Dr. Now is one of the best in the business. He explains very thoroughly and is very upfront. He has good doctor manner and cares for his patients. His staff is well and beyond and love it and plan to revisit soon.

I absolutely love the My 600-LB Life shows and how honest Dr. Nowzardan is. What a great doctor. Not sugarcoated, very blunt, exactly what we need in a doctor/leader!

This place is dirty and needs some updating. Theres old magazines in the waiting area and a broken vase with some old, dusty flowers in it. The pictures on the wall are depressing and the carpet is dirty. The women running the front are rude and talk loudly about other patients. Can we say HIPAA violation? Dr. Now is friendly but always have to wait at least an hour to see him.

Dr nowzaradan does very good job changing people life. To Lose weight. I really enjoy watching my 600 pound life TV show on TLC. People have to make a change for their self and wanting help to make that change. I know sometimes he is harsh on the show or in person in general. Some people do not want to listen and so he gets frustrated. And I think people are wasting his time. Keep up good work dr nowzaradan . I hope he will come out with some new episode soon.

I love his show! I’ve been binge watching it and it inspired me to lose weight. I’ve lost 12 pounds over the last 3 months

I went to Dr. Now and he gave me a riddle and dismissed me. I never heard from the clinic again. I wasnt going to let his rejection of me bring me down. Im now trying to lose weight on my own. Im not guaranteed money and 600 lbs so maybe thats why he wasnt interested.

I’ve mad numerous calls to Dr Nows office speaking to the office workers telling them my history. I’ve had 30+ surgeries and procedures because of the extreme issues I’ve had with the complications I’ve went thru since my gastric bypass in 2008. The first 2 ladies I spoke with were nice enough to listen & give me a little info. I know what is expected to be a PT of Dr Now especially being an out of state PT. I just needed as much info as possible & also asked if there was a way I could send my medical records there & have a zoom meeting with the doctor so I could see if I could not only commit to the money it would take to be seen, travel expenses, hotel stays, I assumed Dr Now would be agreeable to that. Well some man came on the phone and he said his name was Nowzardan so I asked if it was his son because I didn’t know who he could be. He was extremely short with me, shot me down because of me being from VA and having out of state insurance. I explained to this man that Dr Now was my last hope, I will literally lose my life if the complications are not fixed. I’ve lost down to 70lbs 3x and have spent months and months about half of my adult life in and out of hospitals and facilities, live with f the sing tubes, all liquid diet. Now again I’m rapidly losing weight because the stricture in my stomach is closed off so nothing can pass thru the intestines. Each month I have to have a scope done to temporarily stretch open the stomach so any nutrition can pass thru. I’m 36 I have no quality of life and all the doctors I’ve seen have tried from here to Atlanta to see if a doc will take me on but all day I’m to complicated of a PT and don’t want to be liable. No one will help me, I will die because of this, I could show pics showing me 70lbs, my organs shutting down, what I’ve been thru no person should have too. And all I need is a competent doctor to care enough to help me. I’m told a revision or complete reversal is needed and God willing that could fix my stomach. A reversal would mean weight gain but they could at least get me back to as close as before th GB as possible and that’s all I can hope for. Whoever this man was I spoke with was not doc Now, and he had the worst bedside manner I’ve dealt with in a long time. No kindness, no warmth in his voice he simply said “We don’t correct other surgeons MISTAKES”I felt like the life went out of me, any hope just gone. My career has been in the medical field until my malnutrition and complications left me disabled, when u deal with someone who calls hoping for help even if u can’t help them u don’t treat them like they’re not even human. If I had to move to Texas and pay out of pocket we would’ve made it happen. So now I am left never being able to maintain a healthy weight, severely malnourished living off a J feeding tube, ulcers, so much scar tissue, procedure after procedure just to be able to live. Life is passing me by until my body will give out.I guess I am a lost cause and someone’s MISTAKE.I guess kindness isn’t in that mans vocabulary, if I had been speaking to a potential PT on the phone and told me what I said even knowing that facility couldn’t help I would have still said I’m so sorry u have to deal with that, I’ll pray for u, and I wish u the best. ANYTHING besides calling them a mistake and when I said “I’m going to lose my life because of this” he immediately said “Nooo u just have to find a local doctor we can’t help u” CLICKShamefulAnd I doubt Dr Now even has a clue this happened at all so I put no fault on him or the female workers I spoke with so to whoever the man was I spoke to for about 2 whole mins who never gave me a chance at all I hope one day he learns that spreading kindness feeds the soul and it always comes back to u. And he’s a sad misrepresentation for such a highly thought of surgeon such as dr Now.

