Dr Rios showed no professionalism. We made am appointment for my husband to be seen due to a possible heart condition. It showed he was available on the medical website but now we have been informed hes not there on Sundays at all. My husband wasted his time going to this doctor.

Don’t waste your time and money here, I sent my mom and staff is very rude and irresponsible. It took several attempts to get prescriptions filled.

I went in for what I thought was constipation due to other medical problems I was having at the time.Dr. Rios asked if I was pregnant, I told him no I didnt think so. He listened to my stomach with the stethoscope and then he then gave me two X-Rays. I did not see the X-Rays, but he told me he saw calcified stool in my large intestine and had me take more laxatives.Never checked back up on me, even though I called and called to get a follow up because laxatives werent working.Nope, I really was pregnant. A month and a half after I went in, I delivered my son.I asked for my chart after my son was born and I finally saw the X-Rays. They were two grey squares that not one doctor in the hospital could interpret.Dr. Rios does not have a standard of care. He takes money and gives it a mediocre guess at best.

One of the best experiences I’ve had at a doctors office. Was able to be seen on a walk-in basis and Dr. Rios was very attentive and interactive to find the best treatment for me while taking into account my opinions and experiences with certain medications.

Went to visit Dr.Rios office yesterday with my family.. We were all feeling sick unfortunately Dr.Rios wasnt in the office saw a nurse practitioner but her diagnosis was off..she was able to prescribe one of us with an antibiotic which helped but unfortunately the other family member is at home suffering sick in bed not getting better. None of us has covid as we all tested negative. I called today to ask for another antibiotic medication for my other family member but..there is no nurse practitioner or Doctor available to prescribe..there recommendation is to go to an urgent care or emergency room.. After we already spent copay and they already billed our insurance for them to just disregard our care.. No doctor or nurse is available after hours to prescribe medication.. I do not recommend going here...please look for a better clinic..

Dr. Rios is amazing. He´s professional, helpful and has excellent bedside manners. The staff is nice and helpful as well.The office and the facilities are clean and inviting. I highly recommend this place!!

So, Im not a person who trusts doctors. Ive had bad experiences. However, Dr. Rios and his staff are amazing! Hes actually the first doctor Ive ever really trusted. He always takes time to listen and consult. His office has extended hours and walk-in appointments. I wholeheartedly give Rios Healthcare Associates 5 stars!

Dr. Rios and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and professional. They saved my life one year ago were my heart and my lungs flooded with water. Thanks to this extremely good man and his staff I am alive. I stayed in ICU for a week. Thanks to Dr. Rios office, staff and God I am alive. My best regards to these health professionals.

I am really disappointed with the overall service that I received at this clinic. First of all, I signed up for my first appointment online for Sunday. I even called and double checked the timing, purpose of the visit etc. On Sunday morning, when I am about to go to my appointment, I receive the call telling me that Sundays are for Covid patients only and therefore the doctor would not be able to see me, since mine was a non-Covid issue. I reschedule the appointment for the following Saturday (since I work on weekdays and that was my only option) only to discover that the front desk had put me down for Sunday again, thus I was once again unable to see the doctor during that weekend. Fast forward couple of weeks, I finally see the doctor. The doctor was attentive, he suggested we do a few lab tests and depending on the results we would decide on the next steps. My lab tests were all okay but my problem has not been resolved (I have a severe lower back issue). Since then, I called the front desk at least 3 times to ask what my next steps should be - Do I need to go back to see the doctor? Should I go see a specialist? I get the same answer every time - let me check with the doctor and get back to you. Last time I called was last week - I explained that they had left me hanging without a call back for couple of weeks now and that I was still in pain and my issue was unresolved. The lady, after hearing about my failed attempts to receive further direction promised that she would call back by the end of the day, which she never did. I am really disappointed with this clinic and their approach to customers is beyond unprofessional.

I was looking for an honest, intelligent doctor to transition care for myself, my husband, and my mother-in-law. Dr. Rios is professional, timely, and compassionate. I have never had trouble making an appointment even for same-day, and I do not wait in the waiting room hardly at all. I am in the healthcare field, and I would recommend Dr. Rios for any patient. The office itself is clean and nice. The nursing and front desk staff are extremely kind. I have called their office and never had a delay in getting in touch with them.

I have had bad experiences with this provider. They don’t answer the calls and sends out invoices that don’t really match the service provided. Inspite of confirming that I only needed the annual preventive exams and woman wellness check, the provider and the staff were very dishonest. They didn’t not inform prior to our exam what the charges would be. My husband and I were billed for diagnostic lab work and office visit charges. Every blood work that was performed as a part of the annual wellness check was billed as diagnostic on top of additional fee for drawing blood, taking samples, etc. My insurance couldn’t help me either, since the provider had billed to different codes. It’s useless to even try contacting the front desk of Rios. No one responds. We kept getting invoices after invoices. Really had a bad experience. Would not recommend this provider.

