I was not aware of the side withdrawal effects that come with quitting alcohol, and how dangerous it is when someone is dependant and quits from one day to another.Luckily i found this facility were professional employee Ramona returned my call from. She honestly, genuinely and willingly took her time to answer all the questions that I had and she guided me through the process of how to quit alcohol in a healthy way.Ramona successfully found a detox program that will help me deal with my horrible alcohol addiction and with the professional help that I need.Although Ramona doesnt directly deal with alcohol withdrawal problems. She was able to identify and guide me to the right person. Thanks Ramona and The Council on Recovery for all of your help!

I love this facility! It’s super clean & organized! Without going into details, my teen daughter started counseling here and it was the best decision we ever made! ❤️

This organization is great! The facility and parking feel safe & very clean. The staff at the front desk are always courteous and helpful. They offer many amazing services, I have felt very welcomed. The only bad thing I can say is that in order to speak with anyone you must leave a message any time u call, they do call back within a day or 2, but if you miss their call you have to leave a message again and wait again a day or 2. It has taken me a week to finally speak with a person.

Terrible !!terrible ! terrible.. So I called here for my 1st appointment which was today. After booking my first app which was today I was hesitant because of some of the bad reviews. Guess what I was right!!!!A lady called me today that the person I was suppose to see called in sick. Is therapy something to play with? no mam this was the best thing that could have happened. This was the wrong place to start she express no empathy or concern then offer an app days later or for next week really? I am glad that app was cancel on their end I understand people get sick but should have at least sounded like she care but didnt said nothing felt nothing her responses where flat. Booking an appointment with people who do care to help me.

This place needs someone to come in and take a long hard look at the overall state of the organization. The leadership here is terrible and has been for some time. I suggest anyone that is considering donating to this agency to do your homework. The President is a narcissistic dictator who barely goes in to the office. Research his salary, not just what initially can be seen but really look deeper into the various funds. Then do the same with the salaries of other people in top management positions, including the VP. This is a non profit agency and donors expect their money to go towards services, not to line their pockets. Its actually quite offensive. Why has its reputation deteriorated so significantly? Why is overall staff morale so low? Read the Glassdoor reviews from actual staff. This agency used to be a pillar of the recovery community, but unfortunately this is no longer the case.

A few years ago, this facility was a Godsend. If you have a willingness to change, then a blessing awaits you! We will help you. Some of the employers are addicts too. Phillip Cariello was a dedicated counselor there who also became my successful friend.

We were at a loss on how to help my husbands father. This place was such a blessing and God send for us. They helped him through each process. He is doing great now and we will forever be grateful.

Staff was very rude. They offer no direct services to clients. They host meetings for recovery groups and motivate you to go— but they don’t have clinicians on staff to help you like the last place I tried. I was disappointed with my experience and found the staff to be lackluster all around.

Such bad organization, I went for my iop interview in May and it took all the way until the end of June to get me into a dbt group not even the actual iop. The problem was the communication on part of the staff. Never kept me up to date and everything was very sketchy. I received numerous apology texts from them, but nothing ever changed...instead I was taken out of group after the first meeting and was just now in JULY scheduled for a follow up appointment to discuss what the plan moving forward was supposed to be. (what we pretty much discussed the very first day i set foot in the building) This is just my experience and I hope it helps people who start going through similar experiences to not waste yalls time.

A wonderful healing environment, solid whole-person treatment, and accommodating finance options for those who are ready to take a first step (or a next step) through a healing journey.

I was ultimately disappointed. I went in with a problem, an issue in hopes of getting help. The woman Chandler was unbecoming of her position. She would roll her eyes when Id speak to her, and gave me the excuse I should drink more water and flush everything out of my system in hopes of a faster recovery. Seriously unacceptable. I will find someplace that might CARE more because of this woman!

I came across this place having done alot of research into substance abuse treatment centers here in the Houston area. I came across them through google and googlemaps (clicking on people also search for). And I think some of the places that the SAMHSA helpline recommended, also referred me as well. They were very helpful, and courteous, and were very receptive to helping me find a detox and treatment center that was right for me, given my history, employment, and financial status.I came here to have an assessment/interview, so that they could find the right treatment for my needs. Try to get here around 8 because they can only have so many clients, and its first come first serve. I waited a little while, but it was definitely worth it, for helping me get my life back on track.I really appreciate what these people are doing here. I really dont know what I would be doing if I didnt come across them. I recently lost my job because of health problems with my addiction, and am getting kicked out of my living arrangement with my parents. So everything is getting serious, and I came across them just in time. But I really really wanted it, and did about a weeks worth of research at the library computer. If you REALLY REALLY need help, there is help out there, but you have to find it, and put the work in yourself. They will also recommend and give you information on post-treatment help, like looking for work, sober living, shelters.....Good Luck to anyone else that is struggling with this insidious disease.!God Bless

My brother came here in October to get help and they referred him to an inpatient rehab, that never helped him. The rehab place has had him on the wait list for 8 months since October and the council on recovery says there’s nothing they can do. He’s more addicted than ever with no help in sight