I have been watching 600lb life since its beginning. I was a 58 300lb man with a serious drug addiction. In 2015 I finally got clean and just celebrated 6 years clean and sober. In 2018 I decided I was ready to lose the weight and get healthier.Ive watched and listened to Dr. Nows advice hes given to so many people and put myself on an 1800 calorie high protein, low fat and low carb diet and began going to the gym. Im happy to say that if you listen to Dr Now and do what he says, and please remember that weighing, measuring and tracking your meals is vital to not overeat, you can achieve the goals you set and you CAN lose weight.After 2 years of this diet and exercise plan I just recently had a weigh in and a 9 skin fold caliper test done. I now weigh 170lbs and my body fat percentage is at 14%, thats an astonishing 122lb weight loss and approximately a 36% +/- body fat loss. Im here to tell you if I can do this you can do it too! I just wish I could get rid of all this extra skin!

It has been over a year since the surgery and I have kept the ideal weight, I feel fantastic, Im wearing the same clothing size that I wore in High School, I am 50, and I fell like a teenager, my Diabetes is gone, my cholesterol is on its ideal level, I stop snoring, I feel much healthier than ever before, He is a very experience Doctor, Dr, Now- My HERO👨‍🍳.

I have completed my process for surgery almost 2 months ago. I have been calling and was promised a call back over 5 times. No call back. No follow up, office staff rude and does not communicate with the patients. I’m currently looking for a new doctor to start this very hard process all over again! This was my worst experience ever with any doctors office. So unprofessional.

Never been to Houston but I have seen the show called My 600 LB Life and Dr. Now is such an amazing doctor! Especially the fact that his gives his patients (most) a 1200 calorie low carb/high protein diet and does amazing on the surgery parts of the show!

Just want to say I love Dr. Now & I love the show!!! I love his straight forward and blunt approach... I watch the show religiously... Huge fan... I live in Houston. I was sitting around the house today and decided to Google his office address and was pleasantly surprised to find out that his office is 35 minutes away from me!!! I packed the kids up in the car and we drove to see the office. When we pulled up to the office, to my surprise a film crew was standing outside with cameras talking with a woman (she is overweight, I assume she will be on the show) and a man!!! They got into a car parked right beside me and left. I spoke with a crew member and he confirmed they were filming a documentary for TLC! I was so excited!!! The office looks smaller in person. I wasnt expecting the filming crew to be there. I took a bunch of photos of the building before leaving. Kinda cool and surreal seeing it in person versus on tv!

I have been watching 600 lbs life for a long time. It inspired me to get off my but and loss weight. I followed the 1200 calorie plan. I have loss 22 pounds. I weigh what I did 10 years ago. Never really had a problem with my weight, but I love his whole persona! Hes great with his patients, and he doesnt take no BULL!! I have some excess skin from previous pregnancies where I was so small before my children were born, and thought about going to him... I love this doctor!

I have not personally experienced anything with Dr. Now, but I do watch his show, and the patients he treats. He is a very straight up, blunt, no bull, no sugar coating physician. He is compassionate, and he wants his patients to succeed and live. He will also lay down tough love when it is necessary, and he does not hold back, and does not back down when people try to give him BS, and does not let people push him around. His # 1 goal is to get his patients on the path to good health, and to lose weight, preventing them from dying as a result of morbid obesity. He is the kind of Dr every clinic and hospital need. He is not being mean when he gets tough with some of his patients, he is actually putting everything into saving them. Dr.Now deserves tremendous respect, and I wish some of the people he treats would be more appreciative of his efforts.

