The staff at Smile Doctor is very warming and friendly. Each time I visited they made me feel welcome and like Im part of the Smile Doctor family. Need significant work on scheduling. Why schedule appointments and make people wait 30-120+ minutes for appointments scheduled months ahead of time? People are very nice however it is very inconvenient.

The staff at the Hinesville location were very pleasant and professional. My daughter was a transfer patient and the Doctor took time to evaluate her current condition of treatment before creating a new care plan. She explained everything in great detail and then Jenny went over all our payment obligations and helped me work through a plan that worked best for me. My daughter felt very comfortable with her care given and we are glad we made this our home office for our future care during her braces journey.

Everyone was so nice . Everything was explained about my treatment.

My appointment was at 10:15. The morning of I got a text saying my appointment was 10:00. I get to the office 9:50 to check in. It’s now 10:56 and I’m still waiting in the waiting room to be seen. I understand they may be understaffed at the moment but schedule accordingly because now I’m missing another appointment because I know if I leave this place they won’t have anything for another 2 months. Bad service!

*Update: After checking in for her appointment and getting her temperature checked three times and waiting in the waiting room for almost an hour past her appointment time, she was finally seen just before lunch time. During removal of a permanent retainer, it was obvious the orthodontic technician was in a hurry and didnt take enough care to avoid causing additional injury to the gums. Impressions for a new set of plastic retainers were quickly taken and a set of retainers made, which did not fit properly upon trying them on. The employee who made the retainers was ready to go to lunch, and hurriedly cut off the rear molar spaces which appeared to be the problem and handed them to my sister as if they had been fixed. My sister however had to get to work and didnt have time to discuss this, and accepted the retainers. After wearing them for the rest of the day, she realized they still didnt fit properly at all and were very poor quality aside from the rear molar positions being cut off.Fortunately The Smile Doctors did ultimately make a replacement set of retainers that fit properly nearly a week later, and were much more patient the next time around, however this did not negate my sisters first appointment experience.Original post: My sister went here upon referral from a dentist due to a mouth injury and need for new retainers, but found everything locked up with a number to text for assistance. She was told the number was only for emergencies and to call a number for an appointment. She said Im not looking forward to going because it looked very uninviting. If she has a positive experience at the appointment, I will update this review accordingly, but does not look promising so far.

While the staff in the back has been nice and helpful when we have been there, it is ridiculous to have to wait an hour beyond an appointment time before you’re actually called back to have things done. They are nice, but have no regard for your time!

I had a new patient appointment today in the Hinesville location and I was impressed with the ENTIRE staff!!!!! Both the ladies at the front desk were super friendly. I didn’t get one of ladies name but Jen is the practice manager and we had great conversation. Dr Williams was very professional and you can tell she loves what she does. Today was her last day before maternity leave. The treatment coordinator was Jenny and never once did I feel pressured to start my treatment today but luckily I was prepared and ready since I’ve been wanting to fix my smile for some time now. Kristen performed my scan for Invisalign and it was smooth and painless. She was very friendly as well. Having a dental background for the past 11 years makes me an easy patient but for anyone else trust me when I say you will be in great hands here. Even though it was my first visit I’m looking forward to the next 18 months and becoming a patient with smile doctors.

I just made an appointment today and I am thinking about canceling because the woman who I was making an appointment with was very rude and basically rushed me off the phone and she kept calling me by the wrong name after I repeatedly told her my correct name. I am going to try and go because I want the help and I’m just going to pray the rest of the staff isn’t like that.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED I have had my braces with Smiles for about 2 years now and theyre always so kind to every customer! Before this pandemic, they served refreshments free for anyone to take. My mom especially loves the Massage room for while I get my appointment. They also have a room for you to brush your teeth right before your appointment. There is always some kind if entertainment when waiting and the Employees are so friendly :). Not to mention, whenever something goes wrong you can always go back and get it fixed right then and there for FREE :D

Do not go, save your time and money. For all service members and families, there are so many better alternatives. Coastal Dental is on post and much more professional and practical. I went to Smile Doctors, and the treatment plan they provided me with was over a year longer than what other clinics were recommending.I have a very minor correction that I elected to get braces to correct, every other dental clinic seemed to agree that there was no reason why my treatment should take so long.After speaking to Smile Doctors about this, they agreed to expedite my treatment plan with shorter rotations. This was the agreement, however I never once received a follow up in regards to when we can begin this new treatment plan. After contacting them as to why I hadn’t heard anything, they told me it was the patient’s responsibility because they have 100s of patients. Yet whenever I followed up with them, it was weeks at a time before hearing anything back.SAVE YOUR MONEY. They will put you on the longest treatment plan than necessary just to get your money. If you go there, appointment or not, you are guaranteed to be waiting for far beyond what’s reasonable. And it is beyond unacceptable for a clinic to continue to take your money but not ensure you are getting the treatment you are paying for.

