I made an appointment with the Greenville location for my birthday. I spoke with someone in the phone to make sure I was able to get an appointment since it was last minute. I requested a prenatal massage. I drove 30 minutes to get to this location and took the time off work only to be advised while waiting that the masseuse that I was scheduled with was not certified to do prenatal massages. She did apologize and offer to reschedule for another day, but that should have been something that was figured out prior to me driving all the way to the location and sitting and waiting for the appointment. If I would have been advised of the issue in advanced. I could have tried to find another location or company to use. I think the communication could have and should have been handled better as to not waste my time.

The atmosphere was extremely relaxing as soon as I entered the spa. Everyone was very professional.

I received a gift card for Mother’s Day and finally got to use it. This is a wonderful place!! Karen is a great massage therapist. She did an exceptionally wonderful job!! Everyone was so nice from check in til checkout!! The place is so clean and also has a wonderful ambiance!! I will definitely return. I was offered the monthly rate, but never felt pressured, which was very nice!!

The facial and massage was very professional. I loved every minute of it. I really needed just to relax for an hour and forget everything that was going on in my life to enjoy this. The lady that did the facial was amazing. Very professional and gave me lots of feedback on what to do fit my face. I will be definitely sending family and friends over her way.

My husband was super sweet and bought me a massage and facial here yesterday for my birthday. The entire experience was less than satisfactory and the overall experience wasn’t exactly “relaxing.”When I went in for my massage she asked me what type of pressure I liked, I said medium because if you go too hard I will not enjoy it. Overall the massage was good, but she went in really deep on my back and neck to the point where I’ve had a headache since my massage over 24 hours ago. Also moving my head in certain directions hurts. I’ve been lightly sore after a massage but not to the point I feel I need an additional massage to recover because it feels like my muscles are bruised. When I was ready for my facial I was given a robe without a tie and was told they didn’t have any with ties so I’d just have to hold it in place (minor inconvenience but still played a part) and I was supposed to go into a separate room to wait for my facial. That room was apparently full and I had to sit in the massage room while my massage therapist cleaned it up for the next customer. When I got my facial, the woman asked me 3 times if I was gifted through a gift card. I told her no. She was trying to upsell me a good bit of the time which lead to a less than enjoyable facial. She is good though, I was very happy with the end result regardless.Then I felt extreme pressure to buy skin care after the fact. I have sensitive skin and would personally prefer to wait until I see how my skin reacts to a product throughout the day. She watched me check out and again, it just all felt very pressuring. I’ve had better experiences elsewhere and can honestly say I expected more. Overall the staff was very friendly, but this experience was just not as relaxing and enjoyable as I had hoped.

This was my first time at Hand and Stone and it was an amazing experience! Simone did my facial and she was wonderful. She walked me through the whole process and explained every product she was using which was super helpful! I got the rejuvenating facial and it was exactly what I needed before my wedding this week! The whole experience was wonderful and extremely relaxing. Ill definitely be back!

Love this place. From scheduling to check out is super easy. We were there Monday April 12 at 1 pm. The front staff are amazing. The message was more than perfect. We even joined the club they have so we can go back. Club is optional but worth it. Go here. You will go back.

I received a free package gift from a friend to go here. Just know that theyre going to want you to give them a tip as well. I had a 45 minute full body massage. It was relaxing, and it felt good, but it wasnt as good as I had expected. I suppose I was hoping for a deep tissue massage, but thats definitely not what they deliver here. I wouldnt go back for that reason, since it didnt have any lasting effect or help heal the knots in my back and keck.

The Location at Woodruff Rd. was great! The massage was very relaxing and after my massage my pain was gone. They were friendly and had great customer service something a lot of places are lacking these days. I will be returning there.

I purchased a $100 gift card for my husband for a Christmas present. When he called to set up his appointment, he was told that his hour long massage would be $60 which is the introductory rate. He had his massage today and when he paid with the gift card, he was charged $100 (not $60). When he asked why, they said that a gift card doesn’t receive the introductory rate. So the moral of the story: don’t ever buy a gift card here, just give your loved one cash for the massage.

