Nice gym, nice cafe area. The pools are huge, but its confusing to see ALL pools roped off for laps. Not able to just lounge. The dry sauna is unisex and small - too small and crowded to be comfortable in a pandemic. Lifetime offers some frills and nice touches like towels and toiletries, but dollar for dollar, I dont think you get your moneys worth compared to an L.A. Fitness or 24 Hour Fitness for example. To cost 3 times as much, just my opinion, not really worth it.

I moved and need to cancel. To do so, they require that I physically go to a Lifetime. They wont cancel over the phone. The most precious commodity I have is time, and I really dont appreciate my time being needlessly wasted for what should be a simple task: canceling my membership. I should bill them my hourly rate for the time it will take to drive there and cancel. I am definitely done with Lifetime!

I’ve be to many gyms across the US , hands down Lifetime Fitness facilities are the best and it’s not even close . You want to attend a gym that has everything this is the one to join. 10 out of 10 , 5stars! Indoor/outdoor pools, large locker room with free lockers, the LTF cafe has really good food, snacks, drinks, protein shakes , and fresh cooked food if you’re looking for a full meal. There’s also a hair salon , Masseuse , facials , plenty televisions , free towels , rock climbing wall, three basketball courts and a full Bootcamp area on the top floor for hardcore fitness junkies . Again this place has it all!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!I never take the time to leave bad reviews, but I made sure I came to tell others what a horrible experience I had with this gym. They threw away over 200$ worth of belongings after one day in their locker room and didn’t even have the decency to tell me. They acted as if they could find it for days ( to cover themselves from not logging it like they should ) and basically told me it was my fault. This is my favorite Life Time in all of Houston. The staff is the BEST at this location. Not to mention, they have an entire rock wall and multiple levels in this club. The locker rooms are large and include a womens only hot tub option which I like. I have tried every single Life Time in Houston (and area surrounding) and this is not only the best deal (price wise) but the cleanest and best staff. 2-3 years ago, I left a nasty review here about the attitude I received from lifetime city center despite going here for about a decade. Today, while I’m still not fond of coming back to this specific location, Lifetime, (the company) ,has done everything in its power to make things right. While I took a hiatus from lifetime, I tried out other clubs like equinox and memorial athletic club. While both had its ups and downs, I still think lifetime is the superior club. That said this location still needs some serious work. I left this a 3 stars. When they clean up a bit more I’ll give them a 4 star.

I lost 40 lbs at this Lifetime. The amount of classes they have and equipment is pretty impressive; and its clean, and the environment is excellent. The ability to use other LifeTimes away from the Home gym is fantastic!! 10/10 from this aspect. Things to keep in mind: As a woman, I saw several men try to pick fights with each other (one where I had to intervene! and one that made me feel scared). EGOs are a thing here. I wish it were easier to report this kind of stuff. It gets middle school real fast. The mens locker room is out of this world large/huge jacuzzi inside. Womens locker room is half the size, including the jacuzzi. Womens locker room needs a renovation (but they choose to spend money on renovating the mens. Some classroom teachers get awkward once they start seeing you every day. Dont worry, only some! Many of them are super easy-going and relaxed and bring nothing but a welcoming, friendly atmosphere into the room to get you going, sweating, and shedding off those pounds! Three stars due to this overall experience of not feeling safe at times due to the EGOs/intimidation from member to member/not the gyms fault from this aspect but wish the Gym would communicate more often about this in their email announcements and or newsletters etc.

