I cant say enough good things about this salon! Ive been coming here for about 2.5 years. I typically see Alyssa but I have seen a few other ladies as well, and they are all excellent and professional! Alyssa is a delight to talk to, and she takes a real interest in helping me maintain my hair at home. Alyssa recommends products in brands I like that have helped me combat dry scalp and breakage, and shes helped me care for my hair through pregnancy and postpartum hair issues.For the great service, you really cant beat the price. If its still too pricey, you can wait for a gift card sale and get a little more bang for your buck. Theres no pressure to buy their products - but if you want to, they have sales on products too. I love a good deal, and I love my hair, and this is hands-down the best salon Ive been to!

45 mins drive was so worth it!!! I had really bad haircut somewhere else but Angelis fix it perfectly and I love my hair so muchhh. Will be coming back!

Extremely disappointed with my haircut I have longer strands just sticking out wen I straighten my hair or even when I put it in a ponytail I was supposed to have a layered medium bob but instead I got layers in the back of my head only not on the sides. The stylist even asked me “would you like your hair to blend in with the front hair?” I guess that should have been my red flag 🤦🏽‍♀️ I hesitate so much to go back and fix it with them that now it’s been a month and I’m still trying to find a stylist I can trust.

Angeles Vasquez has been coloring, cutting and treating my hair for years. She Knows what she is doing. Plus, she’s Hilarious!! I’ve recommended dozens of people over the years and my whole family comes to her for everything. No doubt, Angeles is the best.

This is a really nice yet affordable salon. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer cold and hot beverages. Samantha has been amazing each time we see her, she has been cutting my daughters hair and always does an amazing job.

I found this pace because all the bookings for my hair stylist at visible changes were full. I loved the reviews, but I was still spectacle on how many good reviews they had. I said heck let me give them a try. Booking an appointment was easy, super friendly and informative. I had booked an appointment with ANGELES. The minute I walked in the door I noticed there wasnt much of a place to sit but it didnt matter because as soon as I checked in Angeles greeted me and asked me in detail about my preferences and what kind of hair cut I was looking at getting, the type of hair I had whether it was oily dry or in between. To make this short I absolutely fell in love with the place and Angeles for making it such an amazing experience. I left the place knowledgeable, and I definitely will be bring my daughter soon. LOVED MY HAIR!!

Was very nervous to try a new place. Went inside it was very nice. I saw Christina who definitely did an amazing job. I am more happy with my haircut than I have been in a couple years. It felt amazing and there was no more dead ends. She got the hair cut exactly how I wanted it. If you go anywhere go here and see her she will give your hair life again! Definitely would recommend

Im usually very picky about my hair dresser. I always choose Japanese hair dresser to cut mine, because the Japanese really know how to cut my hair with beautiful layers.When I moved to Houston from San Francisco 2 years ago and hunt for a good salon, I was pretty skeptical about Innovative salon, because I always go to a very expensive salon when I was in SF, but I chose Innovative salon because it is the closest one from my house. Well it doesnt hurt to try... you can always find another salon if you dont like this one, thats what I told myself. So I went there, and I chose James to cut my hair and my husband loves it. The price is actually really cheap for the good job that hes done. I always have to pay at least $70-$100 for the Japanese Salon just to cut my hair, but at Innovative salon is only $40. And this morning, James called me and told me that he wants to give me 50% discount so I only have to pay $20+tips (always a good tip for a great hair dresser like James).Seriously I recommend James to cut your hair. Good job, good service and reasonable price :)

Very good service!! I’ve been cutting my hair with Angeles and my hair feel her love and it’s also growing longer.Excellent and very profesional at what she does.The times I have been there the other girls seem to be professional about what they are doing too. And I also like that they are not gossiping with each other just like my previous stylist did.

I cheated on my best friend whose a stylist and I dont regret it! I got my hair colored, a conditioning treatment and a haircut and it was all a great experience! Samantha is GREAT! She really listened to what I wanted and took into consideration I have thinning hair and made adjustments when cutting. This is one of my favorite haircuts! And James gives the best washes! I have been to see James 4 times now and each time I have left with a wonderful color and/or highlights. He is sought after, so make your appt well in advance as he is a master colorist.He also does wonders with scissors and I have never been disappointed with the cut he tells me he thinks I should have, because I can never make up my mind and he tells me what he thinks would be appropriate for me. I love the salon. Its always clean and the staff is so friendly and outgoing. Very helpful and patient. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who appreciates todays style and design.

I had been desperately looking for a stylist to call my own lately, which almost seemed hopeless. I was recommended to Melissa by a friend and decided to try her out. I had very dark hair and my goal was to potentially go blonde. We are now working on our second session and I must say it has been amazing!! Melissa laid out a plan for me and we are slowly but surely making progress. My hair has now got to a much more lighter tone from when I first came in ! Im excited to see the final finish. Brought my wifes sunscreen from her jacket to the car. Kiara had my wife sit there for 30 minutes before telling her she cant work on her because the man you were with, stole something. I went in several months ago, in May, and got an absolutely amazing cut by Christina. I am with the other 2 reviewers who commented on her skills! She was GREAT! I have very thick and long hair and I always feel uncomfortable by stylists comments oh wow, you have a lot of hair or have you ever thought about cutting your hair short, it would make me feel like I was burdening them. Anyway, Christina handled my hair like a PRO. Its obvious she has many years of experience. I just WISH she was still there - which is why I am giving this place 2 stars. The people are nice, its clean and its close to me but unfortunately the rest of the stylists dont measure up to her level of experience. I visited the salon again in Sept just to get an updo done and was disappointed. They got the job done eventually, but it took 3-4 stylists to do it. If anyone knows how to get in contact with Christina PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post her info, shes the best stylist Ive seen in years! If Christina was still at this salon it would definitely get all 5 stars.