Jesse is, by far, the best massage therapist I’ve ever had. Professional, calming and dials in on any areas that need work. Especially good at working the neck, shoulders and scapula areas. Always booked, so you must book several sessions in advance.

Hand and Stones entire team is wonderful. When you walk in youre greeted with a smile and called by name. The waiting area is always clean and peaceful. Ivebeen a member for more than 2 years and Ive never seen the waiting area less than immaculate. During this Covid time the customers have been asked to check in and wait in your vehicle until your appointment time. In my opinion this demonstrates that Hand and Stone places safety first for its employees and patrons.The massage therapist that I prefer to see is Jessie. Jessie is very conciensious about the need of his patrons. After he greets you he asks what he needs to work on. If I have a particular issue he listens attentively and makes sure that he and I are in agreement before he steps out for me to get ready for my massage. When Jessie returns he goes straight to work making sure that my needs are met during my session. If you like deep tissue, Jessie is the therapist that you want to try. He delivers his technique with care and the determination to make sure that Im satisfied with my session. Whether I request a deep tissue or a gentle relaxing massage, Jessie ALWAYS delivers. In my opinion hes the BEST therapist in South Carolina.If youre looking for a Spa that is professional, courteous and determined to make its patrons happy, you have to try Hand and Stone.

Like any place there are some therapists better than others. The several I have experienced will take the time to find out what you need focused on. They have all put in the effort needed to get the results for my medical condition. No hard upsales either. They might mention it when asking what you need from the session and thats it. So far I come away with the impression that their main concern is your well-being.

She works with me on a series of anti aging facials, and now I get compliments on my skin all the time ( I’m 67). She has the sweetest personality and an excellent knowledge of what my skin type needs.I totally recommend Hand and Stone and Simone!

I had hurt my back and prefer massage over chiropractic. The young woman who worked with me was highly intelligent. She knew about pressure points and educated me on them as well as how to take better care of my back. She showed me some exercises as well. I wish I could remember her name. I believe she was blonde and a little petite. She has a gift. My back pain is gone.

My husband booked me a prenatal massage for my birthday. He called around and booked here. The day of, they charged us $10 over the price they originally told my husband. The massage was fine, but 5 minutes short of an hour. The most annoying thing for me was that I had to lay on my sides during the whole massage. My husband and were both under the impression that there would be a cut out in the table for the belly. I felt like my back didn’t really get massaged good (which I really needed!). I would’ve loved that have laid on my back and stomach (something I haven’t done in a long time!). It was also weird because when my arms got massaged, I was face to face with the masseuse. I wouldn’t pay this price again for the prenatal massage. I’m not sure how the other massages are, but I won’t be going back...

The girls at the front desk are so polite and professional and glad to answer any questions. If you need to catch up on your services you can freeze your account for up to 3 months. No hassle. They have lots of specials that you can purchase. My provider did not converse with me during our service except to ask how the pressure was. The Hot stone and the salt stone experience is also very good.

Completely unsatisfied with the quality of massages. I have been getting massages my whole life and I can honestly say the people at this establishment do not care about fixing your problems. If you like being touched by a hand this is the place for you- if you want a purposeful and effective treatment to reduce pain, tension, or stress I would go elsewhere. One time I came here and the masseuse had a broken thumb, I was given a complimentary upgrade card and I did not receive the extra services. Additionally, I asked for a FULL BODY massage and the masseuse only massaged my back.

Great and friendly atmosphere

Last summer I wanted a massage while on vacation over in Charleston. We ended up booking massages at the Summerville location & signed up for their monthly service. Now Greenville is the closest location to me & I finally met MY favorite massage therapist Karen. We are kindred spirits. However, even outside of Karen, each visit has been great. They ask the right questions & the atmosphere is very tranquil. They give you a little flavored water after to keep you hydrated. The monthly service is either a massage or a facial. I LOVE my relaxation massages, so havent tried the facial service yet.

