I’m not entirely sure why it’s hard to get in contact with anyone here. Been calling for two weeks and have left messages. Even called right as they opened. I still haven’t even received a response or a call back. I was recommended this place and now I guess I’ll have to go elsewhere.

Customer service care is outstanding. Kelly Anderson has been a remarkable addition to the store. Shes tops, in my mind, with hair color mixture and timing of it.In the 5 year experience , no issues. She is a truly talented asset. She can only go up. Thank you Anthonys.

I feel like a new woman! Gerri Ann is a friendly & amazing hairstylist! I am always afraid of haircuts due to bad experiences at OTHER salons. Anthonys 1558 put those fears to rest! Gerri Ann cut and styled my hair in ways I didnt even think my hair could! The color looks so natural even day 1! I moved to Jacksonville in July. Very picky about my hair colorist. Leighton did an amazing job! She took her time to figure out what I wanted and needed. Layton spent over 2 1/2 hours with me. She is very talented and highly recommend!

Allison has colored my hair for 16 years. I met her soon after I moved to Jacksonville when a woman from a different salon put too much ash on my blonde hair which tinted it green. An acquaintance recommended Allison. She knew exactly what to do to correct the color. Since then I have never let anyone else touch it. She colors my roots, highlights and lowlights. Other stylists in the salon consult her about their clients. She is a master colorist.

A wonderful place. Very open and welcoming. I received a massage. The therapist really worked out all my huge knots. Felt like a whole other person once we were finished

Im so glad to have found Anthonys et al! My stylist Steven D is the best! He recently did my hair for an event and professional stylists were coming up to me complimenting me on my cut and color. The staff does a nice job of scheduling and keeping everyone on time. I have never had to wait for more than a few minutes. They have a lot of products that are reasonably priced. Its very easy to get to, have a ton of parking, and are open 6 days per week.

I love having my hair done at Anthonys et al. Anthony has been cutting my hair for more years than I can remember. Hes great. And Nicole usually does my color and I love her so much. Always a great job. The product Nicole recommended for my hair, Stimulate-Me-Wash, is wonderful. It is always a pleasure to go to Anthonys salon.

Mrs. Holly took care of my 60 min Deep Tissue Message, and she was amazing👍👍👍. Great listener, and actually worked my back that was so tense my chiropractor (different company, who would not help me the day prior because of the tension) and Mrs. Holly deemed a bag of concrete to what now feels like play-dough😊. I will return hopefully weekly, and hope to refer as many friends and family, to this establishment as possible! Used Groupon and had a wonderful experience all around! The receptionist was very polite and very helpful to getting me back with a coupon/discount. It was great! 5 star all the way for me!

The absolute best my hair has ever looked. I came in with several issues and Nichole not only fixed a bad cut and color but was able to fix the continued issue of color grow out and silver roots. Its fresh and vibrant and I will never go anywhere else! Hands down the best salon in Jacksonville. With Nichole being the best stylist ever!!

I bought a Groupon for a prenatal massage at this spa and the day before my scheduled appointment I received a call that the massage therapist had an emergency and needed to reschedule. No problem. I then get a call the day before my new appointment time and they tell me that none of their therapists are licensed to do prenatal massage. To me, that is completely unprofessional. I won’t ever go back there.

I finally found an excellent salon that does everything! The hunt is over. I took my mom and my sister to Anthonys Saturday afternoon to get all of our hair done. Me and my sister had Emma and my mom had Lesley. Emma was fabulous, she did everything I wanted done to my hair, she was really sweet, and we had good conversation. My mom couldnt stop talking about Lesley, she had a great time with her. I will definitely be coming back & recommending this salon to anyone I see.

Steven has been cutting my hair for over 10 years. He is truly brilliant with a pair of scissors and a blow dryer. Just MAGIC. Ive recently transitioned from brunette to blonde and Im not sure Ill ever be brunette again. I love my new look so much! Its always a fabulous experience at Anthonys. Even if I have one of my children with me, everyone at the salon makes them feel right at home.

Steven is an absolutely amazing hair dresser who always takes excellent care of his clients. He has been an awesome stylist and friend to myself and my mom since 2006 (if not longer). I would follow him anywhere and Anthonys is a very nice and clean salon that is a pleasure to visit. Everyone is always friendly and helpful there. I would definitely recommend this salon and seeing Steven for your hair needs.

When I decided upon a short haircut, a co-worker told me I definitely should go to Nicole. Chelsea B. at Anthonys et al, is a miracle worker! Every time I go into see her for either a cut or color, I leave completely satisfied! She is very detailed oriented and makes sure that she has all the information she needs before she gets started on my hair to ensure I will leave with the style and color I went in for! She is very friendly and always smiling throughout the appointment! The rest of the staff at Anthonys is very similar, everyone is very friendly to guests as well as other staff members.

