My #1 dentist 🦷… if you need (a dentist) that takes care of you (even @ 2 am) this is the one for you… the staff are wonderful and friendly and Dr. Martinez is so caring (and I’m not just saying it because he’s my dr) and thoughtful… most important, he listens to you. So, call and make a appointment and see for your self.

I did not have a pleasant visit in today, as well as my prior visit. I believe Dr. Martinez is very knowledgeable about what he do but lacks people skills. He comes off as rude and arrogant when asking or giving feedback. That makes me feel very uncomfortable as a patient. He tries to get patients in and out without making sure they are comfortable with the procedure. Rushing to finish a job is unprofessional to me.. I dont like to be rushed while receiving treatment and thats exactly what he does.Each time I have been there, Ive seen Dr. Martinez move fast. He needs to be more considerate and apologetic when patients experience a discomfort while in his care.He refers to patients by calling them kiddos, to me thats unprofessional. I was very disappointed with my treatment today.

This was the second time I’ve been to Martinez Dental and I can say that both times have been amazing. I, like a lot of people, have a fear of dentists but everyone here made me feel very comfortable! Christy in the office explained what a full mouth Debridement is, which I was nervous about but after speaking with her I felt better about having it done. She was an absolute pleasure to speak with! My hygienist, Meagan was very understanding of my anxiety and was absolutely amazing! She took her time and made sure I was comfortable through the entire process, which in the end was easier than I imagined. I go back in 30 days for the second part and I am actually looking forward to it, I love how clean my teeth feel! I called after being referred by a coworker, to get more information and to see if they accept my insurance. The person who answers tell me that they absolutely accept my insurance, and that they had an opening that just popped up. I left work to sit for an hour and a half waiting for this opening. After a five minute visit, Dr. Martinez tells me that I need $5,000 of work and that his assistants will get me scheduled and get my payment set up. I tell him that I needed to think. I get to the front and the receptionist tells me that I owe them money. She then lies to me, saying that she didnt say over the phone that this visit would be covered by my insurance, but that some of it would. A few weeks later, I get the rest of the bill. Over this entire time, Im getting blasted with calls reminding me that I needed to schedule a follow up. I go to get a second opinion and after we went through the X-rays in detail, I then told him what Dr. Martinez said, to which he said, absolutely not. *** In response to the post made on 8/8 by Martinez Dental Solutions: My issue is that the front desk person misled me to get me into the office. I had been calling around to find a dentist that my insurance would cover. She said, without caveats and after I asked her to please make sure, that my visit would be covered. I had no intention of going to the dentist that day. I was working and left work early because she said that there was an opening at that moment. I spent over an hour on your couch instead an hour being paid at work. She lied to me (that is harsh but I dont know how else to say it), telling me that she qualified her response about insurance coverage on the phone by say that some of it would be covered. She absolutely did not say that. After insisting that I was listening carefully, asked her specifically to verify, and would not have come in if my insurance might have covered it, she responded in a very condescending way, saying the same thing. And I have the treatment plan. I will scan it and post it as a picture here. I should also scan and send you what I paid for my new dentist to do x-rays, since your office did not provide me with my x-rays when I called and asked the person who answered the phone to email them (well in advance, before you suggest that I didnt give enough notice). I told my new dentist that I would rather pay him extra money than to have to communicate with your office again. On your supposed treatment plan, I brought it into my new dentist, who was disappointed to say the least that I had been told that I needed that much work. He actually told me roughly the same thing that the dentist I had seen at the end of 2016 had told me about my teeth. And I am still not sure why harassing people like debt collectors to get them to complete their treatment plan is a way of business for you. You called me weekly to get me to come in. I have never dealt with a medical professional who has hounded me like you have. I can procure and post my phone records here to back that up.

My name is Liliana Parodi. I just come from the doctor Jose Martinez.I had a very bad experience with him.First of all, I told him I was feeling nervous and he said me too which is terrible for any doctor to say to a new patient or any patient in general. Next, when he was putting the anesthesia with the syringe needle, he was shaking my lips so hard ( no dentist did this the way he did it) after that he was very rough on my tooth that even with anesthesia I felt pain. I also told him that I had a brain aneurysm prior and had to tell him again that I am very sensitive to noise so he can move the suction from my mouth that the noise was bothering me and he got mad. It seems like he doesnt care to read the new patient forms or in what I have to say. My daughter that was with me in the room told me that she saw a lot of blood when he was drilling, I felt it too. He did not care that I have TMJ pain when I open my mouth too hard or for a long time. He is not compassionate. I will never come back here and I wish I knew how he was. Miami was my town and I had a dentist there, she was excellent as a dentist and overall person being compassionate as well as a great listener. Unfortunately I dont know people here or doctors since I am relatively new in town.

