Wow is all I can say! Ive worked in healthcare over 30 years and absolutely love the care and compassion I see staff have for their residents here. So thankful that this is now an Inspirit community. Its obvious their core values are different than previous owners. From the moment you pull in you can feel this community is something special and different from its tranquil setting, but highly desired location.

The Parker was established at this address in January 2020. We are excited to serve the residents and staff while building a loving, family oriented team.

I am a local music teacher who brought some of my students to this facility to play for the residents. The children spent many weeks learning their pieces and were prepared to do their best and be a blessing to the residents. I scheduled my concert before there were any other activities on the facilitys calendar for that day.Two hours before the recital the activity director sent me a cryptic e-mail that they were having bingo in that room right after our concert and I couldnt move the tables to arrange seating for the people I was bringing. Parents, she said, could stand at the side. This was not what she had promised me previously. I immediately e-mailed her back and left a phone message--no answer.I arrived at the facility early to try to arrange the room. The activity director was not present, nor did she ever arrive to see if our group needed anything or to encourage residents to come. No thanks to her, I was able to arrange the room to accommodate seating my students and their parents, but it was stressful and frustrating.Do you know how many residents came to listen to us? One. Just one. I have played at many nursing homes and the staff, valuing participation from the community, always makes a concerted effort to gather up residents to listen to the performers who come. There was no effort made here. I asked the receptionist (who was coloring adult coloring pages at her desk) if she could see about collecting an audience. She looked helplessly at me, wandered the building a little and reported back to me that she all she saw was a med tech. I called the activity director, who was still absent and left a voicemail--no answer. That was all. We were a collective yawn. So we played for ourselves. No one came, except one kind older gentleman who arrived halfway through the concert. The message sent loud and clear from this facility is that community involvement doesnt matter. Children wanting to bless the elderly dont matter. Being hospitable and communicating with volunteers doesnt matter. The kids put in all that time and effort for a facility who gave them the back of their hand.We will not be back.

They promise you the best care and peace of mind but they dont do anything they say. They do not encourage participation, they do not care if your loved one eats or not, they do not check on them regularly. They have 2 aides handling all the residents and they are not trained properly to handle the issues of memory patients. Yes I made several complaints...no they were never resolved. I cared for my mom 3 years. She died 1 month after entering this facility. I will not go into why but it was inexcusable.
