Scheduling staff need better communication skills.Clinical staff is much better!

I had a cancer pop up on my hand and called to get an appointment ASAP. They sent me to see Jennifer McCarren ,PA. I was very impressed by her and would feel comfortable seeing her instead of a MD in the future. She was very patient and knowledgeable.

Dr hurd was awesome with my 9 month old. She gave me a quick answer to what was going on with my baby girl. Everyone I dealt with at the office was nice and professional.

I was impressed with Dr. Proctor and his staff. His exam was very thorough and he made me feel at ease almost immediately. His staff was friendly and courteous.

What has happened since I came here in 2019. The rating has dropped drastically now I am unsure about going here. Anyone know what’s going on at this office? 😳

Stephanie is amazing. I suffered from cystic acne for years. Ive been going to Stephanie for 6+ years... people literally stop me in my tracks now to tell me how beautiful my skin is.

One of the worst doctors offices I have been in. Personnel, service, doctors, are all. HORRIBLE. lf you can, you need to STAY AWAY from those people, at all cost. The place should not be in business. But they are happy to take your money when you are broke. But somebody has got to pay for the MILLION DOLLAR PLUS homes all their doctors live in. WORTHLESS

Had basil cell carcinoma on top of nose between eyes. Dr. Smith removed the spot and the office called back after a few days to let me know the biopsy of cancer cells went through all the skin layer he removed. They set me up appointment with Dr. Richard Lewis for MOHS procedure and also with plastic surgeon next door at Greenville Plastic Surgeon- Dr. Lynne Garrison. Procedure and surgery was scary, but they all did a great job on remover the cancer and repairing the hole. I’d highly recommend these doctors. What a team!

Had Mohs surgery today (my 3rd time) and the whole experience was great. The staff are all wonderful, and Dr Lewis is the bomb. Highly recommend !!

I booked an appointment for my son about 3 months ago for a date in April that I was given by the receptionists.I received a call saying they will have to cancel because the office is close that day, which I was caught by surprise since my sons appointment is in a few days from the phone call I received. Now that I am trying to reschedule I get a date all the away in the end of July.This is beyond frustrating, I have worked in Healthcare system and am aware of dates that the office will be closed even within months. How is this fair for any patients that schedules appointments, and now I have to wait another four months to see a dermatologist? Not sure whats going on in the frontdesk, but this is very unprofessional that a patient has to wait four extra months for an appointment that was given by the receptionist! They should have called within months to let me know not days before my sons appointment.

Fantastic staff. Everyone from the receptionists to check-out was helpful and pleasant. I had to drive over an hour to get there, and will happily do it again for my follow up.

Went in for a simple surgery. They did it and sent me on my way. Staff was very nice.

Dont go here. The Dr. That shall remain nameless doesnt care to help his patients. He wants to push meds instead of help his patients. I mean that truly.

The cosmetics department is incredible! I have had laser treatments at Eastern Dermatology and also fillers. Everyone is nice and very knowledgeable of all products available. I really trust them with my skin care needs. I also have been going to Eastern Dermatology for regular skin checks and Valerie is amazing. I always feel like I’m in good hands. I wouldn’t change a thing!

Scheduled an appointment over the phone. Was very specific as to the day due to the Covid. And my tight schedule. Waited 2 months. I arrived on time. Was told I had the wrong day and my appointment was for a different day. Surprised? I had it in my day planner with the time and date of the phone call. Not too concerned, it was cosmetic. Then things got rude. Asked to reschedule, the receptionist was indignant, condescending, and unapologetic. Wow, uncalled for. Then it was suggested I could do the paper work, which i thought was a good idea. While I was doing the paperwork. (Since Im paying with a debit card, I asked the ballpark cost). A second person working there starts telling me that removing moles can be several appoints because of cancer testing. I explain more then once to an individual who obviously is not listening to what I am saying, that there is no Cancer issue, This is purely cosmetic. The mole is on my forehead. Then she tells me that this Dr. doesnt just remove moles for cosmetic reasons. The Dr. only works with cancer/more important illnesses. What? She says it twice. So, I waited 2 months to be lied to? I feel I am owed an apology. This Dr. really needs to talk too his staff. I have a son who has survive CML, in all the years and treatments he went through, I have never seen this behavior with staff. Do not go here. Pick a Dr. with a better relationship with his staff. No one should be treated this way.