Overall a great experience, I was comforted and filled in on everything they were doing the whole time! A great place to come!

We went in on Grand Opening day for the office. The technician applied only the top braces. Within the first week we had two broken wires and a bracket fall off. We NEVER went back After the 3 were fixed!! Clearly the staff is interns or underquified. I recieve a bill monthly for $10,000+ that Im simple not going to pay. Their equipment and technicians are of poor quality. Three 90 mile trips in 9 days is ridiculous. I found someone to care for his teeth and never had a problem. Be VERY CAUTIOUS using this business. Yes, the massages are nice but thats all for show... USE CAUTION

I absolutely loved Fender-Goggans and what is now known as Smile Doctors until very recently. The last time I was up there for an appointment I wasn’t called back till an hour after my scheduled time. In all my years I never experienced something like that with them. Sure it happened once and things happen I guess. Now what happened after that is what prompted me to write this review. I got my impressions done for my retainers and they said they would mail them out. 6 phone calls and 2 months later I still don’t have those retainers. They would just tell me to call back every few days to check and see if they’re ready. I never had to do that the other times I had retainers made and I’ve even had them made for me on the same day at this very location. I know it should not take two month and they should not need me to drive back to the office and redo my impressions. What happened the ones I just did at my last appointment? I called today and they said someone would call me back in a few minutes but of course they didn’t. I’ll have to call back tomorrow for the 7th time. I no longer recommend this place to anyone. I will say though the front desk ladies are super nice and just great.

Just recently moved here and looking for a place to continue my treatment. Yes it’s beautiful inside but they absolutely won’t even give me a free consultation without my records and a $500 deposit. I don’t understand why I need to give any info or have the money up front if I haven’t even decided if I’m going to not only get a different set of braces with this company or they’ll continue my treatment I’ve already started it. Overall not PCS friendly.

I never leave negative feedback places even when they deserve it usually. Whenever I see bad feedback I always think it’s just some person who didn’t get their way and they are probably just having a tantrum and out to destroy someone when it could have been a one time thing or just a bad day for everyone involved. Sometimes you just need to let things go and chalk it up to a misunderstanding. However this is different.Customer service is literally nonexistent! Over the last year to year and a half anytime My husband or I call We never get to talk to anyone and it has taken me months to get my son follow up appointments. We live in Ludowici and use the Hinesville office and when we finally do get through to someone to try to get an appointment they say it’s a 2-3 month wait and we can go to another location which is over an hour away.My son got his Invisalign and went though ALL the trays over the allotted time and we finally got back in to see someone and they scolded us for not coming back sooner and we had to order more trays because he needed rubber bands or something.I’m also having an issue making payments and I can’t talk to anyone. ALSO we owe over $600 more now for the extra trays and rubber bands when we already are paying over $5k for the Invisalign and they said when we started everything would be lumped in with the original amount and we can’t speak to anyone about this because it goes straight to a voice mail without the ability to leave a message......I’m beyond frustrated with the many problems and lack of help.It was zero problems to get an appointment when we were a new patient. I called and got an appointment for two days later. We got his treatment plan Started and then from that day on we can not get appointments or talk to anyone. When people answer the phone we can never get directed to the right person EVER!

Writing this review as I sit here waiting for my appointment that was almost 2 hours ago. I decided to give this office the benefit of the doubt after reading other reviews but this is absolutely ridiculous. I walked up to the counter after waiting an hour and a half to ask about how much longer and was told not long and that there’s one other person in front of me.. how? Every person that was in this office when I got here & even after I sat down has already been seen. Yes the assistants are very sweet but that just doesn’t make up for this. I’m sorry but if you have a choice to go somewhere else, I would.

We’ve been going to smile doctors for a little over two years and it has gotten progressively worse each time we go. Wait times far exceed an hour and it’s almost impossible to get an appointment scheduled when due for the next treatment - it’s always at least 3-5 weeks after that time. The staff is really nice, so I hate to leave a bad review, but overbooking patients to this extreme has driven me nuts! Even with my daughter being on the tail end of her treatment, I am SERIOUSLY considering taking her elsewhere - even if it means more out of pocket costs.

