I love this staff so much. About once a week, I end up in this walgreens just to kill time and walk around. Every staff member that I have encountered is amazing. Late night staff, rush hour staff...literally all of them are so kind and helpful. The pharmacy gets quite busy and can sometimes have extended times on prescriptions, but they are doing the best that they can. And they stay positive even when you can tell they are overwhelmed.

Manager tried to charge me $32 for a set of 4 passport sized photos.

Their cosmetics/ skin care products are exposed to direct sunlight every day all day. This causes the ingredients to oxidize, making the product useless and even rancid. Even some labels are color faded from the sun .This is a fact, not an opinion. I highly recommend to not purchase any skincare product that is facing the giant window.I am including a picture of 3 of the same products; you can see the drastic difference between the bottles exposed to to the sunlight as they’re practically black and white. That means all the beneficial ingredients are being oxidized /ruined by the sun exposure..

Amazing staff! As this is close to my home I frequently stop in this store. Im always greeted with Welcome to Walgreens along with a smile. They are always happy to help and answer questions. Love this place! Happy to have them close to home.

Excellent customer service. In excruciating pain with a toothache. Pharmacist walked me to the product I requested (toothache by red cross). Cashier PATIENTLY waited as treated my pain and then processed my payment (Because who goes out in tornado weather at 4:30am!). I am grateful. Thank you for being HUMAN and KIND in my time of need.

This is the worse pharmacy ever. We spoke to Robert who said he was the manager that night and he wasnt. He was rude, uncaring, unprofessional and he even provided us with the wrong information.concerning our complain against one of the rudest pharmacist ever. Her initials are jek or Jennifer K. It is seemingly missing the r so as to describe her cave-man mentality in being biased, bigoted, uneducated and nasty. For over three years this pharmacy, along with the cash stealing pharmacy on Hughes Road and University in Madison, Alabama, has engaged in shady practices such as giving melanated women expired birth control pills, stealing controlled substances and money. Stay away from Walgreens and bad locations such as this one on 1801 Montgomery Hwy, Hoover, AL 35244.

Ive never left a review anywhere before, that’s how terrible this pharmacy is!! Horrible pharmacy care- ESPECIALLY by the pharmacist/tech Jennifer- she interrupted me several times as I was trying to explain the circumstances and then rudely told me that it’s company policy to not use our cellphones to speak with the doctor, which I understood.(Before even stepping foot into the store, I spoke with her over the phone & she was short and not helpful in the least. ) I then asked her if she needed the number to call him & was ignored as if I was not standing 10 feet away from her while she kept working the computer/phone. She kept this attitude up with no smile and I said, “no need to be rude.” At which point she wrote on my prescription and said, take it elsewhere- I’m not dealing with you being so mean/rude to me! You don’t treat people like that! When she did speak with my doctor, she was beyond rude to him as well and just obviously on a war path! She kept gossiping with her coworkers and loudly telling them how you do not treat people in the way I did.. I was beyond flabbergasted and have never been mistreated like that before! Ever. She refused to give my doctor her last name, but she will be reported to the board very soon! She needs to recognize that you do not treat people like they are nothing! Terrible terrible! Never ever coming back here! Disappointed in you Walgreens!! I would give negative stars if that were possible!!! I will also share this with family/friends and let them know of a much better/friendlier pharmacy to use!

My doctor prescribed a pill that had sulfur in it, which I previously had an allergic reaction. The pharmacist forewarned me and told me to be careful and call if I had any problems. A few days later, she called to check on me and make sure I was doing fine with the medicine. Very thoughtful!

Rude employees. Long line of people and short black lady called next in line. As I approached, a guy that wasnt even in line cut me off. She proceeded to check him out instead of telling him to wait in line like everyone else. Customer service here has always been horrible, but this got under my skin.

I recently moved to Mississippi and had a TERRIBLE experience with a walgreens here. They couldnt seem to get my prescriptions correct. I called this Hoover location and spoke with Ashley. She was a HUDE help! She fixed everything for me, no problem. When I went back to the location here they were shocked that I called and had it fixed. Thank you Ashley for all your help! Youre awesome! Customer service goes a long way.

