BEWARE!!: If you are shipping with little ones near closing time, 7 minutes prior to closing they turn ALL their lights OFF. If you have the misfortune to be in a fitting room surrounded by mountains of other shoppers try-ons, not only is it impossible to see which items you brought in with you, but no one will care when your FOUR YEAR OLD starts crying very loudly because the fitting room suddenly went completely dark. No warning. No flickering the lights to warn. Just dark. When you go cash out and request to speak with the manager, not only will she blame Corporate stating they have it in a timer and she cant do anything about it, but definitely keep your eyes on the cashier while she tries to charge you twice on multiple items while youre speaking with said manager. Horrible experience is an understatement. As multiple others have pointed out, their items ARE overpriced - even if broken, stained, missing pieces, etc... HORRIBLE. For a Corporation to treat their praying customers with such disregard for safety as to literally leave them in the dark, surprised they havent had any injury suits yet.

Staff doesnt like to work. Manager is rude. Called ahead asked if they had any shelfs and manager said they had a ton of them I asked if they could give me a brief description of any of it. they said no they were so busy. I got there they had no shelves and everybody except for the young girl was hanging out laughing and talking not doing anything in the back while the one girl was running around doing everything. I watched somebody stand at the cash register for 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged that someone would be out to help. they price things as if theyre brand new. No exaggeration. Everything is pretty much a rip off. all their clothes is worn and tattered and got hair all over it. Its just an absolute waste of time. Its not even a real Goodwill.

Ive found beautiful and unique clothing here. The store has a variety of items, well stocked wall to wall (and even more in the storage room). Its one of my favorite places to go with my elderly relatives. I was disappointed to find that the price signs that once hung above specific clothing/shoes/misc. merchandise has been removed and only 1 small sign by the checkout table wall reveals the pricey goods. I have to give 3 stars today because whenever I went to checkout the other day, a cashier was nowhere to be found. I waited nearly 5 minutes and another lady had got in line. It wasnt until there were 2 of us waiting that a cashier slowly walked up. It should be an urgency to help customers. I purchased 3 articles of clothing, 1 blouse that had a bronze metallic material, 1 black sweater with rainbow glitter and a white sparkly suit coat. My total was $14 for just 3 items. It seems very over priced for a thrift store. I recommend Rainbow clothing beside the old Walmart for $3 items on clearance, brand new!

I went there to find jeans for work as i have a job where i get extremely dirty. I was able to find 5+ pairs in good condition, at an extremely fair price especially for the brands. The employees were helpful and friendly. The store was very clean and clothes were well organized which kept my search quick and simple. I will definitely return and i do recommend.

This is probably the best maintained goodwill store I have ever been in. The place was well maintained and the racks were not overflowing or completely covered in discarded clothes. The prices are unbelievably good. I would highly recommend this place to anyone on a tight budget or anyone trying to save money.

Store was large, nicely spaced and was very well organized. I was mainly looking for furniture pieces but there wasnt much to choose from. However, they had just sold a large amount to a lady before me. I am sure there will be more to come in.This was my first visit here and I will come back.

Just went in to take a quick look to see if anything caught my eye. Plenty of things did but when looking at the prices... NO! The prices are way to high for 2nd hand and they’re condition. You wouldn’t pay that at a yard sale so why would you pay it at a thrift store. Finders Keepers thrift store is far better in prices and you always know the people there are kind and helpful. Every time I walk into this Goodwill that isn’t so good I am reminded why I stayed away so long.

Reasonably priced normal thrift store. I went in and found some cool chairs that went perfectly with a table I recently purchased elsewhere. After lugging them up the the counter I read the sign that said Cash Only. I asked an employee to hold them and she said no problem but only for about ten minutes because things sell fast. I took them to the back room for her. That was fine with me, I ran over to the bank where there was a line at the ATM, so I was maybe a little over ten minutes, went back to the stores. The employee directed me to the back room, I grabbed the chairs, and went to the checkout desk. A man in front of me turned around and asked the employee working are those my chairs? I told him no, Ive had them on hold for a few minutes while I went to get cash. Turns out he did too. He had already paid for them, and the woman at the cash register was taking his side on this, so I wasnt going to fight it. Apparently the chairs had been a set of four, they had accidentally sold the other two, and he had renegotiated the price for them already. I was angry, but fine, he could have them, not his fault. I realize its a thrift store and that things are cheap and sell quickly, but if youre going to run a business, run the damn business correctly. The past hour of absolute wasting my time from the time I walked in to start looking to the time I finish this review is why shopping non the internet is going to run the places out of business. Id rather spend my money not talking to anyone and getting my order the next day than dealing with people who cant run a business. Disappointed that I left the house today - wont be back.

