Everything went very smoothly. Everybody actually called me by the name I go by. Everybody was conscientious about making me comfortable. One of the best experiences Ive had.. and Ive had a A lot of test done in my 60 years.

We were greeted in a friendly and professional way at the reception, helped with any information we needed and had appointment on time. Staff in the clinic were also friendly and professional.

When a medicine stops being effective on me he moves me on to another as soon as possible. I realize there is no cure for UC. I have seen Katie Bycura 3 times now, and have always found her to be professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. She doesn’t make you feel rushed. She explains everything and answers all questions.I also like Dr. Hamat, the anesthesiologist, and nursing staff at the surgery center who attended to me during my biopsy. They are all very attentive and professional.My only complaint is that I was not able to have my husband come back with me when I got my liver biopsy results. We were both wearing masks, and I told them we’ve both had the COVID vaccine. I think there should be EXCEPTIONS. Talking on the phone doesn’t cut it.CORRECTION UPDATE: My husband was not able to come back into Katie’s office with me for biopsy results. This is where I think there should be an EXCEPTION as there was a lot of information to absorb and also questions. Coming alone for a regular appointment is fine. The surgery center was great. They did let him come back shortly before I was ready to leave.

I was last at this office 5 years ago. When I came this week I appreciated how I was treated with kindness and respect. Katie listened to me and suggested what could be done to help me.

I would give ZERO STAR if there is an option. SUPER INEXPERIENCED and RUDE STAFF. Especially front desk receptionists. Because they work there they want to tell you what to do instead listen to you what you have to say. The location at North Houston 275 Lantern Bend suite # 200 Houston Texas 77090. When you call in it will take a long time to answer and sometime they even hang up on you. (They want to tell you what to do instead listen to you what you have to say.) Not sure how they earn the job!In addition: the Nurse are highly recommended. They return my call when I left a voicemails within the same day.

Very poor customer service. Couldn’t reach them for couple days. After like 10 calls rude lady picked up i told her i could barely hear her. She told me to call back, afterwards I couldn’t reach them again. They never pickup phone calls.

Medical staff is great. My issue is with just the office visit pay itself. I call and asked how much would it be for the visit and was told $80 and the plus if you do any labs or test. Then I go to see where I pay for the lab and im told that it would be $60 more because your a new patient. Why wasnt I informed of that when I asked before I made the appointment. So for a new patient visit the total was $140 without insurance. Thats fine just wished I was informed about that before the visit.

My mom is a new patient. We visited the Doctors office 1 week ago today. She has to have an upper and lower GI before she have have stint surgery. One is blocked 90%.The nurse advised they would back with her the next day after her Dr. approved the procedure. NO phone call. I called her Dr on Monday to see if they approved the procedure and they did. NO calls. I have left messages and emailed to nurse. NO response. Mom needs the procedure to fix her blockage.Going to look for a different Doctor this morning who will respond to phone calls.

Very organized, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly.I was treated like a queen by the receptionist, nurse, anesthesiologists, and Dr. Shah.Thorough instructions were provided by the receptionist. The nurse brought warm blankets, inserted the IV and took my blood pressure while letting me know what to expect.The anesthesiologist introduced himself and explained what he would do.Dr Shah is the best.I was very impressed with the checklist to make sure everyone was on the same page and truly appreciated the eye contact from everyone.Thank you.

Very friendly staff and awesome doctors! The main location is very state of the art, with a surgery center connected to it so its very convenient when scheduling procedures. I would highly recommend this practice to my friends and family.

The service was professional, friendly and fast. Our Dr was amazing, he answered our questions and made us feel like our concerns were his concerns. If it was important for us it was important to him. Made me feel at ease talking about bowel habits and the issues I have been having. Open to ideas and suggestions. Understands that every patient is not the same. Treatment plan is unique to each individual patient.

I just have to share my great experience at this facility! I was able to have a colonoscopy and stomach scope during the same visit! My nurse, Summer, came in, introduced herself, and explained everything first. Summer was also in the procedure room and kept me comfortable with conversation. I woke up to Jolie, another nurse, that explained everything, and got me ready to leave. The doctor consulted with me, then out there door. Ran like a well oiled machine! I referred my mother, and took her there. Summer remembered me, I was impressed. Thank you all!

The facility was clean and nice. All of the staff was great !!! Summer was the nurse that stayed in the room with me and my anesthesiologists was great and had good jokes. Jennifer was my after care nurse. I loved her she was so sweet. She gave us hugs when we left. They were very informative as well.

The place was fine! The staff was really nice! I just had an issue with being there at 9a and never left there until 1230p for a procedure that takes 15 minutes tops! A lot of waiting for no reason at all! They schedule too many at one time!

