Fantastic service from this salon. Ive been looking all over for top quality color specialists in my area. I absolutely love this salon. The staff are freaking amazing. Complimentary shoulder massage and drinks served in wine glasses 🍷. Very well trained employees and fun to chat with. This was the best hair service I have ever received hands down. Beautiful atmosphere and the scalp massage when getting my hair washed almost put me to sleep it was so relaxing. I was constantly checked on and offered a beverage. Taylor did my color and lowlights/highlights and I forgot to get the business card of the wonderful woman that cut my hair. I will have to have them look her up for me when I go back in for a touch up here in a few months. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for hair services. Expect to pay for good quality work done. This is no in and out corner shop. Definitely worth the price if you care about the knowledge and training of your stylist. Id give 10 ☆ if I could.

The salon itself is top-notch and it is totally the experience/setting I want to have when I’m getting my hair done. My new stylist, Kym, is so perfect in her approach; she really wants to understand my vision, is very honest about where there may be blocks to that vision, then educated me on why AND what we could do instead in order to achieve a similar result. I’m very happy with the cut she gave me and I cannot wait to get my color done. She is the stylist I’ve always wanted to have!

This place is very nice and clean. Great customer service. I got Brenda, only for a haircut I went on Saturday September 25, 2021. And I never told her I wanted my hair straight. I only told her I wanted to get thin it out and she did say that she was straightened it out so she can see if my hair looks ok with what I told her which was long layers. I dont know what happened. But I did get charged for having my hair straight. Which I never asked her to do it. I dont know if she heard me right... im guessing miss communication?

Sara was great with the colors. And the hair dresser lady was professional too. Im happy with the results. I will be back.

Alandra is my new favorite! I remember Alan Murphy from growing up in the area - and its still a top salon many years later. I was back in Spring for a visit and my hair was in desperate need of some TLC. They were able to get me in quickly, my appointment was right on time, and now Alandra is my new favorite hair stylist. Everyone at the salon was very professional and I also appreciated that they were all wearing face coverings. Ill be back for sure!

Debbie did an amazing job of my haircut today ! I was long overdue and my hair was in major need of a restart. She made me feel comfortable and helped explain a couple solutions and reasoning of it. I have been going to Alan Murphy Salon for several years now. Andrea has been cutting my hair for the last 8+ years. I can’t imagine using someone else. Andrea always takes her time with my cut and style. She listens to what I want but will also make suggestions. She is a perfectionist at her craft and loves what she does, and it shows. My daughter loves her just as much. When she lived out of state, she’d make her appointments for cuts when she was in town. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a great stylist, you won’t be disappointed!

If you cant find a stylist to fit your needs here, then it must be impossible. But be prepared to pay Aveda pricing, which is not cheap. Both Jill and Theresa are great stylist and colorist! I have been going here for over 2 years and drive from out of town to come here! So yes, I give it 5 stars!

Just had my hair done by Sam and absolutely loved it! Sam did a great job cutting my curls! The salon was clean and everything was sanitized after each use. Super professional and great service! I will definitely be back!

Ive been coming here randomly to get products for a year, but recently received salon service. Alan Murphy is amazing!! My hair was done by Alex, and she is very down to earth and did a great job. The whole team, including the manager, has treated me better than many other places (everyone was wearing their masks, which is important since Im pregnant). Love this salon, SAM is excellent in maintaining my hair. I have been going to this salon and using SAM, by the time my hair appointment is done, my hair is BEAUTIFUL!Keratin blowout it is the best and my hair smells like watermelon and not that stinky perm product.

I have been going to Alan Murphy Salon for about 2 years. I’ve only had excellent service from everyone at the salon from the front desk to the technicians who shampoo my hair. All excellent! I use Andie for hair color and Alli for hair cuts and I’m so pleased with every visit. I get a lot of compliments on my hair and I credit these skilled stylists for these compliments. I absolutely love coming to Alan Murphy Salon. Teresa does an amazing job on my color. As i am aging.. dont tell anyone.... but we had to make an adjustment with the low light this time. It looks sooooo good. Ive had many compliments since my visit. I then sit in Sams chair. She has magic scissors. Plus, she was able to blow dry my hair! A big bonus for me. She takes the time to listen to your needs and then precision cuts my hair to achieve maximum volume and easy styling. The salon has also been updated and is definitely upscale with very personable staff and great hair/makeup products!I would definitely recommend Samantha Banker and Alan Murphy Salon to anyone looking for a great experience with talented staff!