Jessica is the bomb 💣 she made me feel ultra comfortable right away and pushed on every knot in just the right way , she was amazing. The receptionists (the girl who I spoke with on the phone) and the one who was there very welcoming and sweet. I would recommend them for sure

I had another rewarding experience with Kira and Hand & Stone. She takes time to attend to my needs, she is knowledgeable about facials, and I always leave feeling and looking better than when I arrive. Awesome!

If you pay for an appointment ahead of time and then for some reason cant make it, they will charge you an additional $30. Even if you pay ahead of time they still bill you extra. I would not recommend going here

I have been going regularly for more than three years, and Ive experienced many wonderful massages. I would tell you the name of my favorite masseuse, but its already hard enough to get an appointment with him, so I wont. But Ive gone to others as well and never had a bad experience. I have less experience with facials, but the ones Ive had have been good.In addition, the facilities have always been clean and the receptionists friendly and knowledgeable. They have products for sale in the lobby, and if a receptionist sees me looking at something, shell tell me about it, but Ive never been given a hard sell.

Ive been a member of Hand and Stone for several years. My massage therapist Joy is an angel. I look forward to our monthly session and feel like Im walking on air when I leave. The facility is clean, comfortable and the ladies who greet you are polite and very professional. Overall I love this place and adore Joy.

My appointment was at 11am. I get there at 10:57am and dont go back to the room until 11:13am. The massage finished at 11:54am, so my husband pays for a 1 hour massage that I clearly didnt get. I requested 2 additional services (hot stones and eucalyptus), of which neither were used. She just seemed like she was in a rush. At checkout I asked what did the $99.95 include and the receptionist (who clearly has an attitude by the way) says its just the massage. I wanted to make sure the two additional services were not charged. Okay, she proceeds to show me a flyer that shows the $59.95 massage (that is listed on their website) but you had to sign up to be a member to get that price. Really? Oh, and the towel warmer was not working when she finished the massage... Does this not get checked regularly to ensure that it is working? Ive had other massages at different places and this the worst experience I have ever had. I wont be going to this place again. Would you like to leave gratuity? Nope. I always leave good tips when they are well deserved.

I exercise regularly and really need someone to work out sore muscles and knots while also making the experience enjoyable and both were accomplished here!

The staff at Hand & Stone Massage are extremely incompetent. I scheduled an appointment for a 1 hour massage for 5pm on a Saturday. Two hours later at around 11 am I receive a phone call back from them saying that there was a scheduling error. They asked if I could help them out and to come at 6pm instead. Completely understanding that errors happen, I moved around my own schedule to accommodate them. I arrive at 6pm and the staff there says that they do not see me in the system and that I was not scheduled. They basically said that I mustve called a different location or that I made some mistake....I pulled up my phone records showing them that I DID INDEED receive a phone call from them at 11:23 am that same morning! They half heartedly apologized one time in the conversation and offered no solutions to help the situation... They clearly have no respect for a persons schedule while running their own. I felt cheated because was kind enough to move my appointment FOR THEM only to eventually get screwed later on. They didnt offer anything for inconveniencing me, they didnt try to move things around the following day to make up for their mistake, they pretty much just stood there in silence repeating You are not on the schedule. Thank you for wasting my time Hand & Stone...I had a terrible experience.

I was in pain and needed a massage. I spent a stressful hour with my therapist answering questions about suicide, hearing her life story , offering advice, and listening to and defending disparaging comments about President Trump and our First Lady. I left with more stress. Then the cashier was rude when I didn’t want the monthly plan.

Nice place

Everyone there was super nice and the massages themselves were fantastic. Im still recovering from being paralyzed by Guillain-Barre, but there was a noticeable difference in my walking afterwards. The oil they used left me feeling so soft and smooth! It did sting a little on my legs because I have sensitive skin and I shaved right before we went. So! If you have sensitive skin, maybe shave the day before. But it really wasnt all that bad and was totally worth it for how great the massage was anyways. And their questionnaire has one about skin reactions, so they might even have a different oil for sensitive skin. I just didnt think about it.

