I got my dates crossed up and went to my appointment 1 week early! The staff all worked together to work me in. Even with all the changes they were having to do to accommodate me no one made me feel like that. My nurse Loraine was wonderful. I immediately felt like we were old friends meeting again. Thank you to the whole staff.

Had a great experience with Dr. Ibegbu. The office was able to get me in to be seen asap for diagnosis and a follow up procedure. Staff at both locations were warm and efficient. Dr. Ibegbu will take the time needed to answer all your questions. This may affect wait times for others but please keep this in mind as you’re waiting; you will have your turn too and you will not feel rushed as you ask important questions.

Havent gotten to see the doctor yet. An hour past my appointment they finally called me back. Hooked up the bp cuff and took off. 5 minutes later she comes back and tells me to have a seat in the waiting room. This places closes in 35 minutes and theres nine other people still waiting - not counting the lady at the counter rescheduling. Talking with one of the other patients waiting and this is apparently normal.

I’m active duty and was suddenly struggling with bowel issues, lots of pain and some weight gain out of nowhere. I was referred to Atlantic medical group for concern of family history issues. I had undergone weeks of tests and biopsies only to find out I had a simple diet fix due to a new intolerance to fructose. The pain is gone, the struggling is over, I’m shedding weight off in a proper healthy way. They have MANY different routes they will take to figure out what the issue is. Things take time.

It a very welcoming place. I’ve had four procedures done here through the VA and had to wait I’ve an hour each time to get back to a room and then another 30 to be seen. Staff very unfriendly and treat you like your there for them. Will never come here again.

I had a great experience with Dr.Ibegbu and his wonderful staff. I had an Endoscopy. Colonoscopy and a Bravo done. I was very nervous and scared because I had not had a Colonoscopy done in 7 years. I was amazed how Dr. Ibegbi and his staff answered all my questions and had an answer I could understand. I would definitly recommrnd Atlantic Medical group to my family and friends. I am thankful to have found this practice! I truly feel like I’m on a path to get some answers and relief for this issues that I am having. I liked Dr. Ibegbu from the moment I met him. I’m my book that’s very important. He’s warm, friendly, and seemed to really care about my issues. Additionally, the front desk staff is very friendly and the nurses seem very knowledgeable in what they do. With the type of procedures I had done, I can say that it was very comforting to feel as though these ladies really knew what they were doing.

This office is extremely unprofessional. My husband recently went here to be scheduled for a procedure and waited in the office for over 2 hours. He said he “felt like a number”. He was told to come to the office at 6:20am on the day of his procedure and we sat in the waiting room for 10 minutes before anyone even turned the lights on in the office and acknowledged us. It’s amazing that they charge $200 for a no-show but they cannot be on time for their clients.

DR. Ibegbu and staff are friendly and kind! This office is VERY military friendly. Dr. Lbegbu listens to your concerns and explains why you need certain procedures. They also have an office in Kinston, Kinston office is my favorite!! Thank you Atlantic medical group!!

Easy, no wait in office, and happy with the Dr and his staff.

This place is awful. Staff doesn’t wear masks in a pandemic around immune compromised patients. Every appointment made is rescheduled the day before for a different time so you have to take the entire day off because you never know when your actual appointment is. It never matters what time your appointment is anyway, expect an hour plus wait time in a tiny dirty waiting room. I myself have waited 2 hours to be seen before. The doctor himself doesn’t seem to really care about GI patients he doesn’t ask any prompting questions. He can’t keep a staff because of poor working conditions (as told by prior workers) so nurses are constantly leaving and understaffed. I would avoid this place if you can. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Every time I come here I wait here for 2 extra hours on top of the appointment. Everyone that said they waited this long is 100% right. I started showing up to my appointment an hour and a half late so I didn’t have to wait that long. The doctors seem like they just don’t care and rush everything and then get out of there to go home.

WORST communication. I have called for months and have not been able to schedule an appointment or even talk to someone. Had to get referred out to a different practice.