The advice Dr. Now gave to his clients on the show was the catalyst to me wanting to change my life. I was able to lose 280 lbs and went from 441 lbs to 160 lbs. I know this isnt the place to talk about the show, My 600-lb life, but I really have to say thank you to this man and what he does. I have been watching faithfully for the past 2 years and took everything he told each of his clients and put it into effect. 1200 calories a day for 2 years; high protein, less fat and less sugar. No I didnt have the gastric bypass. I did everything just from his advice. I tried reaching out to Dr. Now and called down to Houston from Indiana but got a sorta unimpressed and rude secretary, but I just hope he reads this and appreciates the love and thank you that is being directed towards him. Thank you sir for all you do and especially for the caring person you are.

I work in the hospital where the surgeries are being filmed. Every time I see Dr. Now I get star struck. He is an amazing surgeon and has saved so many lives. Unfortunately the hospital where he does his surgeries is closing so I wont be seeing him. I hope the show goes on!!!

Though never needed his services as not morbidly obese I see him to be a very caring doctor since most patients Medicaid may not be rich like mist if them his office close to where I grew up

So I Called the being of September to get some info the lady gave me some information after being put on hold several times the lady was lazy and sounded like she was asleep ! Called a few weeks after was told different than the 1st lady I think her name was melissa she was nice very helpful asked me for a few things. I called a 3rd time they did not let me speak with melissa and were very rude they transferred me to veronica and to a guy they were very rude and useful no help, the front office was very very rude and useful worst experience ever with office staff.

I am in a medically weight-loss program in Tulsa, OK but watch his television program regularly to keep myself motivated and focused on my goals. The show is very inspiring to me.

This man might have helped many but he also has hurt many my aunt was in the 400 she followed his steps (food wise) but working out was the problem she had been in a car accident a few years before and her leg was so torn and messed up the doctor reconstructed her leg but said it would be a miracle if she ever walked again and she did but with problems and her weight didn’t help any so she went to him asking to remove it he said take these test and follow the steps he laid out for her and loose this much weight before she see him again but hard to do that when all you can really do is eat right without the full on workouts like she wanted I watch her strain herself working out and doing her therapy training,even when her PT was away on holiday, but she couldnt meet his goal by his dead line and he told her no he wasn’t going to help her cause she wasn’t “helping herself” she even explained to him the complications she was dealing with and he still said no said she was lying and I know this cause I was in the room with her , no he said she said , and I couldn’t believe he could be so unwilling to help her and now she has passed because of COPD complications because of her weight. if he had said yes maybe she would still be here.

I’m obsessed with the show I recorded and watch it every night, even when I’m not over weight the show inspire me to keep a healthy life style by eating clean and exercising, I live in Houston and i would love to meet Dr. Now and take a picture with him, he’s an idol!!

I cant say Ive ever met doctor now...Im morbidly obese and I have been trying to lose weight on my own my entire life. I watched my 600lb life and I thought hey maybe I could actually have gastric bypass surgery, lose weight, and start actually living...so I contacted him. Roughly an hour later I got an email back stating that if I didnt want to be on the show that I needed to buy his book and Id lose weight. I could be wrong...I know that weight loss surgery isnt a magic solution...but it seems like the only thing that matters is the show and money...not helping people.

This review is on his staff. Your job is dealing with over weight patients. You work for a bariatric surgeon!!! These patients get enough dirty looks from strangers they don’t need to get them from the assistants there that are getting paid to “help” them. If you don’t like your field find a different one. I cannot believe they get this type of treatment from people that see these situations everyday.

My review isnt on the Doctor. My review is on his Staff. I called to get some information and try and tell him my case. I spoke with his staff ROSIE who wasnt helpful! She sounded like she hated her job and miserable. She was just trying to cut it short.

I had the weight loss surgery the gastric sleeve by another doctor. Two weeks after surgery I had a leak from the surgery. I was immediately put into the hospital and surgery was performed. After the surgery I was immediately sent to Methodist Hospital in Houston. I saw a doctor there for two months where I seem to be getting worse. I was referred to Dr Now and my first visit was in July. Dr. Now and his team was at the hospital until late in the night taking care of me. My husband could call him at 2 am and he would return his call within minutes. I believe Dr. Now saved my life and I would refer anyone considering having weight lost surgery or if you have complications from a surgery to become a patient of Dr. Now.

Dr. Nowzaradan is the best in weight loss surgery. He is honest and he wants all his patients to be successful in their weight loss goals and overall health! Great Staff!
