Phillip and I had two amazing massage therapist Marshall and Carla. They did a wonderful job. This being Phillips first time ever having a massage at the age of forty- nine,he loved it and its been years since I have had one and totally will get back into having them again. Everyone was so nice the atmosphere was so relaxing and tranquil. We will definitely be back. The receptionist was such a sweetheart too.

I went with my husband for our first ever couples massage and absolutely enjoyed it. The massage therapists were very friendly and made it a great experience. The room was very clean and perfect for unwinding. By the time our session ended, I didnt want to get up from the massage table. I cant wait to go back!

When i called i spoke to Taylor and shes was absolutely amazing. Very friendly and bubbly. She helped me book our couples massage. When we arrived today we were greeted by Bella. She was delightful and helpful as well. Being our first time she helped us fill out our forms and filled us in on what to expect. Then Marshall and Carol greeted us and took us back to our room. They chatted with us a bit to see what our needs were. Thats how i knew we picked the right place. Once the session began i was positive we picked the right place. The massages were AMAZING!! 😇 Carol even took time to show us some home exercises to help reduce his back pain. We also enjoyed them chatted and laughed with us during it. I found them on Groupon about 8 months ago and haven’t had one disappointment yet! Everyone is GREAT I love the receptionist! They are always so sweet and helpful! The atmosphere is always relaxing and clean. Not to mention the massages and heated massage tables are EVERYTHING! Every therapist that I’ve had made me feel rejuvenated and relaxed, but Special thanks to Cody and Carla for always applying your knowledge, and going beyond to help the body heal!

My nephew and his wife had an awesome couples massage, but they did not inform my nephew and his wife that I had already tipped prior to the service. But they were quite accommodating with me dropping off champagne and flowers to make it more special. They said it was very special and if they lived here they would we be back every month for a couples massage!

I found this spa on Groupon, and I have to say that I am so glad I did. My husband and I came in for a couples massage, the staff was informative and friendly. The massage, I can’t even put into words how amazing it was. We will definitely be returning.

I love this place. Its decorated very nicely, and every time Ive gone for a massage, its just right. They dont talk too much during, but rather get the questions out of the way at the beginning. Theyre all so flexible, because one time I was able to go from an hour to an hour and a half during the same appointment.

The receptionist was sweet and accommodating when one of our masseuses was running late for our appointment. She gave us a complimentary foot detox and wine while we waited.I had Cody as a masseuse and he could tell I was nervous for my first massage. He was beyond professional and communicative on how I was doing throughout the massage and what he was going to do next. As a young female he made me feel extremely comfortable.

Troy did such a great job. He was accommodating and I left there soooo relaxed and rejuvenated. I came here for the first time thanks to groupon and I cant wait to go back. I did hot stones, aromatherapy and the sugar foot scrub. Highly recommend! The ambience in here allows your stress to melt away

Ive been coming here at least once a month for almost a year, but honestly, Im in here any chance I get! Arnette is amazing!! I always request Arnette and she always leaves me feeling so much better! Great for stress, pain, pampering, etc. The front staff is very nice and helpful, they always let me know if the deals going on at the time. You cannot beat the price either! I highly recommend Essentials, especially Arnette, and would love to try some of the other (many, many!) services they offer, including hair, Mani/Pedi, and facials. Every time I come here is such a treat 🤗

It was an amazing experience Me and my husband did the couples massage and I had Lana I believe that was her name we did the aromatherapy, exfoliate, facials and hotstones with the massage it was do relaxing. She massaged every inch of my body we will be returning and oh the peppermint smelled was so refreshing.

The young lady at the front desk was very young, seemed inexperienced and overall wasnt very welcoming. My massage itself was nice but couldve been better had the sugar scrub been the exfoliating treatment it was meant to be rather than just application of what felt like oil with a few sand molecules then wiped back off. But guess my therapist was too tired, as he kept yawning and sighing during this session! We get couples massages at least 3 times a year and this was the first time my husband was on a bed with a deep dip that was so hard he needed an extra pillow to lay on his stomach. Then he was never once asked to turn over on his back for this full body massage. Overall not impressed.

