This is the electrical apprenticeship affiliated with both the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) for the Northeast Florida region. It is an excellent facility, with cutting edge Labs, syllabus, and some of the best and hardest working instructors you will find in the nation. It has really grown from humble beginnings, and is still a work in progress, but as of right now is home to over 300 electrical apprentices, spanning 5 years of relevant, structured, and top notch education in the electrical trade. We continue to grow and evolve year after year, and turn out THE best trained tradespeople in our industry. The staff here tirelessly work to pass along the tennents of [correct] Attitude, Skill, and Knowledge for the electrical trade as a whole. You will be given all the tools you will need to succeed, along with earning a full-time, living wage, with a generous benefit package to boot. Not only do you earn while you learn, and earn college credits, but you also have no student loan debt to worry about once you complete your course of study! If you have even so much of an inkling of possibly wanting to join a trade, please go by and speak to someone here. It could be the start of a very long, worthwhile, and lucrative trade and career for you. A trade that is always on the bleeding edge of technogical advancements, working methods, and safety practices. We power America! Come and join our family of over 750,000 brothers and sisters, and feel what it is to empower your life and future.(These are my personal views and perspectives, and in no way are to be taken as an official communication or views of the Electrical Training Alliance, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, or the National Electrical Contractors Association.)

I am a graduate of this apprenticeship and I cant say enough good things about it! It has helped me to go from a young man fresh out of the Marines to leading a successful life taking care of my family. I learned trade skills without incurring any debt and was able to receive my GI Bill money as a check to help pay bills instead of giving it to a for-profit school.Dont give your money to a for profit school before trying to get into this program. Its an earn while you learn program that only takes a limited number of applicants a year. You work for a contractor during the day (for a paycheck with full family health insurance provided by the contractor) and go to classes 2 nights a week for 3 hours. The only costs are yearly book/lab fees of about $600 to $800, and if you do well, they give you some money back to help pay for next years books. If you want to be an electrician, THIS is the way to do it!

They said they would contact me in reference to a construction wireman position after I took my exam. They never did. I contacted the lady at the front office she said there was no work being done. Meanwhile other people were getting calls for wireman jobs. I suspect it had something to do with my age (being older) but they will never say that. It was a waste of time to go through process.