I recently started coming here and I absolutely love it! The staff is beyond wonderful. I first had a consultation with Theresa to discuss color options for my incoming grey hair, the consultation was free and I really felt like she listened to what I wanted. Alan Murphy salon has the best employees and stylist, but I personally would like to make a huge shout out to BEVERLY VILLA.She was so polite and very professional, didn’t have to wait at all. I had the most relaxing shampoo experience, and she listened to my concerns about my hair and gave me her professional opinion as well, and this was no doubt the best hair cut and hair appointment I have ever had in my life. I’ve been coming here for 9 years. My old stylist left the salon, and I was introduced to Sam. She’s the greatest. It’s nice to just sit down and not have to explain what I need done with my hair. Lol. Although, we have tried a few different things, and it always turns out great. She definitely keeps me coming back. Great personality as well!!! As a man from a small town who is used to barber shops, I was leary upon making my appointment. Upon arrival, the young lady in the front was very nice. My stylist, Sara D made the whole experience very comfortable. I had a shampoo, cut and color. She was very knowledgeable, great conversationalist, and did an awesome job. Will definitely be making another appointment for the next time I’m in the area. Oh, and the beer was very cold and refreshing. Thanks Sara!

Best salon in the area. Everyone is kind and helpful, and their stylists are excellent. I started visiting Kaela for color and Courtney for cuts after a stylist at another salon caused significant damage to my hair. I couldnt be happier with my experience with them. My hair looks healthy again and the color is fantastic.

If you are looking for a salon that treats you like their #1 client and will give you the 1st class treatment then look no further than Alan Murphy salon. Samantha is incredible at what she does and takes pride in her work. What sets her apart is her communication skills and ability to understand completely what your needs are before ever getting started. She will always leave you feeling like your money was well spent. Shes a turnkey stylist that does cut and color and excells at both. She is usually booked up for at least a week or two so you will need to plan in advance but I promise shes worth the wait!

For the last 15 years I’ve had the same stylist. When I moved to Houston I was very nervous and honestly scared to try a new place. I made an appointment at Alan Murphy and hoped for the best, and let me tell you, I got the best. I walked in with a picture, and walked out with everything I could ever hope for. I came to Alli for the first time after I had a bad color and cut done at another salon. I told her exactly what I wanted and she was able to fix my hair without damaging it. OH MY GOSH! This place saved me!! I had a very bad experience at another salon and much of my long beautiful hair broke off so short on one side. I was so afraid to go anywhere. I finally called and made an appointment. Marissa did a fantastic job with the cut to help blend all the broken hair and Kaela did an amazing job with the color and conditioning treatment. I am so excited. Yes, my hair is now short but I am so excited about the process we have planned to get my hair healthy again. I will NEVER go to another salon again!! I would highly recommend this Salon. Like most people who have probably had a bad cut or color at some point in their life, you are always hesitant to try a new salon or stylist. But I can assure you, coming to this salon, they will put you at ease. Yessica did my color and she was very helpful and experienced in helping me pick the right shade and process for my particle hair. And then there is Sam.... I cannot say enough great things about Sam. She took the time to listen to my issues with my hair, listened to how I explained my life style and lack of time to spend on my hair. She then guided me through what she thought was best based on all I told her, and I couldnt have agreed more. We all come to salons with pictures of what we want and sometimes those styles dont really work well for our hair, so instead of just doing as I thought I wanted from a picture, she listened and help educate me on what we both agreed would be best. I left a VERY happy customer and will definitely be returning. Oh and the lovely neck and hand massage that came with it with wonderful and relaxing! I’ve entrusted my hair care to Alan Murphy Salon for years and worked with many of their colorists and stylists. Each visit has been a great experience from start to finish. Ariel and Andrea recently helped me transform my look after I was laid off and, as a long-time blonde with purple lowlights who became a dark brunette, I’m very happy with the result. Allison Stanley is awesome at doing hair!She’s done color and blow outs for events for me. In one case, the blow out held for a few days through travel and Mardi Gras partying.She’s also a really great listener and fantastic at delivering what you need for your hair in the long term.I would definitely recommend her to try if you’re looking for a new stylist to handle your needs! She’s also been at this salon for a few years and really seems to mesh with the positive culture at the salon. You can really tell she enjoys her craft!