It has great amenities, dont get me wrong. Its does not have that big of a weight room as you would hope for when it comes to functionality. Im a practical person, so once I get in routine, I am not going to move far from a schedule or training plan. Theres so much variety, and I think this is great for a family; however, if youre a lone Jone like myself youll eventually find youre paying extra for the sake of just having extra Programs available. As Im ending my membership since I want to save money, Im told right when Im leaving that they have a student discounted membership. $15 a month. I dont even care if I get only certain days with that membership. I would of adapted to the times I can come in and work with what I got cause thats an amazing price. No one brought this option up at sign on and Ive lost now $100s as a student. Had I of been told about this amazing deal PRIOR I would of never run into this issue debating whether or not my membership is worth it! I think they wanted me to wear a mask since I’m Asian.I’m okay with wearing a mask if they make everyone do it but it should be enforced equally to all members. In addition, they say masks can be removed at the exercise areas. Be careful of their cancellation policy! They require a 30-day advance WRITTEN notice or a cancellation at the fitness center. I acquired my membership through a corporation I was working for who had leased space at Lifetime Work. The company was paying for my membership and once I left the company and Lifetime Work I did not realize it was my responsibility to cancel my Lifetime Fitness Membership. They did require my credit card information once I started, which they told me I could use at the gym for smoothies, food etc through their app. A few months after I left, since the Corporation must have stopped paying for my membership, Lifetime took out $139 from my back account. I have not known that I had a membership for 3 months and yesterday I see $139 was taken from my account. They will not return this money. They told me that the money is first taken from the corporate account and if that fails they use the personal account that was required. None of this is explained, but maybe I should have read the fine print. I was very busy with a new job and lots of paperwork so I did not realize what I was getting into. I am sure Lifetime Fitness makes alot of money with this required 30 day written cancellation policy.

High pressure sales tactics aside, the facility is nice but I just didn’t feel like it was offering something much more then the competition. For $120/month you would think you would get a ton of freebies along with the membership but that is definitely not the case. All and all, this place just doesn’t offer enough value for the price in my own opinion.

It is completely overpriced for the facilities at this gym. And dont even bother with the childcare center if you have an infant. They require a reservation for any child under the age of one and they are nearly impossible to get. A staff member told me they only have space for 4 infants at a time during the afternoon/evening, and have no plans to increase that (but will gladly take my money for a monthly membership for said infant). And if you want to cancel, it is made as difficult as possible. I spoke to a rep over the phone and was told to email the request. After no response via email, I then spoke to someone else who said I had to do it in person or via snail mail. I have now spoken to 5 people (both at the gym and at corporate) over the course of 2 days to try to cancel and cannot get confirmation that it is being processed. So far, joining Life Time has been a truly enjoyable process. I was actually very hesitant to join because I read a lot of not great reviews but in the end I decided to check it out for myself. Alexandra was the manager that gave my husband and I the tour and answered all of my many questions. She was amazing and very straight forward. She didnt try to downplay the bad reviews, the high cost of the gym, or the fact that the large size can be overwhelming which was refreshing. She set us up with an onboarding session with Rex, who did not waste any time getting my husband and I sweating, and recommended workouts and supplements to get us going! The staff that I have encountered have been truly helpful and polite. My husband attends at all hours of the night and always has great things to say. I would like to provide some feedback and comments on the company’s service. The club and personal at then company has been mostly positive. The workers are friendly and personable. My issue is how inflexible their corporate policy is in regards to member relations. I have been a paying member for over 6 years and currently paying for multiple memberships.A year ago, I upgraded my membership from Onyx all club access to Diamond tier. I did this for two reasons; 1) I work downtown and your company had acquired a gym close to my work 2) More diamond level locations around town close to my work 3) I travel often to Seattle and there was a another club I could attend in Seattle whenever I visited.Opening week, I attempted to go to this facility only to find out I did not have access because Lifetime went and created a brand new tier “Diamond Signature”. The first in the country. After which I went back to the previous diamond gym I used to attend in the galleria. Only to find out that location had also upgraded to a signature tier. When I inquired further I was told that current members of that location were upgraded to Signature as well and were grandfathered into their current rates. I was not because that was not my “home” gym although every other diamond member basically got upgrades in Houston. So now in order for me to use my membership, I would have to travel outside of the state to attend a diamond gym. To add salt to the wound I was told that a founders rate given to new members who pre registered for the newer gym. As I was already a member and at the time I was not even given that opportunity or even knew of such rates as I was already at the highest tier the year before. So instead of paying my current rate or the founders special, I now have pay a 2nd increased rate and a 100 dollar change fee because I changed levels. Please explain why I should continue to pay a company with such business tactics that each time they open a new tier they ignore where they have forsaken current members.I explained this to the GM at the new location only to hear that they would have to contact corporate to get approval. After months of no word back I had to go and ask again at the location. Only to hear the GM tellThe account manager to tell the associate. “Tell him we will look into it but yea we aren’t going to upgrade him”. The GM was not aware that he was on speaker and I had heard the entire conversation. After which I contacted customer relations to get clarity on the situation. After explaining all this. They stated it’s up to the GM of the club to make any adjustments to my rates or membership levels. So now I get conflicting information and the one stuck in the middle is a paying customer that is basically being lied to.I currently pay for 3 lifetime time members. Why would I continue doing this with such a dishonest and non-customer-service-centric company?? The final response from the corp office was they would waive then 100 change fee for me if I wanted to upgrade. So end of the day just pay us the higher rates and stop complaining we will not make things right. Way to go lifetime you know how to keep a loyal customer of 6+ years!!At this point I have engaged with multiple Account managers / GMs / customer relations folks for over 3 months and I still have no resolution or response. Instead I get the default answer, we would love to help you and provide you with wonderful customer service just pay more! Buyer beware!M

