What a great doctor and great man!I was in significant pain, arrived at Grandview Hospital and was told the spine specialist may not be able to see me and would have to be treated with pain medication, be admitted and wait for an availability the next morning.Dr. Heck reviewed my MRI while he was in surgery and at then end of his long day came to see me in the ER.Dr. Heck and his staff were about to leave for the day but wanted to touch base with me.Once he took a closer look at the MRI results and saw the amount of pain I was in he told the staff to get an operating room ready, assemble the team and 30 minutes later I was being taken to the OR.Bottom line = he could have gone home after a long day but chose to extend his day (and staffs) to help me.The care he and those at Grandview provided was outstanding!I will forever remember that he basically hung his car keys up and went to work when he could have easily gone home.This is my experience and Im sure Im not alone. I cant thank him and his staff enough!Christopher Sign