Dr. Hutchinson deserves all the praise she gets. She is thorough, friendly, and always makes you feel like you are the only patient she is seeing that day.The nurses and PAs I have encountered have all been very nice.Concerning the wait times, I do believe they are just accepted as a necessary evil in this business and medical practice as nobody gives you any updates unless you inquire yourself at the front desk. Once you are called back they are not acknowledged or mentioned either. Nobody has ever apologizes for them to me.I keep coming here because of the excellence of the nurses and Doctor Hutchinson.

I have been going there for a couple years now. Was there for one thing and found melanoma. They immediately got me in to see Dr Lewis and he was great with the surgery. When I had an issue with my insurance I told him I had to cancel upcoming appointments...he said absolutely not, we can make payment arrangements. I see Dr Taylor regularly and she is thorough and very and caring. I definitely recommend.

I really like my doc, Dr. Hutchinson, but your payment arrangements are absurd. I spent a good bit of time filling out all the details that your billing affiliate, DOXO, requested to process my credit card payment, and then at the very end, found out it was going to cost me $3.99 (on a $20.40 balance - 20%!!!) to process my payment, and take _8 days_ to credit my account. Are yall _crazy_??? Do you really consider that to be a _service_? No thanks!!!

So far my experience has been great. Ive been twice and Ive been seeing one of the P.A.s, Ms. Knight. Shes been very kind, patient, understanding and helpful. She talks to me, listens and tries to answer all of my questions. Shes very sincere and caring. Shes also done a wonderful job my health care. The rest of the staff has also been very nice and helpful. If any of the staff read this, thank you!

It is very sad that the office staff handing appointments would be so rude to patients. My daughter was denied an appointment due to according to the report given to my doctors office (4 no shows). I immediately called and inquired as to why and got hung up on . Then I called back and requested human resources...just to speak to someone else. When checked, was told it was correct but when I questioned further...I was told that 2 were canceled by the doctor. More than 2 were cancelled by the doctor but anyway...it is pretty sad that they would deny seeing a child. Its all good...I will find care for her somewhere else. I do not recommend this office. Trying to get an appointment here has been a fiasco and when I went to a different branch got poor results from the doctor. Truly disappointing. I wish I could have just spoken to my doctor but I will write him a personal letter explaining their unprofessional behavior. Next time I intend to write down names.

Absolutely awful. I made my appointment in the middle of January and wasnt able to get an appointment until the end of March, but thats understandable. The day finally comes and I get there 15 minutes early, and wait in line at the wrong desk (because there was no clear indication in which desk to go to), go to the correct desk after being told I was in the wrong spot, fill out my paperwork, and wait patiently so see the doctor. Nearly an hour goes by and Im still patiently waiting. I ask the front desk about how much longer its going to be, and they inform me its going to be another 30 minutes. So my appointment was scheduled for 2:40, but I wont be ale to actually see anyone until 3:50. The receptionist asks if I want to reschedule after I told her I was not going to be able to wait that long, and when I asked if it would be another few months, she said its very possible. After that, I left. Thanks for putting people first and respecting their time. I dont mind waiting a few minutes, I understand that stuff happens, but having to wait a full hour after my scheduled appointment for something that I am not responsible for, and then having to wait months after that, thats absolutely ridiculous. Visit at your own risk, I for one will be finding another dermatologist office, especially considering they dont care to see me anyway.

I went for my first appointment today and had an excellent experience. I have had skin cancer in the past and Ive just moved back into the area. Checking in was efficient and my examination was very thorough. I have found my dermatologist for my new home.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mary Helen Hutchinson for many years and had surgery performed by Dr. Richard Lewis. Their exams were thorough, diagnostics timely and accurate. Treatment options were discussed in-depth and with respect for my concerns. Procedures were performed with meticulous attention to medical and aesthetic outcomes. These physicians are committed to excellence in care and compassion for others. The entire staff of nurses, technicians, and office managers has been responsive and professional. We are fortunate to have access to such an exemplary team of caregivers.

