I will ALWAYS regret going here, instead of finding a different office. I lost my baby at 22 weeks. I went in because i knew something was wrong. instead of testing my infection to be sure, the midwife just wrote a prescription and sent me on my way. She even TOLD ME that infection could cause you to lose a baby, but didnt care to make sure she was even prescribing the correct medication. The office is overbooked constantly, they care more about getting you out of there quickly. I went into labor and lost my baby a month later due to infection.

I wish i had better things to say about my first visit to this office. I drove over an hour to see them for the first time, due to having pain in my lower right abdomen. Seeing as Im 18weeks pregnant with miscarriage history, I wanted to see what this could possibly be as soon as I could that way if something was wrong, it was caught early enough... They did their routine blood draw and urine sample and sent me to room 4. There I waited for over an hour. It wasnt the time that gets to me though, I was just hoping that the wait was worth it. I feel like whichever nurse that saw me was dismissing my concerns, she kept cutting me off and talking over me. I tried to convince myself this was accidental but it happened the whole time and my fiance pointed out she seemed irritated with me asking questions. She requested a urine culture to check for bladder infection, and referred me to Hunt Regional Imaging nearby to check for kidney stones. She explained that it would be wise to know if I had kidney stones because that could send someone pregnant intro an early labor. I could have swore they were going to do an ultrasound seeing as IM PREGNANT. But when I get to Hunt Regional Imaging, I was informed that this would be an XRAY. A FRIGGIN ABDOMINAL XRAY ON SOMEONE WHO IS PREGNANT!!! I bit my tongue and told myself to trust the staff, that they knew what they were doing and even called the office to make sure that it was for an xray, they tried saying that because im not in my first trimester anymore that the risks associated with xrays and pregnancy were super slim. I, again, told myself ok just listen to the staff, they know what theyre doing... After I get the ultrasound done, the tech was saying she was surprised that they had me do an xray because they havent seen anyone in that office for an xray until theyre in their late 3rd trimester when baby could survive outside of the womb if anything were to happen after the xray. She also said that SHE CALLED the office and tried to convince them to do an ultrasound instead but this office INSISTED on a friggin xray. If there was a less invasive way to check for kidney stones, WHY TAKE ANY RISKS XRAYING A PATIENTS ABDOMEN WITH A BABY GROWING INSIDE!!! I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS OFFICE MADE ME FEEL IT WAS NECESSARY AND SAFE IF CLEARLY THE TECH WAS EVEN TRYING TO FIND A DIFFERENT WAY TO CHECK FOR KIDNEY STONES?! I NO LONGER FEEL LIKE MY AND MY UNBORNS LIVES ARE IN THE HANDS OF CARING PEOPLE. I feel like scare tactics were involved to get me to do a more expensive testing for kidney stones, despite the radiation that would be exposed to my unborn. If I had known before the xray that the tech tried convincing this office to do a sonogram instead because THEY THEMSELVES werent comfortable doing an xray on me at my gestation, I wouldnt have done it. Its obvious that my unborn childs welfare or life is not in the best interest of this office, at least not the nurse/midwife that saw me on 6/03/2021. I wish I remembered her name, but unfortunately I do not, but I do recall her almost bragging about being new there. I will not be returning, I am looking for a new provider asap.To clarify; this isnt about the obgyn. I never got to meet Marie Hollis and the other staff seemed nice. My issue is with the nurse I saw. But if this is something that the whole office practices, then I sleep soundly knowing Ill be seen elsewhere who hopefully have me and my childs best interest at heart and not just worried about their pocketbooks.