Place was very clean, staff was friendly, wait time was 10 minutes for me on a Saturday around 10:45am, got my Covid results by 3:15. I wasn’t notified of my results however. I happened to check my Rios account and found out that my results were in.

Dr. Rios is extremely knowledgeable. I’ve been going to his office for about a year now and he’s always been able to help me with my health issues. Great person as well.

Waited for nearly an hour without being seen. No one ever came to give me an update but instead I had to go ask the front door if I would ever be seen.

The only doctor that ever actually listened to my complaints. he ran appropriate tests and I ended up with a specialist referral. seamless transition to the specialist he recommended; my records were sent in advance and they had gotten all my info from Rios Healthcare. at least 10 years of feeling bad and being disregarded by every other doctor, and I finally have a diagnosis and treatment.hes also super nice and patient. never had that tone like most doctors where they talk down on you all the time. my first appt with him was scheduled for 8 or 8:15pm, less than an hour before closing. went in for an exam but dumped out a list of concerns Id been having onto his lap. he stayed until after 10 until all items had been addressed and looked into. debated sending him a thank you card but didnt know if that would be weird lol. maybe hell get some cookies at christmas time.

Yes, COME TO THIS CLINIC! Rios Healthcare Clinic is absolutely professional, Clean, and friendly.My girlfriend woke up with a fever. And she had dermatitis symptoms. Now, during covid-19 times its risky going to big hospitals. And theres nothing worse that a dirty clinic, with bright white lights. Looking like the start of a horror movie!After calling numerous facilities. The Front desk agent!! Was very friendly! An angel! And listened to my anxious rambles whole heatedly.She confirmed availability! And when we arrived at the facility. My first impression was WOW! Clean. And the feel of the waiting room was Homey They have the BEST complementary coffee machine on this side of 59 SOUTH!When my gf finally had the patient visit. The wait was short btw. Nurse Fatima Sanchez was marvelous! My GF has a huge fear of needles and she had zero issues getting her blood drawn! And taking a steroid injection!! She didnt even know it happened. It was magical!Dr.Rios heared everything we had to say. It really felt like he was there to help the community. Curtious! Professional! Friendly! And a solid doctor. His nurse assistant was very caring as well!! Asked great questions. We did not feel awkard, rushed, or insignificant. They even laughed at my cat and Ikea dad jokes!IT TRULY FELT LIKE WE MATTERED THAT DAY. COME TO THIS CLINIC. YOU WONT REGRET IT.Ps. Get the Triple shot vanilla cappuccinos with one splenda.

My experience with Rios Healthcare was amazing! I made an appointment with them and they sent me an online form that I filled out in 5 minutes in order to have all my information and dont wait too much when I get there. Quick and easy.Dr. Rios was very profesional. I really like that I can get honest answers and recommendations about what I need and I dont need. The place is great: new and clean. The team were very friendly, experienced and super helpful (thank you so much Fatima and Nichole!!). Also, they speak Spanish too so is a plus for me! Best service so far in my 4 years in Houston!I highly recommend Rios Healthcare, Dr. Rios and his staff! Ill visit you again for sure. Thanks again :)

Dr. Rios is amazing and hands down one of the best physicians in HTX/IAH. The office staff is great and wait time is not too long. He’s a great listener and clinic nurses go out of their way to make you feel heard, make you feel safe and also get all your concerns addressed . I’ll choose this clinic again

Dr. Rios has proven to be a very kind, compassionate doctor. His bedside manner is fantastic and quite possibly the best I’ve ever received. The staff is kind and helpful as well, this has been the best experience with a doctors office I have ever had. Would highly recommend this place to anyone, and already have to several people.I had blood tests done, and he called me on a Saturday just three days after having gone in to give me my diagnosis. So happy I went here!

UPDATE 4/26/2021:Started received unsolicited robo phone calls from this office 10 months after billing error. Unacceptable & un-professional.UPDATE:After reading their patient first response below, I figured Id give Rios Healthcare one more shot. Decided to call in and ask for a call back to speak with the doctor. It has been about a week now with no call or follow-up communication. Had responded to the their collection letter with my credit card credentials & no response & resolution.---Don’t be misled by the ZocDoc and Google reviews especially if you have relocated from a different state. Biggest issue with this clinic is the lack of billing transparency along with a lack of follow up on health issues. Office staff has sub-par customer service compared to other clinics and treat you more like another number than an actual person.Had an issue with a throat infection, came into the office for a doctors prescription and office staff said to pay $70 in office and insurance would cover the rest. Low and behold, I receive a letter in the mail from the offices outsourced billing company in Virginia threatening to send me to collections for an outstanding balance. Billing phone number was completely invalid and office staff didn’t show any care in the issue or keeping a potential loyal customer. Called their office multiple times to resolve issue and no assistance as expected.Don’t waste your time here, find a doctors office who goes above and beyond a there are plenty of options here in Houston.

