Dismissive and condescending. Kept interrupting me while I was trying to tell him my symptoms, told me my limb aches and numbness were not cause for concern. Diagnosed me with insomnia brought on by anxiety without even doing a sleep study and told me the only sleep study he’d bother to do was an at home sleep study to rule out sleep apnea because of my weight. Made off-handed comments about patients who just seek drugs (even though he doesn’t believe I am one) — which I found disheartening as I believe all patients should be given a chance to have their symptoms taken seriously.Over all, I felt like I was being brushed off because I’m a woman with a history of mental health issues (anxiety, depression) and am overweight.