After a lot of research and reading the previous reviews I chose this salon & was not disappointed! The staff was extremely polite and Judith did a fantastic job on my hair. Theyre a little pricey but I didnt complain as I was having 11.5 inches cut off and wanted it done right. I will be back!

Ok world, listen up! If a haircut is what your looking for than look no further. I am very picky with or with whom does my hair. My hair is really thick so people have to keep that in mind when styling or cutting my hair. Well homegirl did just that. Angeles is now my go to. She is sweet, educational, and friendly. I left their with some knowledge about my hair, left well satisfied and confident. Did I mention that I really wasn’t sure about the look I wanted. Well I knew I wanted a bob cut but didn’t know what kind would flatter my face. But sure enough, she figured it out and I left satisfied. One very happy customer! I was trying to grow out a color my ombre had a bit too much gray...lol. I was ready for a change, found the perfect place. Joe was great to work with. Cristina was an expert, good communication, funny and damn she has skills. I love my color and its been a long time since I found someone that has the right cutting skills. I have someone who I’ve been going to since I was a little kid bc I’m very particular with my hair and I don’t just trust anyone to touch it. She moved further towards Katy and I had still been driving 40 mins there bc of that. However, I needed a hair cut badly and I really didn’t have the time to drive the distance...so found this place online and decided to step out of my comfort zone and I’m so so happy I did! Angeles was absolutely amazing! She listened to everything I wanted and took her time even if it meant going a little over an hour. I also had my hair dyed purple before I came in and she was very considerate of that. She made sure to check the details of my hair with me to make sure I was completely happy and when I made minor suggestions she agreed too as if we were already thinking the same thing before even saying it out loud! ONE OF MY FAVORITE HAIRCUTS I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Im so happy! I also got compliments on it and even after it’s grown out it still looks and blends beautifully!! I can’t stop messing with it! TL;DR - I will be coming back to Angeles in a couple of weeks (and for eternity now!!) for another trim, definitely before Christmas and I really can’t wait!! So happy I’ve found my new go-to salon/hair stylist! Thank you! 💜

After struggling for years to find a good hair stylist. I finally found one. I highly recommend Kiara as does a fabulous job. A year ago I went into get my hair cut not having a clue what I wantee, my hair was thinning and unhealthy. I wanted a different cut but I still wanted to keep my length. She gave me the perfect cut. A year later I still return to see Kiara and my hair is a lot healthier.

No, dont get your hair styled here. No. I got my hair done for my wedding and cried 3 times with the hairdresser saying I needed to calm down bc I was stressing HIM out. I was polite and tried no to be one of THOSE customers, but he didnt listen to me. I asked my friend to get another stylist and that girls REFUSED TO HELP THE CRYING CUSTOMER. Who does that? I dont know about other services, but I wont be back to find out...

I originally had an appointment with Melissa who I had chosen based on reviews. Come to find out she changed her schedule during the time between when I made my appointment and when I showed up and wasnt even there but didnt bother to have me reschedule- or even give me a heads up. Totally unacceptable- in most cases I would have left and never came back but I desperately needed a haircut.I have had bad luck finding a new stylist over the past year, but I ended up having Kiara, who was FANTASTIC. She was super friendly, attentive, and really nailed my haircut. She kept checking in to make sure I liked how it was turning out instead of just going to town and keeping me in the dark til the end. This was super appreciated given my last couple experiences at other salons. I will definitely be back thanks to Kiara, I cannot stress enough how absolutely wonderful she was.The salon itself had a great atmosphere. They offered a drink as soon as I came in which was super sweet, and were very apologetic on bahalf of the absantee stylist. The prices were also SUPER reasonable. Overall a wonderful experience despite the initial hiccup.Bottom line, give this place a shot and I dont think you will be disappointed. if you want a great style by a great person ask for kiara! If you want someone who wont respect your time and will pawn you off to someone else without notice, Melissa might be there too I guess.

I Had the worst experience!!! Yes just like you I read the reviews before going most of the reviews are lies!!! These people dont know what they are doing! I went to get my hair colored to a nice blonde but instead I ended up with an egg yellow hair and 220.00 charge!!! The lady Judith wanted to charge me more money to keep bleaching my hair!!!! 3 times they bleached it!!! They ruined my hair!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT GO IF YOU DONT WANT TO END UP WITH FRIED HAIR!!!! I WAS SOOO DISAPPOINTED!!!!!😞

I came across Innovative Looks while going to the AMC. I normally go somewhere in River Oaks or Uptown Galleria but its really too far for me to drive since I live in Northwest Houston. I am very nervous whenever I have my hair cut and picky about who does it. Judith who is also the Director is my hairdresser. She not only has cut and styled my hair but added blond highlights. Many years ago I was a professional actress and had my hair styled for the stage and camera by the best, including celebrity hairstylist Jose Eber who created Farrah Fawcetts famous hairstyle. I would put Judith in the same category. She is a true Master unlike others who call themselves that. When she gets done with me I feel like I did 25 years ago! In fact, one of my friends told me I looked like a Europeon fashion model! And she is a lovely person. I highly recommend Judith and her entire team.