The PA weve been seeing is WONDERFUL. However, the support staff is not the best at responding to emails or returning phone calls (still). I complained previously about this and they got better but Im having issues with them refunding me monies now for overpaying and all Im getting is non-response. Reached out to Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Accolade and they both are getting non-response. Way to treat your paying customers by not refunding monies even when you admitted that I had a credit.

I was called to schedule a colonoscopy because my 5 years follow was due. I scheduled the appointment then was told it would be a teleconference sure to COVID. At the time I asked the price and the staff member could not tell me. The day off my teleconference came and I had not received any directions on how this would occur, just the time. When the time came and no call, not information I called the office. At that time I was told in a not so nice tone, that I would receive a phone call. 20 mins later, a woman, Im assuming the PA, called and in another not so nice tone told me me I had missed my appointment! I told her I have been waiting to hear from them since before 8 oclock. I asked her what number were they using to call me and she gave me my work number. I asked her why they will be using my work number when they initially called my cell phone number which was a number she had just called. Then when she gave me directions on how to connect to the call it was very difficult to do that. Finally got on the call it took about 5 minutes. The PA told me that someone be calling to set up my colonoscopy appointment. that was more than a month ago and I have not heard from anyone and I got a $172 bill for a 5 minute phone call. My FSA asked for documentation of the visit. When I cled and asked for a receipt the receptionist was VERY rude. I was highly disappointed in all all aspects of the service I received from this staff. I will be disputing the charge and asking for a refund. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I had an excellent experience at this facility. Staff was excellent. Waited longer than I would have liked but that was not at the fault of anyone, procedures sometimes can run longer than expected. I highly recommend this facility.

From the moment we walked in everyone was nice, our wait time wasnt too bad either. We had a bad experience with a previous GI doctor at another facility, so meeting with Dr. Shah was such a refreshing change. He asked questions and explained everything to us and what he was going to do. This was our first visit, but so far Im very happy.

Very professional. I arrived on time and was greeted warmly. I filled out the necessary paperwork and was called back to pre-op right away. The nurse ran through all of the details and made sure I had a good experience getting the iv put in. Shortly after that I was moved to the room where the procedure would be done. The doctor came in to ask if I had any questions. Then off I went to sleep. I was very comfortable the whole time. I appreciated the professionalism and how they respected my time.

I had an appointment today at Digestive & Liver Disease Consultants. I arrived about 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment but was taken back to my interview room shortly after I arrived. The interview was handled in a very professional manner and I was moved to the room that I would see the doctor. Within 5 minutes I was seen by PA. We reviewed my current condition compared to my last office visit. She provided her assessment and my up coming treatment. I needed a new prescription and she ask her assistant to take care of that. I was provided a new prescription and a date for my next office visit. I was told I would be contacted later to schedule my August procedure.

I am a nurse and if you want a practice that is rude and had nurses that actually yell at you when in a mistake this practice is for you! Multiple instances of poor communication that wasted my time and money and caused me great discomfort! Nurse Megan is rude and cannot accept responsibility for her mistakes! When questioned with logical facts and basic nursing procedures she chose to yell at me in the office. Office manager agreed with all my complaints but no follow up! I gave her2 weeks! They have had 6 Dr leave the practice in short succession! I have been disappointed at the lack of continuity of care! Nurses blame mistakes on their inability to keep up with Dr. Orders! This is basic Nursing 101. If you can’t keep up you stop before making mistakes and call someone that knows the answers! Instructing patients to do costly test and doing preps without orders is incompetent! I would have dropped this if they had been honest , not yelled at me and apologized! This is why insurance is so expensive! I hope this isn’t part of a plan to get patients to pay for tests? This use to be a great practice but it had not been managed well and they aren’t hiring safe competent staff! I’m extremely disappointed!

My experience was great! The staff was very helpful and made me feel very welcomed as well as comfortable. The nurse Ms. Carla was very pleasant, exceedingly great! She explained everything to me and was right there when if I needed her! Dr. Hamad was wonderful...my procedure went well with no pain, or soreness, not feeling irritable and I returned to work the next day. I would recommend anyone to this facility. I wanted to share my experience I had at this facility. I was scheduled for Endoscopy and Colonoscopy. I was greeted by Sherrie, She was very genuinely kind and concerned with my well being.My Nurse was Summer, Summer was extremely thorough when it came to explaining my procedures and was very patient when it came to answering any questions that I had. She was very professional and started my IV with one stick. This sometimes is a chore. I also appreciated the warm blankets. I can say these ladies worked together for the good of the patients.Dr Reddy and His Staff are very professional and tentative with their patients.

