I just had the BEST, most relaxing massage of my life! It’s that situation where you want to tell everyone you know so they’re not missing out on the experience. I loved that it wasn’t a “one size fits all” massage- she asked me questions about my needs and wants and then did exactly that. Everything from the linens that were used, to the warmed massage table, it felt like I was wrapped in my own little cocoon. The ambiance of the house London Underground is in is spot on. I desperately needed to find someone to help with a poor haircut that I had received ten/twenty minutes prior to calling London Underground where I was squeezed in (when I definitely didn’t have to be). It was my first experience at this salon. The staff were so welcoming! As soon as I came in Samantha promptly greeted me and took me back immediately. Braelynn did an amazing job on my balayage. The conversation was great! The whole vibe was awesome. Lots of natural light & cool decor. I would absolutely recommend this place! I will be keeping this as my new go-to.

Love love love the atmosphere. My massage therapist was great. She did an amazing job getting the kinks out my body. Not a typical relaxing massage. After the fact it was super relaxing. Pain free for days now. So happy with results of my deep tissue massage. Would recommend to anyone looking for deep tissue.

I have been seeing Christine for over 10 years. Even after moving an hour away, I still drive out to see her for my hair. Her technique for extensions is very specialized and it is rare to find it anywhere else in the city. I highly recommend Christine and her salon. The quality and service is exceptional.

Absolutely fantastic! I came to Christine by recommendation, and I had huge problems. I had been to another salon and said i wanted to go back to my natural color and ended up with an orange disaster. Anyway, both Christine and Cuyler are AMAZING and commenced with the repair and correction of my destroyed hair. The services were quick, but thorough and efficient. My hair will still need attention over the next several months to truly fix all the damage done to it, but its 100x better than when I walked into their business just a couple hours before. I couldnt have gone to a better establishment. Youre in great hands here!

The place was dirty and there was Absolutely horrible customer service. I’ve never been so disrespected in my life as a paying customer. Worst $55 I’ve ever spent. The manager (the fat one with a room to the right on the first floor) was a nightmare and extremely rude and incompetent. I will Be leaving a review on every outlet that I can! Making it my business to alert any and all. There are way better places to go where you will be treated like a human being and like a valued customer.

I needed a salon to go get my hair done since it had been 2 years since I got my hair done due to a medical issue I was battling and my hair had fallen out so I was worried my stylist wouldn’t understand my issue and hair length as well as my vision but boy was I wrong odie truly was a god sent angel we went over my vision I wanted and talked about all kinds of hair options for my length she installed extensions dyed my hair and did a straightening treatment and she did way better than I expected I’m so amazed of how great my hair came out! The past two years I’ve felt like I lost myself and was uncomfortable with my hair and now I’m so so so happy thank you so much odie. She also got me into Kevin Murphy products that now I‘m totally in love with they make my hair feel great and they smell awesome.BEST makeover on my hair ever thanks odie!!!

My hair was definitely in need of a fix up, and Odie did that and then some! I came in for a balayage before going back to work, really hoping to get it done correctly and beautifully unlike my previous experience at Visible Changes. I showed Odie pictures of exactly what I wanted, so she perfectly crafted my hair taking in account details like my facial structure, hair texture, and even eye color. Besides the balayage, my hair is super frizzy and her cut made it look natural and healthy. I’ve NEVER had my hair look this good! Friends, family, and even strangers have asked me who my stylist was. So, y’all go make an appointment and ask for her- you will not be disappointed!

I told the stylist I wanted a trim and long layers and I got a straight across cut with no layers. I have been looking to find a good stylist to go to and am extremely disappointed.

Absolutely in love with this salon! The teamcreated a masterpiece with my color, cut, and having the idea to put a couple of extensions to frame my face to give my hair definition and symmetry. I am addicted and can’t wait for my hair to grow. Definitely worth the money for products and service.

Christine did an awesome job with my haircut and fit me in with little notice! They can do mens haircuts here too. Christine recommended hair products from Kevin Murphy that helped my hair become thicker and stronger. After two weeks, theres a noticeable difference and you can even see some new hair growing back. Im very happy!!

Had to post my Yelp review on Google too! I cannot say it enough but Martin is phenomenal at the work that he does!! I have been a customer of his for years and I follow him where ever he goes! He genuinely loves making me feel great! Every time I want to switch up my hair color, I allow him to do whatever he pleases because he always knows what matches me whether it be the change of season or he knows itll go great with my skin tone!! I would not even give this place a 1 star after the horrible way I was treated 3x in a row when I tried to redeem my Groupon that expired. Called 3 different times since Labor day weekend to figure out what services would qualify for the $100 that I had in credit, and the first 2x gals never called me back to follow-up. The third time, today, I was actually hung up on by the manager Samantha because she said I had an attitude and was being a - itch and would not be a good client to have anyways. WOW!!!! If your like the RUDE and Unprofessional attitude with your salon services then this might be your place.

