Love how they do a cleaning and have your treatment plan ready on the first visit with prices and services... staff is always friendly.

I needed an emergency visit and they got me in ASAP! (Called on a Friday and got in the following Monday.) Ended up with a new filling entirely that had to go much deeper than the original, unexpectedly.I have not been here since the new dentist took over Shaw’s practice And I have to say I think he is WONDERFUL! He was patient, kind, gentle, explained everything, worked quickly and efficiently, and I didn’t feel any pain. Which counts for a lot because I’m a wimp.Another bonus, the office is beautiful. Big windows and lots of light create a nice atmosphere. The staff have always been professional and friendly and I’ve been a patient for years. I’m super relieved and glad to see it is still a great place to go to the dentist! I will definitely continue to come back.

Too bad, they are closing

Update 02/27/2020I went in and had a teeth cleaning with Katy Wright. Im glad I went back and tried again. I had a wonderful cleaning and highly recommend her.Today on 05/16/2019 I was supposed to have a teeth cleaning and exam at Hobbs Family Dental at 10:30 am. I went to this dental practice specifically to have my teeth cleaned by Katy Wright. I arrived at 10:25am for my appointment. When I walked in, the receptionist asked me very curtly how she could help me. I was a little caught off guard and replied to her that my name was Kristina Robinson and that I had an appointment for 12:30pm that day (I misspoke the time because of how this woman was acting towards me from the get go). She said You had an appointment for 10:30am. Weve tried calling you these past several days and I called you this morning. Our dentist has been out for a week. Well need to reschedule. I pulled out my phone and asked her from what number and time they had called me to inform me of this after being told they could not clean my teeth because I was a new patient without a consult. This receptionist could not provide me with a number on my recent calls or an approximate time she called me after I pulled out my cell phone and selected recent calls. I worked here locally in Hobbs as a receptionist for more than 4 years at an optometric practice while in college. Receptionists like this woman I encountered this morning are the fastest way a good practice goes under. This woman was rude and frankly downright combative for her mistake (not calling me and most likely knowing it deep down but wanting to save face so acting like I was the incompetent patient when I walked in). I highly suggest the office manager of this dental practice and/or the dentist that works at this practice be aware of this incident. This woman needs to be let go. I can guarantee you Im not the only patient that has been treated like this by this woman. A simple Maam Im really sorry but we cant do your appointment today. Our doctor is out. Im not sure if you were called or not but can we book you for our next soonest available appointment? would have sufficed and not have lost a patient. After leaving and before writing this review, I checked my voicemail just to be sure no one had left me a message from this practice. Sure enough- nothing. I will not be returning.

He got in and got out. I wrote on my form that I was petrified of the dentist and it usually takes extra Novocaine shots. He gave me some (and sorry, when shots go in the roof of your mouth they hurt. Its rigid), and before he started the procedure, he gave me some more. Quick, painless (except for the shots, but you know, shots), highly recommend.

I had to have a tooth (back, lower bottom) extracted and he dropped the tooth down my throat; it never came back up and Dr Welch didn’t seem to care all that much. And shortly before extracting the tooth, he told me, “you’re gonna feel a little pressure but there’s nothin I can do about that” REALLY?!! Talk about making your patients feel comfortable and at ease! I was a patient of Dr Shaw for 15+ years and badly miss him while I search for a new dentist...a caring & compassionate one!

Staff was amazing and very helpful. Worked with me to get me in for an emergency tooth repair. Customer service is amazing!

Dr Shaw was the best. He cared for his patients. He made sure you were comfortable with no pain. He has since retired.Ive been there twice now, needless to say Im looking for a new dentist. 😕😔

I can say these ppl are very understanding and actually cares or cared about my situation and made me feel like they felt my pain as well and wanted to help me find the help I needed asap and days later I was at the surgeon getting fixed up. Now I need to go back to care dental and get some cosmetic work done and im not nervous like before, i mean I had fear from one mean dentist that hurt me bad, 12yrs ago has prevented me from going anywhere near a dentist, until unbearable pain forced me to seek out one. And now im going because the dentist at care dental told me he wants to make my teeth look better now that hes gotten me out of pain. And I really felt that he really wants that for me?

Best customer service ever and doc is amazing.

Called in to get an estimate to repair a set of dentures. Just a ball park price. The employee who answered the phone was not very helpful and acted like I was a bother. Not helpful at all.
