I have been in the area for 12 months. This is not our first dentist in Hinsville for my family and I am lowering my expectations for care. Thus, four stars instead of the two I would have done. The person at the front desk had our insurance wrong, wouldnt listen to the patient until another person behind the counter confirmed I was right, and was generally not focused on customer service. The dental hygienist was Awesome! He should be running the entire operation. The dentist was rushed and spoke more to his assistant than to me. I had to ask what the terms meant he was telling her. I am the patient, I should be who is addressed and have things explained to. A huge red flag for any medical person I see is do they break things down so I am informed and understand or are they just going through the motions to get the next patient in the door. If the patient equals dollar signs, that is a not quality care in my book. We will return, because, frankly, this is the best place we found in Hinesville, which is a sad statement on the other dentists in the area. I will update this rating and post based on future visits.

This dental office is by far the worst I have been to. Im particularly talking about the one in hinesville, ga. They are unprofessional and rude. Especially the office manager named Debra. They will give you different quotes on prices and change them as they go along. I have never been to a dental office that demanded 3 x-rays in the span of 9 months. They got so upset because I didnt want to pay 867 to get two teeth pulled. Debra threatened to call the police on me saying I had money owed to them. When in fact every treatment I had done with them was paid in full and out of pocket. They dont do payment plans so I would have to pay in full. So I dont know where she pulled that mysterous bill from. The dentist was more concerned with flirting with the nurses and bragging about his car and various material things rather then help the poor people in pain waiting in the reception area. Oh yeah thats right your appointment will not start on time because hes in that back doing all of those things. Unprofessional! I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Howard family dental has a great staff, I’m always happy to see men and women of color working these fields and providing excellent service. The dental assistants are always very sweet and Dr. Bre and Dr. Robinson are very good at what they do! The clerk who takes your payment (I feel bad for forgetting her name) has been there for a long time and she always tries to help anyway she can to make sure you get the care you need at the most affordable options! I never have a bad experience when going there and would refer them to anyone seeking professional, caring and exceptional providers!!

I went in today to have a crown fitted as well as a filling. Needless to say, I was extremely nervous and anxious prior to the start of the procedure. The staff was very comforting and walked me through the whole process which allowed me to feel much more comfortable. Howard Dental treated me right! Once my appointment was scheduled, they told me my dental cleaning would only take an hour. Spoilers: it only took an hour. Everything went smoothly, and the team was so professional from the moment I walked in! Your time and comfort are important to them!

Jun 17th - 1st appt to check painful toothJun 28th - root canal at another facilityJul 12th - appt to fit for crownAug 9th - appt to seat crown, but temp had to be placed insteadAug 19th - appt to seat crownWhen I showed up for the final appt I was told that I was not on the schedule. Before I left on Aug 8th the dental asst spoke with the ofc Mgr Ms. Harn and was told.to put me on the schedule for next week. The asst and I waited while the appt clerk put me on the schedule for Aug 19th. The last temp crown has broken off and is in pieces. I took the pieces and showed the clerk. They offered all these other days that I can come back. I have a life and other appts scheduled for the dates and times they offered.  I paid a lot of money to this practice to have a service and have not received what I paid for. I am tired of their excuses as to why they cant give me what Ive already paid for. So unprofessional!

I have been going here since Ive been a teenager, and Im in my 30s now. Kendra, Gina, and Brandy are the best! I also appreciate the thoroughness, and the willingness everyone is to listen to my needs.

I was in search of a new dentist and very determined to have a black woman. I’m so glad that I saw the commercial that featured Dr. Bre. Although I live in Savannah, the drive was definitely worth my experience today. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Stephanie, Shawn, Jonathan, Brandy and the receptionist (forgot how to spell her name, starts with a K) were amazing! Dr. Bre was very informative and addressed all my concerns. The office staff is always kind and welcoming. My dental hygienist, Jonathan, does a great job and is very personable. I love Dr. Bre!!! Great place. Very clean. We don’t usually wait for very long.

Friendly staff however they tried to double dip my husbands insurance and mine. If Im explaining to you that Ive had recent x-rays from another office down the street it takes two minutes to fax and request x-rays. Your persistence in regards to making me take more x-rays was very extremely rude and unprofessional. Lastly, if your a dental hygienist and Im telling you my concerns about my gums, dont constantly attempt to downplay my issues. I will go find another dentist in town or drive further if thats what it takes to find a people whos willing to LISTEN to my concerns after they ask and actually try to mitigate or fix the issue altogether. No thank you and would never recommend to anyone.

My only complaint is Howard Family Dental can not seem to keep their dentists. The staff absolutely deserves all 5 stars for caring, compassion, courtesy, and staying regardless of... I have called to asked about insurance and received an intelligent response. Appointments are scheduled as promptly as possible and when you are on the waiting list you definitely get offered an appointment with out losing your place when you cant accept it.

The staff at Howard Family Dental in Hinesville is courteous, friendly, and professional. Brandy and the other ladies in reception have always been welcoming and kind. Dr. Bre~ has an excellent chair-side manner and I hope she will continue practicing in Hinesville. She is gentle, thorough, and explains the treatment beforehand. It is always such a pleasure dealing with such wonderful people. I have had nothing but positive experiences.

Howard Family Dental is a pleasant place to visit even if you dread going to the dentist. The staff is friendly and very professional. They are thorough yet very gentle with your mouth. There is even a TV screen that has a view of your X-rays. This helps you to better understand the condition of your teeth and gums as they explain what work needs to be done. I think this is great because it allows you to see for yourself. Also, the rooms are very clean and the technicians are well groomed in appearance. This is especially important cosidering it is your mouth being worked on. In addition to what your insurance pays, you receive great discounts on the procedures. I would definitely recommend Howard Family Dental to anyone in need of quality dental care.

This is the only place I have come for 4 years now and I love it! Everyone is so nice; when I had to bring my baby in her car seat several ladies would walk by and talk to her. My 9 year old enjoys coming to this calming nice place and I have never had problems as far a scheduling or rescheduling appointments. They provide great service!

I’ve been a patient at the Hinesville Howard office for many years now. I have nothing to say but good things about everyone at this office. They are personable and truly have my best interest at heart. One thing I appreciate is that they explain my dental needs but yet do not pressure me. I have 100% confidence in their abilities.

At 6 my daughter was terrified of going to the Dentist for cleanings. The Xrays hurt her and the staff easily grew weary of dealing with her.Howard Dental cleaning team. Specifically Gina’s team are terrific! From my daughters first visit to our current visit. I would recommend them. They are hands down the best Experience we’ve had with our Dentist and as a Military spouse with 15+ different Dental offices, this means a lot!