They ruined my anniversary! I would have given them 0 stars if I could have. 30 minutes before our appointment that was scheduled 3 weeks in advance and secured with a required 50% deposit , they called me to say that our masseuse were not available and that we would need to reschedule. No offer for addtional credits for their mistake, no responsiblity for their scheduling error . I was only told they were not the individual that schedule us. This is a horrible start to what should have been a marvelous day! I would never recommend these unprofessional, inconsiderate supposed business owners to anyone ever !! Extremely disappointed. What a horrible experience.

It was just rubbing back and popping fingers and toes I Won’t be back. Also the carpet in the rooms left you wondering how clean the place is. Didn’t look or feel clean in there. It’s a really old building too

I made an appointment for a cryotherapy consultation with Patricia. I received a confirmation in the morning by text and email. However, when I showed up they didn’t have me on their schedule. They acknowledged it was their mistake but offered no concession to fit me in. Turned me away. Very unprofessional.

Received a wonderful massage back in January 2021. Just now found the time to write a review. Found them on Groupon. Not my first massage, but first in Jacksonville and it was terrific. Booked a couples massage for myself and my boyfriend. I had Lana and he had Ashley. He requested Ashley mainly focus on certain pain areas. It was his first massage ever and he said she did amazing. Didnt hear too much from their table so she seems to move relaxingly. He prefers a light touch.Lana went to town on my aches and pains as I told her just everything needed relaxing. She was moving so fast and she is tough. I prefer light-medium and her strokes did the trick. Now I typically prefer a slower overall process BUT we got the package that had massage, hot stones, aroma, reflex, and exfoliation in 60 minutes when I feel that usually is a 90 minute process so I completely understand why she was moving fast-- she had a lot to do, and she got it all! I really liked the face massage she did (forehead/cheeks)! Id never had that done before and it felt great especially since I get tension headaches. The only thing I would change is I wish the aromatherapy was a little stronger, like inhaling right at my nose!Their facility is beautiful looks like a relaxing cabin on a lake, and the front desk reception was also bubbly and nice. Im currently in a lot of aches only reason why Im not booking with them tomorrow is simply because they dont have an opening and I cannot wait, so I will give a different place a fair try but I will remember to come back here! Their add-ons seem to be at a much better value than other places, so thats a really nice perk.

I am not one to leave reviews, but Cody was great! He’s very experienced. I highly recommend him for deep tissue. Will definitely be coming back with my boyfriend.

My husband and I went for our anniversary and we had two wonderful therapist. My husband had a massive stroke and he really enjoyed it. His therapist made sure he was comfortable the whole time. My therapist took my mind off of making sure that he was ok. Pricing is great. We will definitely be going back.

The front office clerk is the worst. Even though we were late during a horrible rain storm and several accidents they wouldn’t honor our appointment. We took the time to call prior to being late and she stated to us to come. The charger me a $50 no show fee even when our massager didn’t have an appointment afterwards. So I drove through rain storm and traffic and we are the last appointment for the day and won’t serve us. Her response was O well!! Straight BS. Find another establishment.

Cancelled my massage on the day of service. Was booked in advance with confirmation of appointment the day before. Really difficult to get a hold of anyone. I had to phone several times and was once put on hold for 15mins before i hung up and had to redial. When i did get through they tried to offer me a facial when i had paid for massage. Cant speak for the massage but the customer service has been ridiculous. Would not recommend.

Morgan did a great job with being professional and gave a great massage. I asked for some deep tissue and some areas for just relaxation...that is hard to do, but he pulled it off perfectly!

IM OBSESSED WITH THIS SPA! First, thank God for the new management. This is by far the best massage place in Jax. Next, Lana has been a true blessing for me as I have a neck/back injury from a 5 car pileup (i was number 3) in 2011...her technique is amazing and truly healing. She’s a real asset to Essentials.

