Brookdale Dickinson is such an amazing place to work! I can truly say that our staff and companies number one priority is highest quality of care! Although making every person happy is nearly impossible we strive each day to create the cleanest, family oriented, home like experience for every resident. Every day I walk through those doors I know that something new is going to touch my life in the best of ways. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was just informed that a women who was there was violently thrown in her bed and told “I have no time for your northern carpet bagging ways” by a nurse. The women is now safe in a respectable home but this is outrageous. These people are actually treating patients horrible based on where they are born.If I can find the name of the nurse that said this I’ll post it but something needs to be said to hopefully protect your loved ones from this abuse in their time of need.

I think the staff person needs to respond to Lisa here in this forum. Put in writing your response since Lisa took the time to inform the general public about what she experienced. I am well aware of the corporate structure of nursing home marketing and it is first and foremost a capitol enterprise shrouded in a veil of compassion.

I advise future employees not to apply here if you arent black and arent a single parent. You will be discriminated and disregarded. They are NOT family oriented. DO not apply here.

As long as the resident has NO dementia or issues, this place is probably fine. However, just be aware that they are out for money first and foremost. They will say anything to get you in there (with the non-refundable $2500 activity fee) and then if there are any problems, they dont have any hesitation kicking someone out. We went there to tour it and told the lady who spoke with us (a salesperson, who received a car for selling the most rooms that year) that my father had dementia issues and would try to come on to women. We were very upfront about his issues and did not hide anything because we wanted to be sure this place would be appropriate for him with his dementia. She insisted that this was not a problem, said shed had a resident grab her breasts and they were trained to deal with this kind of thing. Once he was there and started exhibiting these behaviors, all of a sudden, the manager claimed she knew nothing about his dementia. Then it was about how fast they could kick him out, sadly informing me that the $2500 activity fee was non-refundable, even though he had only been there a few months. We were given a few weeks to find somewhere to move him, and finally found a place in Windsor that accepted him and were actually trained in dealing with dementia patients. 10/29/17 AND NO THIS WAS NOT RESOLVED
