The staff is ALWAYS great at both locations Huntsville & Madison. I visited Huntsville on yesterday. Everybody there is super friendly & very helpful. I did not see Dr. Griffin only in the hallway & of course he spoke to me. I saw Kyle, he is great also. Im glad one of the local doctors( in the Florence area) kept brushing me off not wanting to do my hip replacement 3 years ago because he did not know what to do. He was blaming my weight. I am heavier now & there were no ifs ands or buts. My knee surgery has been scheduled. Dr. Griffin took me in did my hip replacement & I have NOT had any problems out of my hip.

I broke both bones in my arm just below the wrist, horrible full break at the nub... fully healed and I am thrilled I don’t need the hardware removed as I have full movement and use of my arm/wrist! And I have arthritis! Their therapists are Wonderful!

I was seen by Dr. Griffin to discuss the removal of hardware in the right ankle. I had broken my foot completely loose from my leg in 2007 , I went to the ER at Guntersville/Arab hospital and was transferred to Huntsville for further treatment. I had surgery there and Dr. Griffin put plates, pins and screws in the ankle. I was seen yesterday by him, 13 years later to discuss having that removed. After talking about the procedure we decided to go ahead with the surgery. He was awesome and very understanding about everything !!! He and the staff there were great !!! Wish me luck !!! Could enough good be said about Dr Griffin? I think not. Dr Griffin first performed emergency/trauma surgery on my left leg/knee in 2004 to repair a mangled mess I was with after being hit head on by a drunk driver while he was attempting to elude the police at over a radar clocked 100 mph, I was set on cruise at 65 mph, night time, drunk driver turns car headlights off and enters my opposite lane of travel thus resulting in this horrific collision.I was flown to Huntsville Main and awaiting my arrival was Dr Griffin and several other trauma physicians/surgeons.I was a very sick man and the probability of my life continuing beyond that evening did not look good at all because of the extensive injuries that I received however, Dr Griffin got my leg stabilized and because of hospital protocol he had to wait for @ 1-1/2 weeks when I came out of the coma to begin actually putting my leg back together. I was told later that there was talk of amputation while I lay in the coma because the femur was literally shattered above the knee and the knee joint was basically crushed but Dr Griffin decided to give it a chance knowing that even if that first meticulous surgery went well, several other surgeries would have to follow in order to eventually attain the desired results.Dr Performed a total of 4 other surgeries on that knee/leg over the next several years and each surgery left my knee and leg in much better shape than is was before. Dr Griffin has done an outstanding work with my situation and even though the initial outlook was somewhat grim because of the damage to the knee and leg received in the accident along with the extensive damages to the rest of my body Dr Griffin was not discouraged, he worked diligently to repair the damages as if I were his very own family member and for that and for the ability I gained from Dr Griffin’s dedication, professionalism and his inexhaustible skills set to have my leg that I can look down at when I wake up each morning while knowing my leg probably would not be there if not for this awesome man.I am eternally grateful to God that men such as David Griffin are still walking among us. May he and his family be forever blessed.Thank you kindly.

I fell off a ladder in October 2012 and lucked out because Dr Griffin was the ER trauma surgeon on call that night. It was a bad fall and a worse broken leg. Many warned me that some people never walk after such an injury. After surgery, Griffin was quite stern about recovery instructions - that I followed to a T, and was out of the wheelchair in 5 months! Full recovery took longer, but I was on my way! X-rays when I fell showed that I was in need of knee replacements but he would not discuss that until 2 years after the break. I delayed a few more years and then begged Dr Griffin to replace my knees - I knew I wanted ONLY Griffin to do them. He replaced the first one early 2017, and the second late 2017. I developed a drug allergy, but am doing great. Griffin Is The Best Surgeon EVER! He works to understand your situation, does FANTASTIC WORK (his mattress sutures truly disappear after 4 years), he provides clear instructions, makes you follow-up, and he stays on top of his patients progress indefinitely. Im glad hes much younger than I and hope he does not retire in my lifetime. I recommend Dr David B Griffin to EVERYONE and know others are aware of his expertise. When in his waiting room (and waits can be long - he does get emergencies - like me), I have met patients of his who fly in to see him from California and Florida. Popular Guy! AMAZING SURGEON!

I think Dr.Griffin is the best at what he does. I’ve had 2 hip replacements and everything went extremely well. Very short recovery. Excellent physical therapy at TOC. PS I love his staff. Kyle is awesome!! I would and do recommend him to anyone!!

They remembered my child and they made her feel so special. The young man who calls people to the back really made our experience exceptional. He asked what was wrong with my daughter while checking out (nothing major just pouting) she said she wished they had a play area on both sides. He then replied what’s better than a play area a toy chest. He escorted her to the toy chest and really made her day. I thought that was like top notch customer service of I ever seen it before. Very great experience!

Needed surgical repair of torn quadracept tendon; surgery went without incident and Im in good shape except for continuing rehab. Good result; I recommend the TOC and Dr. Griffen.

Doctor Griffin, and the TOC staff, saved my leg, August 2019. Dr. Griffin, was the trauma surgeon on duty at Huntsville Hospital when, I was brought in with a contact gunshot wound, to my left femur (upper thigh bone), two inches above the knee. The femur was shattered at the bullets impact point and, the femur was broken into three pieces. Dr. Griffin, patiently cleaned out the gunshot wound, inserted a titanium rod, the same length as the femurs interior length into my femur. Then, over the next four hours, Dr. Griffin patiently pieced, screwed and pinned together, the fragmented bone pieces. I was told by other doctors, that had it been any other surgeon, Id have probably lost my leg. Over the past six months, with Dr. Griffins support, and the talented staff at the TOC Physical Therapy Unit in Madison, Ive progressed from wheelchair to walking frame, to walking cane, and finally, on 02/04/2020, I can walk without the need of any aids whatsoever. I cant find the adequate words, that shows my appreciation and thanks, to Dr. Griffin and the staff at the TOC, for their skills, dedication, and compassion, in my remarkable recovery. May God Bless them all.