Honestly disappointed in this location. I never had anything but employees/ doctors that would go above and beyond to satisfy their patients in Harker Heights, Texas. I just had new retainers made in sept at this location and paid the price of $75 for a retainer. It is already cracking in the back and I was told that I could go in and have it replaced, but it would be the call of the worker for me to get charged the new price of $225 or the $75 for the retainer. I guess if you’re really nice you may get the cheaper price? I don’t see how there can be price discrepancy for the same item. Just very disappointed that I just paid for something to crack in a few months and have to pay an outrageous price.

The office and the staff are nice. However, the wait times are absolutely ridiculous. No matter the time or day you will wait a minimum of 45 minutes after your scheduled appointment to be seen. Then you ain’t be seen within the time frame the orthodontist wants you to return. It’s absolutely ridiculous to have to wait 8-10 weeks for a follow up appointment when you’re supposed to be seen in 4-5 weeks. They seriously lack quality of care! I am looking for a different orthodontist for my child.

I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. The staff is very friendly, and they do have nice lobby to wait in. I’ve been using them since March of this but at least three or four of my appointments have had to be rescheduled due to the only actual dentist leaving early. For someone who works i do not have a flexible schedule to be rescheduled all time. On top of that, they only schedule you out for every two months for changing of wires. I went in yesterday for them to look at a tooth that had been causing me pain because it had been pushed up farther then the rest because of placement of a bracket, instead of fixing it so that my tooth could start moving so I wouldn’t be in pain much more; they only talked to me about fixing everything a MONTH when my next appointment was. I also have a broke bracket that they did not actually fix but wrapped a wire around it until I saw them for my next visit, which that has been broken for a month also but will not be fixed for another month.

Extremely overbooked and ALWAYS ridiculous wait times!!!! I do not recommend the Hinesville, Ga location AT ALL!! Getting in the braces was fast and easy. From that point forward dealing with this place has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had. There is a severe disregard of quality of care. For the thousands of dollars myself and hundreds of other patients spend we should never wait longer than 15 minutes ; apart from extenuating unexpected circumstances. I really hate this place and absolutely cannot wait to be done with them!! Run far far far away from this office its the worst

I usually have a good experience, the reason why there isnt 1 star, but today not so well. I know when coming here your going to wait around 30 mins after your appointment time to be seen, so i plan accordingly. This appointment I made at 2 sobi would not have to wait, told to me by the receptionist being they go to lunch at 1 and come back at 2. So I come in at 1:50, early like always to try and be the first to be called. I was the first one there. So I wasnt called until 2:17, and was the 3rd peeson. That was disappointing. The biggest part was that as I was sitting waoting patiently I watched one of the young ladies eat a hot dog at her station.....really? Whats your lunch break for? Whats your work station, that you work on customers mouths for? Not veey professional.

I have been using the office in Hinesville,GA for a year and a half now with the exceptions of maybe 3 visits( cause I ask for someone specific) I always have a problem with these tecs touching the stuff with their bare hands then thinking they gonna stick it in my daughters mouth. I was so angry the last visit I didnt want to return so I spoke with the director who said she would make sure I saw the 1 technician that I saw the other times, which I had to let them know when I had my visit I wasnt seeing anyone else, still I figured wasnt enough cause they all should know better. Couldnt find no one in the Douglas office to complain to. I have 2 other kids that need braces and I WILL NOT be using this place again. For almost 6000 dollars you would think youd get better service than this

This may have been an isolated incident, but this is a biggie to me. The little one I babysit (she’s 10) has a retainer from having her braces taken off (as you often get after having your braces off). You’d think that even though they were doing volunteer services elsewhere, there would be a staff member for emergencies; such as a 10 year olds retainer falling apart and causing her pain. Then what was a huge slap in the face was being told that then watching 2-3 people walk out and take selfies in the parking lot like they’re about to go party for Cinco de Mayo.

I have been a customer with them since February of this year, I decided to do the treatment for braces as planned. Treatment is scheduled for every 6 to 8 weeks however. They are more worried about new clients and more money then they are existing paid customers. They cant see me for 5 months. YES THATS RIGHT, 5 MONTHS, HOW IS THIS BENEFICIAL TO MY TIGHTENING OF MY TEETH WHEN THEY KEEP RESCHEDULING ME FARTHER AND FARTHER OUT. I am not in a million years going to recommend anyone here. Its a waste of money, I have been seen 2 times since I got my braces. They only care about money. If I could I would rip these braces out of my mouth at this point, I would.

Called to get braces removed, didn’t get a call back until 3 weeks later. VERY unprofessional in my opinion, I was in so much pain. I want the braces off and it was a hassle to get in contact with someone.