I’ve been going to this wonderful salon for quite awhile now. I followed my stylist, Marissa, here from another salon and I’m glad she ended up here. Christine and the staff have been very hospitable to me and my girlfriend’s son, who also comes to LU for haircuts and eyebrow shaping (he has bushy eyebrows that need extra TLC). It is very reasonably priced for the quality of cuts we get, and a hair washing and a style are also included with our cuts. There is also complimentary wine and occasionally beer, which is a big plus after a long day at work! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality service!!

Christine is just amazing she is truly the best. There is no one that I trust more or have more confidence in to make my hair look amazing. Marissa at London Underground Hair Salon was great! She fixed my grown out balayage and knew exactly how to achieve the natural look I desired. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. If you havent been to the spa side, you are missing out. The Massage Therapist here gives a wonderfully relaxing massage. She combines aromatherapy with her technique and it takes the whole experience to another level. The set up of the massage room is also very cozy and relaxing. I have been coming to London Underground Hair Salon since it opened in Houston last year and LOVE it! Christine the owner is an artist and always does the best work on my hair (I get the balayage every 6 weeks with Christine). All of the stylists here are great, very client oriented, and professional. And London Underground uses the Kevin Murphy products which are the best. I highly recommend London Underground!

After having long hair for a very long time I was nervous to trust someone to make it shorter just the way I wanted. I am extremely happy Alex was the one that made it happen. He is awesome and very knowledgeable I would recommended 100% to everyone.

I used a Groupon and upgraded to a balayge. Marissa was great. She explained everything and helped me understand my hair and why products are ruining my hair. Even went back in for a Brazilian Blowout!! Which Marissa did and I love it!!The color is probably the best Ive had in a long time!! My hair doesnt feel dried out like it usually does.This is a drive for me as I live in Spring but definitely worth the drive!!I will be going back!

Unbelievable! Unprofessional. I bought a Groupon for this place. On the day of my appointment my 16 month old came down with a fever and was throwing up. I called them first thing in the morning to see if I could reschedule - the manager informed me that I was sent an email which stated the cancellation policy and since I couldnt make it to my appointment they would charge me 50% of the cost of the service. While I did not get any such email, I still (somehow) made it to their location...where they asked me to sign their cancellation policy document for future purposes...when I refused to sign the policy (since the manager had stated an email was already sent to me...)...they threatened to refuse me service and also to make a note not to provide a service to me in the future and was extremely rude and told me to leave because I was being difficult. On my way home, I noticed that they redeemed my Groupon...without actually giving me a haircut. For someone who talks about policies...the manager lacks basic human principles.

Buyer Beware!Bought Groupon for hair cut and deep conditioning. Wasn’t told till the end and I was at the front desk that I was going to be charged an additional $25 for a long hair fee. It’s not about the money, it’s about good business practices. You don’t initially look at my hair that is very long and not tell me there will be an additional $25 fee for my long hair. Something should have been said before I sat in the chair. I am happy with the trim I received, but not a fan of their business practices and telling customers at the end that we will be adding a fee for long hair. I felt trapped so Ofcourse I paid the $25 because like I said before, it’s not about the money, it’s about the principal. I shouldn’t have had to pay that fee. I won’t be going back.

First visit this past Saturday and it was well worth it. I will definitely be back to see Christine.

