Complained about him to the South Carolina Medical Board in November 2020. If you have had a bad experience with him, please dont hesitate to do the same. I had two miscarriages under this doctor. He failed to administer the routine tests and increase the dosage of my thyroid hormone upon my confirmed pregnancies ( I was a known thyroid patient). I have had a successful pregnancy before and my dose was immediately increased upon confirmation of my pregnancy. When I insisted that I get my thyroid tested during my second miscarriage under his care, my TSH levels came 4 times high above where it should have been for a healthy pregnancy. During my first miscarriage 10 months before, he didnt even check my thyroid levels. I understand that I did not get the level of standard care that I deserved, which very likely resulted in my miscarriages. Shame on you, Dr. Brodie.

I would highly advise against seeking care with Dr. Brodie or Piedmont OB/GYN. Dr. Brodie checked bloodwork and labs at my annual visit, and I had abnormal results that yielded a consult to a specialist. Dr. Brodie completely dropped the ball, never contacting me regarding my results and failing to put in a consult. Several months later, my PCP conducted bloodwork and labs and called me that same week to discuss my results and to set up a referral with a specialist. I later logged into mychart and was able to see my abnormal results from my appointment with Dr. Brodie, and I contacted Piedmont to see why there was never any follow up and the receptionist I spoke with blamed it on coronavirus, when my appointment was February 3rd (well before coronavirus shut down everything) and this shouldn’t have even mattered because my PCP was able to set up imaging/referral within days in the middle of the pandemic. Dr. Brodie’s gross negligence has resulted in a delay of several months of my care, and I am just so thankful that my PCP is an excellent physician that will be sure my health is a priority. I understand mistakes happen, but this was an unacceptable mistake for a physician to make!

I make sure that Dr. Brodie isnt my physician when I schedule my appointments. My first appointment with him I felt really uncomfortable. While wearing my cloth gown it kept opening and when he was talking to me he wasnt looking me in the face but at my chest! My gown ended up ripping and I couldnt wait for him to get out so I could put my clothes on.