Best salon I have ever been to. The staff, the cleanliness, the products, makes me feel so good when I walk in. Always acknowledged. Busy salon but not noisy. Has a nice atmosphere. I love my stylist Bowen Barrs, he has transformed my hair and it is very difficult hair to color! I love leaving feeling confident and beautiful.

The place is very clean, staff is friendly. I got my eyebrows done by Violet with tweezers (Im allergic to wax) and she put a lot of attention to details and always talked to me to make sure to have them as I wanted... and they ended up PERFECT!!! I got my highlights and cut done by Ginny, she listened to me and added her professional recommendations, which I decided to follow and my hair ended up better than I could have imagine. I am so in-love with my new look!!! I will be coming back!

I had a great experience at Anthonys. I got highlights and a cut before my wedding and was extremely pleased. My stylist was awesome and I was treated really well as soon as I walked in the door.

The whole staff is very unprofessional. This establishment is not recommended. They are not organized and on the same page. They don’t have a full time massage therapist and don’t know when they will have one. They are very messy and expect receptionist to clean up after everybody in the shop. Please don’t waiste your time by going there.

1 star for the buisness....constant changes with appointments and 2 incidents after I arrived on my appointment date and time... they could not find me in the system. After I took time off work and did not get the appointment as schedule...Waste of time.FIVE STARS for the therspist... Anthony and Sandras offers many different types of services. They have massages and facials available. The experience is pleasant. The anesthetists really do a great job. They are friendly and welcoming.

Kenneth the massage therapist is absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend him. He is very thorough and has a healing touch and an awesome personality.

Im looking for a new regular massage therapist, as I am new to Jax. I do not reccomend this place because when you walk in you have to find the waiting room on your own, its very awkward. I arrived 8 minutes prior to my appointment time and ended up waiting 17 minutes past my appointment time to be brought back to the massage room. On top of that my massage was cut short by another 6 minutes. The massage therapist herself seemed to know what she was doing but the professionally of the place is a deterrent.

DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT HERE. I HAD A PRENATAL MASSAGE SCHEDULED A MONTH AGO AND THIS PLACE IS NOW CLOSED. NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME TO ADVISE WHAT IS GOING ON. I HAD TO CONTACT GROUPON TO GET A REFUND. THE PHONE NUMBER TO THIS LOCATION DOES NOT WORK AND THE LOCATION IS ABANDONED. THIS IS A BIG INCONVENIENCE. SMH.

Highly disappointed! They called multiple times the week of my prenatal massage appointment to either tell me they wouldn’t have a therapist, then to say they would but needed to change the time and then finally to confirm my appointment. I get there 15 minutes before my appointment to check in. 20 minutes past my appointment I mention I’m still waiting and come to find out the massage therapist is in the room playing on her phone. The table doesn’t have an opening for your belly so they said I would have to lay on my side with pillows. Turns out nobody grabbed the pillows out of storage! They wanted to reschedule again and make me drive almost an hour back tomorrow. I asked for my money back in return. Very disorganized and upsetting the weekend of my baby shower.

Literally had the worst experience. Came serval weeks ago, and waited for 30 minutes to then be told that the person who was supposed to be doing my facial wasn’t coming in. As an apology they decided to give my friend a free facial. We rescheduled our facials, and then after waiting 20 minutes were told the person who was supposed to do them was running late but would be their soon. We communicated our frustration and asked if the person wasn’t there by 10:30 we would like to get a refund, the person at the front desk offered to comp us massages if we decided to leave. When 10:30 came around and we decided to leave and get a refund the front desk person was nowhere to be found. We walked around looking for her, and tried calling multiple times. We wasted 2 Saturday mornings, didn’t receive our facials, and didn’t receive a refund. Most unprofessional place I’ve ever experienced.

Went in there not expecting much. Was really nervous because of never been there before and my request was really difficult. At first I wasnt too impressed, but once I reached the end of my visit I was speechless. My stylist not only gave me an amazing color, but she fixed a horrible hair cut I had received the day before. Im still extremely happy with my hair and I will be returning for any cuts and dying needs in the future. Amazing place, amazing people. Theyre all one big happy family.