I have been a patient here since I was 10 years old (2007) and I absolutely love it here! The entire staff is as friendly as can be and everything is so very clean! They are very willing to work with you on whatever issues you may have, whether it be rescheduling an appointment on very short notice or having a lack of dental insurance. Dr. Martinez checks all of his patients at the end of each appointment to ensure everything went well, even if it was only a routine cleaning. They got me in within 2 days after I broke a tooth despite me being a new patient. Other offices I contacted couldnt see me for two weeks. Everyone was very nice and Dr. Martinez did a root canal and a temporary crown that day so I was taken care of. Would recommend!

After a procedure, you dont go around all day drooling....because he knows how much it takes to numb you and make you comfortable....I need extra to numb me, and he is so good, I have never felt any pain, and hes so concerned about that, he asks you and actually cares that you dont feel any pain during and after the appointment!! Since moving to Jacksonville I finally found a Dentist!!! I have to get a root canal and I felt Zero pain while I was getting work done and no pain after the Novocaine wore off. I have been a patient since 2009. For me the patient, Dental work is never fun. I wanted someone that I could trust to not gouge my pocket and to help me keep my teeth . I chose them because of the wide variety of treatments that were offered under one roof. Periodontal work, root canals, implants, and extractions are done in the office. Dr. Martinez and staff have always been friendly, concerned, and professional. They have the latest equipment and techniques in a clean and lean dental setting. Imagine yourself at a late afternoon movie. The previews are over and you decide to delve into the ridiculously expensive snacks you purchased at the concession stand -- specifically, milk duds. You pop one piece and begin to chew, but then, with the release of your jaw...a ten year-old filling in one of your back molars comes free! The pain is excruciating and you need help immediately. Enter, Dr. Martinez and his staff at Southpoint Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry. From the reception staff to the treatment room, the staff was helpful and compassionate -- a rare find considering that by the time I got there, it was 4:30 PM -- and did I mention this happened on a FRIDAY? Kristen, the practice manager, worked to fit me in to the doctors schedule. The front desk staff was expecting me when I got there. Sasha, the assistant in the treatment room, was fabulous and helped to keep me calm -- a difficult task since, lets be honest, who enjoys emegency dental procedures? -- not me! Dr. Martinez was extremely kind and gentle. Oddly, I cant wait to go back for my follow-up appointment in two weeks. Seriously, its true. The office is beautiful and conveniently located -- although I would drive anywhere to get to Dr. Martinez at this point. It is hard to find a good dentist, especially one with a staff as great as his. If you need a dentist, call them. You wont be disappointed.

I would not recommend him to anyone !!!! I went in for an exam He said he needs to pull a toothAnd then do a crown extension on 2 teeth so he could put a bridge on so he says here is what you will have to pay if the insurance company pays .I tell them wait until they get the reply from the insurance company so he says well I can redo a crown right now when I had more serious issues with my teeth (was unemployed no dentist in 2 years)So I go to Dr Karol he does an exam and says the tooth does not need to be pulled just do a crown extension then put on a crown do you people understand he could have done the crown extension and save a tooth rather than pull it and put a bridge on .Then his office has the nerve to call me 6 months later saying they were ready to do the dental work they had told me it would only take 2 weeks to hear yes or no from the insurance company yet they call me 6 months later when all the work is done. Dr. Martinez is simply the best dentist I have ever had! His staff is wonderful as well. I have never had any experience but a good one while in the office.

Not only has Dr. Martinez helped me out of my fear of dentists, which this review is LONG overdue for, but the office was able to see my adult son on an emergency basis to remove a wisdom tooth that was the source of extreme pain for him. I used to fear the dentist, but now have no issues knowing the staff and dentist are going to ensure that I am comfortable throughout any procedure.Thank you!

This is the best place ever. Im scare all the time but the Dr. Always make the way to calm me down yes Im a 33 yrs old guy and i have fovia to dentist. But she remove two molars and i even feel nothing. She have an angel hand.
