The V.A hospitals have come a long way from the days of having to wait months for sub par visit. You can now get in and seen by a great physician in a matter of days, sometimes a little longer than that, but not by much. The hospitals are nice with up to date equipment. And staffed with knowledgeable Dr.s Nurses, not to mention the fantastic people who donate their time, and are nothing but friendly and helpful.If your a Veteran, and you remember how the V.A hospitals and clinics used to be.Go ahead and make that appointment youve been putting off because these facilities are nothing like they were years ago.

Care for veterans that cant be gotten at local clinic. Bi yearly review of skin and cancer removal by competent residents. Compassionate and skilled. This clinic has fast service compared to the other clinics. Parking is improving somewhat. The travel reimbursement line is still long however. App time was right after lunch on a Monday.

Best Dermatologist ever! She didnt hesitate to cut out every odd-looking blemish and growth I had. Sent it all off for biopsies and let me know that none of my growths were cancerous - I guess those growths were extensions of my ugliness 😥? DeBakey has treated me excellently. I also got a heart monitor at their cardiology department and it took about twenty minutes from the moment I got there to the moment I left. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I had a stellar experience here and I highly recommend them if you have a bum ticker...or, if you are just ugly like me and need some of that ugliness whittled off of ya.

Cardiology is the most unorganized department. They first ask you to wait from 8 am to 1 pm. They wont give you appointment but you have to wait and see. They will honor appointment only when you didnt get one on the day you went.I got my appointment because I arrived at 11 am I was told the machines were not working and everyone got sent home early. Seriously?Come on. Dont overbook your appointments.

You see mostly only students, its hard to findout results of tests, and they speek to you as though you are an idiot.

Thankful for a tentative, friendly, and caring staff of professionals. All over the hospital you are not invisible to the staff and politely recognized by them and the many volunteers.

Worst parking setup ever. Looked for parking for 20 minutes. Completely empty parking lots and redirected to wait in line for 20 minutes because thats the only patient parking left. Executive and employee parking lots are mostly empty. Parking deserves zero stars!! The staff bring it up with their 4 stars.

Do you know what V A stands for...VERY AFFORDABLE..best care any where. But compensstion and pension people are cheep took away 40% of my pension
