke. Dont even bother going if youre not looking for addiction medicine because its a HUGE waste of time and money. After being on the same medication, including opiates, for FIFTEEN YEARS, he refused to prescribe anything other than long-term steroids (which are terrible for you) or Suboxone. Because of Coastal (and specifically Dr Muenz), I can no longer work and dont have enough money to feed myself through the month. These pain management doctors (including but not limited to this clinic) need to learn how to actually treat pain. The thing that kills me is that Suboxone is also an opioid and is also addictive. Had that been what I needed, and had he been straightforward about his supposed prescribing limitations, I would have stopped going and gotten a prescription from my psychiatrist instead of wasting $200 at Coastal.I cant recommend this clinic less. If I could give less than one star, that would definitely be my choice.

Absolutely adore Dr Munez but the staff in the office believes that if your in on 26th and your calling on the 28th for prior authorization for Suboxone that you were just here. 3 days isnt long enough of a wait for them and as someone whom CANNOT just stop the medication I have ran out of time. With luck able to borrow money and get half my dose 2 films to stretch 2 days. So on top of withdrawals the #1 and only reason you take the meds is for pain. So now your in both. They close early today go home enjoy their days off while Im gonna be in the er sick with people looking at me like Im an addict and if it isnt done today I wont be refunded the $54 for the 7 I originally got. The Dr can be sued for pain and suffering as well as reimbursement but Dr Munez isnt the one at fault. So he can choose to keep the employee refund my money out of her check or let her go. My next letter will be to corporate and BBB. Its wrong, to know what will happen to the patient and yet refuse to do your job means your inhumane and incompetent.
