My experience with Dr. Kim today left me feeling uneasy and upset. I brought a list with the names of medications Ive used to treat my eye pain the past couple months along with my symptoms, and she was inattentive and rushed. As I was explaining my recent hospital visit due to the severe eye pain she snapped STOP TALKING and after she took a look in my eye she mentioned how she could have looked in my eyes without knowing any symptoms and figured out if there was anything wrong which came off as arrogant. Did not answer any questions throughly and I probably spent more time waiting for her than visiting her. Only reason I leave one star is because the staff was friendly. If you want an attentive doctor look elsewhere.

Very professional and well organized (I went to the new Sugar Land location). They have the most modern eye imaging techniques I have ever seen. Dr Kim is super nice and so is the staff assisting her - especially Ms Erika. Everything was excellent - the checkin, health history check, dilation, imaging, doctor exam, prescriptions, payments and follow up. Most records are electronic. They are a well run business in addition to being a doctors office!

I give Dr kim a 3 star rating because she reattached my retina which saved my vision and I am very grateful. However, I have had 3 more detachments since then one of which was the same eye she had fixed in the past(redetached) after I had nickel. The main reason for me givibg this review ia I have delt with her many many times and peraonally I never got any feeling of comfort or care more of a robot analytical type person that seemed like she was in a rush. Not something you want when your 20-30years old and facing potentially going completly blind. I have delt with all the doctors here and they are all good but in my opinion dr major was the best results and has a very diwn to earth kind personal type attitude that seems like he cares and takes time to explain your situation in detail.

Doctor Kim is really good but unfortunately they need to have an administrative staff better organized. Calling -back Turn arounds and even answering the phones, General communication with nurses need a lot of improvement.

I was diagnosed with macular degeneration (wet type) approximately 6 1/2 years ago by my primary eye doctor. She immediately sent me to Dr. Rosa Kim. I have been under the care of Dr. Kim since. She has been a god-send. She has been able to stabilize the sight in my bad eye and also keeps excellent tabs on the sight in my other eye. My treatment started with an injection every 4 weeks. I can now go 12 weeks between injections. I trust Dr. Kim implicitly and would not be comfortable seeing anyone else. She also has a wonderful staff in the Sugar Land office. They are competent, professional and friendly.

Dr. Kim did my detached retina surgery 8 months ago and did an amazing job. No problems since then. It was a tricky surgery because my retina had been detached for 5 days. I loved her care, her willingness to answer questions and her personal professionalism. I highly recommend her and Retina Consultants of Houston.

I have diabetic retinopathy and have seen 4 different doctors at Retina Consultants. Dr. Wykoff is outstanding in every way. Dr. Chen is competent, but seems a bit impatient with questions. Both of those drs. administered shots to me with no pain or problems. Dr. Wong is very friendly and patient with questions. He has not administered a shot in my eye yet, so I have no opinion yet on his skill level on that. Now to Dr. Rosa Kim. I had a bleed, for which she administered a shot. Before the shot she saturated my eye more than once with betadine. The shot was done well, but I was given no instructions or information about what to do if complications arose. Shortly after leaving I began to experience excruciating pain in that eye, and I have a high pain tolerance. This had never happened with the other drs. & shots. Ive had 11 surgeries, and this pain was only 2nd to when I ruptured a disc in my neck. When I finally got someone on call at 11:30 that night, they said it was b/c she had saturated it with betadine, which causes intense dry eye & can cause a scratched cornea. So I had to return the following day to get an exam, only to find out that using that much betadine is AGAINST STANDARD PROTOCOL (none of the other drs. do) and that she SHOULD HAVE given me an instruction sheet about possible problems after the procedure. In addition to this, she is abrupt, has no patience with questions, and borders on rude. I will NEVER see her again. Maybe shes forgotten the oath to FIRST DO NO HARM. P.S. As I said earlier, all the other doctors appear very competent, as do the office staff.

It is a shame that truly caring about and listening to your patients is no longer a priority for some doctors. Dr. Kim was VERY rushed, refused to listen, and would not take the time to explain the diagnosis even though I explained to her that I was very concerned, scared and in pain. You are better off finding a specialist with a smaller office that will take the time to make you feel like a human being instead of a number and additional $$$ from the insurance company. And unfortunately, the standard of treatment of patients trickles from the top ... her staff were cold, uncaring and robotic as well.

Dr Kim misdiagnosed me with macular degeneration. I did a lot of research and had a lot of questions, because I was too young to have it and had none of the risk factors. She was completely dismissive of my questions to the point of being downright rude. I proceeded to have to get a $3000 shot in my eyeball once a month for 13 months. Eventually, I saw one of her colleagues who in 5 minutes changed my diagnosis to Central Serous Retinopathy (a self-limiting condition) and stopped the shots. Here I am 6 years later with perfect eyesight.