I paid for a massage for an hour and got 43 minutes of someone running hot towels on me and hot rocks. I asked for a deep tissue massage and they didnt even massage me. The lady was in a hurry and did a horrible job. I took a survey and no one reached back to see if it was a problem. Frequented this place on 3 separate occasions. Will not go back there.

I have been getting massages from Eileen for a couple of years. She is the best massage therapist Ive ever had. I dont know about the rest of the staff, but I owe my body and soul to Eileen.

This place is FANTASTIC. Its absolutely gorgeous and all so delightful. The ambiance is very swell. I would suggest two hours and every upgrade possible! Although you could certainly get everything you need with a one hour. I got here with a splitting migraine. A few minutes into my massage it was better. By the time we left it was gone. The therapist at the counter had used the cbd lotion on my shoulders and neck before my massage and the therapist that did my massage used it again during my massage.Im taking off one star because we booked and prepaid for a 1 hour couples massage with hot stones, exfoliation, and reflexology but they didnt do the hot stones. We even upgraded with pressure points, scalp massage, and got the cbd lotion. Id suggest ensuring you get everything you paid for. Ensure your massage therapist knows what you got and gives it to you. Otherwise, one of the best places Ive been to.*had I known what he paid for ahead of time I would have spoke with someone but I just found out what was suppose to be in the deal as I was writing this review. Im also sure if we would have reminded them they would have taken care of it. I say that because when they forgot the scalp massage, I spoke up, and they did them right away.

This Spa is beautiful and tranquil. It is a great place to get a massage and/or facial. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The rates are also unbeatable. It is a bit tricky to find the location though so give yourself an extra ten minutes to find it on your first visit.

Not relaxing at all. Walked up and the door was locked. The lady who was there walked up and unlocked the door while in the midst of a heated phone conversation. I was not greeted. She told me to sign this and that and continued with her conversation. I was not shown the facilities, I was not asked if I wanted anything to drink. I had to ask her where the bathroom was. 15 minutes later a worker walked in. Once again, the door was locked so she knocked on the door. She was let in. She also did not speak, although I was the only client in the room. A few minutes later she came back to the front and told the front desk lady/owner she needed to speak with her. In the front, where I was, they discussed all the issues with scheduling and everything else in their business. It was totally messy.I heard her say “first of all, it was scheduled at the wrong time and the therapist won’t be able to do it.I was not offered water, was not seated, and was not shown or told anything about the facility. This place is far from a spa oasis. Don’t waste your time or money.

Someone bought me a massage for valentines Day. It is now almost July and I still haven’t gotten it. I’ve left several messages, I’ve emailed, and done all that I know to do. I was scheduled an appointment and when I showed up, there was a chain on the door. Nobody was there. Nobody bothered to call and let me know they were closed or they cancelled my appointment. Nobody still has tried to reach out to me after numerous attempts to reach them. I’m so upset. That’s the worst customer service and I’ve never written a bad review before this one. (And yes, they cancelled my first app. Due to the corona. But they rescheduled it and told me they were opened back up!)

My Mother and I went here for a mother daughter day and we had an amazing time. My mother really loved Jennifer she was AMAZING and nothing less! I loved Liz. We both had high expectations and they were met! When we got to the location we had a little mix up however the front desk was so kind and figured the perfect solution for us! Words can’t describe how amazing this place is!

I surprised my husband and took him there because he work so hard and it was the best we are going back every other weekend. Every body was so sweet and professional thanks so much see you guys soon.

Awesome massage will go again

I am disappointed with the visit my fiance and I had. We really needed a nice relaxing couples massage and he left in more pain than when he went in. What was supposed to be a stress relief for us to enjoy together turned into added stress. Here we are over a day after and he is in intense pain. He says he feels like he was in a car accident.

