Yesterday I came to the end of a 624 hour eye emergency. No, you didnt misread. Well over three weeks ago, I was doing some metal grinding, and had a tiny piece shoot directly into my left eye. I tried with all my might to flush the foreign body out to no avail. The next morning I was in such pain, I called my doctor and she sent me to their walk in clinic. I had taken a picture of the piece embedded in my cornea, told the practitioner there what had happened and even showed him the close up photo of the filing in my eye. He was very kind. He put dye in my eye and looked very closely. nope, theres nothing in there- Im sure you washed it out and its just irritated- if its not better in 5 days go see an eye doctor He prescribed erythromycin gel to put into my eye. 5 days later I wasnt in nearly as much pain, but I could still feel and see the filing. I had to believe it was just an eye freckle, and my cornea was just scratched. Cut to the chase, I was in such pain over the last 3 days (mind you three weeks later) I prayed that God would direct me to the right doctor. God, as always, came through. with there being dozens and dozens of eye doctors in Hot Springs, I felt like I should call Dr. Greg Ramers office. Raye answered the telephone. I told her she probably wanted my insurance info first, but she said No, tell me about your eye. She was and angel (and later it turned out she had known and loved my late mother!) She said come in as soon as you can get here. I certainly wasnt expecting that! All the staff I met were very nice, but I didnt have time to fill out my paperwork before Dr. Greg came out to the waiting room and got me. A very gentle man, he took his time and listened to my issue, and when I was done he looked through his microscope into my eye and said within a second, yep, you have a piece of metal in your cornea. In less than a minute, but not rushed, he numbed my eye, took a small tool and gently scooped the speck, that had tormented me for weeks, out of my eye. He then asked sincerely what else can I do for you? He prescribed healing drops for the wound and told me how to care for my eye. My first experience with this wonderful team wont be my last.

This was my first time to visit Dr. Ramer’s office. First and foremost is it is a very clean office with an amazing staff!!! Second, the staff was extremely helpful and explained each thing that was being done. Brandi Moore was so sweet and made you feel very welcome! She was very helpful and assisted me in finding a pair of glasses. I took her advise! Dr. Ramer is super nice and professional. He took the time to explain everything to me and my daughter who was there also. I would highly recommend this eye clinic to everyone!!!

I have been wearing glasses/contacts for 40 years, so Ive been to a lot eye doctors over the years. I having been a patient for several years and have always been extremely satisfied with my care from the time I enter the office till I exit. I am border line glaucoma (that Dr. Greg caught, after I had exam at another eye doc and never even checked my pressure) and Dr. Greg has stayed on top of situation to hopefully prevent any progression.My grandson has been seen since age 3 and everyone is very patient with him. I highly recommend this clinic.

I have been a patient of Doctor RAMER For 25 years now and I will not go to another eye doctor, because Doctor RAMER explains everything to me and if he half to, he will run every test none to man to make sure that His Patients gets the best care possible, And so I have turned 65 years old, I have pain in places that I did not know I had, but when it comes to my eyes. Had a great first experience! Ramer Eye Care was recommended and they are what I was told. I didnt have a great experience with the last Dr. I tried. Easy in and out process. All the staff from start to finish was friendly and helpful. Dr. Ramer took the time and answered all my questions and didnt act rushed in doing so. Selection on mens frames were a little light compared to some other places, but plenty to choose from. I plan to keep my eye care here moving forwards. Thanks!

Ran in to get my glasses adjusted after sitting on them. Immediately was taken care of , no what the heck did you do or anything just adjusted to fit correctly again. I love this place! I have been coming here for 4 years now and I wouldnt go anywhere else. Dr. Ramer and his staff are all absolutely wonderful and sweet. When I go, Im usually in and out within thirty minutes. I rarely have to wait longer than 5 minutes. You are greeted with a smile and warm welcome from the moment you step foot in the door. They make you feel like family. I am also a big fan of the state of the art equipment they use to test my eyes.