Everyone was very friendly & professional. The doctor was very friendly & made me feel relaxed. She listened to everything I said and actually replied back with concern. Her English was perfect and I understood every word. I called the office to request for my prep drink to be changed because my insurance did not cover what was prescribed. And it was taken cared of for me to pick up a sample at no cost. That meant a lot to me . Thank you kindly for this. One thing I would like to mention; when I was given the address, I was told 940 and not given a room number. I asked if that was it 940 or if the building had a name and the young lady said just 940. However, it was 950 medical building 2 room 550, so it was very confusing and I called while driving because I was lost and she had put me on hold to ask someone and we got disconnected. Knowledge of directions could have been better.

My consultation was short sweet and to the point. All my questions were answered and my colonoscopy was scheduled the very next week

The facility was nice. I was seen quickly. The nurses where kind and thorough. Dr. Hamat took his time to get to know and understand my GI symptoms. I am very happy with my first visit.

Dr. Chalasani is always respectful to my parents. He always makes sure that my elderly father understands my mothers medical needs. I greatly appreciate his patience and concerns. He was the only doctor that was able to diagnosis what was going on with her after years of many many other specialist. I would greatly refer him to anyone in need of help.

The facility was very nice. All of the staff members are even nicer! I could not have asked for more. Maybe a medical liaison or concierge that will be dedicated to you from A to Z. Picks you up at home, observes the procedure and what takes place, gathers the details of the written and verbal summaries from the Dr. and shares all of that information and what he observed visually and verbally during the procedure while he is driving you back home. 😊 Please note that the word he is used as a word that covers she as well and any qualified individual that meet necessary requirements for the position.

I was referred to this Dr, back in early 2000s, and Ive been with him since, Id not change this Dr for anything. This Dr and staff are wonderful people. Ill be with them until he retires or moves a long ways aways from me.Nice and concerned Dr and Staff.

Had to jump through hoops to get an appointment. At that appointment the doctor seemed more concerned with some kind of crick in her neck than my problems, which she treated pretty flippantly, in my opinion. More hoops jumped through to get tests ordered, requiring much time on the phone by me. Absolutely no follow up other than a call from the not-overly-friendly assistant to say follow-up appointments to discuss test results dont usually happen. And that I was welcome to go get my gallbladder removed. Uh, thanks? But LOTS of follow-up (6 or 7 emails so far) urging me to leave them a review. Well, here you go guys.

Dr. Reddy is the best at what he does. I went in for my 3 year colonoscopy and he was very compassionate and explained everything in detail. The staff is very professional and looked after me. Great experience.

If negative stars were available, I’d put that! Dr Hamat is a decent doctor but not worth the headache of having to deal with his office staff! I’ve had to call AND go in to the office multiple times, hounding his nurse down to try and get medication.. I shouldn’t have to call and basically beg for medication!! The supposed “office manager” told me that my insurance company never called for a 90 day prescription, however it’s on record that the call was made on the 12th of this month.. it’s now the 21st and no response. This office is extremely unprofessional and negligent. I will most definitely seek treatment from another, much more professional, office. You just lost 3 patients... Congratulations!

I have had only 3 appointments at the Lantern Bend location. Two of them were with Laura Peterkin, P.A. and one was for a liver scan. All of the people I have encountered during my visits from the front desk person to the nurses, the PA and even the people that draw the labs have been super nice and very personable! The only complaint I have is that it is sometimes super difficult to get through to them on the phone. If you can, try to get a direct number or extension of the person you need to speak with. I have had some issues due to switching insurance plans and they have been super accommodating and very helpful trying to navigate these issues with me.

I usually feel very well in this place, the receptionist is kind and polite. I have known Laura for a long time and she has always been excellent. I am very grateful with her for her help and understanding during my treatment for Hepatitis C. Dr Reddy has been my doctor for many years and I am also very grateful with him.

I really liked Dr. Shah. After I saw him and scheduled the procedures we discussed, I was asked to sit in the waiting room to wait for pre-op lab work. I waited for two hours and was never taken to have blood drawn. I checked with the receptionist several times, was told they would call me soon. I finally left without having the lab work after two hours.

Felt very safe, secure and calm all the way. I was wheeled into examination room, saw my doctor and the next thing I knew was I was awake in the attendants room, my exam over with, and awaiting the arrival of the person who would be taking me home.

My experience here was great, the doctor and the staff were awesome very kind, friendly, helpful etc. I have been telling my family and friends about this place. I said if I have to do it all over again this is where I will be. Thanks to everyone. May GOD Bless.

