You pay a $185 for an initial consultation of 30 minutes with a doctor who tries to sell you a program that costs $1400 to diagnose & an additional $5300 to treat.. Ohh and she informs you that gluten is bad and to eat Organic (You might as well burn $185 in the fire).

The staff at Unique Mind Care is always so helpful and positive! Ben S. has assisted me in bettering the way my brain functions. Dr. White is always smiling when I see her at the office. I couldnt have chosen a better place for my lovely daughter.I thank God for always guiding me in my choices. When I had need for therapy for my daughter, my family & I searched the web & found so many around Houston but we eventually narrowed it down to UMC. We had to fly all the way from Africa to consult with this amazing woman, Dr Nancy White. Dr White is the best any psychologist can be, she is experienced, so sweet, real & unassuming. Dr. White is a real professional that does her job with the highest level of precision. She consulted with us, we did the test & she went through the test results with us, prescribed the protocol & treatments. Her treatments were done without drugs, which to me is the greatest plus. I have been careful not to have my daughter use any of these prescribed drugs with their horrific side effects.I am amazed at the gradual transformation of my baby back to the very lovely girl I know.The dedicated team at UMC made things even smoother, theyre very brilliant, caring & at the same time very professional. I went into unique mindcare with insomnia, OCD ADD and fibromyalgia. After diagnosis from brain mapping Dr White and Richards set up a protocol for treatment. The process has finally allowed me to sleep, feel good physically and mentally. Dr White is very caring, helpful and loving. Dr Richards is brilliant and very personable!!! Paid $185 for a personal seminar for some pseudo-science/alternative medicine that was debunked in the 90s. Staff was at the very least nice and professional.

I came into unique mind with OCD ADD insomnia and fibromyalgia! To say the least I was miserable physically and mentally. Since the brain mapping that diagnosed what was going on with me Dr White and Dr Richards have made me back into a normal person. With the treatments I am sleeping normally, I am off the dangerous meds I was on from my Fibromyalgia Dr and not in pain, my OCD and Add are manageable where it doesn’t control my life. During my procedures of neuro feedback and Loretta I am a new person. At anytime you can counsel with Dr White. She is as real as real can be. She is sweet, personable and a great therapist. My son has attention deficit related behavior along with other emotional issues. It was recommended I visit Unique Mind Care to determine if this would be a positive alternative treatment for his issues. I was skeptical at first he would receive the results that other Drs say you retain from medicine. But within only a few weeks our family noticed a change (balance or calm) to his behavior. He had issues with sleeping alone prior to the treatments. That too resolved itself he now for the last 8 months sleeps on his own. My son still has issues to continue to work out through out his growing he is only 12. But I feel very confident the treatments he received at Unique Mind Care has aided his behavior and helped to calm him.

Unique Mind Care is very different from normal mental health care practices. Its a wholistic treatment that covers all areas of health for the body and mind. At the end of the day, this place helped a lot. It educated me and motivated me to make changes that were contributing to my mental state. You have to be consistent and be open/honest about how the treatment is changing you or making you feel. The staff I would consider friends, theyre all very relaxed and interesting to talk to. At the end of the day, Marc will have your back and help you get better. I do believe this treatment works, for some more than others. 3 other relatives of mine also went through the program and they all showed improvements, 1 of them (teenager) completely cured after 2 years of serious problems. I would recommend these guys to anyone, no matter how big or small your problem is. The program is tailored specifically for your needs.

It is a miracle! Abbie has her life back!We found Unique Mind Care in Jan. 2019. I thank God for leading us to Unique Mind Care. And I thank Dr. White and ALL of the staff at Unique Mind Care. They all have been so kind, caring, helpful, flexible and committed to Abbie’s healing.For several years, my daughter Abbie had been dealing with anxiety, long-term illness, and multiple concussions, including a very bad one in Oct 2018. All of this together meant that she: mostly stayed in her room, didn’t communicate much with family and friends, didn’t socialize much or do many activities, no longer would drive, couldn’t concentrate and do well on her school work (she is identified as gifted/talented and had always had good grades, but not in the last 3 years). and she couldn’t cope with large crowds, bright lights and loud noises.Abbie noticed a difference after the first session of Nexalin and Lumitron (light therapy)! After 3 sessions she started driving again and planned a social activity with a friend she hadn’t seen in a while! She said “I feel different, like I’m not the same [sick] person”. She said “I can think again”. And that was before she even started the Neuro feedback. She no longer needed our dog to act as emotional support/service dog. She was able to attend the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo—ride the rides and enjoy the concert with it’s loud noise and light show! Unique is a fitting name for this wonderful place. It is different than other places I have been. The staff is caring, compassionate and amazingly understanding. But really makes them them unique is their ability to utilize technology in treating the patient as a whole. It is not just a place where you come in, list your meds and your bodys response and have the psych just change you to another set of meds with other problems. Technology is used extensively in diagnosis and in treatment combined with a personal touch of talking. You can feel yourself getting better and the technology can show your actual improvement! Not just some docs opinion. I feel like I have developed a relationship, not only with Unique Mindcare, but with the people that work there. I think these relationships will continue for a long time.