Came in here with excruciating back pain/spasms and Dr. Rios and his staff were able to treat me promptly and got me on a plan of action to get better. I am so happy I came in, kudos to you and the staff Doc!

Reallllyy nice and the facilities are super clean. I enjoyed their coffee machine and hot tea selections in the lobby. Staff were nice and helpful. They asked of you have any health concerns so be prepared to answer bc they can refer you to other doctors.Also make sure to change Dr. Rios to your primary care physician BEFORE you go. I was lucky to call my insurance in the lobby and change it but I was a bit surprised when I arrived.

I would like to thank you Dr Rios for serving me from the pain that I was going through i cant thank you enough Im heal now this is great place to go if you are looking for the healing.

Had an amazing experience at Rios Healthcare yesterday. Getting basic care is always tricky and expensive, so Ive never actually had a primary physician and was recently recommended to go visit Dr. Rios where I found that everything was super organized, super efficient and super affordable.What I love about Dr. Rios office is that its set up like an urgent care clinic and they have all the resources you need to get treatment for anything and everything, but that its actually charged as a regular doctor visit. So you end up paying way less copay on your insurance coming here as opposed to the other place. Or, if youre paying cash, this is also going to be a way more affordable option than an ER or urgent care.Excellent service from Dr. Rios personally and his team. I was able to get bloodwork done and a flu shot as well as handle a few other personal health issues all in the same visit. Cant recommend this place enough, will definitely continue to use Dr. Rios as my primary care doc.

Great healthcare service, with a poor billing back-office. I had a great experience when visiting Rios Healthcare last June. That day I handled to the front desk my insurance card and my credit card, and I wasnt charged because services where supposed to be covered by my insurance policy. Several months later I received an invoice. Then the experience turned to be pretty different. I have visited 3 times the place in six months and I have tried to call several times the team on the phone. I have also let my contatc details. No way to reach the billing department, not even raising quesiton in person at Rios Healthcare, not on the phone number provided (a weird one by te way). Thus, no way to get answered any of my questions. Still, on January 6th I paid the balance since I understood it was more a question of my insurer and I didnt to waste more time. But still after having paid it, today, 3 weeks later, I receive a new notification of the outstanding balance with threats to proceed with further actions against me if I dont pay. After more than 6 months no one from Rios Healthcare has contacted me, whilst I have visited them 3 times and tried to call their billing department couple of times. Still, no way to talk them.. Dr. Rios should really consider whom to handle his billing to... No complain about his abilities and the way he treats his patients, but he should consider who he gives his billing work to...

Dr. Rios himself Is very nice and knowledgable but the staff was another story. I asked for a receipt of the visit to be emailed to me and it never was. I had to call twice to get the front staff to email the receipt to me and they were extremely rude about it, even when they realized they had entered my email address incorrectly into their system. I went in with my 8 week old feeling like I had the flu. They did a flu test and said I would be getting the results tomorrow. I called to see if the results were in in the morning so I could go ahead and pick up my tamiflu but it was at this point they said it would take 24 hours to get them. Around the time I shouldve been getting them I called back and they told me they still didnt have them. Not wanting my newborn to catch it, I called back at the 27 hour mark and asked to speak to the nurse. I explained I wanted to start the tamiflu as soon as possible in an attempt to try to keep my newborn from getting sick. I asked the nurse if there was anyway she could call labcorp and try to get the results. She said she would and said she would call me back. She never called me back and at 6 PM I finally got an email with the results. Due to the unfriendly demeanor of the nurse and front desk personnel, unfortunately I will not be returning as a patient to Dr. Rios, which is disappointing since he seemed so nice.

Dr. Rios is such a kind man, and has so much respect for both his patients and employees.

Dr Rios saw me on the same day, no wait and excellent service! I registered through Zocdoc and check in was a breeze. Very nice location with WiFi, coffee, etc.

It is not much use, they waste time I have half an hour of sitting here waiting for the test to come and I think they forgot about me, to pay for this it is better to go to another place where they do not charge you. It takes time but you do not pay and here you pay and they take the same time they dont give you results in an hour