I made an appointment for a haircut and showed up early. Was asked to fill out a sheet while the lady talked to the other customers about CBD lotion. Turned in my form and I was told “Apparently the stylist is sick and not coming in today... I just texted her to see if she was on the way...”First, how do you not know your stylist is not at work for an appointment scheduled. And why did you wait until the ACTUAL APPOINTMENT TIME to find out where she is?I understand people get sick. But this is poor management. I will NEVER try to go there again.

I found Essentials Massage & Facial through Groupon so wasnt sure what to expect. However, Patricia, the owner, and her team quickly exceeded my expectations. I was treating a friend (and myself) to a Spa Day for her birthday, and they went above and beyond to make the day special. Everyone we came in contact with was both welcoming and professional. Our package included massages, facials, and pedis. We also added Detox and BEMER Therapy. All of which were absolutely amazing! My massage was one of the best Id ever experienced. I will definitely be back! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The facility was nice and the employees were nice and professional but my massage began late (after I arrived early) and cut short. I paid for a full hour massage and received a little less than 45 minutes which is 25% less than what I paid for. The therapist did a good job but didn’t go as hard as I would have liked after I communicated that she can go more rough.

Arnette was the best massage therapist ever. She made me feel so comfortable and really took the time to help alleviate my pain. My back and neck no longer hurt at all. I will definitely be back to see her. Thank you for such a great experience!!!

This is one of the worst companies to ever work for and get a massage from I was a front desk receptionist and Ms. Patricia Fields is one of the worst people To ever work with and I’ve ever met. She is a very rude and disrespectful individual. She talks down to people and is very entitled acting. She treated and talked to me like i was her dog. I never once disrespected her or harm her business. I was a very professional individual. I want all customers who go there to please know they are very messy and unorganized. She does not properly clean her Business especially during co-vid 19. like she should including bathroom, sheet cleaning, and more. She doesnt not sanitize any of the sheets that customers use, meaning you are being expose more to co-vid. Her business is very unorganized as she doesn’t believe in folding, cleaning up, making sure she is up to date with clients (she doesnt hire enought people). DO NOT GO HERE. YOU ARE BOUND TO GET CO-Vid. ONE OF THE THERAPIST HAS TESTED POSITIVE FOR Co-Vid and she still allows her to work with client. She is a very dirty person! DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS!!!! FRAUD!

Let me tell you how amazing Bernard my massage therapist was. Never again. Drove over an hour away to find out my appointment had been lost. I received not only a conformation email, but 2 text messages in the week leading up to my appointment as reminders. The front desk employee was clueless to what had happened, but stated that I need to do all the reviews online because, in her words, this has to stop. My appointment was 9/22 so I called Monday morning, first thing, clearly because I was upset, to have the phone just ring off the hook. Though to my surprise when I called from my work phone, wow, someone answered. The woman who answered the phone, Barb, was the employee who arranged my appointment. She obviously caught wind of what had happened the day before and did not want to speak to me. Finally spoke to the owner. She was very monotone and totally unapologetic. No customer service skills. She had no explanation, only that she would be addressing this issue with her staff. Dont waste your time, with the way this business is being ran, they will be shut down in no time.

I am sitting in the parking lot very upset. My husband and I scheduled a couples message. After signing in, the lady say that she apologize and can’t do our message because of booking. This place just put me in a bad space on my anniversary. Don’t schedule here. Especially if you are using Groupon. Excellent facial today by Liz. Last week I also had a wonderful massage. This was from a groupon but I am excited to come back.I have to say this was the first time I have been to a business for a massage and facial where they didnt push products or upcharge extras. I really felt they wanted me to feel relaxead and pampered.

I called in wanting to schedule a same day massage , due to a back issue that came up the past day and was scheduled and was taken care of , my masseuse Kristen was absolutely amazing , she listened to what was bothering me , and took care of it exactly , I left feeling immensely better than I did walking in ! I went in for a massage and facial back in March. Arnet (sp?) did my massage and I believe the woman that did my facial was named Rachel? Regardless, they were both awesome. The place looked iffy on the outside but they did a great job remodeling the inside! The prices were great as well. I will definitely be back!