The session went really well. The masseuse did a great job with helping me with the tension and pain from my shoulders, mid and lower back, and in my legs as well. Look forward to going again soon for another session

This was my first time ever getting a facial and it was great! My esthetician was so friendly and explained everything she was doing and why she was doing it! You are brought back into a dimly lit room with soft music playing. You do get out of your shirt because they do a mini massage as well. You then get under the covers on the bed and the esthetician comes back in the room to start the session. My skin was glowing the next day although it wasnt irritated the day of either. It was such a great relaxing experience and my esthetician also gave me tips to help my skin look better long-term and not just that visit. Just a heads up you will get propositioned to buy the skin products they have there, but they are the products they use on your face during the facial. So its kinda like you got a test run and can continue having nice skin outside of the facial.

Ive been to this location a few times, and I have to say that its be a perfect experience everytime. I went for my prenatal massages, and now I started coming back for chronic pain issues that the doctor cant explain. My doctor wanted to put me on some serious medication that would basically make me a zombie for Fibromyalgia pain that Ive been experiencing for almost the past year. After consulting about alternative routes, it led me right back to Hand and Stone for a hot stone massage. Amber was my therapist, and I seriously have to say with all confidence that this completely did a 180 on my pain. I came out sore, like she said I would, but each day I hurt a little less and less. Right now I have the option of NOT taking any pain medication. Thats how big of a difference it made. I feel like Oprah listing my favorite things, with this being on the top. The staff is amazing and professional. Amber was such a kind person. You can tell that they care about what theyre doing, and that really makes a huge difference these days when it seems like service everywhere is sub-par. Ive recommended this place for my sister in law who is having a different type of pain management issue. If youre debating on going, just go once. Youll see what makes them so different from everyone else.

Some of the staff members up front pressure you to become a member, get more services done than what you planned on getting and to schedule youre next appointment. But that is expected because they work off of commission and get credit for selling more but pressuring the customer doesnt benefit them it can cause them to lose customers. And I dont really think their microdermabrasion or chemical peels works Ive gotten many from there and they did nothing for my skin. Waste of money.

Awful location ! I became a member at the Hand and Stone in summerville SC where they treat there members like they are valued customers. This location however does not! Who cares if you are LOYAL to a company and PAY them a pretty penny EVERY MONTH just to never have anything available to book the massage YOUVE ALREADY PAID FOR THIS MONTH! Also last time I was in and wanted to purchase something I sat and waited for 25min for them to tell me they couldn’t figure it out!!! AND the last session I paid for in ADDITION to my monthly payment for membership was cut short by 20min that’s right my $50 facial lasted about 35min! Unbelievable for a place of business where you are suppose to relax and enjoy yourself is such an awful place to be! Again the Summerville location is wonderful, Greenville however should really step the game up. Very displeased and will most likely be taking my business to Massage Envy where I’m valued!

If I cancel 10 minutes before they appoint meant they would charge me but if they cancel I’m suppose to accept it. This company is a rip off! Do not get a membership!New review: Ok update to the last post. I’m changing the 2 to a 1. I finally got an appointment and during my facial the girl used plastic gloves during the entire facial. Near the end I finally asked about this and she said I she was as allergic to most of the products due to her skin condition. Blee my mind. She’s allergic but I’m supposed to buy the products. Also during the wait there was cute allthroughout their furniture. The place looked very worn down. You get what you pay for.Old review:What’s the point in having a membership when you can’t use it. It was an okay massage but not good enough to make me want to come back (my therapist spoke too much and was very opinionated). The front desk staff were not very happy to be there, it seemed, and the restroom smelled really bad. The location is somewhat of a headache, and coupled with my experience, I will not be going back and I would never recommend hand & stone to anyone I know
