I had to have an emergency appointment because one of my front caps fell out two nights ago and Dr. Brians staff was able to fit me in for an early Friday opening. I didnt sit more than 5 minutes in the waiting room when Julio called me in and instantly had x-rays done. Dr. Brians detailed explanation of letting me keep my old cap vs. getting a new one wasnt a hard decision and I settled for a new one which was instantly done in their office. Sure, it was expensive and took about 2 hours, but it was worth it to me. Matt did a great job of cutting the tooth from the mold and made an exquisite replica of my old cap but better! Dr. Brian fitted in the new cap and now I have my smile back! This was my second visit to this dentistry and not only was the first visit a success, but so was this one! All of the staff were courteous, helpful and took great care of me in my situation. Kudos to all of them!

Recently, I had cracks on one of my molars so an onlay was recommended as a less aggressive and cheaper alternative to save my tooth. The dentist Brian Nguyen and his assistance Matt worked diligent to ensure the onlay fits perfect. The process was tedious. At the end, the onlay felt natural on my tooth - not too big and not too small. Now that is called quality work. They did it once and did it right.I have been a patient at Beach Dental Group for a few years now and I have no complaints. Quality people, quality work. Thank you Beach Dental!

I love beach dental group! from the moment you arrive you are greeted with friendliness and kindness. Marie and Rey, who sit up front, are always very nice and helpful. Matt, my fav. dental assistant, is the bomb - hes hilarious, quick, and totally knows what he is doing! Dr. Brian is the best! He is super gentle (even when numbing up the area he is going to work on), funny, understanding, kind, and patient. I loved coming to see them and actually didnt mind them working on my teeth at all, I knew whatever I needed to have done Matt and Dr. Brian were going to take great care of me. Dr. Magar is one of the coolest the dentist Ive met. The staff is very friendly. I finished my treatments and made monthly payments. I made my last payment last month and 4 days later i get a dam bill for $700 dollars and of course no ones know why? I was told it was a system mistake and come to find out it’ was there mistake and I didn’t pay which makes no sense when it was being taking from my checking directly. So when I thought i paid off my bill, i am NOW BLINDED SIDED owning another $300. I will pay it and will not return. I so upset and confused. I guess it will help for there new systems. Make sure you review what your being charged!!

The service here was AMAZING and exceeded my expectations! I was able to get two crowns put in along with having a thorough tooth cleaning all in one day. Dr. Magar is highly skilled and compassionate about his work. Matt, his assistant took care of my every need to make sure I was in comfort and prepared for the doctor. Christian, the hygenist was incredibly thorough and genuine. Rey, the general manager was wonderful in explaining the costs with excellent communication skills. Thank you team for truly helping me feel sooooooo much better today!

The absolute best dentist Ive ever been to! These people really care here. Lets face it no one likes going to the dentist, but the experience I received here was top notch. I had a tooth extracted with bone grafting. The Dentist helped me find a financial plan to help my needs and the healing process after this procedure was quicker than expected because he was so good. Extremely satisfied and would recommend! Thank you again Beach Dental for being so kind and patient with me during that difficult time

Gave this group several chances and they failed to deliver decent service. Every time I showed up they somehow did not have a dental hygienist scheduled. EVERY TIME. They just wanted to x-ray and exam my teeth and then return to clean my teeth. They constantly tried to upsell me and quoted me more than 2 x what my dentist quoted me for work. Do not recommend these used car salespeople acting as dentists.

Sadly I give them a star for the staff who are friendly but the dental service is bad dentists are practitioners who come to learn there and do mediocre jobs with many mistakes and others correct them and apart from that they charge you and the insurance as well... lucky they have not been sued and closed that place yet.