**UPDATE**Almost weekly, they send flash sales, because they cant fill seats. Most often, these are for specific junior level stylists. I recently booked one that did not specify a stylist, so I called and specifically booked the flash sale service with Christine a few days out.As a courtesy, I called an hour before my appointment to let them know I was available to come in early if Christine was also free. They said she was currently with another client, so I stuck to my normal appointment time. Not even 30 minutes later, I receive a call that they dont have my credit card on file and will have to cancel my appointment without it. I said, ok, no problem, Im already on my way and can give it to you then or over the phone now. They said they already gave my appointment time away... 1) Ive been here several times and no one told me they never entered my card information. 2) She had three opportunities on the phone to let me know I needed to provide that. But anyway, I said that was ok and they can schedule me with her later in the day or next week. She was booked the rest of the day and if scheduled for next week, they would not honor the sale price even though the mishap was their mistake.. Since I was upset and already on my way, I went anyway to speak to them in person.They would only let me get my hair done with Cuyler (first stylist I saw - experience mentioned below). I built my schedule around this appt, so I grudgingly did it anyway. He said he knew what I didnt like after the first experience and Christine could fix if I was unhappy this time. Christine ended up floating around with no clients, so that tells me she just didnt want to honor the sale price. Understandable, but the professional thing would have been to do the appointment you agreed to do and make it clear on the sale terms for next time.Cuyler actually did a lot better this time, but the balayage was not as blonde as I asked or showed in any of my pictures. My experience with him is still that pictures do not help him. He asked if I wanted my hair parted (as is daily) or in the middle while he was placing the lifter. I asked for his recommendation and he said middle if you want it to be more versatile. Understanding that if I dont like it, Christine will be able to fix. He confirmed this. So I went with his expert recommendation.I later called to ask if I could come back to only have him fix the placement along the part and he said he could, but would have to charge me for the full service since he asked me what I wanted in the chair. So it was a mistake to trust his recommendation.It had been 10 months since my previous balayage, but my hair looked untouched afterwards. My typically observant boyfriend had no clue I got my hair done. That evening, I visited my best friends and told them about the mess with the appointment and their response was, well, good thing you didnt get it done. I would never go back. They were shocked when I told them I did actually did get it done and spent $180 on what clearly looked like nothing.I wont be back.__________________________________________________________________First Experience:Purchased a Groupon for cut, deep conditioning and partial balayage. Vibe at the salon seemed cozy. Complimentary coffee, wine and water. First time doing blayage. Cuyler was friendly and fun to chat with. I brought 3 photos: 1 for cut & 3 for color. I asked for recommendation between partial and upgrading to full. He said he can achieve the look I want (based on photos) with a partial. I was quiet when he finished because I did not like it. He tried to fix. Christine tried to help him too, but eventually I had to go back to have Christine basically redo the whole thing. She said he didnt blend it. I could see brush strokes. Since my hair is layered and only the top was colored, it was very segmented with my dark natural hair on top and bottom with sloppy blonde in the middle. I LOVED it after she fixed it. I went back a few times for haircut and toner refresh and have been happy with it.

Really not happy with the amount of money I paid and what I got. I just moved back from Denver, and the hair salons here charge people entirely too much money for a hair cut and highlight. I shelled out over 200 bucks today, and I get into my car and my bangs looks fluffy and just not styled right. I had to go back in and apparently a trim was the answer, even though I am pretty sure an extra few seconds spent on styling or even brushing my hair (I had to brush my hair myself when I went back in the bathroom) would have done the trick. I was asked to tilt my hair back, so he ran his fingers through my hair with some product and then when I come back up that was supposed to be sufficient. Ummm..my bangs are now out of place and so is the rest of my hair. Can you not run a comb through it after you fluff my hair so it doesnt look messy? Especially since I am technically paying you for a style as well? I also get back to my place to get ready for a grad party today, and I noticed a piece of hair longer than the rest as I was doing a touch up for the party. This is unacceptable. I pay almost 300 bucks with tip for a highlight, cut, style, toner and wax. If I am going to pay you 75 bucks for a cut and style, it better be perfect. The style included. If I have to brush my own hair after the fact, then you didnt do the finishing touches right. I will not be coming back, other than the 1:30 appointment I have tomorrow to get the uneven hair piece trimmed. I could probably just chop it off myself with the kitchen scissors, but who wants to take that risk? As someone who is unemployed and was in need of a hair touch up for interviews, I am not happy about having to spend more gas money to drive to get this fixed tomorrow. I scheduled my appointment for 10 a.m. on Saturday, this is when I was available and had time for you to do my hair the way I paid for. It is annoying and inconvenient to have to drive back to get an almost 300 dollar job done correctly.Update: I went in to get the uneven hair piece fixed, and Alex (the guy who did my hair and is apparently the owner) gave me attitude and was rude. Instead of being apologetic or understanding, he decided to take a defensive tone and be combative. The girl who was there when I walked in was rude and gave me attitude as well. When I walked back in to ask for the owners name, she said Alex was the owner. Yeah, right. So they lie, too. Sorry your customers who ask for things to be done right and the way they want is an inconvenience for you guys. Yeah, you fixed what needed to be fixed, but guess what? I had to spend the extra gas money and time to get it done that way. And for Alex to be like Oh, that one little piece? no, its not one little piece. It is a piece thats uneven period. I dont care how small it is. There really isnt an excuse for it. First time in my life I had a hairdresser ask me to stand up so they can cut my hair. Either youre inexperienced, or you dont know what you are doing. Your attitude on top of that inconvenience is not needed. There are too many other hair salons in Houston for me to choose from to put up with that kind of treatment. And for you to say I will offer you a free haircut and toner to make you feel like you got your moneys worth and say it with an attitude, like I am being cheap is not right. The prices on your website do not match what you actually end up charging customers at the end of their service. I dont want you free haircut and toner. I am taking my business elsewhere where there is less attitude, better customer service and the job gets done right the first time. I dont need your excuses or the crappy attitude. And from what I can tell based on their replies to other bad reviews on here, that seems to be the way they handle things: just arguing with customers instead of showing empathy and a proper apology.Also, it looks like I have been blocked from their Facebook page in terms of leaving a review. Well, you cant do that on Yelp and Google!