Walgreens payment systems do not work with one of my debit cards. My card has plenty of funds, and has been working EVERYWHERE ELSE. It’s not just a one time thing. This has occurred multiple times, so I must always make sure I have funds on my other debit card when I go there.The manager was SO rude!!! I asked him why does this continue to occur; could he please enter the card manually.I understand that there are things that are entirely beyond someone’s control. He likely had no ability to help the situation. HOWEVER, the way he acted towards me was shocking:I am not a mean person . I wasn’t being sassy.He literally shrugged his shoulders and said it’s just how it is. I don’t know why.” He was so quiet, the opposite of a take charge type of manager that shows decent respect and care for customers.At the very least, he could have apologized about the inconvience. If he had just handled things by approaching ME vs me having to ask him, if he had simply explained that their card readers don’t accept MasterCard debit cards instead of making me look like a straight dunderhead, I would not be rating so low.Their cosmetics/ skin care products are exposed to direct sunlight every day all day. Horrible pharmacy I really hate my insurance doesnt use CVS any more, they never have my prescriptions ready which were requested the previous day!!! They are super slow!!!!! The only have a great shopping experience but the pharmacy is awful.

(Only put one start because Google makes you)Pharmacist/Tech was extremely rude and would not verify if they had a prescription in stock. I called several other locations in the area so I know this was not an issue. Her refusal came after already speaking with 4 other Walgreens in the area whom had zero issues with stock verification. I will be transferring all my prescriptions to CVS!!

The Walgreens in Hoover has the worst customer service (Management). The Manager on duty today would not exchange my iPhone charging cord. I have purchased and exchanged iPhone charging cords with Walgreens since I purchased an iPhone5 years ago. I never had an issue at Valleydale or the Alabaster Walgreens location.location. Walgreens has lost a valued customer I would go to that Location in Hoover almost 4 times a week.Because its close to my house. I will take my business to another Walgreens or a different store. Convenient, friendly, eager to help, fast even though they have long lines, always have prescriptions I need available, have notifications via email when order is ready, and easy to use app! They always come through for me.

I can’t remember ever having an experience here (pharmacy) that didn’t require multiple trips and list full of problems that go without explanation. Poor customer service.

I only gave one star because it’s close by my house other than that Debra the technician lost my prescription and when I called to see if it was ready she ask me do you really think I dropped it it ... she only ask me that when I told her the name of the prescription, I felt disrespected in so many ways I will never return EVER.

This place is the worst. After standing there for 20 minutes, with one acknowledgement from an obviously disinterested tech I finally left. Thank you Walgreens! I know now to go back to my local pharmacists. You all suck

After waiting 20 minutes (with 3 cars behind me in drive thru) for someone to come up to window after pushing the call button the guy took my script and proceeded to ask me all of these questions about address birthdate etc. I gave him my DL which has my address on it and told him that was my address, but he still managed to write it down incorrectly 4 times on my script (even with me giving him help like E is for egg and so on). I told him that he shouldnt need all of that info anyways because I usually get my medicine filled at walgreens so my info should be in the system. He then proceeded to ask me another 2 times to respell my address. Finally this whole 15-20 min ordeal he takes my script and says Ill be right back. He comes back and says that they actually dont have that medication in stock in right now and hes not sure when they will be getting in.So in summary, I waited easily 40 min to drop off a script with 3 cars behind me for them to tell me that they didnt have the prescription in stock. This is not the first time Ive had an issue with this pharmacy either.

The drive thru pharmacist there around 6:45 this morning was so rude and sarcastic it was unbearable.When I arrived at the drive thru lanes, I chose Full service window.The lady spoke over the intercom and asked us if we were picking up or dropping off.... I said dropping off but then picking it up to be silly, which she obviously didnt get.She proceeded to tell us we had nothing in the system to pick up. I told her that we had the prescriptions in hand so she then comes to the window and asks for my info.Since Medco (our prescription insurance) is through Highmark BCBS they stopped issuing insurance cards and she refused to call BCBS to get the info as CVS and Rite Aide has done for us.She then looks at me like Im an idiot & tells me that she cant get my information without the card.I asked her to call Medco or to call the number on my BCBS card to verify my Medco like everyone else does and she refused to do so.She then offers to try calling CVS for our info, but said it as though it is going to be a huge inconvenience for her (as she was on the phone with someone already).I just told her to give the us our stuff back and wed just go ALL the way over to Greensprings CVS instead, and she actually sarcastically and rudely snickered at me as she pushed the stuff back to me as though I were the unpleasant one.Im sorry but I havent been rude to like that in a while and I usually only expect that sort of behavior from McDonalds or Walmart employees.
