Great service at the front desk and with the doctor. The only complaint is that there was a long delay in the waiting room to see the doctor. Dr Tham was very nice, friendly and professional.

Ive been getting my vision checked with Dr. Kotlyar and Master Eye Associates since 2017. Great staff. Quick service. Dr. Kotlyar herself is very friendly, explains everything you need in detail and takes her time with every patient. Appointments are readily available and since they close at 6pm I can usually schedule an appointment without having to take a day off from work. Highly recommend!

I would recommend Dr. Olga Kotlyar and her associate. They went beyond assessing my vision on my first visit and determined tear production was the component that needed to be included for me to reach my maximum vision. Dr. Kotlyar was very specific and thorough regarding the regimen to improve my tear production , thus preventing me from having to have a prescription. She has been very gracious about giving me samples and offers suggestions on different brands if something doesn’t seem to be working. She really listens to the patients.Julie Janzer

Dr. Tham was so thorough, patient, and she went OUT OF HER WAY to be helpful to me and my children. We were able to get a same day appointment even though she had a full schedule. We needed emergency eyewear and she stepped in and helped us far more than she had to. I am so grateful to have met her today!

Dr. Olga is the best and she speaks Spanish! Im sure she speaks multiple languages. I brought my mom to see her since I had a positive experience with my exam. I was going to assist with translation, but Dr. Olga surprised us all. The office is neat and clean with multiple seats to practice social distancing, which is all the rave right now. Definitely recommend this office for all your eye needs!

Good place to go. Quick and easy. Nice staff and Dr K was a good doctor. They should have warned me about the eye pressure machine (new to me!), but they were very kind and supportive as I tried (and tried) to remove contacts from my eyes for the first time. Definitely visit the clinic! I plan to go back.

I was a bit hesitant to go get my eyeglasses replaced but, as soon as I entered Master Eye Associates I knew I had made the right selection. The entire personnel at the Washington location go out of their way to keep their patients comfort a priority, Dr. Kotlyar is very knowledgeable and has nice bedside manners, current guidelines are masterfully observed, and Melissa was wonderful in helping me select the right glasses for all my currents needs. I will recommend Master Eye Associates, Washington location to all my friends and family. Job well done!

The store associate that helped me was so sincere and helpful! I didn’t get her name but she has short black hair with pink highlight. Please value your wonderful associates! My experience with her was amazing she was genuinely nice. I don’t typically leave reviews but i just feel like she really deserves cudos. The store was so clean, the procedures taken for Covid were top tier and then the end it the associate was the nicest person ever. This was just a great experience all in all. Thank you! :)

The doctor was very nice and the exam was adequate, however I had a problem with the front desk handling my insurance. My mom has Medicare/Medicaid with United Healthcare which makes it almost impossible to find an optometrist that takes the coverage. I called UHC to have them call around to find a doctor under the plan. They found me this place and called on my behalf to make an appointment for my mom. We arrive at the appointment, they make copies of the insurance card, mom sees the doctor. We go to check out and was given the bill in full. I asked them why I had to pay and they said insurance didn’t cover the visit because there wasn’t a pre-authorization from the PCP prior to the visit. I asked why they didn’t tell me this when I made the appointment and on the phone with them and insurance. They told me insurance should have told me I needed to do this. I called UHC and they told me again no pre-authorization needed so they called the doctor’s office to verify. UHC then tells me that this optometrist practice group requires it not the insurance carrier. I go through all of this only to get the run around and still had to pay out of pocket. The front desk needs to be more helpful if they knew ahead I needed a referral. Why didn’t they tell me before going into the appointment? Or at least tell me before seeing the doctor that it wasn’t covered.

I love going to this location and Dr. Kotlyar is the absolute best and the staff is always nice and it’s very clean. I love the way she explain every step and coach you through the process. She takes her time and it’s a smooth process every single time.

I had a pleasant experience the day I went to pick out my frames (07/14/2020), the young lady who assisted me was very helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately I had a horrible experience on today (07/27/2020).I called to ask about the status on my glasses and contacts that I had purchased (2 pairs of glasses and 6 months of contacts), I was told that they would take approximately 10 days to arrive and that I would get a text message for each individual item, that it was up to me to pick them up as they arrived or wait until I got all three arrival text and picked them up all at once.As I was speaking over the phone in regards to my purchase, I was cut off several times by the person who answered (wouldn’t allow me to elaborate), she places me on hold while I was still talking and came back and continued to me extremely rude!I then asked who was I speaking to, at which time she said “Melissa”, I then asked to speak to a manager, she then replied “I am the manager”. I was so stun of her attitude toward costumers (I called my sister to tell her what happen and she immediately said “oh she’s very rude, I don’t purchase my glasses from there anymore because of her”.After telling “Melissa” that I didn’t appreciate her cutting me off and being rude, I went on by saying “I’m caliing corporate, you said your name is Melissa?”, she replied “ohhhh yeah Melissa”.I then hung up the phone and immediately gave a review (something I usually don’t do). She is very unprofessional and rude! I’ve been wearing glasses since almost 40 years and this was a very unpleasant experience! She has no worries about her attitude what so ever, wish y’all had y’all calls recorded.I honestly want to return my purchase and go elsewhere!

She has given me advice on how to maintain the health of my eyes and thoroughly examined my eyes conditions. This place has all the familiarity of what you’re used to seeing at an Optometrist’s office growing up. Dr. Kotlyar is a gem. She listens but doesn’t waste time. 15 short minutes for a spectacles and contact lenses script. I’ll be back in a year to discuss LASIK.

Made a dreaded experience a learning experience. The doctor explained everything she did, in a manner that I could understand! When I received my glasses, my previous sight issues were addressed. Ive really been lucky to find Master Eye Assoc. since moving back to Houston-they are quick, friendly, easy location for inner loop and competitively priced. (Ive learned the hard way that going to the cheapest place is not really the best idea when it comes to your eyes). But not overpriced at all.Dr. Kotlyar is also a great doctor, easy to talk to and she answers questions patiently with a good sense of humor. Definitely recommend!