There’s no problem with the actual facility, but there are a bunch of other problems. First, more than half of the staff never want to help you and are rude. Also the basketball courts are always reserved. In the past week alone I’ve been to lifetime 3 times, and every time I haven’t been able to play. They reserve it for hours at a time and never are nice about it. They tell you to get off the court in a rude manner, and then they use more time than they reserved. The other day I came up and they had reserved the court until 7:30. The place is great, they make you feel VIP. Very clean, secure, parking no hassle. Classes and instructors are great. I back in shape after baby very quicly, thanks to this gym. I kept my membership for years after i mooved fare from the Town&Country, finally cancelled this year as closer location at Greenway was a disappointment.

I was a member of this gym for a year. We paid monthly for a family of 5. We honestly rarely went but my kids enjoyed the pool access so we just kept the membership. This summer I had a family friend come with me a few times to give my kids a few swim tips and tricks. They are just starting to learn and I figured why pay for private lessons when I can get my friend to show them a few things for free. Weve been there a few times over the past few weeks and today once I walked out to walk upstairs to see the class schedule and back down to the pool....(I am BLACK and my friend is WHITE) they (Nolan and Rachel) approached her and told her that she could not give lesson since she wasnt employed by Lifetime. Then the manager told me that I couldnt hire someone to give private lessons. They had assumed that she was a PAID instructor and pretty much told me she couldnt show my kids anything. I demanded to see the GM and also see the policy in writing! When I spoke with the GM he only showed me a policy that pertained to personal training and instructing for FITNESS! No where within the policy was there any verbiage about aquatics or swimming. I have seen others giving children techniques and not once seen anyone pull them out or discuss anything with them and these were NOT private lessons. They have a new aquatics manager (Nolan) and everything has changed this year unfortunately not for the better! We cxled our membership ToDAY....dont really need to pay $200+ for a membership where you can tell me what I can show my children in the water! Utterly ridiculous! Oh and when you give me a blanketed response please note the above....the GM was no help!

If youre interested in a top-notch facility to work out, this is the place. Ive been a member in Dallas and been to their facilities throughout Texas and they all have exceptional people, equipment and locker rooms. Find a trainer you like and get the results you want.

So I was skeptical about this place considering the reviews and the price but its worth the money at the end. Im paying roughly around $120 per month by myself, it opens 24/7, showers are clean, amenities are always available. Yudo is the man that signed me up so definitely sign up with him if you want a great person to first take you around Lifetime. They gave me 300 LT bucks when you sign up and the staff has been phenomenal. I have been to all the group fitness classes and I love the instructors. They motivate you to do better and theyll even push you to stay for another class. Definitely a great place to stay fit and have friendly people around. Parking is horrible like they say but I always go straight to the top floor for parking. You came to the gym to workout anyways so climbs those stairs to go to the gym.

I had an odd pain in my hip area, so I asked the trainers for advice on a few exercises to loosen it up. Michael Perkola kindly spent 15 minutes with me. He taught me 4 exercises, and very clearly described which muscles were triggering and misfiring. By the end of it, I was feeling muscles I didnt know existed, my pain was gone, and I was so flexible that when I reached down to touch my toes, my hands made it all the way to the floor. And he didnt try to sell me anything.

This place doesn’t deserve your business. Hell I live in city Centre right next to this place and I still wouldn’t go. Under qualified trainers that over diagnose, the good ones always seem to leave :/ probably cause they know their worth and have ethics. Coaches are good for classes but that’s all you really can say is worth it. Management a disaster, respect for members a disaster.
