My daughter went in a couple of months before me to Dr. Muhammad and had four wisdom teeth removed with no issues. She felt nothing during the procedure and healed very quickly with no issues. I immediately scheduled my appointment with Dr Muhammad to have two remaining wisdom teeth removed. I am 26 years older than my daughter and was expecting to heal a lot slower. After a week I was much better and at 2 weeks I could barely tell I had me work done at all. I obeyed every do and do not do on the list that they gave me after the procedure. All of the staff at both the Simpsonville and the Verde locations we awesome! Very professional and very nice! I highly recommend either location, Dr Mohammad or any of the other amazing Doctors at Carolinas Center for oral and facial surgery!

Jim had to have two teeth extracted and was dreading it because he has so many other health problems and takes so many medications. Dr. Gill had already reviewed his history and had a plan on our first visit. Jim felt safe and said the procedure went easier than expected. He has recovered well and has already recommended Dr. Gill to friends.

Everything went smoothly. The consultation was quick, yet informative and assuring. Procedure went great and the staff make sure you are ready and relaxed before starting. At home recovery is up to the patient; however, instructions given by the staff are clear and easy to follow, and assure a successful recovery!

My request to be evaluated for corrective Sleep Apnea Surgery, even at the age of 72, was handled very professionally with all aspects of the procedures necessary detailed and fully explained. For my particular case, this is a two-part surgical process. As of today, the fist surgical procedure has been completed without any issues and I am now ready for the second/last surgical procedure. Without describing the procedure(s), I want to greatly emphasize the professionalism and the quality of care I have and continue to receive from all of the doctors and associates involved in my case. I have been pleasantly and greatly impressed with the amount of technical and mock-up planning that has went into my surgical procedures. I went to Carolinas Center for Oral and Facial Surgery because I had a wisdom tooth that had been bothering me. I hadn’t eaten in days, I was so miserable. They were able to get me in the office within an hour of calling. All of the staff were so nice and compassionate. They were able to schedule surgery to get my wisdom teeth removed within the week. Anyone looking to have any type of oral surgery, this place should be your first and only stop!

Dr. Haigler was so knowledgeable! She is very thorough with her exam. I originally had TMJ surgery on my left side 33 years ago. When the pain started on the right, I was very anxious. Dr. Haigler took a lot of time to find the best solution to my pain and discomfort. I would highly recommend her 100 times over!

Had my 4 wisdom teeth extracted here a couple weeks ago. Went into the procedure not very excited to have it, everyone at the office was very nice and pleasant to talk to. Dr. Tankersley did a great job explaining the procedure to me. I was able to get scheduled quickly after my initial consult for the extraction. Day of was good, dont remember the procedure at all and had very minimal pain that day and throughout the recovery period. I would recommend them to anyone!

Dr. Howell performed surgery to remove severe Mandibular Tori in my bottom jaw. In my consult, He provided a very thorough explanation of the procedure. His team worked with me on the insurance benefits and surgery plan. The surgery was very well done. I was particularly impressed by how neatly that Dr. Howell managed the excess tissue around the gum line and the quality and attention to stitching. There was no injury to my tongue, surrounding gums or adjacent tissue. Our daughter was treated for jaw joint pain at this office. On 10/1/2020 they performed an arthrocentesis on her and the procedure completely fixed her issue. I cannot say enough about the awesome staff - Dr. Cook, Shelia, and so many others were totally awesome!!!! I would highly recommend them to anyone needing help. We had a great experience with Carolinas Center for Oral And Facial Surgery. Dr. Howell was thorough and very kind to my son as he had some anxiety about the procedure. We had to return to the office a week later because my son was still in a good bit of pain and Dr. Howell took great care of him!

Dr Howell was awesome . I have told everyone that I know how great my experience was,let me know everything that was happening to me,talked to me in laymen s language so I knew what he was saying.

I have several grievances with how I was taken care of at this office and would absolutely advise against going here. I met with Dr. Haigler about six weeks ago for a consultation regarding my TMD/TMJ. I will list my grievances.1. Timing. Why does it take over a month to see someone here? And why does it take an additional six weeks to book a follow up appointment? Stop accepting new patients.2. Uncertainty at the end of consultation. By the end of my consultation I knew nothing new about my condition. I felt I gave as much information as possible, and that my concerns were ignored. At the end of the consultation, she proposed a treatment but could not explain concisely how it was going to help me. Specifically, she proposed an injection and said it would lubricate the joint to prevent discomfort. I don’t understand how this to be an effective treatment because I do not believe my jaw is popping in normal operation. This can only be fully understood with imaging. Why was imaging not done with my mouth open to understand the movement at the joint, especially when I’ve expressed concerned regarding my range of motion and my jaw clicking twice. Not to mention one of the clicks is accompanied by extreme deviation in my bite/a cross bite.3. Communication with the office. I wrote the office using the website and I sent them an email. They ignored both. My email was regarding my visit and my uncertainty around my next appointment. Basically my concern was this. Dr. Haigler recommended a treatment and left the room. Then, her assistant told me, oh BTW this treatment isn’t covered by insurance. So of course I’m like, well can I talk to dr. Haigler again? Nope! She’s in a meeting now! Okay, well can I talk to her directly before the next time I see her? So I can understand what my next treatment is going to be, that IS covered by insurance? Nope! Have to wait six weeks for that bud! So what, I’m supposed to go into the office blind six weeks from now, be charged another couple hundred bucks just to be told there is no other treatment? I don’t think so. Today, six weeks later they finally followed up with me when my appointment is in two days, and I voiced my concern to Sam, (that I didn’t want to show up and pay if I wasn’t sure there even WAS any treatment available covered by insurance). She told me, I can’t talk to Dr. Haigler directly without an appointment. When I called my orthodontist’s office who hasn’t seen me in almost a decade, he called me back on his cell phone. Chatted with me, acted concerned for my health like a human being. If you’re to busy to actually communicate with your patients, stop accepting new patients.If you’re having wisdom teeth extracted, I’m sure it’s just fine here. If you have a serious medical issue regarding your jaws? I would look elsewhere. If you have TMD? Don’t walk away, run.