I havent even had massage and Ive already had a bad experience. My husband purchased a groupon for me as a valentines gift (60 minute prenatal massage) and I was finally able to schedule it for the end of May. I was called a couple days before my massage and told that someone had double booked multiple clients and that I was one of the . I was asked to reschedule and for the inconvenience, they would add an additional 30 minutes onto my time. No big deal, I was rescheduled about 2 and a half/3 weeks later. I get another call the day Im scheduled for my massage and told the massage therapist isnt feeling well and that Im going to have to reschedule yet agai . When I mentioned that I was supposed to be scheduled for a 90 minute session due to having to reschedule in the first place, the receptionist said that it wasnt noted and that she would then have to move my time up a bit so they could honor that for me. At this pouch, Im starting to get frustrated. I realize that life happens and things come up, so I decided to roll with it. So Im scheduled 2 days later and told that she had to move some things around for me and everything was set. I get to the salon today (the day of my appointment) and head to the restroom really quickly (pregnancy problems) and when I come out, Im told to fill out the standard paper on the clipboard. I get half was through the sheet and a woman comes up with a smile and tells me there has been some confusion/a mistake with the schedule and that she doesnt have me scheduled today and that she has no one to give me a massage. I tell her that I was scheduled today and that this is the second time Ive been reschedule and that we just scheduled this appointment on Monday. She goes to her computer for a few minutes then calls my name and asks me to come over to the desk. She then tells me that my appointment is in a different color which means its been canceled and that she has no one here right now to perform my massage and that Ill have to be rescheduled, again. After about 10 minutes or so of going back and forth on scheduling, she offers a time next week (that doesnt quite fit my work schedule) and then the next appointment she offers me is 4 weeks from now. She tells me that shes working on her days off to accommodate the additional requests and that theyre pretty much booked solid for weeks/months. I go ahead and take the appointment for next week (because Im not able to make the one 4 weeks from now, almost 2 months from my original appointment) and remind her that the first time I was offered an additional half hour for the inconvenience. She looks at me and then back at the schedule and has a look on her face that tells me that I was not given the additional time in their books or notes. After a new seconds, she says okay, I have you scheduled for a 75 next Wednesday. At this point Im so frustrated and done that I dont have the time and energy to argue that 60+30 doesnt equal 75. Ive already spent 15-20 minutes for my appointment to have been canceled without anyone attempting to contact me and over half an hour driving out to the salon (then another 40 minutes driving home). To say Im frustrated is an understatement. They apologized for the confusion but seemed to act like it was no big dea . After all of this mess, I wasnt offered any additional time, services or even the additional 30 minutes I was offered the first time I was rescheduled. I guess well see how the actual massage is next week.

Ill start by saying I am not one to leave reviews, but I feel that this one is necessary. Highly disappointed in this massage. I semi-regularly get massages, and if I see a good Groupon deal, I usually will try it out. When I showed up to the spa, it was very awkward and not welcoming. I sat in the waiting room and could hear the receptionist tell my massage therapist that I was there, then heard her nearly yell well Im not ready (I was a few minutes early, but obviously didnt mind waiting)... I thought that was unprofessional. Then she came into the waiting room, said my name, and handed me a piece of paper and pen. No clipboard. Didnt tell me to please fill this out as I would have expected. Again, unprofessional and unwelcoming. When she finally calls me back to the room, I was disappointed in the ambiance. The lights were totally on, no soothing music, no essential oil smells or anything. Just a room, with a massage table that had what I would not call even decent sheets/blankets on it. She very awkwardly asked so why are you here? and I could tell she didnt pay attention to my client form. She also felt the need to share that the staff doesnt even get services at the Groupon rate and she hadnt had a massage in months. Unprofessional. During the massage, her phone went off a few times that was playing the music which I didnt love. The massage itself was okay, but I definitely did not feel relaxed. Afterwards, I got dressed, and when I opened the door I didnt see her, so I just walked towards the front desk. Usually I would expect some water or something? As Im walking down the hall I hear her say Hey! and look over to her lounging in one of the shampoo chairs and she just said how do you feel and I said good (to be polite) then I just felt uncomfortable not knowing if she was going to get up and walk me to the front desk, if I was supposed to walk myself, it was all just very odd, and yet again, unprofessional. Then to top it all off, I got to the receptionist (the therapist did not get up and walk me there) and as I mentioned, I had a Groupon. He told me that I owed $18 and I told him that I dont think thats right, since I already bought my Groupon and had provided the number when I scheduled my appointment, and had the Groupon up on my phone as well. He had NO idea how to handle this, and all I wanted to do was leave my tip and get out of there. Finally the other massage therapist (Holly I believe - based on reviews I feel that I may have had a better experience if she did my massage) helped me and I was done. I would not recommend going here. From the atmosphere, to the professionalism, to the service, it is not worth it. I am glad I paid at the Groupon rate and not the full price.

I received a gift facial through Groupon, which I enjoyed very much. I added on an eyebrow waxing, but should have asked the price first.... I thought $18 was rather high for that. Or, perhaps Im just frugal.

So I booked my appointment more than a week ago and told them what I want. I want color, cut and style. Like a balyage! Came in there today and was told that theres a booking issue! That i was booked for an hour and half only and the stylist said thats NOT ENOUGH TIME and told me sorry that she wont be able to do it today. Im moving to orlando very soon and all I wanted is to fix my hair before I move. And this how I got treated. So. No! If you wanna go here make sure they booked you right. Like how as a customer will know how long its gonna take?! Oh. Booked me for 3 hours at least! Just No! Thanks for nothing!