Please stay away and look elsewhere if your looking for ethical dental services. I have contacted the Dept. Of Consumer Affairs , Ca. Dental Board and insurance in hope they really keep this place on their rader from Ray the office mgr to the head dentist ( Dr. marcos magar).Long story long. In the decades Ive lived here, Ive used the services here a few times for basic cleanings, etc. Despite my mom saying, I wouldnt let my dog get her teeth cleaned here. Referring to a bad exerience with Magar in the past. I always wondered why their were new dentists each time i arrived. Now I know why!On 091620, i needed treatment for a cracked tooth and was bummed my former dentist (Alexander Nguyen) was gone and nobody wanted to share why he was no longer there. It was only because of him that I took a leap of faith to have the head dentist (Magar) provide the treatment. After x-rays, the stoic office mgr. Ray, showed me the treatment plan, which consisted of a $400.00 night guard and 550.00 (out of pocket) partial crown. I told Ray i couldnt afford the night guard, but to proceed with the partial crown. Dr. Magar came in, performed the treatment and afterwards (as he was walking out the door) turned around and said: I cant guarantee the work if you dont get the (400.00) night guard. I replied: so your not confident in your work? He said, (paraphrased) I do, but you bite down and thats what caused the tooth to crack. I told him i couldnt afford the night guard and he walked away.After treatment, i immediately researched night guards and found a highy recommended one by dentists at CVS at a fraction of the costs and have worn it consistently.Fast forward....i went to visit my son out of state almost one month afterwards. During my trip, the damn crown fell out. I was fortunate to find a great dentist in Houston and he fixed me up. I told him the story and he shook his head and concurred with me that Dr. Magars post- treatment admonishment was nothing short of being unethical.I attempted to handle this at the lowest level and give this office the benefit of the doubt to obtain reimbursement for the shotty work. I knew magar was not going to own up to his lousy work and I was right.My goal here is not about malice or revenge, etc...its about standing up for others who expect to be treated in an ethical manner and not like a mark for financial gain.

Dr. Magar and his staff provided exceptional dental treatment and service. My inlay feels fantastic and in a couple of hours they were able to do all my much needed dental work. Thank you! Never had a better experience at a dentist.

I am not sure why all the bad reviews. But, you can’t please everyone. Anyways- I love Dr. Magar and his staff. They are always nice and friendly. I never had an issue otherwise. If you want cheap service. Go else where—this dentist office is top notch service and I wouldn’t ask for any better service! The fact that they can make me a tooth within the hour(on my lunch hour) is amazing and worth every penny and my time!!! I hate going to the dentist. So the fact that I’m comfortable with him says something. I’ll be going here til I die cuz I don’t like anyone else :)

I do not recommend this dental group. I felt uncomfortable sensation when I drank cold water. They told me that I need root canal. They sent me to some dentist near Pomona, he performed root canal on the tooth next too tooth I had uncomfortable sensation on. Then I came back to them for the crown. They were surprised that different tooth had root canal job done. They promptly made me sign medical release in order for me not to sue them for performing root canal on the healthy tooth. Three years later I had to redo the crown on tooth they were working on. I never went back to them.

Absolutely horrendous. This place runs like a used car dealership. Doctor Magar provided some of the worst medical care I have ever received, he overcharged and underserved. The $1500 unbreakable crown they sold me broke within the first second it went in my mouth. Doctor Magar also shaved down my healthy surrounding teeth to force fit the crown. Isnt a Dentists job to care for healthy teeth?? How is that the right thing to do??Ray from the front desk is vile. He charged my insurance for a service I never received. It maxed out my benefits and I could not get coverage from any other competent dental place until he refunded my insurance. I called again and again and again and it took them WEEKS to correct their mistake and they acted like they did me a favor. Ray also had the nerve to tell me after weeks of ignoring me that he was worried about my tooth above all else. Is that why you never called to check in on me or fix your FRAUDULENT charge.The staff is also simply put just not that good.Some may be very friendly but their skills are mediocre. Don’t trust your TEETH in any of their hands!BEWARE! SAVE YOUR TEETH, MONEY AND SELF-RESPECT BY GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE. Trust the reviews!!

Used to be a good place. Not now. I don’t do X-rays cause I don’t need having radiation shot in my brain or my kids brains when our teeth are perfectly healthy. I was publicly humiliated by the dentist yelling at me in the waiting room. Then they only cleaned my kids teeth with no exam. I’ll never go there again

The office manager Ray is terrible and absolutely unprofessional. Avoid the headache of trying to do anything with this office and pay a bit more and go with the next office available. Their turnover rate for the dentists is extremely high so chances are you wont have continuity of care anyway.