My eight year old had a very unique issue with his baby and permanent teeth that not only required oral surgery, but orthodontics prior to the surgery. Dr. Howell and his staff worked with the orthodontist to make sure my son’s surgery was timely and most effective for his issue. I have high standards for how a medical staff should interact with pediatric patients and was beyond thrilled with Dr. Howell, Dr. Vana (anesthesiologist), nurses, and team as a whole. I highly recommend Dr. Howell and his staff for any oral surgery needs.

Everyone in the office is very friendly and helpful. My daughter felt comfortable from the moment we walked in the door. She was nervous about her procedure, but Dr. Howell was great. He helped her relax. Everything went great. The assistant was very calm and even let my daughter hold her hand as her teeth were removed. Great office and great people.

Terrible experience. Was referred for a consultation regarding my wisdom teeth. I spent a total of 2 hours here. All of 5 minutes was with the actual doctor who looked at my teeth for maybe 2 of those minutes and the rest was waiting and then waiting some more to get a quotation. Their quote ended up being completely wrong - my insurance mailed a pre-certification of benefits and the difference was hundreds of dollars. Worse than that, they sent me a bill for $29 for the 2 hours of my time that they wasted on top of the $116 dollars my insurance already paid out for those 5 min. I chose not to go ahead with the procedure after this horrible experience.

Very competent oral surgeons and support staff! Needed a back molar removed and went to see Dr. Ashley Tankersley. She is super nice and informative. Definitely explained everything in detail and during the procedure she took extra measures to ensure my comfort and excellent outcome. Our visit, Including two children having wisdom teeth extracted,was done quickly and professionally. The office called us the morning of the appt. and asked if we would like to come in earlier. Both of my kids were finished in 30 minutes, brought to the car made sure they were OK. Both of them had all of their medication ready to pick up for us on the way home. My son developed an infection three weeks later and the office got us right in, taking care of it in less than 30 minutes. My daughter was referred here from her dentist. Well, she was out of network here. No one told us and I had even spoken with someone there to give them her insurance. I was NEVER told even when they brought me the treatment plan. It gets better, then they charged me 145.00 for the consultation. I wasted my time, took off work and for NOTHING. Now I will find a oral surgeon in our network and have to do another consultation and take off time from work. I think this is 100% wrong. I work as a CMA and I would never bring a patient in that was out of network without calling them and explaining this to them. So, beware...they take your money and tell you nothing. HORRIBLE I dont know anyone that would want to waste their time and money. I have made a call to the office manager. BEWARE BEWARE

Despite a packed schedule, Dr. Howell and the team squeezed us in today so that we could sleep tonight. Great company and nice location. They did surgery for my son and were very gentle and treated us very well.

I was referred to them by my orthodontist. I called them in December 2019 for an appointment and the only thing they had available was in mid February 2020. I went to the appointment and loved the doctor I saw, Dr. Howell. He was really great! I will need to have double jaw surgery and bottom wisdom teeth removed. Due to being out of network, I was advised by the surgery coordinator that they offer a low cost cash/finance offer of $26,500. We let them know to go ahead and contact my insurance company to find out how much it will be. My insurance sent me a letter on 3/13/20, saying they will approve the surgery. Due to COVID-19, everything had been put on hold. Reach out to the office on 4/22. They were really nice, but unfortunately I find out how they deal with out-of-network patients. They can not let you know ahead of time how much it will cost me out of pocket. My total cost for surgery will be $81,500. They said that they have to collect the full amount from me, being that I am out-of-network, then do the surgery, then bill the insurance, and then whatever money the insurance payed to the doctor. I will then get that money back. Needless to say, but I will not be having my surgery done there. I wish I could afford it, but who can afford a house payment or even finance the cash price upfront. Not me, that is for sure. Just wish from the initial consult that they would have let me know the full process of how they bill insurance on that first day. Instead of now being 4-5 months of my time wasted.

I am not sure how to feel about this place. What started off as a not so bad experience in Simpsonville ended up being a very frustrating situation when working with the Greenville Office. First, I had issues with my services and the way I was treated that was eventually resolved. Well more so, I just decided to not deal with this place anymore. Only to find out , I was over charged $500+ on my service. It’s been like pulling teeth trying to get a refund on my $$$. It has now been more than two weeks and the only thing they can tell me is that the check shows disbursed in the system about two weeks and three days ago. Well, I haven’t received it. Nobody can provide any info. I have ordered other packages after the disbursement date was provided and those packages have arrived. Charlotte, NC and Greenville, SC are not that far!!Reading some reviews from the past, this happens a lot for some reason. There seems to be a discrepancy between the billing department and insurance. First, I was advised the price would be $1,000, then after correcting the lady and letting her know my insurance was in network, the service went down to $750 . To later find out the service was suppose to be under $300. What a hot mess!!! This will be escalated.

On the day of extraction, the office operated efficiently without sacrificing quality care. They seem to go above and beyond in providing a positive experience for the both the patient as well as those who are waiting in the lobby for the patient during surgery. The lobby is comfortable, inviting, quiet, and even has a nice work table with outlets. The addition of a Keurig and mini-fridge with bottled water also sends a message that they want to provide a comfortable experience for their patients and their families. Dr. Howell and his staff are friendly and compassionate toward their patients. We highly recommend his office to anyone who has oral/facial surgery needs.