I gave this office a “1” star rating because it wouldn’t let me leave it blank. There is ZERO customer service here. The nurse I had for my procedure is about the only good experience I’ve had in my four visits. I highly do not recommend this place. Tricare referred me here and that’s the only reason I’m here. They do not answer phone calls, they answer and put you on hold for 20 plus minutes. I have been sitting in this office for over 2 hours now… still waiting. If you are tricare prime or standard, DO NOT accept the referral. I have been actively bleeding for over a month now and no sense of rushing my operations results. No checking in on me. This place is horrendous. Do not come here if you have serious concerns about your health. Also, if you ever walk into a Dr office and the front desk “coordinator” looks at you and says “whats up?” Please turn around and walk out that door.

So first let me say the procedure staff is fabulous.. great experience and professionals. The issue is the outright lack of respect for your time with constant and rampant overbooking and excessive wait times for regular appointments. 2 hour minimum wait past your time every time. Unacceptable especially with a sign hanging in the space declaring a $200 fee for missed procedures and $100 fee for missed appointments. So where do I send my bill for my wasted time?

The treatment I received has made my life so much better. I’m no longer in pain nor confined to minimum activity. The medical staff and the doctor are phenomenal individuals.They were kind and courteous every visit. The facility was clean and I felt safe visiting it during this pandemic. Wish that I could give more than five stars because the service and people are wonderful.

Dr Ibegbu is a great dr, unfortunately you will be sitting for 2 hours past your apt time so waiting to be seen. I have been a patient here for years and have finally had enough. It is literally every apt.

I’ve been going here for 2 years. Avoid this place if you can. Dr Ibebus office seems to be more concerned with getting his office over booked and patients in and out rather than providing proper care. My last visit; I was told the day before to come in an hour before my scheduled time. Then waited an hour before someone came out and told me to come back in 2 hours and “go get lunch or something” because they were so behind. The care is subpar and the Dr has never once order blood work for my established crohns disease, asked follow up questions, asked any questions about my health really. I tried a couple months ago to set a follow up appointment but I waited 2 hours in the lobby and had to get to work. I told the nurse who told the dr and he came out and said you should really come in for a follow up appointment I haven’t seen you in over 6 months.. well that’s what today was for but now I’m leaving and nothing was done about it. No one called to reschedule. I recently found out they haven’t sent a single record paper over to my PCM. I finally have my insurance sending me to someone else.

What a wonderful Dr. I had a series of test to determine why I was projectile vomiting. My final test was a colonoscopy at which I tried everything in my power to get out of. I was diagnosed with colon cancer. Dr Ibegbu and his staff was so great to work with me and keep me calm. Forever grateful to Dr. Ibegbu!

Over all experience is pretty good. Seems to be a very busy practice so that one to one experience can be missed but the results and treatment is appropriate. The nurses are super friendly, I havent met one yet that came off as anything different. Thats what saves it. The anesthesia they use is also amazing as well.

I’ve been going to Dr. Ibegbu since he first came to Jacksonville years ago, and he has been the best! He takes his time to figure out what is wrong and will definitely make sure you are feeling much better! I would recommend him to anyone!

Dishonest. I asked about the cost without insurance and they claimed it was $125 and that fees would go towards any tests on the website chat. I go there and neither are true. I pay double and sit for 2 minutes with a doctor that doesnt even touch my abdomen or inspect anything to suggest I need an endoscopy and a gallbladder ultrasound. I asked about pain relief for the pain I was experiencing so I could do things and he has the nerve to suggest an anti-cramping drug when I had no cramps to begin with. I definitely was put through the wringer with these people. I didnt even get the doctor I was told I was going to get. I feel two stars are generous. I was baited and switched at every corner.

Every time I’ve been at this office they are running very far behind schedule. The waiting room is packed and it’s like a cattle call. A procedure that required anesthesia, I wasn’t weighed or my vitals taken beforehand. Extremely unprofessional staff, seems like they are extremely overworked!