I cannot believe that with all the money they are making off of stuff that is donated. For something that was donated and you are making nothing but 100% profit! You should have sales and help out some People who need the help. IT WAS TRULY HORRIBLE TO SEE EMPLOYEES THROWING MERCHANDISE THAT IS PERFECTLY GOOD AND COULD BE MARKED DOWN ON SALE OR DONATED. THEY WHERE BREAKING DISHES AND DECORATIVE ITEMS. THIS ITEMS SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO SHELTERS AND OTHER NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. I.E. WOMENS SHELTERS AND THE HOMELESS. SLIGHTLY DISAPPOINTED! I was at the Onslow County Landfill on Meadowview Drive, Jacksonville, NC at approximately 09:45 on the morning of June 10, 2016. I was unloading trash, and beside me was a Goodwill truck, the driver also disposing of unwanted items. I am an elderly gentleman, and I was struggling with a rater heavy item. I politely got the Goodwill drivers attention, and politely asked if he might be able to give me some assistance. His response was that he was too busy and that he was on the clock. As near as I can determine, the truck number was #643, and it also had a sticker on the door which read Coastal Partnership with the number 4724 on it. Over the years, I have donated numerous items, year after year to Goodwill, never asking anything in return. Not even so much as a receipt for tax purposes. This driver was too busy to spare one minute of his time to assist an elderly man. Thanks to the attitude and actions of this one person, I assure you that Goodwill will NEVER receive ANYTHING from me again, to include anything good being said about them, and I intend to let everyone that I can know about this experience.

I was in the Jacksonville, NC Goodwill store. An elderly woman which appeared to be in her 70s /80s had been shopping. She had a full cart which was at her side as she sat in a chair. This was not a specially designated chair for trying on shoes as there were no specially designated chair/s for such a thing, nor was there any place specifically for patrons to simply have a seat. Inside or outside of the store. The only place was on the for sale furniture items. Sitting beside this aged woman was a man holding a baby. Samantha the store manager told both patrons they couldnt sit there and made them get up. My question is this... perhaps THEY WERE trying on shoes. PERHAPS they were contemplating furniture purchases? They couldnt sit. I registered this complaint with Aiden the store manager. Her explanation was this; do to the fact a child was on the furniture and a head board fell on her, for safety purposes sitting was prohibited. Why were other pieces of furniture set up in such a way to pose hazards? Today I was in the same store and one of the male workers, single handedly was moving a full size sofa out of the store by himself. Tall end up straight in the air. Yes he struggled. Yes it fell. Tell me that was safe. I went to the bathroom and they had a big bin and clothes rack in front of the door. Why? The lady told ME to be careful. Way to blame the customers for employee stumbling blocks.Besides the fact the store is nasty and dirty, items in there are broke, really really dirty and/or over priced. Two out of the three dressing rooms are tiny with chairs in there taking up 3/4 of the room to the point you cant get the door open or closed easily enough to get out in a hurry even if you had too! Moral is poor in there you can tell they hate their jobs.

You never know what kind of attitude youll find when you drop off items. Last weekend, there was a very kind man, but tonight there was an extremely rude woman. Similar to The Hem in Swansboro, they expect you to sort out like items. When Im decluttering, I dont split things up. If I do that, itll be harder for me to get rid of it. I know theyre volunteers so they dont get paid to be nice, but it would still be great if they could be! Ill stick to going the same distance to Morehead City where theyre friendly. I believe the shop is called Second Blessing.

Found many clothes in discount bin and when tried to pay for them they told me they were not suppose to be in that bin...and would not give them to me at the bin price. Called manager over and she said workers must have made a mistake and still would not budge on price! She was very rude to me! What happened to customer service?!?? This is the worse store I have ever been in, in my entire adult life, it makes WalMart look like Macys. I went there a few days before christmas and what I saw and experienced there will hunt me for ever. When you first walk into the store all you see is filth, every where. The floors are cluttered with cloths hangers and debris. There are dust bunnies the size of rabbits under everything. Every knick knack in the store is cover in thick layers of dust and dirt, I doubt these items have ever been cleaned. Even the toys the children there were playing with, were just plain dirty. I would not be surprise if all of the kids I saw there woke up sick the next day. Then I walk over to the clothes rack, just too see and the first thing that hit was this stale, musty, rancid odor. As I pulled back the clothes I came upon this blue garment cover with this damp white residue, that smell like wet dog and dirty underwear. It was putrid, so I grabbed it and took it to the cashier, so I could let them know what I had found and to check the racks for other mildew item, before they have a chance to contaminate the other clothes on the rack. She was grateful but she said since the clothes are donated Goodwill is not responsible for the state of condition of any item in the store, it is sold as is. So what if someone gets sick I ask? All she did was shake her head and told me to complain to corporate. I know what that means having worked in retail for 6 years , so I said thank you and where can I wash my hands. She pointed towards the back. When I got there the sign said employees only, so I ask someone who was working in the back (without gloves or masks) if I could wash my hands, she said okay. When I open that door it was all I could do to keep my stomach from coming out of my mouth, the smell was so putrid so vile, that even the devil him self would have to say dam. The toilet was cover with urine and feces. It was on the floor and the walls. The sink was plastered blood and what look like chunks of vomit. I almost fainted, it took all my strength not to. I left the store as fast as I could, I barely made it to Mcdonalds next door to used their restroom, where I vomit for what seem like forever. This particular Goodwill store is not a blessing to the community, like so many are. This one is a curse, a disaster waiting to happen. If you care about your health and the health of your loves one, then I implore you Not! to Shop at this store. This store needs to be condemned and shut down ASAP. I feel so sorry for employees that have to work under those hellish conditions, no one deserves that. Do not shop at this store. Why? because they dont care about the community, they dont even care about their own employees, and they dont care about you. All they care about is the almighty dollar, so dont give them the satisfaction. There are other thrift stores other places to go. Please do not shop at this stop. Thank You