My last trip back.Front desk were unfriendly and didnt say a word to me when I signed in Wednesday ,11-27.The nursing staff treat me like I am laughing stock.The botox was a complete waste of my money to only droop my eyebrows that still was not corrected.I watched a video and the botox should have never been placed aggressively above my eyebrow.That shed light to me as to why I have the droopy eyebrows . Very disappointed in Dr.Howell .There will never be another botox treatment done by him.It was painful and aggressive when he did it initially and my forehead was not dotted off either like the video indicated.I think staff were ready to go to lunch and that is why I got the poor treatment.Never again.They didnt care how it made me feel or look.But its okay .Eastern Dermatology will not get one more penny of my money that I work hard to get to result in bad treatment by staff and bad botox treatment.I pray staff learn to treat all people with respect and take their time when dealing with people and their skin needs.I read the other reviews and I feel the same way as some others do disrespected.

Absolutely love this practice. Everyone is friendly and professional. I see Dr. Howell and am very satisfied with his manner and skill.

I have seen Dr. Hutchinson several times for skin evaluations, mole removal, and referral for laser surgery by the esthetician for removal of sun spots. I was very please with her. I saw another physician there who was a bit conservative when it came to removing moles and other skin lesions. The office staff is not very friendly in dealing with the public, I can agree. However, I am confident that I am receiving good medical care when I seek their services.

My spouse and I have been patients of Dr. Hutchinsons at Eastern for many years. I cant recommend her highly enough for her professionalism, compassion, and kindness. Ive always found the office and medical staff to be friendly and helpful as well.

Very disappointed in this practice- My son, a student at ECU was experience a severe rash on his face and we went in to Eastern Dermatology for treatment. two weeks later rash back with a vengence. I called to get him back in to see the Dr. and they said I had to talk to a nurse. Nurse never called back. When I called again two hours later, receptionist said Dr. left a not that he couldnt see him today and that we would have to wait another day. Maybe if they werent so busy with their spa treatment services and body sculpting, they could see actual medical patients. Never again Eastern Dermatology, never again! Receptionist very rude and condescending!

The staff are plain rude. When I made an appointment for my husband whoever I spoke with acted as though she didnt want to talk to me. He had to call today to reschedule and instead of rescheduling he was hung up on after saying theyd go ahead and cancel the first one.

I made an appointment and when I got there and gave them my insurance card, they would not accept it because they had never even heard of it. It is excellent insurance and covers everything. They would not even consider it. The girls at the front desk are rude. It is like fort knox to even get in to see a dermatologist! I would recommend giving your money to ECU physicians dermatology. They had no problem accepting my insurance and their doctors were great!

All I did was call to make an appointment, the receptionist was the rudest person I have ever spoken with. I wish I had gotten her name! I called the office in Washington and it was like night and day! I definitely will not be using the Greenville office.

The doctor was unable to solve my issue with the acne Ive had since I was 16. Im 27 now and Ive been going here for a little over 10 years and my acne never cleared. I just figured if the doctors here couldnt do it no one could. I decided to go somewhere else to finally get a second opinion. My new doctor was able to clear my face within 6 weeks. Ive wasted 10 years and money going to Eastern Dermotology. I wish the doctor at Eastern Dermotology seemed more concerned and tried more instead of giving me the same prescription that did nothing. This is nothing against the staff, but I just feel they try to get you in and out as fast as possible without really helping or asking the patient what their needs are.

Horrible experience from the front desk to the back. Waiting was ridiculous, and the subtle insults categorizing all people of color to be the same.

This was a horrible experience. My appointment was at 10am. I came in at 9:30am. I waited until an hour and thirty minutes before I was looked at. The PA Valerie Knight looked at me for approximately 6 minutes. She prescribed me the same mediation I used at 17 and said that was all she could do. Now as a 23 year old I told her its not minor teenage acne and its cystic.My regular doctor gave me the same prescription, so this was a waste of time She said if it didnt work to keep coming in. Overall, they dont want to solve your problem, but just keep getting money for patients coming in. Lastly, she kept blaming obamacare stating thats why she couldnt do her job and due to insurance she wasnt able to look at my scalp. Save your time and money. Find a new office & service.

No problem with the medical staff, but the office staff are awful. They consistently overcharge you and then do not refund the over-payment until you make a fuss.

They have everything you need.