This place is shady! First of all, when you walk in there are advertisements for weight loss everywhere. I was confused to whether or not we were actually at a physicians office or a weight loss center. I say pick one or the other and run with it. Secondly, we waited over an hour from our appointment time. The physician didn’t even examine my son and immediately ordered both a colonoscopy and endoscopy. We were originally trying to have a colonoscopy done when we made the appointment. So it was weird he added another test. We were worried about costs. Nurse Robby there advised us to call and speak to their billing & insurance girl, but we never received a call back. We won’t be returning and will be seeking care elsewhere. I would stay away from this place, it seems like a scam.

I give it 3 because the Doctor was able to give me a long awaited diagnosis and I am forever grateful for however, filling my prescription has been the most difficult thing Ive ever had to do at any doctor office. Every visit (except maybe once) have I had to constantly call in checking on an ETA of when my prescription would be sent in to the pharmacy from a visit 2-3 hours prior. This last experience is what caused me to bring out my rage. I feel the need to say thank you and I apologize if I sounded rude by the 3rd/4th call Brittany. I know it was not her fault as she was just the messenger but I really knew my call didnt matter when I finally got through to the nurse and was given an attitude about where to call to find info on my slides. I can understand if you are so very busy that you just maybe cant call me after 4 days in a row for some reason but I left the reason for my call in every message given to the nurse. All I wanted was a quick fax to the pharmacy so I can be the anxiety alli I truly am and avoid any future contact but no. I had to be mean just to get something that would make me stop throwing up 7 days in a row. Also thanks for the extra 2 slaps to the face with the robo calls not a minute after getting off the phone saying my prescription was submitted. Never got that before but I guess thanks for my little bit of sanity that was left. And Im copying & pasting to your other location because 4 days means I called both locations and I feel like people should know how it is. Thanks Dr Ibegbu for your help

For the second time, I have had the greatest experience from Dr. Ibegbus offices. Both in Kingston and in Jacksonville. I highly recommend Dr. Ibegbu.

I was seen for colonoscopy and hemorrhoid banding. The banding was poor, requiring surgery from a general surgeon. The office cleanliness was substandard. Dr. Ebegbu is a very nice personable doctor, however I am currently recovering from surgery due to misplaced procedure.

Dr. Ibegbu is very professional and his bedside manners are phenomenal. I highly recommend.

I had the Obera balloon. I had zero care after the placement. The dietician called 7-10 times in the 9 months I had it in place. The office called twice! Its been about a month since removal and I still have not received the prescription Dr. Ibegbu was supposed to call in for me on that day. Please look elsewhere for any procedure!

Overall Im pleased to have Dr. Ibegbu! The wait times can be a bit long but I think its worth it. While hes in the room with you, you have his full attention and dont feel rushed at all. I like the Doctor but they over book takes more then an hr to get a room then can take anywhere from 30 min to 1.5hrs to actualy see the Doctor. The head nurse is great and seems very caring. There is a lot of miscommunication in the Jacksonville office and orders for tests get missed or not ordered. Sum plan to be there at least 2hrs make sure your tests get ordered

First appointment I felt was overbooked and I honestly wasn’t overly impressed. I’d had a bad experience with my first colonoscopy so I truly was dreading this one (Please note that bad experience was NOT with Dr Ibegbu) However the morning of my procedure I was thrilled with how quickly it all went.The Staff ran everything like a well oiled machine and I was in and out very quickly and as promised....I don’t remember anything except how nice they were. I will return here if I ever have to repeat this procedure.

I have been a patient for over 6 years. Dr Ibegbu found my Crohns disease on my first colonoscopy visit and has been treating me ever since. The staff is very personable and you never feel like youre just a number. Everyone has a caring attitude, and they make you feel like family. Sometimes the wait can be a little lengthy but I feel that for the care that I receive, inside and outside the office, its well worth it. Keep up the great work. Love to all.