I had not been to the dentist in several years. Having chipped 2 front teeth I called Beach Dental who were able to see me the next day. Dr Magar remembered my name, the name and type of my business and asked me about my family.The service was outstanding, staff friendly and Dr Magar very reasonable and honest in the condition of my oral health. I knew I needed a new crown and cleaning also. I was able to have all 3 procedures completed in the same day saving me missing time from work and preventing returning for several visits. Dont misunderstand this is a busy office, however I believe Dr Magu runs a very good business. I recommend Beach Dental to anyone seeking to locate a honest dentist.

I stopped going here after being a patient for nearly a decade.I needed to get some fillings redone, and I was told that my insurance doesnt cover it and I would have to pay out of pocket for that. They offered a payment plan and I agreed to that, but found out that my insurance covers it and canceled the appointment. Not only did my insurance cover that, but if I wanted to upgrade the fillings I could if I pay the difference for what my insurance covers.Also, when I started going to a new dentist, they told me that I do not have periodontal disease which is what Beach Dental Group told me I had.I do not trust them and will not go back.

I really want to give them a good review because everyone who works there is very nice, but their dental expertise has left me very concerned.I was visiting the area and knew I was due for a deep dental cleaning. I joined their smile dental plan (approx $110/year plus a $20 starting fee.) to save money on the deep cleaning.The dentist suggested I get 2 crowns replaced. I didn’t think either crown was that old, but I trusted the dentist and had the crowns redone. My first visit for the crowns and cleaning took a good 3 hours. They kept assuring me that they wanted everything perfect so they were being very thorough with my crowns.I returned the following week to have the permanent crown placed (which should be about a 15 minute appt) when the dentist explained that he would need to give me novocaine again to work on the crown prep. He mentioned they had been having a problem with their machine that makes the crowns. Why they would continue to make crowns when they knew their equipment was not working properly, does not make sense to me. This 2nd appointment took another 3 hours.The dentist felt so bad he offered to make me a free mouth guard for my inconvenience. They said they would have both the mouth guard and 2 crowns ready by the next day which meant a third visit.Upon arriving at the office for my 2 crowns and mouth guard I was told they needed to redo my mouth guard due to a machine malfunction. I about lost my mind.Again I returned to the office for the mouth guard. I tried it on and explained that I didn’t think it fit right. The dental assistant replied, well, at least this is an extra one for you. The professional expertise was just not present from start to finish. I will never return.

I applaud you guys for your wonderful attempt to over-charge me and then withhold treatment if I dont pay extra. I have never experienced a Used Car Lot strategy in such a professional environment before.Excellent execution to take advantage of trusting and vulnerable local citizens.

Strongly recommend this dentist in HB. I don’t usually write reviews but this team of individuals that serve patients deserve the effort.Every step of the experience was professional and favorable yet also personable and welcoming, from entrance to exit.At first, I thought “11 google reviews... I don’t know if this is a good establishment or not.” Now, I’m convinced that it is better than good. It’s great! I’m going to send my family and friends here. I’ve lived all over in the US and outside of the US. Best dentist I’ve ever had.So this is review #12 and I say it’s a great dentist in HB.

I had a case of receding gums that exposing the roots of 3 teeth causing sensitivity, and I received a referral to this dental group from my insurance provider for a gum graft procedure. Dr. Jae Choi is the periodontist who is contracted by this dental group for specialty care who handled my case. I went in for my procedure, and Dr. Choi did an great job in explaining to me what will happen (I watched a video outlining the procedure, she showed me few samples of her previous patients and results); she really put me at ease and gave me confidence in being her patient. The procedure was quite involved and took approximately 1.5 hrs. From what I can tell she worked swiftly and gently, and she minimized any discomfort during the procedure. She also provided excellent customer service in any follow up concerns I had post surgery. Thank you for your excellent care Dr. Choi and supporting staff (Juan, Lizette, and others who assisted in my surgery)!

Jessie did all my xrays and help out dr. He made sure i was comfortable and answered all my questions/concerns!Let me be honest with you I havent been to the dentist for years, due to fear and embrassment of my chip tooth I have in back!.. Jessie intrudce me to Dr. Magar ( extremely highly professional). He examine my teeth knowing what needed to be done; have another apt. Monday to get my root canal taken care of and my brocken tooth that i was always embrass about; all going to be done at once.. Super friendly and he made me feel very comfortable making sure to answer any questions i have. Felt like Ive been coming here for years but it was just the 1st day!.EXCELLENT service!!