Unique Mind Care (UMC) has been instrumental in our Godson coping with the mental issues associated with PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders). His issues included the rapid, intense onset of OCD, Tourette’s, and ADHD. He struggled with these afflictions for several years and was unable to function in a school setting. Medications were ineffective in dealing with his issues. Then we discovered UMC and the treatment available through them. As a result of therapy at Unique Mind Care, the symptoms and limitations from these disorders were alleviated, allowing him to re-enter school. He is graduating from high school this month and will enter the university this fall. Without the therapies available to us via UMC this would not have been possible. It is not an exaggeration to say that UMC gave him his life back. We are enormously appreciative and grateful.

Absolutely amazing staff that actually cares about the outcome of treatment. I have been to a few other psychiatrist, and hands down, Unique Mind Care blows them out of the water. I have never had an issue with the staff or treatment here. There has never been an instance where I’ve waited more than 10 minutes to be seen or start my treatment. In fact most of the time there is no wait time. Beautiful office, unlike most other places I’ve been. Very professional in every way shape and form. When I began treatment at unique mind care I would say my anxiety and depression were 8/10 and my insomnia was 10/10. Now after only a couple of months of treatment I can, with confidence, say my anxiety is normally at a 0 most days. My depression: completely gone, and my insomnia is ,dare I say.. cured. The psychiatrist Nancy White is wonderful and will really spend the time and effort to get to know you and diagnose you spot on. This is contrary to every other psych I have visited, who all just push pharmaceuticals that don’t work and are toxic with terrible side effects. Mark White is also absolutely terrific and really wants to make sure you are happy with your treatment and is in constant communication. If you need to talk to anyone about anything, they are always available. Mark was on vacation in California and I was in a meeting with Nancy. It was 9am and Mark answered the phone while on vacation to confirm some info and answer a question I had, and he was happy to do so. Very dedicated, knowledgeable, and caring. The rest of the staff is also caring and professional. Shoutout to Ben who does my neuro feed back. Great guy. And shoutout to Diana (hope I spelled her name right) who is just a wonderful person. I really can’t say enough about the people here and the treatment. I enjoy interacting with them. Second to none without a doubt. This is the future of brain health and they really explain exactly what’s going on inside your head. They have state of the art technology, that as far as I know, nobody else in the greater area has, and man, do they really utilize it to help the patient. This is the future. If you want help with anxiety, depression, insomnia, add/adhd, behavioral issues, drug recovery, head trauma recovery = THIS IS THE PLACE. After being a patient here, I would never consider going anywhere else, and I have already recommended unique mind care to several other people. Overall I honestly believe this to be one of the best facilities with the best staff with the best technology and treatment plan available in the greater Houston area, and possibly one of the best and most advanced places in the country, if not the world for brain health. If youre looking into this than that would most likely mean youre going through a difficult period. When I went to unique mind care (UMC) I was struggling with social anxiety and severe depression. Being an alternative and costly solution I found UMC in the end to be worth it.It has been over a year for me since I have last visited UMC and the positive effects are still predominate. I can comfortably say UMC played a major part in helping me to overcome my anxieties and depression.At first I was skeptical that this was the correct solution, but with a lot of patience and a lot of will power it proved to be worth it in the end. It certainly wont work from the start, and even when it does it can be subtle enough that it doesnt feel like much. But trusting the staff and the experience they have to the end is crucial.After about half way through my sessions I started to feel a glimmer of change. It wasnt much and it didnt stick for long. However as I kept going it stuck longer and longer and eventually they never went away. It has been over a year now and the positive changes are still there.At first, because of my anxieties, it took me a while to warm up to the staff, but once I did they became a tremendous help. Despite the time it took to warm up, the staff was still amazing and very professional. They clearly know what they are doing and can be trusted to help lead the way into recovery. They have demonstrated no reason for me to believe that they are in it specifically for the money, and have even gone above and beyond in making sure I received everything I needed. I truly got the impression that they are interested in helping people first.In the end it is my conclusion that UMC is well worth the time and investment. After all your health and well being is something that should not be half assed, neglected, or pushed back for another time. If you are fortunate enough to be able to try this opportunity, I would highly recommend it.

I highly recommend Unique Mind Care. My family has done both neurofeedback and Nexalin. They have had great results curing Insomnia & ADHD.

The only thing that I am complaining about is the fact that they dont respond to emails, I have emailed twice for more info, no response, if you are not going to monitor emails then dont encourage people to reach out in this manner.