Absolutely horrible. They refuse the refund me after Ive showed them what went wrong. My hair wasnt highlighted properly. Thick and thibg highlights. The top half is blonder then the bottom portion below it. There is a distincted line between the two. The other half of my head barley has any highlighting at all. I dont not want them to touch my hair to try and fix it. Worst experience.

I know Anthonys has been a part of the Jacksonville community for some time which attracted me to their salon but my initial experience with them was so awful, I will not be pursuing their services. My friend and I purchased two Groupons for hair cut, style, and highlights, we scheduled our hair appt a week in advance. The DAY OF our appointment (2 hours prior) they called to cancel citing one stylist being out sick and the other, magically that day, was no longer with them. They did not offer to accommodate us that day and made me reschedule for another day which I could not do at that point; I was so flabbergasted. We had an event to attend the night of our appointment and had to scramble to find other plans for our hair plus pay more money out of pocket due to their negligence. They only had two stylist (now one) that accepts the Groupon so buyer beware. I feel they acted unethically and unprofessionally and they lost two new potential customers.Follow up: While I appreciate the reply, I was told by whomever called me to cancel our appt that there was only ONE stylist who would accept the Groupon and that this stylist worked every other Saturday which is really the only day of the week we would be able to come. If there is more than one stylist who takes the Groupon, why wasnt that communicated to us when you cancelled or why wasnt there some effort made to have us be seen that day, even for a partial service? The story is not adding up here. This is the type of disorganization that leads me to be cautious about making this my go-to salon. Thank you.

This place was my worse nightmare- went there with long beautiful healthy smooth straight hair and walked out with damaged hair, burn scalp and tangled hair (half of my hair) like a hard ball and orange dish highlight instead of ash platinum.I walked out of there CRYING, I could not believe it . I went home my family could not believe this happened to my hair at a hair salon, they wanted to call a police and make a report because a licensed salon and hairdresser should not do something like this to a customers hair. I trusted this place with my hair, my worse mistake. lost my hair due to tangled hair like a ball because this lady washed my hair so harsh, I have smooth straight hair and never had issued with my hair. the leave products for so long burn my scalp . UNPROFASSIONAL and UNTRUSTFULLY !

I honestly wont even give them a 1 star. I got a groupon for a keratin treatment when i went to the appointment apparently is not really what the groupon video said it was. I told the hairdresser i wanted the one that last a few months and she told me i needed a Brazilian blowout. That is priced $250 and i paid for the keratin $79. If i wanted the brazililian blowout i had to pay $150 extra. So i decide not to do it, but they had redeemed my groupon already. So they gave me a credit for anything at the salon. So since school is starting i took my 12yr daughter for a back to school deep conditioning, ends trim and blow dry. The results were horrible. It looks like a 5yr old blow dry her hair. Before leaving i asked the lady at the front desk if that was the end result and she said yes cause my daughters hair is curly( My daughters hair is soft curls, i will say more wavy than curls and very thin) and because she had the deep conditioning it was extra healthy. Ive been going to salons for 20 yrs to do the same thing my daughter had and we both have the same hair type and i have never had such a bad job. I dont have a hairdresser license and i do her hair 100 times better. Worst salon experience ever. Never again.

I came into Anthony & Sandras Spa not knowing what to expect. I had had my hair done 3 days prior and HATED it. There was not a single redeeming thing the previous stylist had done to my hair. Before walking into the previous salon I had waist length vibrant red hair (that desperately need colored). When I walked out my one inch trim turned into a six inch choppy (unblended) layered mess. My color was no longer the vibrant beautiful color that the previous colorist and I had selected but a very dark auburn splotchy wreck that had more splotches in it than a cheetah and definitely not a lot of red. Not to mention it wasnt even the color I had selected. Ive honestly colored my hair better than that stylist had. I was able to get an appointment the day I called with ONeil. When I came in I was greeted by a receptionist with very cute short red spiky hair, (sorry I dont remember her name!) She made me feel very welcome and showed me around the salon and spa areas. When I met with O Neil she listened to my whole sob story about my hair and look through it herself, needless to say she agreed with what I had to say. I did have to lose about another half inch off the length to even my hair out but I have NEVER had a better haircut then the one she gave me. Before trying out the previous mentioned salon I had been going to the same stylist since I was 16 but moved and ONeils cut even out did my old beloved stylist! ONeil was such a easy person to talk with and very sweet. I really enjoyed getting to know her. I will be coming back in about a week (after my horrible color fades a little) to get my color fixed with her and I cant wait. I can honestly say that Ive never looked this forward to get my hair colored! Thank you so much ONeil!
