Staff and Dr. Murray was kind and courteous, but dont expect any basics that many other offices provide, no facial cold packs, no irrigation syringes, etc. But overall, we were pleased.

I had an appointment I overslept due to my pain meds. I called and expressed my concerns of having a dry socket about an hour before they closed at 1 PM. I guess they were to concerned about their weekend time and not their patients well being. Do not have your wisdom teeth surgery here, they do not value their patients health nor do they make it a priority.

Both of my children have had their wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Murray, and I have also had a couple of molars removed. The procedures and recoveries were flawless and without incident. I would definitely recommend him, as I feel confident in his knowledge and skills. Prior to seeking his services, I reviewed his credentials and found no credible alarms. As far as staff, all have been very friendly and responsive to any questions. An area for improvement is the amount of time it takes to receive a refund. Payment is required up front for a portion or the full amount of services, depending on method of payment. Their policy is to refund any over payment to the patient 30 days after insurance has paid. Ive waited months beyond the insurance companys payment, and only received a refund after calling regularly to check on the status. Its my understanding Dr. Murrays wife goes into the office on an irregular basis to cut the checks. My recommendation is that accounts should be reviewed on a weekly basis and refund checks also cut weekly. Quality of care is important, but so is the level of customer service.

This is an outstanding dentist....not to mention his staff and extremely organized process. I have an innate phobia of dentists. But his office and staff exude a relaxed and stress-free atmosphere. His expertise and his staff’s support made a potentially painful extraction a surprisingly pain free one! I would give them 10 stars if I could. Please, if you have a dental issue, schedule an appointment with Dr. Murray.

Dr Murray is totally professional in every way. Basically he cares how you feel. I told him I was in severe pain for a bad tooth and he worked me in then though he was booked full because I told him how bad the pain was so he got me in quickly to help me out. I had to have surgery where you have local anesthesia with sedation to pull your teeth. He comes in letting you know everything is going to be fine completely confident in his expertise and before I knew it I was told it was over and everything went as planned. I remember him saying they were about ready to get started and the next thing I knew it was over and no more pain. It took about 45 minutes but felt like a blink of the eye. His staff is cheerful and professional. I wasnt groggy when it was over and basically I cant thank him enough for what he did for me. A top shelf professional and highly recommend him. I think it really depends on what type of insurance you have whether it pays in the beginning or it reimburses them and you get a check back. I got my money back quickly within a couple of weeks once my insurance paid. If you need a tooth pulled there is none better than Dr Murray period. Charles Winterville NC

If you ever need a wisdom tooth extraction, this is the place to go! The staff were super friendly and made sure I was comfortable and well relaxed before the procedure. They were even able to work me in the next day after my consultation!

Id give this visit more stars if they would actually tell you the correct amount for your visit. I called two different times asking how much my appointment would be and what all they needed to do. I was told youll have a consult and X-rays done. Appointment will be $95. So I bring $100 with me. After the appointment all of a sudden my total was a little over $200. $95 for the actual consult and $105 or so for the x-rays that were taken. So of course Im there looking like an idiot with no money. If they would have told me how much I would have saved more so I could pay. At the time I worked one day a week, if that, so I already had to save for a few weeks to be able to even go to my consult. Theyre definitely not shy about getting their money but they cant tell you the correct amount before you even go.

My son has special needs and Dr Murray would not allow me to go back with him. After ten minutes I was called back to the room and my son was rocking and completely shut down. When we got in the car, He told me that Dr Murray had held him down. He was completely freaked out. He didn’t understand what they were doing and all of it could have been prevented had I been allowed to go back until they gave him the gas. And as for him holding my son down...just wrong. If you have a child with special needs of any kind, I strongly recommend you do not go here. Heck I wouldn’t take any child here

I have nothing but good things to say about this office. I called to get an appointment Friday for an extraction of a tooth that was causing pain and they were able to get me in on Tuesday. The staff were very kind and since I let them know I was nervous about the visit I believe they took that into consideration when interacting with me. The dentist himself was very gentle when extracting my tooth and Kelly, one of the staff members, held my hand the whole minute it took to extract the tooth. My husband referred me to this office as he had an extraction a few years ago and also had a fabulous experience. I would recommend this office to anyone who has fear of the dentist. Thank you so much for a great experience!

It’s been a year after my tooth extraction and I still feel pain in my jaw, gums and my chin is still numb. This is my second time having a wisdom tooth removed and am very disappointed in how this turned out. Wish I had waited to move back home to go to the same doctor who removed my first tooth. The doctor had very poor bedside manners. He didn’t take time to address my concerns when I came for follow up one week after the extraction. I walked away accepting the fact that I will have to be in pain and continue to take the maximum dose of both Ibuprofen and Tylenol together until everything heals. I just did not expect to still be living in pain one year later. If I could have a do over I would heed the warning of the previous bad reviews and went to another doctor.

The receptionist was abrasive and snarky. She also wasn’t wearing a mask. Not a good first impression. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I hadnt had a tooth pulled since I was a kid. I had this one tooth with 2/3 of a root canal done and it bothered me for months. I dont have dental insurance and Dr. Murrays prices were completely fair. He numbed me up and within a few minutes the problem tooth was gone. Would definitely recommend.

I have quite a few things to say about this practice, and I do not usually post reviews.....1. They treat their patients like cattle herd.... A production line per sey. My 16 year old daughter said they were very rough with her and not very kind during her procedure (of course what she could remember. She had her wisdom teeth removed). She was nervous and she jumped when they placed her IV. The assistant snapped at her, she said to hold still.2. I was told when I collected her after the procedure that her procedure went perfect, no problems whatsoever, easy and quick. For 8 weeks my daughter had loss of feeling and numbness and tingling on the bottom left side of her mouth. At the follow up, the surgeon did tell us he documented in his surgery procedure notes he visualized her nerves and likely bruised her nerve. A common complication, but was never mentioned.3. We have 2 private dental insurances, but were still made to pay $525 upfront and were told if our insurance paid we would be reimbursed. They filed out first insurance and they paid. After 3 phone calls, they finally filed our second insurance, which has also paid to the practice but we have yet to see a reimbursement check, even though I call every week. I was told more than one that the insurance check just posted yesterday and that I had to wait 30 days in order to obtain my refund check. I was also told that I would be refunded 30 days after the first insurance paid and again 30 days after the second insurance paid. My second insurance paid May 12 according to the Explanation of Benefits. I am due the entire amount that I paid this surgeon out of pocket. I continue to call and they continue to make excuses as to why I cannot receive my refund check and that I need to speak with another person (the boss wife) who only works on Monday and Wednesday, however when I call on Monday, she is magically not there.I would be very weary of this practice. There are many to choose from in this town. I have 2 other children and I will definitely not be using this surgeon again for their wisdom teeth removal or for any other dental surgical needs.