I have been dealing with my issues for over 4 years. I visited 2 different GI doctors before seeing Dr. Ibegbu. I had terrible visits with the other doctors and thought this one would be no different. When Dr. Ibegbu came into the room, I explained my issues and he actually listened. My anxiety has come into play quite often during all of this. Dr. Ibegbu took it into consideration and didn’t make me feel as though I shouldn’t have anxiety like the other doctors did. He discusses my care with me and my treatment/care have been amazing! I am finally getting my life back! I would recommend Atlantic Medical Group: Dr. Ibegbu, to anyone who needs a GI doctor. He will involve you in your own care and the staff will make you as comfortable as they can. Thank You Dr. Ibegbu and staff for the excellent care I have received!

Worst patient relations I’ve ever seen from a medical staff. The front desk staff is rude and inattentive. Called twice about problems with my endoscopy monitor. Calls were NEVER returned. Mentioned it to front desk attendant when returning the monitor, and she didn’t even acknowledge it. She just closed the window in my face after she took the monitor. Appointments are massively overbooked. Wait time was over 90 minutes. The place is an assembly line— quantity over quality. A horrible experience.

As always - during my remicade infusion - I am well taken care of by both Lawanna and Stacey! I have been a patient of Dr. Ibegbu for over 4 years and a regular every 8 week visitor to the Jacksonville facility where Lawanna and I first met - she is an amazing administrator and I cannot say enough about Stacey and her unerring ability to find a vein the first time every time (and my veins are tiny and rolling away from that needle). Stacey and Lawanna make coming in for an infusion a great visit and a near painless procedure! Wish I could give more stars!

Referred to by the VA. Wait time was a bit long but, not knowing fully what was going on in the back it was understandable. Staff was polite, chipper and answered all my questions and ensured I was alright after the procedure.

The staff was very professional before, during, and after my procedure. I am a hard stick and usually have to be stuck multiple times but the nurse Stacey is an expert when it comes to the I.V. sticks. She was able to stick me once and I did feel the stick. That alone put me at ease. I strongly recommend Dr. Eric Ibegbu and staff for all your Gastroenterology needs.

Several of my family members have been treated by Dr. Ibegbu but this was my first visit as a patient. Dr. Ibegbu and his entire staff are extremely professional and efficient. Dr Ibegbu is absolutely wonderfuI. I suffered on and off from acid reflux for a long time. A few years back it wouldnt go away even with OTC meds. It was constant. My family doc referred me to him, in just a couple weeks I was feeling so much better after an EGD and put on the right medication. Hes attentive, right to the point, patient with answering questions and genuinely cares about his patients well being. His staff is great too! Ill recommend him to anyone with gastro issues.

Posting 3 stars temporarily (until I return for my next few appointments).. Ive recently visited this office and I have a mixed review about it thus far. Beautiful office. You can tell the owner put a lot of care into the aesthetics. The staff is all polite, and the doc was nice as well. It felt more like talking to a friend who is there to help rather than a doctor. I never got the indication that he felt superior to me, which was great. Theres nothing worse than a doctor who talks down to you. A complaint would be that the wait time was very long. I was at the office for an hour and a half before I was even called back into a room. I would not recommend bringing your kids with you until they are able to improve their patient intake efficiency. Its as if they just havent quite mastered the art of timing scheduled appointments. Also, the waiting room was sweltering.. almost like a greenhouse. I will update with more after my next appointments.Update: I’ve been to the office many times at this point. Every single person in that office is polite and friendly. Overall, the best in town, but expect a wait in early afternoon!

The service here is awful. 1-3 hours waits no matter what time your appointment is scheduled. When I was seen for my medical issues they somehow misplaced my ultrasound on file.. ended up waiting 2 hours for them to tell me they dont know where it is and well reschedule you again in a month and we should have it then. Additionally I called to cancel said appointment and was on hold for 28 minutes. Save yourself some time and go somewhere else. The silver lining: my colonoscopy went smoothly.

Who wants to have a routine colonoscopy because you’ve turned 50? Not me, but I did it anyway.Dr. Ibegbu is board certified doctor and that’s important to me. He was friendly and professional. Everything was explained during my consultation, so when the procedure day came, I was really at ease.Stacy and Karen took great care prepping me for the colonoscopy.The employees at the front desk are efficient and nice. A smile goes a long way.