I was having health issues and made an appointment to speak with Dr. Shah. This was my first visit with Dr. Shah. The ladies at the front desk were professional and very welcoming. I did not have to wait very long to see the doctor. Dr. Shah listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions. He gave me good advice and I will return if my health issues persist. I would recommend the Digestive & Liver Disease doctors.

PA was very good and answered all the questions. An appointment for the upper GI was made but the PA could not confirm at what location and time. Called your office several times and no body picked up the phone. At the time of writing this have not received any cal lfrom your office.

I think the Practice has extremely well educated physicians, however...doctor was late by one hour! Dr. Reddy is brilliant but, his bedside manner suffers a bit. I prefer a doctor w a personality & engaging but, if he or she is a great trustworthy doctor, I can handle his lack of polish & blank personality. It’s hit & miss w most of these doctors & if you’re lucky to find one w both excellent credentials & a pulse, hang onto them!! Staff is great & Laura is a jewel!! We will keep going for now!

I had a gastric bypass 5 years ago and recently, sever stomach pain caused me to be hospitalized. I am new to the Houston area and had not yet explored my options for a digestive health physician. Dr. Hamat was the doctor assigned to diagnose and treat me during my hospital stay. He is very knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manner. Dr. Hamat will be my permanent digestive health doctor.

These doctors are only in in it for the money. I even had to report them to my insurance company for patient negligence. They treated horribly in hospital and never calls back.

I have been going to Dr. Hamat for a couple of years now and I’m very happy. Staff is great and courteous. I’m always in and out in a timely manner. Most importantly I feel like he listens. Great choice for a doctor!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Reddy for probably 25 yrs. While I love Dr. Reddy, he has begun to limit his time in his practice, meaning he is out of the country or not in his practice more than he is in. In the last month, I had to go to the hospital for severe stomach pain in upper abdomen region. Cats can done shower some swelling in intestines and I was told to follow up with Gastro doc. I did so and heres what happened. Never saw a doctor for problem, Laura PA said to have endoscopy. Since Dr. Reddy was not available, I had procedure with Dr. Shaw. He told me and my husband that I had a polyp in intestine and some irritation in my stomach. . He said he did do biopsy but was not comfortable removing polyp because it was in a bloody place. He referred me back to Dr. Reddy and that was it. He never told me about any meds I would be taking or anything else. After not being called for a couple of days, I called to leave message for Dr. Reddys assistant. I was was not happy that no one had followed up with me. Laura, the PA returned my call and began to defend their actions saying we normally follow up with people after two days and she began to tell me that I would be taking several new meds. she said doc told me I had erosions in stomach and I would be taking several meds for that, nausea, and a new med for constipation that works better for my situation. At that point I had not gone to bathroom for 5 days. I was concerned but continued with her protocol. This is the eighth day and still no movement. Laura began to blame me saying that I was not interested in taking that family of meds, which I was taking for 3 days straight with an added laxative, and no results. When I told Laura that she was lying about me not wanting to take the new meds because I clearly was, she hung up on me. Why are these people not seeing a red flag. There is a problem here and they are not addressing it.

I was skeptical about going to this practice based just on some of the reviews. However I decided to call as they were reasonably close to where I live. I must say I could not be happier with their services. I left a message after hours and they called me first thing in the morning. I was able to schedule my visit within 24 hrs and get right on in which is unheard of in most specialty practices. I was treated with respect from the moment I walked in and checked in at the front desk. Within 15 mins I was called back and seen by his assistant Sheena and she was so sweet, kind and compassionate. She was very thorough and asked me a lot of questions took my vitals. Dr. Reddy came in and went over all the notes from his assistant, asked me more questions and was able to tell me exactly what was wrong with me. He had the best bed side manner I have experienced. Very kind. I have my procedure scheduled for Friday. Now thats what I call expedited service. I could not have asked for a better Doc and his staff were so professional and courteous. If you are looking for the best gastro doc, do not hesitate to go her. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!

Dr Tesfay is a friendly, caring, thorough and knowledgeable medical practitioner to visit. She carefully listened to my concerns and responded with a plan for me that I could work with. I have been looking for a doctor who handles IBS-C for a long time now. I finally found one. Doctor Shah! He is such a good doctor and he spent quite a bit of time talking to me and my husband. Dr. Hamat is my physician, and he is very patient and dcplains everything thoroughly. He does not leave until he answers all your questions. His staff are just as amazing! Patient, kind, and working hard to assist in every manner. Im lucky to find this location for my needs.

Dr Hamet is amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable and is straight up with you about your issues. We live 3 hrs away and still use him. Highly highly recommend.
